Steigenberger Metropolitan - فرانكفورت

The people at the Steigenberger were wonderful. Very helpful and knowledgeable about the city and surrounding country side. Also very courteous and friendly. The hotel's location next to the train station made it very convenient for our day trips to Koblenz and Heidelberg, both of which were beautiful cities to visit. The location was also a negative because the area around the train staion is not the greatest. If you exit by platform 24, you just have to cross the street to get to the hotel, and this was fine for two women traveling together. It was also easy to get around the city from this location. The breakfast at the hotel was wonderful. Great stay.

the front desk was very helpful and professional. I used many amenities...sauna, printer, gym and solarium and appreciated their help. The wifi was above average and it was difficult to print, so not that fab for business. But again, the front desk was extremely helpful.

Due to train trouble I ended up getting to the hotel very late 3:30 AM and was only able to stay for a grand total of 5 hours. That having been said, I found it to be a very nice hotel and specifically the shower is amazing!! The shower head was one of those gentle rain shower types, only the water pressure was cranked up to 11 and the result was it exfoliates while it rinses! The breakfast was good but had a limited selection. The location was perfect for me because I had catch a flight at Frankfurt flughafen (airport), and all I had to do was cross the street and get onto a train which leaves every 15 minutes in the morning. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Relaxing after a hard days work

Very good

I stayed here during my yearly attendance of a trade fair at the Frankfurt Messe. This is a good location only being a about a 15 minute walk from the Messe, Of course the rates are expensive whenever a large trade fair comes to town. Overall the room was decent, not huge but typical for European rooms. My only complaint was that the free wifi in the room repeatedly dropped off for long periods of time and then would come back on. It was not a consistent connection and although I asked at the front desk, they told me it must be my PC as nobody else complained. Yeah right. Regardless, this place was good and I would probably stay here again.

It was very nice indeed. The room was clean, and so was the hotel itself. Also the location was very good, just across the street from Frankfurt Main Hbf.

Steinberger hotels have good reputation. This hotel had Steinberger like service but the hotel was not as luxurious as e.g. the Steinberger Herrenhof in Vienna, prob. owing to its location near the main railway station. But that location and its proximity to ther River etc. are the main reason to stay there. The eighborhood is not great but that is typical for railway staions so I did not expect any better.

Everything was great except one thing: Wifi password kept changing all the time. That might bother some people who are on a business trip.

Stay was fine escept for a noisy waterpipe that made a loud squealing noise every 10 minutes all night and we didnt get much sleep.

We enjoyed our stay. From meeting the young man at registration who was most helpful with directions and suggestions, to the Sunday morning breakfast that started off our travel with a great meal.

It is a great and clean hotel with very helpful staff and wonderful breakfast. Parking is a problem due to the number of spaces available (only 7 spots for a hotel this size). It was a great stay and we will stay there again.

I enjoyed my stay here very much. It's very convenient to the main train station, and there is a certain grittiness in the neighborhood that goes with that. I was surprised that there was no coffee service in the room... that's the first hotel that didn't provide coffee. Nevertheless, I recommend the hotel, the room was great, the breakfast was great, and I will stay here again when I come back to Frankfurt.

Absolutely no complaints about are stay. Clean, well maintained rooms, short walk to shopping and restaurants, across the street from the train station. Parking was somewhat expensive.

Good hotel located across the road from train station. Excellent included breakfast and very helpful staff.

Overall experience was just so so. The only problem was the air condition was very noisy . I thought it was just my room but the staff said every room is the same and they could not do anything to it. The nights I stayed were at high room rate. I expected better quality because it cost me the most during my 17 days, 3 countries trip including Switzerland where everything is expensive!

Very nice hotel close to the train station. Clean room and nice bathroom. Our room was very quiet, The breakfast buffet was one of the best I have experienced in Europe.

It was good but the rooms where to small

This hotel is excellent for any length of stay..... 2 minutes from the station with A-1amenities. It was the highlight of our 5 week European holiday.

Staff very welcoming and standards very high. Great location for the Bahnhof and the City Centre. Will stay there again. Very comfortable room.

We loved this hotel. Beds and pillows are very comfortable, the dining room serves delicious food, and there is a nice bar area (where guests receive a free glass of sparkling wine). Although it is right next to the train station, which at first concerned us (noise/grunge issues), it actually turned out to be a great location. There is also a major subway station on the same block, and there are many other hotels in the vicinity. We would absolutely stay here again.

This hotel is over the road from the main train station & given it is a busy location the rooms were quiet enough to get a good night sleep. Breakfast was good including eggs to order. Spa is also well appointed, clean & quiet. It is oriented to business people rather than tourists.

I stayed at this hotel for 8 days as I was attending a course near the Messe. The hotel was great - staff were super helpful, spoke excellent English and the hotel had every convenience including a gym, sauna, free wifi and a lovely bar downstairs. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic. Even though it is right by the train station it was not noisy at all, although my room was on the opposite side of the hotel on the top level which may have been why it was quiet. The area around the train station is not so nice but if you have to stay around that are this hotel is a winner.

Excellent hotel, in front of the main train station. Rooms a little small, but they are nice. Free WiFi, parking is additional at Euro 16.00

Usually, the neighborhood next to the train station is a bit on the down-side. Not a problem here, as the hotel is about 80' feet from the side door of the station...and the bus routes...also walking distance from the better shopping area. Hotel provided good service, free internet, and breakfast.

A nice hotel with a great staff. Although I had some problems with Wi-Fi connection due to poor network work. The location is good enough, near the grand central train station. But I found some streets around (with casinos and strip clubs) not really safe. Though it's kinda not a problem: if you go to the city center, you can walk a more convenient Mainzer Landstrasse. The breakfast was great. I also liked the approach to the clients. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

Wonderful hotel; staff friendly & curteous. Buffet breakfast was delicious. Walked everywhere using the main streets as recommended by hotel staff.

Perfect location, very nice staff, excellent room service and food. Also, they allowed me a very early check-in without questions asked. Overall, a perfect stay!

Right across the train station - great location. In the evening, neighborhood becomes desolate, a bit seedy but not unsafe. Biggest problem is no control for AC. You can adjust thermostat all you want but does not do anything. Don't book if you expect warm weather. Open window makes the room very noisy if facing the train station. Check in person was efficient but not very helpful. There are lots of restaurant nearby including in the station but she advised that nothing s nearby and I should eat at the hotel restaurant, which is rather pricey and dull.

the service & the hotel itself is absolutely fantastic. 10/10.
