I stayed in the Clarion for 2 nights while in town on business. The hotel is very central and affords lovely views of the city. The staff were pleasant and willing to help. There were only 2 things negatives against the hotel. 1) Parking. The car park closes at 6pm however the hotel will provide access outside these hours but this isn't clear when you book. 2) There was some excessive wear and tear in the room including some dirty grouting and worn door edges. However, overall the Clarion is a good place to stay

The hotel had a lovely view of the river and part of the city. It was an easy walk into the city from the hotel. The room was a good size and and the layout was designed to make you look at the lovely river view. Parking was handy to the hotel and easy to find.

From the minute we arrived we received the best service. Smiles from all staff members during our stay. Food in hotel restaurant on our first night was top notch. pool is a little small but the young man who works the leisure center was friendly and full of chat. Front desk recommended lovely restaurant " The Cornstore" for dinner on our second night and it was superb! All in all I give the staff 10 out of 10 for customer service.

Amazing views, lovely room, great stay. Only slight downside was room temp little cold and difficult to control. Food in bar really tasty.

Great experience..friendly Atmosphere. Staffs were great, room was clean bt d only problem for me was d bed..two single bed was joined together thereby leaving a gap in d middle..it a little bit uncomfortable to sleep

Unexpected views from our room. The only negative is that the room was extremely cold and we had no way of controlling the heat. Went to bed to get warm and in the morning decided to call to ask for heat; once they turned it on the room was comfortable. Word of advice is to ask for heat if your room feels cold.

The bed was uncomfortable - 2 beds pushed together & sagging in the middle

Great time , warm and friendly welcome. Nice hotel easy to get to staff courteous and helpful. Food in Kudos excellent, didn't eat in main dining room. Have stayed before and will again.

The hotel is centrally located and close to the old part of Limerick. Facilities are adequate for the needs of most travellers and the staff are ready with helpful suggestions and advice about the city.

Great value for 3 night stay. Great views from the 14th floor. Clean and well kept though bed was a bit stiff. Parking in a multistorey car park across the road, sometimes requires staff to open gate after 19:00.

Good rate on the room, competitive price, was of a good standard, staff pleasant which is a huge plus, food and beverage a little on the pricey side but overall will b using the clarion in limerick again, decent hotel

Overall, this is a great place, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. A very nice gentleman checked me in for a late arrival--and kindly walked to the car park to open it for me. The hotel itself is very stylish and nicely decorated. I was told I was getting a room with a double bed and a single bed. I was shocked at how LARGE their idea of a "double" bed was--and very pleased--it is more like a king sized bed! I would love to see what a king sized bed is like in this hotel--it must be massive! The view from my room was great--overlooking the Shannon, as the hotel sits right by the river. The neighborhood seems safe enough--but there isn't much within walking distance to do--at least, not from what I saw. Also, it can be a little tricky to find the hotel--although you can see it on the horizon (one of the tallest buildings in Limerick) navigating the one way street system can be a bit tricky. The only thing that I was disappointed in was the fact that they do charge for parking in the car park--otherwise, you'd have to park on the street and pay there as well. Overall though, it is a nice hotel and I would go back.

Lovely riverside views, quiet room. Noisey air extractor in bathroom and weak lighting.

Almost everything very good. My husband found the bed a bit lumpy, though. The place shows a few signs of wear but the staff were lovely and it has a pool which was great after a long nasty drive. Breakfast excellent. Fantastic value. Best bit was river view.

Everything was of a brilliant standard and all staff we encountered in the hotel were polite and helpful. We needed to change our dinner reservation from 5 to 6 and there were no issues or hassle about it. The (I assume) manager/ waiter we were seated and sporadically served in Sinergie by was plain rude, unsociable and SO unpleasant to deal with. He put a dampener on the whole experience as we then avoided going to breakfast/lunch or dinner in the hotel for the remainder of our 2nifht stay. Pity.

An extremely professionally run hotel. Have no reason to stay anywhere else when we come back to Limerick to visit relatives

All very good. Nice staff with only one issue. Ordered a Burger fron roomservice and it took ages and arrived very, very overcooked. Ordered a poached egg fro breakfast and again it took a long time to arrive long after I'd finished the rest of my breakfast and was again overcooked.

This hotel is in a great location & the Kudos restaurant offers good & tasty Asian food.

Very nice hotel. Courteous and helpful staff. Bed was a little hard and it's a short walk to town, but nothing serious. Certainly an excellent value.

Nice room, decent location, nice view of the river.

The hotel was fne but the surrounding area was not pleasent especially around the skate board park

Staff friendly and informativedly, amenities, rooms and service excellent. A little disappointed no hotel parking. Discount parking at Euro parking only.

We only stayed one night but we loved it and it certainly left us wanting to go back again for an even longer romantic getaway!,The staff, room ,leisure centre, food, atmosphere, were superb and the only slight and I mean only slight annoyance was that our check in time was delayed by two hrs due to man city being there which actually turned out to create a real good buzz of excitement and in apologies to us they offered us a late check out of 3pm which was greatly appreciated and the staff member s name was Declan who I thought was so nice and looked after us well,we didnt know Limerick, he told us the area to go and called us a taxi which arrived in no-less then five mins, we really did feel made welcome. I would recommend this hotel to anyone as it really does offer an excellent service of making you feel welcome and the standard is just fabulous. Thank you so much, david and charlotte

We dfid not enjoy our stay and would not class the clarion as a four star hotel. the noise at night was bad we had to change rooms after the first night because of the noise. The beds were very hard, the food was very expensive and not very good. Overall we would not recommend this hotel to any of our friends

Easy to reach from Shannon airport, just 20minutes drive. We have stayed here on a number of occasions and found the hotel staff friendly and helpful, clean and tidy. The hotel is on the edge of the river and the 'city' centre, and has a working docks next door, but do not let this put you off. A stop-off at Dolans, just three minutes walk away, is a must! We'll be staying again!

Great customer service. Excellent and proper breakfast spread. Easy access to the parking garage. Grate rates through hotels.com. The bar area is upscale and served many different clientele.

Had a lovely time. Hotel was brill Staff was brill. And the weather was very nice. So everything made for a lovely weekend

Great view over river and Limmerick.Really comfy bed and room a good size. Staff really friendly and helpful. Breakfast good choice and plentiful. Surrounding area looked a bit run down but possibly getting re-developed. Easy access to walk into town centre which we did at night with no concerns but maybe wouldn't like to walk on my own at night although I had no concerns during the day.

Lovely room and lovely hotel. The view was fantastic. The food was a bit expensive but you cant have everything!

Lovely location. Room view over river was excellent. Staff both at reception and in the bar were really good, very helpful. Only slight grumble was room could do with refreshing. Stain on carpet and cobwebs on ceiling . But would still recommend on staff and location.

This hotel has exceptional staff who cannot do enough for guests. The service is second to none. The rooms and hotel in general are very clean . The leisure facilities are fine . Internet connection good. The views from the room and restaurant are excellent on the waters edge over the river shannon. The city is two minutes walk to o connell street . The hotel is used by locals for meetings , restaurant which is always a good indication. Excellent

Nice hotel, nice view over the water, good room, and fast check in / check out. One thing worth noting is that the car park is better suited to small cars. A medium to large car takes quite a bit of skill to maneuver in the multi-story car park which looks to be designed to maximize spaces and not maneuverability. Apart from that it’s a nice hotel.
