H10 MontCada - برشلونة

Arrived at 11a.m. Received room at 5 p.m. Small is the understatement. Cold, no heat, one window. Requested heat, they said would hae to wait until the next day. Checked Monday p.m., said heat would work. No such luck. Gave us a heater, too hot. Finally, on the last day, they fixed it. Now no, a/c, just heat. Staff nice, breakfast great, however, DO NOT PREPAY. You are stuck wher they put you.

The Hotel was find and the staff was the best part. It was disappointing that the beautiful bar on the roof top was closed down and not decorated as it shows in the pictures. That was one of the reasons I booked this hotel in the first place. It would have been a great place to have a drink and look at the city.

Great hotel and great location; however, it can be noisy at night as it is located on a main street in Barcelona.

Great hotel in a perfect location. Very nice and helpful hotel staff and a super breakfast. We can really recomend this hotel

I stayed for 2 nights. Very good service.

Downside - jacuzzi is available for free from 10-13:00 (when you don't really want it) and offered at the ridiculous price of euro49 for 30 minutes after that. But the service is stellar, the location pretty much perfect and the rooms were nice.

It was my first time in Barcelona and this hotel made my stay near-perfect. It's modern and clean and has a cool roof-top terrace. It's in a great neighborhood - not within walking distance to the Gaudi sites, but you can walk to the water and Las Rambla. Great restaurants and shops near the hotel as well. The only downsides are the rooms are a little small and they don't serve room service on Saturdays or Sundays, even though they tell you they do.

The hotel is great but the breakfast is not good compared to nothern europe standards. Drinks like milk and juice is standing without cooling and hence is warm. Also the breakfast area itself is located in the basement without any windows. Even though we had breakfast included in the price we decided to have our breakfast in one of the many restaurants very close to the hotel.

My Husband and I had a very nice stay in Hotel H10Montcada, our first time in Barcelona. Hotel was very central, bedroom very clean if a bit small. Bathroom a very good size and very clean. Staff very helpful and friendly. Bar service very good. We didn't try the restaurant in the hotel as there were so many nice restaurants in the various streets around the hotel, which was in the Gothic area. A short walk to the beautiful port and also a short walk to the main square, where there is El Corte Ingles etc. The Tour bus leaves from in front of El Corte Ingles and is well worth taking, giving you the opportunity of seeing all of Barcelona. I would stay in H10 Montcada again and would recommend it to my friends. Roof top bar was closed but it was too cold to sit up there anyway. Lovely hot tup on the roof and the bar was lovely, great view from the roof.

My daughter and I stay at the hotel for 8 days. This is Hotel is closed to all you will like to see. The Staff was super friendly and very Helpful. They check us in at 1:00 PM wen they had a room ready for us. The one restaurant I recomend Highly is Botafumeiro. I will stay here !!!

Really good location just down from the Plaza Catalunya. Easy to get to from the airport as the bus stops in the plaza. There is a good local bar across the road and a super eating place round the corner - can't remember the name but full of Spanish!

-Staff was friendly and helpful -We had a great corner room with an incredible view -Location was perfect in the heart of La Ramblas and near the water -City/metro noise didn't bother us (hardly heard anything with the windows closed) -58 EUR / night mon-thurs (Friday was far more expensive so we switched hotels) -Beds were fairly comfortable -Rooms were well cleaned -Only TV channels in English were business channels and you can't order movies -Overall, great bang for your buck and the perfect location

The location's great, in the middle of everything, and the hotel is clean and well maintained, but - the rooms are very small and the rooftop bar and restaurant are closed until further notice. The other bar has limited hours and the restaurant is only open for breakfast. If you don't want to leave your hotel, this is not the place for you, otherwise, you're in the middle of hundreds of bars and restaurants so who cares?

Clean room, Helpful and Friendly Staff We just two minor issues - no coffee in the room and beds were on wheels....be careful.. Rest excellent location and stay was very comfortable...

We actually checked into this hotel for the first four days of a 14 day trip. I saw that it was highly recommended from a simple google search. The hotel is beautifully located in the old section of Barcelona and allows a traveller to see all of the attractions quite easily. You couldn´t pay me enough to try and drive your own vehicle in Barcelona... that´s too crazy! This hotel allows you not to have a car. And don´t be afraid of the trains... once you get the hang of them, they´re amazingly efficient and cheap. There´s a METRO station right across the street from the hotel. But you could just as simply walk too, if you don´t mind a little exercise. Friendly staff that spoke English (convenient for us). Rooms were super clean and showers were awesome. Very sound-proofed rooms (traffic is loud, and a ton of it all night long). Excellent value for a tremendous location. About 20 euro for a cab from the airport, half of that for the Aerobus, with some walking. Overall, I gave this hotel a 5 out of 5, and I´ve been around the block. You wont´t be dissappointed...

Central location, friendly staff, high-standard room with a bathtub, incredible view and great decorations. Breakfast was out of this world. Highly recommendable!

Nice hotel in a nice place, although rooms are not very big, they are still great. We received a welcome drink once we arrived. However, the jacuzzi on the roof (which you can see in the pictures) is free of charge only in the morning. If you want to use it in the afternoon or in the evening, it costs almost like a room for one night! So that was really disappointing. And it does not seem that the water is that warm...

My husband and I booked 2 nights at the H10 for a romantic week end. Landing from the States we took the AERO bus and walked about 10mn to the hotel. We got there too early to check in, but the staff took our luggage for us, and gave us maps and suggestions on what to do in the meantime. The JAUME I metro station was right across the street, and the metro system is very easy to use. We came back around 2:30pm and our room was ready. Very clean, roomy for Europe standards, and the bathroom was spacious too (full tub). Only gripe about it is the "half" shower door, unfortunately the norm in European hotels (water splatters all over the floor). It was nice to be able to open windows both in room and bathroom. The hotel was nice and quiet at night, although we could hear street noises, but not enough to be disturbed (we were on 5th floor though). Nice terrace on 9th floor rooftop, as well as an inviting Spa & Jacuzzi (for extra cost), with beautiful views of the city. The breakfast buffet was great, one fruit and cereal bar (including 4 or 5 fruit juices), another with cold cuts and cheeses, and a hot buffet with eggs and various sausages. Various croissants and cakes, and plenty of coffee, hot chocolate and tea. We got the Strawberries and Champagne room package which we took advantage of on our second night, and it was wonderful. The staff was absolutely fabulous, friendly and helpful beyond the call of duty. Thank you in particular to Katia who was so lovely to us. We loved our stay, and have a new favorite hotel chain! We will look for H10 hotels first in our future trip plannings. Would definitely stay at this one again if back in BCN!

The location of the H10 Montcada is ideal, being in the middle of the old part of town, if you like to walk around narrow, winding streets steeped in history. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby. The big park (Ciutadella), the beaches, and the Ramblas are all an easy walk away. The room was tiny, but clean, and the bathroom and shower were nice. The staff was very friendly, and let us check in 5 hours ahead of time, as soon as a cleaned room opened up. There was a fair amount of noise, both from outside the hotel and within, but if you happen to be exhausted from travel, you may just sleep through it.

Loved the location of this hotel. Some street noise but we wanted to be close to the action so we expected some. Our room was super clean, the bed was a little stiff for me but my husband liked it. The staff were very friendly and all spoke English. The location is the star of this hotel and it made getting to everywhere very easy and I felt very safe in and around the hotel.

This hotel is an easy 10 minute walk to Port Vell, where you have a nice sandy beach great for swimming. From here you can also access the cable car with a great view of the Port. There are also nice restaurants and market stalls along the waterside. The hotel's rooftop bar is great for a nightcap with fantastic views of the city lights. Staff were also very helpful. Would recommend.

Very convenient hotel, small rooms but you have everything you need, good breakfast, very good service and excellent location.

H10 was a great hotel. Perfect location in gothic quarter...close stroll to Las Ramblas. Also close to the Picasso Museum and the beach. Easy access to the Metro red line L1 and L4 so it makes it easy to take the metro to Sagrada Familia. Would stay here again for sure.

We were greeted with a welcoming glass of champagne and sent to our delightful corner room with ample light and a view of the city. Unfortunately, the airline had lost our luggage on our flight in, and the desk clerk was exceptionally helpful in placing calls to the airline and working toward the return of the luggage. We enjoyed the rooftop lounge and found the location convenient to the many sights of the Gothic section of town.

arrived late at night with my small children. They charge me for another room since i brought my kids. it was frustrating since it was out of my budget and i don't have enough time to look for another hotel.I was just asking to accomodate us just for that night and give me a chance the next day to find another room but the front desk don't care. I end up just giving up the night stayed since i cannot cancel my 4 nights. And everytime you go inside the hotel they are looing at you making sure there is only 2 people going inside the room as if you committed a crime. Rediculous!

Clean hotel, nice roof top terrace, easy parking accommodations. great location for all that Barcelona has to offer. down side, no pool, lack of double beds and some rooms are small, which is normal for europe.

I highly recommend this place if you're going to be in Barcelona. The location is fantastic. Close to shopping and great restaurants. Lots to see nearby, eg Picasso Museum & las ramblas. Plus it's right by the metro so it's easy to get around. The rooftop patio has a great view of the city too. Amazing value. The rooms are small, but typical for European rooms.

Stayed in this hotel in Mid August with my partner. Hotel is excellent and very close to Las Ramblas, airport bus and the beach and port. We were upgraded to a superior room on arrival as I joined the H10 club. It was a lovely surprise. Even though the rooms are small, they have everything and are very clean! This hotel is a real charm. The staff are very helpful. You can enjoy a class of Cava when checking in! A cocktail on the terrace bar is a must! Will definitely be back again.

Bathroom in our room flooding and had to complain several times before being moved, we were promised a bigger room for the inconveience and in fact the room we were moved to was smaller. Apart from this the staff were very pleasant and the roof garden bar bar staff are exceptionally friendly with amazing views over the city

I would definitely recommend the H10 MontCada as a place to stay in Barcelona...with one warning. There is a subway station across the street. I was on the fourth floor and could hear the subway. It was a soft rumble (kind of like thunder in the distance) but nonetheless, if you are sensitive to this kind of thing then you may want to consider a different hotel or try to get a room on a higher floor. I thought that it might bother me but it didn't. I was a little concerned about street noise since my room was overlooking the street but never heard it. Rooms and windows must be well insulated. I loved the location. Easy access to the subway (which is easy to navigate), easy walk to Las Ramblas and other sights. Felt safe in the area. Plenty of restaurants in the area...couple with nice outdoor seating. Plenty of taxis in the area (even at 4 AM). If you don't see a taxi, ask the front desk to call for one and it will get there shortly thereafter. I don't know if all of the rooms are like this but the one that I had was a wheel-chair accessible one so the bathroom was large with a nice large shower. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water. AC worked well but be aware that it shuts off when you take your room key card out of the holder that controls all of the electric. This seems to be a European energy conservation thing. If you want a nice cool room when you get back at the end of a hot day of being a tourist then leave something in the holder since it can take the room a while to cool down. It doesn't have to be your room key card in the holder; an old subway ticket will work. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Everyone at the front desk was fluent in English. Cleaning staff did a good job of keeping my room cleaned. They were a little stingy with the soap but gladly gave me more when I asked for it. Safe in the room was nice to have. Kept my laptop computer, passport and some money in it. Very few English language channels on TV but I wasn't in B

EXCELLENT HOTEL WITHIN HEART OF CITY, STAFF VERY ATTENTIVE AND EFFICIENT, WONDERFUL ROOFTOP GARDEN

This was the best hotel ever!!!! The hotel was so nice, clean, and updated. The staff was the friendliest staff we have ever encountered. Opt for the breakfast included it is well worth it!! We will be making this our hotel choice always when we go to Barcelona!!

Great location on border of both Gothic Quarter and La Ribera... metro across the street, can walk to beach, and to tons of restaurants. The rooms are small, essentially just a bed, but has everything you need. Very quiet rooms too. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The best part of the hotel is the roof top terrace. Fantastic place to sit down and have some drinks after walking around Barcelona all day.

Nice hotel and location, in the Gothic quarter and not far from the beach. Staff are helpful, room was a bit smaller than I would have liked. Bar was really poor, closed early and not great service. Similarly the restaurant was not very inviting, located underground on the bottom floor. Other than that I would recommend this hotel as a convenient, clean and stylish place for a short stay in Barcelona.

Nice location right across street from metro station. Room is very clean. We were on 2nd floor on balcony overlooking street. Yes, loud with window open, but quiet with window closed. Very satisfied. Did not eat at the hotel.

A great hotel and great value for money. The roof terrace and jacuzzi were exactly as they looked on the photos - idyllic. The breakfast was lovely and the staff very friendly.

The hotel was ideally located in the old town, 5 min.walk form Katalunya and opposite the metro station. Very well kept, room had everything needed. The double room was pretty small. The breakfast was one of the best ever, but the 2 ladies there were cleaning the tables and serving the same time without cleaning hands for 3 hours.

Staff are really friendly and have a great attitude all day long Hotel is clean and tidy Rooms are on the small side, and I would've appreciated a bath in the bathroom, but it's perfectly adequate for a short stay Breakfast is a bit steep - approx. EUR15 per person, so either get it included in your room fare or pop down on Via Laeitana in the little churro shop and get the best churros con chocolate with some pocket change Born and gothic quarter are just a few minutes away and are some of the nicest areas for bars, restaurants, shopping and ice cream

This hotel is across the street from a Metro station and right in the middle of everything in the historic district. Great to walk or metro to everywhere you'd want to go. Bed are very, very firm. Otherwise Perfect.
