Nice older hotel. Far away from the action. Very few amenities.

The hotel offers adequate facilities, but not spectacular, and not worth the cost. The personnel is cold, inefficient, and at times rude. One of the most annoying aspects is that guests are made to pay for any non-basic service, pool towels, pool lounge chair, parking (even a 5 minute drop off). I would not recommend this hotel to others.

Fantastic location. Quiet and calm. Nice neighborhood. Staff very helpful. We were upgraged to our surprise. We will return for sure.

The stay was wonderful.The restaurant in the hotel was excellent on every level.service through-out was excellent.Would return without hesitation.

I had Front desk to me calling me at 9:45 PM to tell me that the TV in my room is to loud and my neighbors couldn’t sleep. I can assure that the TV was not loud. This is unacceptable.

Wonderful hotel, the surrounding area was beautiful and the walk to the beach very accessable... Would stay their again.

The room we booked through Hotels.com was terrible. I was told the online room was deeply discounted and therefore the only type of room offered at that rate. After complaining to the manager, we moved to another room but only the following day at an additional cost of $30 per night, otherwise we had to stay where we were. In the new room we had to call housekeeping to spray the bathroom for ants! In addition to that, this was the only hotel I have ever stayed at that charged you $5 per day, per lounge chair around the pool area. They requested that my two children ages 2 and 6, not make noise in the pool area due to the echoing of sound off the adjacent buildings. Obviously the Sea View Bal Harbor resort is NOT children friendly! I will NEVER stay there again nor will I recommend it to any family or friends. Very disappointing experience!

Very nice hotel the sea view is great and the hotel are very close to the beach. The pool is good too, so I recommend the hotel.

Room was extremely large and we were upgraded to a full ocean view instead of partial ocean view. Room was very clean and tastefully decorated. My only two complaints are the bathroom was very small with only one pedistal sink. Not enough room to set your necessities or clothing. Also, the air conditioning unit need to be upgraded. It was very small for a room that large and didn't seem to keep up with the intense heat of Miami.

staff was very accomodating and happy to help. walking distance to shopping and all had a gr8 time

Nice hotel. Have stayed here before for business. It's a clean hotel and has a classic look to it but could be renovated. Service is good.

Hotel is good, too many hidden costs. they are not upfront about their policies.

I have been staying at this hotel for the past five to six years during the Columbus Day Holiday weekend. This was the first time I had ever stayed in a room with a cramped stand up shower (no bathtub). Also, I had my neighbors in the room next to me calling me at 2:00 AM to tell me to take of the TV in my room because they couldn’t sleep. I can assure that the TV was not loud. This is unacceptable.

But don't expect to negotiate any upgrades. Even in this economy, they were sticklers on the details. With only 33 rooms (of 150+) occupied, I couldn't get any upgrade. And they nickle and dime you to death. The only adder was continental brkfast, which was nothing special. Want to lounge by the pool? You will pay $10 for 2 for just half a day. I paid $18/day for parking, but later heard that others didn't mention they had a car and parked for free (the lot was never more than 20% full). Ice machine did not work. Expect to tip someone to fetch a bucket of ice. Hit or miss on the staff; some super nice and others pretty cold. Location is awesome; walk to Bal Harbor Mall, and centrally located to other places. Room was very nice.

This is a great hotel siutated on North Miami beach in Bal Harbour. South Beach is appoximately 20 minutes in a cab which will cost you about $25. The hotel is very well maintained with lovely funiture in the communal areas. The room we had was spacious with a large bathroom (no bath) and a great view over Bal Harbour (we were on the 11th floor!) The pool area was great with direct access to the beach. The only problem was the charges made for the pool loungers. You had to rent a cushion and towel if you wanted to use the pool lougers and they charged $10 per person which is just ridiculous - a 10 day stay for you and your partner would run up a bill over $200!! - car parking wasnt cheap either - valet parking only at $18 per day. Finally the pool side bar charged us $9 for two cans of sprite! so buy your own drinks from the local shop! (the room we had which was a standard room had a fridge). A great hotel and I will return but just be mindful of the hidden extras you will end up paying if your not careful!

APESAR DE MUITO BEM LOCALIZADO, O HOTEL É BEM ANTIGO E AS CAMAS SÃO PEQUENAS.

El hotel supera la relación precio-calidad. Muy bien ubicado Comodísimo Volvería sin dudarlo!

Si bien es un muy lindo hotel, hay detalles como por ejemplo es el único que he utilizado alrededor del mundo donde te cobran las sombrillas en la piscina, estoy de acuerdo en abonarlas en la playa pero no tenés un lugar para estar en la piscina si no pagas por las reposeras(arm chair) y las sombrilas punto bastante negativo para un hotel de estas características

Creo que deberian cambiar la maquina tostadora,aparte de ser una reliquia,demora mucho tiempo en tostar.

Das Hotel ist echt in Ordnung. Leider liegt es etwas nördlich und man braucht zum South Beach, wo alles Bars / Restaurants sind etwas 45 min mit dem Bus.

good points: Big, recently renoved and clean room. Pool (just until 5pm) and beach. bad points: Staff unprofessional, aproximative (they was not able to give any indication at the desk or concierge) and somehow unpolite. Room service horrible, they wasn't able to bring us a turkey sandwich becuse was only in the menu of the pool bar and not of the restaurant, even better, they could but with an Extra cost. A lot of thing in this hotel have (high) extra cost, from an espresso at breackfast fo a chair on the beach. Situation, we went for few days for relax, so I didn't really care, but south beach is quite far away (25 USD by taxi). In sinthesis is a good hotel for relax, room big and clean, homecleaning and bar pool staff friendly, but the price may trick you, consider 20 USD per person for the continental breackfast buffet (whitch by the way it's quite poor) 10 usd for each chair on the beac/pool etc etc. The most I missed was the feeling "We are happy to have you here" that you'd like when you are on hollyday.

Localização boa, quarto grande e confortável mesmo sendo instalações antigas, assim cm todo o hotel... PROBLEMA 1: varanda do quarto compartilhada com mais outros dois quartos.. Ou seja, nada de privacidade na varanda e pouco dentro do quarto a nao ser que voce deixe sempre fechada todas as cortinas... PROBLEMA 2: quando vc escolhe um hotel desse nível esperamos um ótimo atendimento, certo? Pois entao escolha outro hotel ninguém para ajudar a carregar as malas no check-In e nem no check-out...café da manha muito fraco.. Fraquíssimo..

Estuvimos muy bien; la ubicación es buena para aprovechar la playa. Si tienes ganas de conocer mas lugares es mejor quedarse en un hotel mas céntrico. Si no tienes problema con la distancia, mi opión es que Fort Lauderdale tiene mejor playa y una vida alrededor mas interesante.

Gostei muito da minha última estada nesse hotel. Que estou indo amanhã novamente. Estarei hospedada no mesmo hotel

Es un hotel viejo, refaccionado a nuevo. Todo funciona, el cobro de las instalaciones de la pileta me parece excesivo, y la gente que la atiende es poco simpatica. El resto muy bueno

Das Hotel liegt an einem ruhigen Strand in einer ruhigen Gegend. Die Zimmer haben eine gute Ausstattung. Der Empfang war relativ ernüchternd aber ansonsten haben sich alle Mühe gegeben. Was stört sind die vielen extra Kosten fürs Fitness oder für die Liegestühle am Pool und am Strand oder fürs Parking. Das Frühstücksbuffet war nicht sehr abwechslungsreich aber für ein paar Tage geht's. Insgesamt würde ich das Hotel ruhe suchenden Gästen und Familien mit Kindern zwischen 6-12 Jahren empfehlen.

Hace varios años que elijo este Hotel y lo volveria hacer nuevamente , solo les sugeriria que por el precio de la estadia adjunten el desayuno , estaria bueno y atraeria a mas gente

Es increible que un hotel de esta categoria no tenga servicio a la habitacion durante las 24 horas, es solamente hasta las 22horas, es decir que por ejemplo si un pasajero llega al hotel a las 23 no tiene posibilidades de solicitar algun alimento o bebida ni en la habitacion ni en el bar que esta abierto hasta las 22 horas.. Para colmo el frigobar esta vacio. A ello hay que sumarle que en los alrededores del hotel tampoco hay ningun lugar al que recurrir

Tuvimos con mi esposa la oportunidad de disfrutar una semana en Miami en las instalaciones de este hotel. A pesar de ser un hotel de vieja data, su ubicacion (frente a Bal Harbour Shops) con una playa excelente, nos proporciono un descanso y una tranquilidad impresionantes. Me parecio el servicios de parking costoso, pero bueno y seguro. Lo recomedamos sin reparo para aquellos que quieran pasar un tiempo tranquilo .

A very nice, clean hotel! The only negative thing was that apparently smoking is allowed in the corridors and so the corridors smelled really bad. Luckily the smell didn't come into the room. The towels were changed twice (!) a day, which I think is a bit too much (especially when looking at it in an environmentally friendly way), even if the fact that housekeeping checked the room twice a day is a nice idea.
