Hotel Metamorphis - براغ

Quiet courtyard location in Old Town just steps from the square and Tyn Church. Very spacious room (triple). Ample breakfast with wide selection in the cellar of the Italian Restaurant. Many tourist restaurants nearby but try Apropos a short walk away for a real Czech experience. You'd better be a carnivore! You can walk to everything.

We very much appreciated the service desk staffer who carried our luggage up and down 80 steps to our room. He was quite a hard worker and seemed to be always on duty. No wonder he was so thin!. We enjoyed the breakfast that came with the room stay. The location to the sights of Prague couldn't be better.

Stayed here for a family holiday vacation. I booked 2 rooms for 10 days each. Both rooms were very spacious with a living area separate from the sleeping quarters which was important since we were there for 10 days over the Christmas and New Year's holidays! The location is ideal--central to all attractions. We could walk anywhere we wanted to go within minutes...we even walked to the Prague Castle toured it and back!!! We opted for the breakfast which is well worth it served at the restaurant next door every morning. Internet access was a bit sketchy. It worked in our rooms but you had to find the right spot and stay there; otherwise, we could go to the lobby with our iPad or phones and pick up a signal. I would stay here again in a heartbeat--highly recommend this hotel!!!

A great location! Near all the Old Town Square sights; also close to public transportation to get to all the museums away from the Old Town. Very good breakfast buffet and Italian restaurant.

Overall good hotel.

The location is fantastic and one minute away from the old town square. The room is elegant, beautiful. The bathroom is clean and modern. The Internet connection works very well. The free breakfast is just phenomenal. I have been there three times and I will always go back. It is my choice for Prague.

The hotel was nice, charming, in a beautiful historic building and in a perfect location for must see activities. Rooms were clean and spacious. The reception hosts were not very helpful or friendly. Language barrier did not appear to be an issue as they spoke good english.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Metamorphis. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable and even had some British channels on TV. Reception staff were very helpful. Location was superb - about 100m from Old Town Square and in the historic Umgelt area, but still quiet and undisturbed by street noise at night. Breakfast was in the 13th Century gothic cellar of the Restaurant next door - "Eat as much as you can" - and included a good variety of choices, typical of any European hotel catering for travellers from a wide range of countries. Great value for money, and we would certainly be happy to go back and to recommend to our friends.

Very convenient location and quiet. Only steps away from Old Town Square which is very lively. It was great having the breakfast included and not worrying about where to eat every morning. The breakfast was plentiful with a good variety of foods and coffee. They have set fees for taxi service to and from the train and/or airport. I highly recommend it! I e-mailed the hotel and they picked us up at the train station when we arrived.

The Metamorphosis is an older hotel that is located in an old Prague square just behind the Tyn church and Old Town Square. It was more of an apartment (without kitchen) than a hotel, and was in every way perfect for what we were seeking. Which was a quiet and comfortable place to return to after wandering Prague for hours at a time. We had a huge beedroom, an ante-room and a bathroom, in addition to a small entry vestibule. It would have been nice if the room had a desk (there was plenty of room), but the coffee table in front of the couch served well enough. If we ever get a chance to return to Prague, the Metamorphosis will be where I try to book.

I had two different rooms and thought they were both charming. The breakfast was lovely, and the staff, helpful. The location is really fantastic and near some great restaurants. There are however, some very loud noisy bars nearby and on the weekends the drunken tourists are challenging. There are double paned windows though so one can block it out.

Very accommodating. Comfortable and clean rooms at a good price. Front desk staff was very good. There is a small bar scene nearby, so it may require windows closed at night to manage the street noise.

Stairs to get to the rooms, very noisy with the late night drunks...otherwise great location, good service, clean and comfortable rooms...fair price, very good breakfast.

It truely was one of the best places I have stayed; clean with comfortable furnishings. Security was outstanding. Staff very pleasant and very helpful.

This was a great hotel that is conveniently located about 2 minutes walk to the old town square. There is a great breakfast and wifi included in the price of the hotel. The rooms were typical, but clean and comfortable.

After coming from Rome, we walked into our room at Hotel Metamorphis and were more than happy. A very spacious beautifully decorated room. A one minute walk to Old Town Square, an area you could never tire of. The hotel's central location allows you to walk everywhere including The Prague Castle. If I return to Prague I would definitely stay at The Metamorphis. I did feel changed and for the better.

All good with the stay including a great breakfast.

My wife and I just spent four wonderful days at the Metamorphis Hotel and it was everything we had hoped for...and more! The hotel is literally minutes away from Old Town square, but located in a quiet and lovely courtyard. The staff were all excellent and went out of their way to help us with concert tickets, directions, eating suggestions and all of the various things that come up from guests like us. The room was exceptional, including a bathroom with walk-in shower and separate spa tub. We will recommend it to all of our retired friends without hesitation!!

Excellent hotel location and rooms but poor breakfast selection. Great location and ideal for old town square with easy access to all public transport. Will definetly book this hotel again on next visit.

This hotel was very comfortable and had all the important amenities.It is located in a charming little square and very convenient to Old Town Square and shopping. The room was clean and bright and breakfast was very filling. There is a good bit of street noise during the evening/night.

Great location but most importantly, the hotel isn't like all the other 4 star hotels. Each room is unique with shape, size, and items.

Great hotel, especially for the price. The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. It was only a three or four minute walk to the Old Town Square and the staff were very helpful. I will be happy to stay here again.

The hotel is gorgeous. Lovely rooms (we had a suite) and the bathroom was to die for. Pretty sure a NYC hotel room would fit in this bathroom. Tile shower, heated towels, two toilets (smile). Great views of old town. Now ... The bad part. I don't know if this is just normal in Prague or not, but the front desk was LESS than helpful. Basically the only thing they did for us was collect out key every time we left. The thing that bothered me the most was when we arrived at midnight and the guy says "the good news is that we habe you Ina lovely room but the bad news is that it's on the top (fourth) floor and we have no lift.". He never even bothered to OFFER to help us carry our two 50lb bags upstairs. In addition, we asked him for recommedations for classical music concerts (because that's what the literature in the room told us to do - it said they'd be happy to help!). The guy responds with "no idea. I hate classic music." um ... Ok. We weren't inviting you to come with us. In summary .... If you don't mind figuring stuff out on your own and having a mediocre - at best - front desk, this is a lovely place to stay.

This hotel is directly behind Old Town Square. From here you can walk to anything you want to see in Prague. Plus its near lots of cafes and restaurants. The hotel staff is very helpful and will arrange service to and from the airport. Breakfast is included in the price which is very reasonable.

The best part of this hotel is that it is within a few minutes walk of Old Town Square and not far from Charles Bridge either! Very convenient for sightseeing.

Everything about this stay was spectacular! The location is perfect--right in the middle of things and yet providing a sanctuary from the frenzy. The staff was not only attentive and professional, but also so helpful, charming, friendly. This is the 5th time we've stayed at this hotel, and it now feels like home, even in the middle of Prague's busy tourist area. We would never stay anyhere else in Prague!

We had an amazing stay here in the Metamorphis Hotel. The room was large and we looked out on to a lovely courtyard. The staff were friendly and the amenities in the room were very good. The hotel is in the old town and close to nearly everything, so walking isn't a problem. The only little negative was that the coffee wasn't very good at breakfast as it was machine coffee. Breakfast was very good and plentiful with a good choice. Overall, a very good hotel and if we come back to Prague we would definately stay here again.

Very convenient for the Old Town. Confortable stay. Had one night when the music from a nearby bar was too loud and went on until the early hours of the morning. Hotel did offer to move us to a quieter room.

Hotel is of good standard, with superb location just a stone throw away from the Old Town Square. Everything you need within walking distance. Charles Bridge, Prague Castle and shopping at Palladium. Great service, and decent breakfast!

We had such a great time at this Hotel. From the moment we walked in, to the moment we checked out, it was a great experience. The staff was friendly and super helpful, the room was quaint and well kept with lots of space. (shower was a bit odd, with no shower curtain, but a great tub. SO maybe a draw). Breakfast was great and the location couldn't be beat. Literally 200 meters from the old square and a 10 min walk to the Charles bridge. Would happily come back!

Fabulous hotel. Location in the centre of the old town. Views from window breathtaking. Romantic venue. Rooms interesting and tastefully decorated. Imagine they're all quite distinct. The bathroom was enormous and the bed so comfy. It was Christmas time too so was extra special. Staff very helpful rememered our names. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Excellent breakfast in a very atmospheric cellar type breakfast room. Wouldn't think of staying anywhere else on our next visit to Prague. Highly recommended.

This hotel is in an excellent location. The Old Town Square is just around the corner. The staff were excellent, very helpful. The room was clean and very functional. Only negative is perhaps upgrading the television to a flat screen, plus add more English speaking channels, otherwise an excellent hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Metamorphis and would be happy to return.

An excellent,affordable hotel in the heart of Prague

excellent location but rooms are really having their best days over lamps broken, couch broken, very weak wifi signal in the rooms i have stayed in. there's another metamorphosis hotel called "metamorphosis excellent". watch out as they both have different standards.

Great location, within walking distance of all major sites. Rooms are large and well maintained.

Our room -- top floor with centuries old wooden beams exposed -- was perfect for an extended stay in Prague. We had a comfortable sitting area, a spacious desk for writing, lots of drawers, and a nice wardrobe. The room was light and clean, well heated for the very cool mornings of October. We were within easy walking distance of all the sights of Prague. The hotel staff were exceptionally considerate, even monitoring the the airline's search for my lost luggage. Plus, my wife and I agree the room was very romantic!

Highly recommended. Great breakfast especially if you like your scrambled eggs and bacon! Right in the middle of Old Town so you can have lovely strolls before retiring for the night. Have kettle but bring your own coffee. Ate in the hotel restaurant each night and found the food very good and reasonably priced.

Close to the main square and perfect location to visit Prague. I will stay there again if I have another chance and I will recommend to my friends. However I thought some of the hotel staff were unfriendly and unkind.

Was enchanted with the room. One of the most charming rooms I have ever stayed in my life. Comfortable and had an elevator for such an old hotel as I have difficulty walking. On the other hand was situated over two or three bars below that were actively going until 5am. Breakfast room was wonderful but was situated two stories below in the cellar and the stairs were hard for me to navigate and so I didn't partake in the breakfast the second day. Recommend that they have a table in the lobby. Loved the location and stay.
