Really bad breakfast

Family with one child (6yrs) we stayed one night, the room was excellent and so is the location with walking distance to everything worth seeing and doing in Gothenburg. The hotel had a special offer of late check-out until 1800 on sundays and breakfast until 1200 which was very appreciated.

The room was nice and spacious and in an awesome location. The breakfast was very busy, but good. The only downside was the carpet. It was unbelievably dirty and stained. For a Junior suite with a premium price, the carpet should be more presentable.

We stayed in this hotel towards the end of August 2011. I was in Gothenburg for work, my wife joined me to get away from hers. The hotel is superbly located on the main thoroughfare of Gothenburg. In addition, the hotel boasts of a quietly competent staff (with an unusual sense of humour), comfortable and well-equipped rooms, and a hearty breakfast buffet. I would also recommend the pub attached to the hotel - The Bishop's Arms - for its reasonable prices and fine woodwork. The hotel staff changed our room when we expressed dissatisfaction with the beds and gave us a really nice room with a king sized bed and a balcony. The only drawback we could see was that temperature control was a problem in our first room. Will come back!

For me it had everything required apart, possibly, from the breakfast. The hotel was decorated to a high standard, very well-located, and lively (if you like it lively) with additional or adjoining bar/food amenities, which I believe were also part of the hotel in addition to the hotel bar itself . The room was well-appointed, comfortable, clean, and had an excellent shower.The buffet breakfast facilities were perhaps a little too lively or busy with limited seating areas, and the hot food was somewhat cold.

We are a family of 4 with two children aged 10 and 12. This was a nice hotel, well maintained, comfortable and clean with good facilities and in a nice neighborhood in Gothenburg. We were given one room with two rollaway beds and a double bed but the children said the cots were comfortable. There was a small fridge and kettle in our room. This is a fairly nice neighborhood near the universeum, museums, a large COOP grocery store half a block away and stores and restaurants nearby. The breakfast buffet was huge and lovely and there was plenty of food available that was lactose free, nut free and gluten free for those with special dietary needs. My one complaint about this hotel would be that the pool is not available to children (minimum age 16) and it is even misleading to say that there is a pool, as it is more of a wellness centre spa that you have to pay for to use.

Have just returned from a 3 day stay with my husband and 2 daughters. Our room was extremely spacious and clean. The hotel is right opposite a tram stop allowing you to travel to all the local attractions, however there are a lot of restaurants and shops all within walking distance. The buffet breakfast served each morning was fantastic. Would definitely recommend the Elite Park Avenue.

A fine hotel conveniently situated close to many of the attractions in Gothenburg (Museum of Fine Arts, Liesberg Park, Science Museum etc) and within easy walking distance of Botanical Gardens and the Shopping centre. The airport bus stops right outside the hotel. Our room was very comfortable, there was an excellent breakfast, with a wide range to suit all needs, and we found the staff very helpful in dealing with questions and enquiries we made. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for any who want a good hotel conveniently situated. Although large, it never seemed crowded, and the area in which it was situated was surprisingly quiet for such a central location.

Right in the middle of the city. Walking distance to everything. Staff was exceptional. Very helpful. Terrific Breakfast buffet which is part of room rate Rooms clean and functional. Free internet would stay here everytime

Fantastic location, super friendly employees, awesome location. I'll definitely return!

The Elite Park Avenue hotel was the hotel for the conference I attended. The entire hotel experience was great. The room was fresh and clean. Comfortable bed and decent bathroom. Fabulous buffet breakfast as well. The conference facility was top notch as well. Conference services seemed to be on top the organizers needs along with the attendees. I would book a conference here. Additionally, the hotel is connected to a spa which I used. I was able to book a massage the same day. It was perfect after a long conference day. Thanks for the fine service received!

Delicious breakfast. Nice gal at the front desk was so busy but still found time to reserve a rental car for us. Near good restaurants.

Very comfortable and clean hotel room. Hotel itself is quite "corporate" and bit soulless but I had very good service.

I stayed here with some friends. The hotel was in a really good location, very convenient for city centre (and the airport bus from Landvetter stops directly outside). The room was appropriate, bathroom had an excellent over-bath shower and the bed was so comfortable you would not want to get out of it! The only downside was that we were not told about the maintenance work in the hotel which involved drilling in the mornings for the first two days of our stay; not conducive to the work we needed to do. This could not be helped (all hotels have to do maintenance) but we should have been advised on check-in that this would be the case. Aside from that, an excellent stay - the buffet breakfast was also fantastic.

Everything works at Elite Park Avenue. The only complaint I have is that the desk chair is too low, which makes working at the desk in the room a bit uncomfortable. Staff is helpful, breakfast is ok, Rooms are just fine. The restaurant has great food, two sorts of oysters. What you need.

It is dab in the middle of the city, room was spacious and very comfortable, breakfast was alright. Only bad thing I can say about the room is the awkward position of the TV; which is not much actually. I am quite happy with the service I got from Elite hotels both in Stockholm and Gothenburg

I cannot praise this hotel enough. Stayed here for three nights in July. Great staff, great room, unbelievable selection of food for breakfast and a bar that attracts guests and locals alike and is absolutely buzzing at the weekend (not recommended for people who like a quiet drink). One fault, the elevators seem to have a mind of there own and during busy times, you could be taken on a surreal journey from floor to floor meeting similiarly bewildered guests wondering will they ever see their loved ones,or the lobby for that matter, ever again. Otherwise I would highly recommend this hotel.

Comfortable, seamless service. Quite rooms

Vi var meget fornøyd med oppholdet. Vi fikk tilbud om å oppgradere rommet til et familierom, det passet bedre.

Oppholdet var bra, men svømmebassenget egnet seg ikke for barnefamilier. Det var lite og mer et plaskebasseng enn et svømmebasseng.

Bra

Vi beställde extra stort rum eftersom vi har två barn. Men extra sängen var inte speciellt bra. Knakade och var inte bekväm att sova i. SVTB saknade vi också bland kanalerna till barnen.

Plus för Elite wellness, avnjöt en riktigt bra massage av en tjej som heter Johanna...Trevlig bar i bottenplan, men ngt förvirrad och ung personal som inte visste vad ett glas rödvin kostade...kanonfin frukostbuffé, MEN det är inte kul att få sina två juiceglas och en full tallrik med mat bortplockad när man går iväg för att hämta morgontidningen...under all kritik!!

Väldigt obekväma sängar med prassliga lakan...

Snyggt rum god frukost! Njöt av en utekväll och shopping dagen därpå och hotellet ligger ju verkligen centralt. Inte dyrare än att åka taxi hem till Kungälv!!

Kom sent og dro tidlig, så jeg det var et helt hotell å overnatte på. skal ha pluss for at det var badekar:)

Hotellet havde e fin belliggenhed og alle faciliteter var tilfredsstillende.Eneste udfordring er parkeringen og prisen herfor, men det er umiddelbart kutyme i Sverige! Kan bestemt anbefales.
