Last minute trip. Literally booked the room on the way to the hotel from our phone. Great rate. Late check in, but the staff was very pleasant an accomodating. Too late for the evening reception, but cookies and milk are a nice touch. Spacious, comfertable room. Not our first stay, but our first in awhile. Will definitely repeat.

we reallly enjoyed or stay! It was a very beautiful hotel and close to many of the cultural sites we were attending. Room service to clean the room was slow and very late in the day around 5:00pm and one day they forgot to clean the room.

The hotel was OK but they put us in a room next to an electricity generator, unfortunately we did not notice the awful noise until we went to bed at 11pm, too late to ask for a change

love this hotel. The room was warm and would not cool down. we got back late to the room so did not call to have someone come look at it.

Loved the hotel! It was like staying at a much higher rated hotel, but without the cost. The breakfast was amazing and the milk and cookies a nice treat. All of the staff were very nice and accommodating. We will definitely stay at Magnolia Hotels in the future.

Overall, a nice experience. The hotel staff is friendly, and it was clean and mostly in good condition. My room, while clean, was a little run down (worn headboard, stained windows, etc) but overall livable issues. The a/c didn't work very well, though, and in fact stayed warm and "tropical" in one of the rooms the whole time. Location isn't really convenient to anything spectacular, but the valet guys were friendly and fast. Not the best place I've stayed, but I would stay again.

Everything I wanted in a hotel. Great breakfast and little perks like free happy hour and late night cookies and milk. Had a conference at the Brown Convention Center that we walked to but will definitely return with my husband for a leisure trip!

We loved our night at Magnolia.. definitely would stay again , the extra perks really made it a special stay. Breakfast was fantastic and the happy hour and cookie bar topped off the night.

We stayed at the Magnolia on our trip to Houston for opening day at Minute Maid Park. The hotel is a short walk to the ballpark. The staff was very pleasant throughout the trip. The bar and breakfast was nice and the price was reasonable. We will definitely stay again.

This room would easily cost 2x the price I paid via hotels.com - anywhere else. Rooftop pool and too hot to handle hottub was nice (turn the temp down sheesh). SERVICE WAS POOR. BREAKFAST WAS FOOD SERVICE QUALITY (EGGS = UNEDIBLE SLOP). ZERO RESPONSE TO ANY SERVICE REQUEST. DESK ATTENDANT MADE A HUGE DEAL about the difference in my FIRST NAME not being perfectly matched by a few letters, despite my having multiple ID's to confirm. RIDICULOUS. GREAT ROOM, NICE ROOFTOP, EXPECT NO SERVICE..

Enjoyed a fantastic romantic weekend. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The bed was super comfortable, the shower was a heavy, wonderful waterfall, and there's a complimentary happy hour AND cookies and milk bar later in the evening. Couldn't get any better.

Beautiful modern hotel. Friendly staff. Comfortable room, beautiful decor. Great value.

We had a wonderful time and will definately return sometime in the near future. It was only 2 blocks from where our function was so we were able to walk...in heels no less! Thanks for an enjoyable stay!!!

True to boutique style hotels, the staff was kind and knowledgable. Walking distance from my destination needs for the weekend. The only real complaint is the fact a screaming new born was flanking my room and sadly the walls were not quite as thick or insulated as I'd have preferred. However, had I not been so exhausted and lazy thry'd easily have moved my room. Lovely stay in a lovely town.

I stayed at this hotel because it was within walking distance of Jones Theater. Excellent service. Truly a 4 star hotel.

Loved every minuet of my stay, worth staying at, and will be going there again. Milk and Cookies were scrumptious, as well as the breakfast. Staff was very friendly. Only bad part was the parking, you may choose valet service or park on your own buy valet is a tad bit expensive and parking on your own is a hassle, you have to walk around the block. Other than that, it was fantastic.

The hotel location was perfect for us. It was located in the heart of downtown and only three blocks from the METROrail which provided us access to many attractions in the museum district. Hotel amenities were great. Complimentary Happy Hour, Milk & Cookies before bed and hot breakfast buffet. Complimentary car service to downtown destinations was available. GREAT valet staff! Front desk staff wasn't very helpful or personable and often times had problems reaching them by phone. Our room was a corner room (King Room) and it was very small. Nice decor, however the window sheers and shower curtain liner were both torn. Minibar concumed entire mini fridge, but staff brought up an additional mini fridge for us to use, but the room was so small there was no place to put it. It ended up sitting between the bed and window and served as an additional night stand. All in all...great location, great hotel, but if you plan to spend much time in your room, get a suite!

The Magnolia Hotel in Houston Texas was a joy to stay at. The staff is so friendly; a free shuttle that will take you anywhere downtown, but you can enjoy a nice walk to just about any place you would want to go. It is in the Theater District, lots of museums and great restaurants. Cocktails from 5:30 to 7:30 and Milk & Cookies form 8-10. Breakfast buffet was very nice. Go, you will love it.

Every employee there is exceptionally nice and helpful. The hotel is beautiful and comfy. Only downfall to me was having to pay an extra fee for overnight parking. I didn't expect that.

I really enjoyed my recent stay at The Magnolia Hotel. The decor was great, the beds were very comfortable and the view from the rooftop was beautiful. Extras included continental breakfast, happy hour and cookies and milk.

Great hotel in downtown Houston. Friendly staff, big beautiful rooms with great views. Tasty food. Free cookies and milk in the 2nd floor lounge in the evening. Breakfast was a lot more than the typical continental breakfast. Roof top pool and hottub. Free shuttle around downtown.

I'm a business traveler in the Oil and Gas Industry. I tried this hotel because of its location and I was looking for something a bit more interesting and different from the standard business hotel. This hotel falls short because the staff is not trained to business level service. If I was there because of a weekend fling downtown or to go to see a rodeo parade, OK who cares. However, when I'm told I can't get laundry done because there is a parade in town and the hot tub isn't hot and I can't get someone to increase the temperature after three requests or I pay extra for high speed internet service up front and then get a line of BS and have to pay for it, I am not very impressed. Also, the eggs were soupy and tasteless. Again for the occassional weekend traveler, OK who cares. For someone who travels around the world frequently, the, poor staff training is obvious.

I liked that a really great breakfast was included in the price. Also, the free happy hour was a nice perk. Parking was a little pricey.

What a unique boutique! Very comfortable room. We enjoyed a snack of empanadas and petit syrah before also tasting the complimentary milk and cookie service. Nice! We found the staff very friendly and willing t help meet our requests. Would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I recently celebrated a belated valentines day at the magnolia hotel. The check in was prompt but be prepared to turn your car over to valet immediately...it is not an option. We checked in within minutes but our spacious king suite that we had reservations for was far from spacious. The complimentary breakfast was bland and we missed late night milk and cookies because there was a wedding there and they had to change the times.

We got there early so they did let us in and after we got checked in they really didn't care on making you happy. They Had no dining like they said in ad because of a wedding. They have Suv to drive you around and never got one and when we did they said you'll have to wait for next Suv because they had to clean up mess? So me and son 5 years old start walking neighborhood was trashy. They have no pool table either like in their ad. It's 25 for valet parking and it took 25 minutes until they pulled our truck up. They did have great breakfast. The pool on roof is small. I wouldn't recomend this to any of my friends or family because customer service was awful and that's the most important.

We only stayed one night but felt like a full vacation! They hotel recommended Mia Bella for dinner, gave us a coupon for a free appetizer, and even drove us over at no cost! The roof top view was to die for and my husband loved the gym!! I enjoyed the soaking tub being 8 months pregnant! The cookie buffer was nothing special but the breakfat buffet was awesome! Beat biscuits and gravy I've ever had at a hotel!

This is probably the BEST hotel I have EVER booked on this site. Awesome service and amenities, you cant beat the price, ANYWHERE close to this hotel. Would stay there again in a MINUTE.

This is a great hotel. I really enjoyed the 5 nights that I stayed there. A lot of extras, as well.
