It was a cluster when we got there. There is a ramp you have to pull into to check in which was full, finally get our room keys after about 10 mins, have to park @ the overflow & walk to our bldg. room key started with a 5 so assumed we were on the 5th floor, but turned out we were on 11th... For check out, we waited @ the reception area with nobody to help until we walked to the main bldg. did not like the customer service @ all. Will not stay here again.

Great hotel - Great location... We stayed in the Surf building.... couldn't see the sunrise, which was a bummer due to it benig too far back with the kid pool with Whales and Dinos between us and the ocean.... The water park cost $3 per person for the day and there is no getting out of the inner tubes in the lazy river and you need to walk all the way around the building to get to a pool that you can actually swim in .. which was a bit odd... for the price it was a great place to stay

I previously submitted a review and was sent an email saying they could not publish it. Why? because i spoke the truth. This hotel is convenient to the beach and gives access to choices to include indoor or outdoor pools and hot tubs, great beach access, downtown access and a small water park. Once again i will not lie to say that the personal services and contacts i had with check-in and other hotel staff was good. In fact it was disturbing, some were rude and others just seem to not care that i waited 4 hours to check into my room before receiving my keys and 1 1/2 hours after getting my key.

Loved the hotel and activities the only thing is check in is a little confusing. You have to check in in a diferent building but other than that great place - will definitely stay there again.

I'd stayed at Sea Mist 21 years ago when my oldest was a baby. Ocean view room was perfect. Tena's breakfast buffet is awesome. Cant feed young adult males for any more reasonable price!

Had an Ocean View room. The cleanliness of the room was great. Checking in was quick and painless. Not a luxury hotel but let's face it, you're not there to stay in the room when you go the beach. The Sea Mist does, however, have the best Lazy River of Myrtle Beach. Overall location is okay. Convenience of Denny's, IHOP, Papa Johns, and a few fast food joints around the corner was nice. Quick drive to other main attractions is convenient as well. Definitely stay here again.

No bad, I Did request a bottom floor room, and that is what we got, a room in the basement in the under ground parking lot! The room was older but had everything we needed our sliding doors opened up the one of the ten outdoor pools, and was also right next to the indoor pool and hot tub that was closed due to repairs, which is expected because they were preparing for the summer season, seamist has a great play area for kids and a fun splash area for them as well, I bet it would be a great place to stay in the summer, it even has a movie theater! It had everything I was looking for, for a great price

The elevactor got stuck twice we could not get to our room.The coffee pot did not work.They was suppose to bring one they never did.The beds shake every time you move.I will never stay there again charge to much for what you get. I thought it was a resort.

It is a much older hotel with some updates. Only one floor had an ice maker so you had to travel for ice. No snack machines...or soda machines. The room looked like the photo. Lots of rules and charges if you took anything.

the hotel was rundown and not very clean. Parking was difficult, especially in the evenings and late at night. The pool looked kind of gross, I chose not to use it. Location was convenient, but overall I would not return there if I had other options.

Rooms need to be updated badly for 100 dollars very small

we had a nice stay at this hotel only complaint was that the beds were too small. The hotel was very convient to amusement and restaurants. very clean.

The stay was ok. It could have been better. One side of the hotel was closed and pets were very loud. One two three oclock in the am is so annoying. Than tyring to sleep when barking dog want stop is very un pleasent. For what I spent on the hotel I thought it would have been a little better than it was. Next time have the hotel complete and things together and ask them if they want to stay by pets or not bc some people may be allergic to pets. No I would not stay at that hotel again.

Sea mist was a horrible pick. Our bed had sand in it. You can hear water from the bathroom running constantly throughout the night. The front desk was unfriendly and rude. Location was on the less desirable side of myrtle beach. The elevator and stairwell were dirty and run down. Will not be coming back to Sea Mist. Do not recommend this hotel!

Horrible place to stay , save your money and stay somewhere else. ..end of story....

I was expecting to be very underwhelmed based on previous reviews, but instead found a clean room, furniture in decent shape and our hotel floor (flr 10) pretty clean as well (the driftwood) My family only stayed 1 night, so we didnt cook, etc.....the appliances were a little old but seemed to work well-For the $, it's a good deal for a basic family trip if you're not going to stay indoors much-If I were staying for a wk or more vacation, I would probably pick a nicer hotel w/better amenities and atmosphere-the pool for our bldg was small, crowded and looked dirty (we went by there in the late evening, it is probably better to go in early am) A nice surprise was the hotel theatre that played The Hobbit-it was clean, comfortable and my boys enjoyed themselves-Some of the bldgs had rooms that you enter from outside, which looked like a motel or the projects?-From what I saw the driftwood and tides bldgs were the nicer bldgs-Lastly, the staff at check in were very professional and accommodating-Overall, if you are picky, and cant forgive some things, then pick another hotel-If you are staying for 1-2 nights and can tolerate a little noise, family or tournament atmosphere and not the most up to date decor, then this hotel will suit you fine- Enjoy!

First room was old and smelled like mold and small. We complained and guess services made things better by moving us to another room that was a lot nicer and update. We enjoyed our stay once we got into the new room. The free movie on Saturday night was also a bonus!! I could stay at the Draftwood rooms again!!

I was an avarage hotel. As this days North Beach has more options with good quality. I would not prefer to stay again as their pooll was in very bad condition and hotel was not clean. Old furniture, pool, room look, facility and staff all are very old. They need to do remodeling.

Needs cleaning BAD.

Dirty, old, run-down hotel. Don't ever stay here. Needs to be demolished and built new. Pool costs $3 per day to use! Nothing but partying teenagers stay here. Check in a block from hotel and parking was two blocks from hotel. Gross hallways, elevator and room. Only thing good was the view, away from the hotel. Gave us a basement room overlooking a pool that didn't work, our door was off of the underground parking lot. Said it was an "ocean view" room, which we paid for. They moved us, but if it hadn't been pre-paid, I would have checked out!!!!

It was awesome. The family had a blast.

First..the staff were very curtious and eager to please, however I was extremely dissapointed in this hotel. The room had a t.v that should have been thrown off the 7th floor. The bathroom vent was filthy, no water pressure, thin walls and doors, beds uncomfortable. The indoor pool was down for maintenance which left only one available two buildings away. The layout of Sea Mist is odd. Multiple buildings and facilites cover a two to three block span. The waterpark on the premises will charge you 3$ per person. The surrounding area felt like I was in the center of a city.Overall very substandard, I will not recommend nor stay here again.

Do not stay in the SURF building! Book a room in the Driftwood Unit, if you can stand the teens. Extremely old structure and unkept .

The stay was ok. The front desk needs to pay more attention to the guests in there rooms Ans it could have been cleaner but other that it was great.

It was Ana amazing time although I was disappointed to see old food left behind in a pan that was placed back in the cabinets! Overall the staff was very friendly and had enough things to do when weather wasn't always up to par. If definitely be back

Room was clean but was not ocean front as stated. Indoor pool and hot tub was closed and we were not told. Location is good being right in the middle of everything. The blankets and sheets on the bed had small holes in them. Overall, not too bad but if I would have known all this I would have chosen a different more updated hotel.

Old Room,seemed like extended outside the hallway,old appliances but good ocean view.

I think the hotel and the staff were amazing! we started off at the Polynesian where i was discusted. It was filthy and smelled. Hotels.com immediately helped my get into the Sea Mist which was an amazing stay.

Beds were horrible but other than that it was ok place to stay! It is miles from the action of myrtle beach tho

I had some problems because they didn't have my room ready when I arrived. I had to wait for about 30 minutes until it was ready also they didn't give me any good information or directions about where my room was located and I had to walk back in forth in the rain to find my room with all three of my kids.

Very happy with the location and friendly staff. The floor in our room could have used a good cleaning. Overall very glad we choose the Sea Mist Resort.

def wont b going back 2 this place

We definitely enjoyed a great day at the beach. The hotel could have been a little cleaner though.

Good amenities,wish the motel would have been on the boardwalk was a few blocks down.ground floor ocean front room but couldn't see the ocean for the wall and grass had to walk out on patio to view it.Hotel staff friendly our tile floor looked ok but was very dirty would leave your socks black.

The room were dated I didnot enjoy my stay took my grandson for spring break vacation could not connect their video console to tv because it was so outdated the in door pool was not open. I would not recommend this resort to family and friends. Upon arrival check in had to wait for room to be ready we went to eat and came 2hours later room still was not ready.

This was bye far the WORST AND GROSSEST hotel I EVER been too. There was nothing great about it.
