We were rather disappointed with the Loews in New Orleans. To start with, Hotels.com had assured us early check-in and when we got there - not as early as expected - we were told that the wait might be up to 4 hours. They had already unloaded and taken our car and we were left standing there with two cats in carriers. If a hotel has promised early check-in and they can't make good on their promise, they should have at least made some restitution, but the hotel clerk was condescending and gave the impression that she did not care one bit about our predicament. Despite the hotel's loud decor, the room was comfortable. They nickeled and dimed us at every turn - parking, Internet, and you can even purchase water "at a nominal fee" if you use the work-out area. The one redeeming factor about this hotel was the bell staff. We tipped them well.

I was greeted with an upgrade to a suite. The room was huge with a great view of the river. I used the exercise room and it had great equipment. The only bad thing I had to leave. It is close to the convention center, the casino and the french quater.

Good location

Everyone there were as nice as they could be, will return.

The pillows. They were small and floppy. This may seems like a small thing but a few nights of poor sleep can be frustrating and detract from a otherwise great vacation. If you need that support bring your own. If not, everything else was terrific.

Excellent hotel experience with awesome views of the Mississippi River and downtown area. The delux room was very spacious and well worth the cost, which was very comparable to other upscale hotels in the area. A close walk to the French Quarter.

I found myself in New Orleans for a few days without any preparation. I utilized the concierge service for all of my research and they were able to make it a memorable experience. They pointed me to the best music and food in town. I am a female traveling solo so they told me the parts of town to avoid at night and they even gave me a pleasant 6mile run route through the garden district. They lent me a hotel umbrella as I was leaving for the day in the rain. Their attention to customer satisfaction was certainly a priority among all of the employees. I very much enjoyed the city and the hotel was a very pleasant place to stay to rest my head at night. I would recommend choosing the Loews New Orleans on your next visit to New Orleans.

Beautiful property, great restaurant, spa, and service levels of the front desk, concierge, bellman, valet genuine southern hospitality! Great location, easy to get around.

this is a great hotel first class all the way. close to everything. cant wait to go back

Great hotel but, there is always a but. The walls are way to thin. I could here everyone's conversations on all sides. It sounded if they were in the same room.

Great location - within easy walking distance to the French Quarter, 3 streetcar lines, Aquarium, Insectarium, casino and the river. Good for kids - concierge organized a babysitter for us so we could enjoy some of the later night sights and sounds New Orleans has to offer without dragging 2 tired children along. Great for pets - dog bowls are provided in the room and we saw both dogs and cats staying there. There is a space right outside the hotel with a small amount of grass and trees popular with doggy guests. Room service included options for both dogs and cats - a first in any hotel that I've stayed at! I think they put all dog owners on the 8th floor. Rooms seemed to have good sound proofing so we weren't awoken by any hounds howling. There is a piano bar in the lobby which had a pianist in the early evening. There is also a cocktail bar. We didn't get to try the restaurant but it seemed popular. Valet parking is a flat daily rate and seems to be standard for that part of New Orleans. Their garage in onsite, so there are no lengthy waits for your car. We stayed 3 days / 2 nights and during that time didn't use our car once as everything we wanted was in easy walking distance. When we return to New Orleans we will definitely be staying at this hotel again!

Really enjoyed my stay here..alet was fine except for I am missing one item out of my car. I'm just saying this because i know I previously had it during my three day/2 night stay. I still would recommend the hotel but not valet.

We stayed at Loew`s during our long Easter weekend in NOLA, and haven`t regretted for a second. Location is perfect, just 5 minutes walk to the French quarter, and with ample restaurants and galleries just beside. The staff were amazing - very friendly and helpful. The restaurant hosts were somewhat strict with us and some other guests on the Easter Sunday, apparently they would prefer that we have booked our table for brunch, but hey - we were staying at the hotel, no one told us we couldn`t just come and have our breakfast without reservations . Anyway, we loved our room and our stay, will definitely come back if we have a chance.

Great hotel. Short walk to the Quarter; across street from casino; wonderful bar (didn't eat at the restaurant or use room service). Have stayed before and will stay again. Highly recommended. Very nice gym and lap pool with hot tub & dry sauna. Bar fridge wasn't working and staff brought a new fridge right away.

Great hotel in a great location with a great staff. The only problem was that the shower was terrible. The water trickled out so slowly that it was tough to rinse. Worst shower in hotel history. Also, either put a vending machine on each floor or give a complementary water in each room. Asking $6 for the only water available is a bit much.

This was our first stay at Loews Hotel. Our visit was from 4/4-4/7/12. I would definitely stay here again. The bed was very comfortable. The floor was quiet, meaning I never heard any of my neighbors. At times I thought we were the only ones on the floor. It's location is great. A few blocks from Canal St, across the street from Harrah's Hotel, and caddy-corner from Harrah's Casino. All the staff from checking-in to the service employees were all great.

I love The Loews! I have stayed there many times and it is always TOPs on my list.

Wonderul staff helped me with the things I needed to set up proposing to my girlfriend. Great place!

This hotel was well situated one block from the Riverwalk. Valet very attentive, front desk too. View of Mississippi River from the room. I will choose this property again.

The room was better than expected. The staff was extremely courteous and view was unbelievable. I am coming back.

Great location, price for New Orleans,,,just a few blocks to bourbon street and riverwalk. Would definately stay there again.

Great location walking distance to all the major sites, French Quarter, Jackson Square etc. The staff was friendly especially the bar staff. Food was excellent as well as the work out facilities. Didn‘t care for the pillows too soft for my taste but over all an awesome stay. Miss Nola already!

I used to live in New Orleans and return annually to visit friends. I've stayed in several of the CBD/Quarter hotels and I must say that Loews is one of the best. It's very clean and has a great (and SAFE!) location. The pool/gym are awesome. In addition, I always find the rooms to be quiet and the type of guests to be a little more respectful about noise. Our room was large and had an impressive view of downtown and the river. Also, the staff was fantastic - so nice and friendly. Highly recommended.

Had never stayed at a Loew's before this work trip but I will now take a look at them in other cities. Met all expectations - was about .25 miles from Royal Street.

The location, staff and room were all great, the only thing that could have made our stay more enjoyable is the climate control in the room. Other than that, everything from valet to the friendliness of the staff to the decor of the hotel was perfect. The location is very convenient to the French Quarter and a few parades passed right in front of the hotel, which was very convenient! We really enjoyed Mardi Gras 2012, and the Loews contributed to our happiness!
