This hotel is really Nice....the. Service is Exellent, rooms are clean and spacious, there is a huge variety of food to choose from whether you eat at the buffet or a la carte restaurants....although the entertainment activities are very limited at this resort...there is plenty to do at the other resort from the same chain if hotels....the auditorium at the Barcelo Deluxe resort is huge and very nice...overall our experience was awesome!!!... We will definitely go back to this hotel!!!!'

The resort is very nice and relaxing. The hotel personnel are very nice and helpful. However, the buffet is not that great. On the other hand, certain restaurants are really good. So, make sure to reserve restaurants as soon as possible. The room is spacious and neat. However, I wish the bathroom was just slightly cleaner.

The stay was nice, service was as good as expected. Beach was excellent, pools are wonderful. Staff all spoke some English which made it easier, because I only speak a little Spanish at best. The food........well...Could have been better.

I should first disclose that my husband is a picky food and drinks guy. Grounds: gorgeous, very well kept Beach: had organic beach debris, lots of loungers available. downside: no beach bar so you had to go to the nearest pool for drinks Room: we got an ocean view king on the ground floor and loved it. our "yard" had 2 loungers that we used everyday to soak up the sun Pool: never an empty lounger on the adult side but we discovered the pool at the spa for "hydrotherapy" and it was a gem! We got prime location that was never full or with kids. Drinks: first there was no scotch and my husband only drinks scotch and beer. He had to settle for whiskey but was not happy about it. The cocktails I tried were really really sweet. And they are served in the flimsiest plastic cups. bring your own cup with lid and straw! Food: The buffets are all pretty similar. Food was ok. it would almost always be cold by the time you got back to your table. Restaurants were ok as well. menus were hard to understand since they were in 3 or 4 languages. We liked the Japanese restaurant best. And you have to make reservations every night otherwise you couldn't get a spot at any of their 9 restaurants. That was super annoying since you go on vacation to relax not keep strict schedules. Overall, we would not go back or even do another all inclusive.

The hotel is beautiful and the facilities are new and top notch. It's a lovely place on paper. The execution just isn't there. I stayed for 3 and a half days, and the only meals I enjoyed were eggs and one of the dinners at the restaurants. I'm not sure why the food was this bad, but it really put a damper on the trip. Also, the cocktails were pretty gross, especially a bloody mary which was hot sauce, bad vodka and more hot sauce. Note that I have very food and drinking standards. Everything else about the hotel was nice, but the food is a variable to take into account.

This is wonderful resort. The staff is very attentive and they treat you like royalty. The beach is beautiful with pink and white sand. This resort is huge!A train comes every 15 mins to get to other parts of the resort. The resort is SUPER CLEAN! Read many reviews and some not that great but ask yourself, what is the purpose of vacation? Few things I can see being a problem, the bathroom has a very HIGH tub that you have to step into which(problem if you have balance issues), it could use some new grout but by no means is it nasty, Everythings was clean (toilet, tub, and shower). Mini fridge always stocked and refilled EVERYDAY no addl charge. TV -Spanish and English channels, ceiling fans, and a nice comfy bed. Good to know some Spanish. Staff is bilingual but primarily not.. You must book reservations in advance at 1 of the 7 dinner choices, not including the buffets. Shows are nightly across the resorts and there is always something to do. CON- gift shops on the resort can be a bit pricey (a mini mall is located at the resort ),if you want to purchase something by cash you must go to guest services and pay, then come back with a receipt, then get your merchandise, which is frustrating. This is a MUST SEE RESORT! The flowers, hammocks and pools and sooo many palm trees makes me want to go back again and again!

This place has nice grounds and beaches, but the food was mediocre. Servers and bartenders were innatentive at best, surly at worst. Drinks are small, grudgingly distributed, and served in cheap plastic cups.The room was clean enough, but out of date. We were given a free bottle of champagne at check in, but it was basically undrinkable. International crowd, heavy on Russians when we were there in September. Only stayed there one night on our way out of the country, and we were grateful we didn't have to remain any longer. Mabel in the premium office was fantastic, a real bright spot.

We went with our 19 and 22 year old kids (they got their own room) and we loved the Bavaro Beach. Great hotel, wonderful service, great pools, great work out room, entertainment and beach. Staying at the all adult part of this resort is the way to go. It takes 5 minutes to walk to the palace any enjoy everything there but when you want to you can get away. Very international resort which we liked. I would give them a 5 on everything except food. I would make a reservation at one of the restaurants for every night. We did not like the buffet food and we are not very picky. Otherwise it was a fantastic stay.

This Hotel was good although we had minor problems with house keeping, First off let me start with the food the buffet food at our food was a 4 out of 5 but the buffet food at the main resort was a 5 out of 5. The hotel has a free train service that takes you to each of the 5 resorts including the golf course and spa which is awesome and runs on time and runs until 4 am!!. If you do decide to stay here i would recommend booking all your reservations for dinner at the various restaurants the first day you get there because it can be very very busy if you don't. The Mexican food was 5 star quality so was the seafood in the Marisco rest. The steak house was 4 star quality and so was the only restaurant on our resorts. FYI if your into Baby back ribs try the sports bar at lunch time its all you can eat. The casino was rather small and no one seemed to win anything. House keeping is the only thing keeping this hotel from a 5 star rating in my books. When they clean they do a good job it was just waiting for them to clean which was the problem. On avg they would clean the room at 3 pm which i found unacceptable. The drinks at the bars were very good and the servants were excellent beyond words. My tip here would be to not buy from the Hotel they sell 3X the prices walk towards the end of the beach and you will see vendors who give you all the same perks and are dirt cheap.

This is my 4th stay, and probably last, in this hotel in the last 15 months The food quality went down from 4-star to 2 to 3 star within the last 4 months. The resort itself is still very nice and clean, but the food (which used to be above par) is now no better than the average other 3-star resorts in this area. Gone are the mini-lobsters, chocolate fondue, fresh seafood, etc. etc. Each day is now the same bland food. In fact, the pasta section which used to be the lower-quality compared to everything else they served, is now head and shoulders above the rest. (And the pasta has NOT changed since last time...)

This was a very pleasant and relaxing stay. I have been to several all- inclusive resorts and cruises throughout the years. The Barcelo Palace Deluxe has topped them all. Our Premuim Club room was a few feet away from a breath-taking view of the beach. I do not do the community pool thing but the resort's pools' were very clean looking and refreshing to look at, I was quite tempted to jump in. The hotel staff were very nice, polite and not to mention very helpful. I enjoyed learning a few words of Spanish of which they were so graciuos in teachning me. The excursions were very adventureous and educational. I have not been to a better SPA. A must try!We are looking to re-visit for 2weeks next trip.

My boyfriend and I recently spent 2 nights at the brand new Barcelo Bavaro Beach (opened in December 2011), and we were genuinely impressed with every aspect of this hotel during our stay. The hotel is breathtaking, and I don't just mean the part of it where we stayed -- the Barcelo property is unbelievably huge, with multiple hotels, a shopping/casino/dining plaza the size of a mall, a golf course, a convention center, and other features. Take the quaint-looking train that goes to all the locations on the property and you'll see how impressive this complex is. As for the Bavaro Beach hotel specifically, it was all-around fantastic: the food was excellent with a wide selection at the buffet; the service was friendly and responsive; the a la carte restaurants were great (especially Chez Gourmet); the pool is the nicest of all the hotels we'd been to, with a great bar next to it and waiters who will bring your drinks to the pool, and the beach is also gorgeous. Make sure you make reservations for the a la carte restaurants when you arrive (check-in will direct you to the guest services office). The only minor drawback for us was that the room didn't quite match the brand new feeling of the rest of the hotel: it seemed more like it was an older room (especially the bathroom) that was spruced up for the new hotel. I don't know if that's true of all rooms in the hotel. Nevertheless, it was comfortable and well-located. I can't recommend this place enough - enjoy!

Bra hotell, du får det du betaler for. Stort område med mange aktivitetstilbud. Drinkene kunne vært av bedre kvalitet (f.eks. Cosmopolitan smakte som sukkervann) men noen barer holder høyere standard enn andre og mangfoldet er stort. Var litt rot med innsjekkingen, og det var stort sett de som jobbet med guest service som snakket bra nok engelsk så det lønner seg å kunne noen småord på spansk. Stranden var ren og fin, bassengene supre og deilig med adults only soner til buffet, bar og basseng. Rommet holdt høy standard. De ansatte var blide og imøtekommende men samtidig var det lett å se at mange hadde lange og tøffe arbeidsdager. Alt i alt fornøyd!

Exelente relación costo beneficio

O Hotel e otimo, os atendentes todos muito educados, falam diversos idiomas e o all inclusive e realmente completo, não falta nada. Os restaurantes tematicos são de excelente qualidade, nivel altissimo.Essas ferias valeram muito, o custo beneficio é incomparavel com o nordeste Brasileiro

Espectacular....... El único problemita, subsanado en forma inmediatan por el personal de limpieza en las habitaciones, era la demora en reponer los toallones de baño, porque les llegaban tarde. Super recomendable para adultos que realmente quieran descansar.

Adults Onlyなので滞在中は静かに過ごす事が出来、快適でした。また、隣接した同系のホテル施設を行き来することも可能ですので２倍楽しめ、お得だと思います。しかし滞在中、１つのアクシデントに見舞われ、そのときのスタッフの対応が酷かったので、少し評価が落ちました。ホテルの施設は問題なく、とても快適です。夕食は早めに予約することをお勧めします。
