Lamp switch was out and lamp did not work in the main room. The front desk night clerk is an idiot. I got charged $50 for incidentals at a hotel that has minimal extras. It has taken days and calls to get the charge removed. This hotel has all the makings of a good hotel, but the front staff sucks at night.

kind and helpful staff, spacious clean room, comfy pillows, flat screen with direct tv, free wi-fi in rooms, complementary continental breakfast, late check out available upon request

I am suprised that in such a high end location like Palm Springs, that non english speaking maid service cannot understand the hotel's usual guarantee of clean and fresh bedding for a check in I always used Hampton's without any concern, because I was sure the entire bed is washed after every guest. Now, I will always ask to see the room before staying. The company might save their nickels and dimes by hiring outside of the English speaking realm, but they lose the business in the end.

we enjoyed our stay at the hotel - it was a very convenient location to a work location for us. The staff was friendly and professional. Thank you!

Very pleased with all aspects of my stay from registration through departure. The breakfast and other amentities made my stay enjoyable and an outstanding bargin. Have stayed at this hotel previously and will again. Close to a great deal of attractions in the Palm Springs area.

Hotel was great, very clean and room was organized for our needs.

I enjoyed my stay at the Hampton Inn during the New Years weekend. the front desk let us check-in over 2 hrs. early. The pool area was clean and very quiet- no loud kids running around! The room had a nice 32in flat screen TV with Direct TV. The remote was rather difficult to learn becouse many of the stations had odd numbers. The free breakfast was great for us, very adequate but not super fancy. We had dinner one night at Applebee's, within walking distance, 1/3 mile away and good happy hour prices. The Palm Desert Mariott was very nearby for its wonderful New Years Celebration. One drawback was that the room was not cleaned up untill 5PM. Generaly, a nice place to stay in the Desert if you are on a moderate price range. James S., Upland CA

Friendly staff, bed super comfortable, quiet, spacious room, beautiful view of the sunrise over the desert from my window, delicious breakfast...warm cookies at the front desk!

Very nice hotel. Great equipped gym with weights. Great breakfast as always at Hampton Inns. Outside jacuzzi was not very hot though, just slightly warmer than the pool itself.

The hotel looked welcoming, and was clean comfortable, and accomodated my family of 5 very well in one of their 1 bedroomed suites. We had a large living area, along with a bedroom which contained 2 double beds. There was also a sofabed in the main living area. It was useful to have a sink, microwave, and a fridge. The air conditioning was extremely noisy and made it impossible to sleep well. Either we were too hot, or when we turned the air con on, it was too noisy. The pool was clean, and we had it to ourselves for most of the time. The spa/hottub was far too hot to use when we visisted (Aug). The were an adequate supply of sun loungers, tables and umbrellas. The breakfast room was large and bright, with a large number of chairs and tables. The range of items for breakfast was impressive , and included cooked items, fruits, yoghurts, cereals, waffles and pastries.

Very quiet.Good breakfast and relaxing pool.The only thing the air was blowing on and off all night,I tried to turn it off from the wall but such a switch did not exist,so it was a little cold at night.Easy to find,close to the freeways.

Our stay at the Hampton Inn & Sutites Palm Desert was a pleasant experience and we are planning a return visit in the future. The Inn is situated in an ideal location with Starbucks Coffee close by. The staff were so accomodating and friendlyand we received good advice on where to shop. The pool and Jacuzzi areas was clean and fun. Our breakfast meals were delicious with a good variety to chose from - my favorite was the Belgian waffle maker. We will be back!

My fiancé and I recently stayed at this hotel over the weekend. We had to check in late (1am) due to a concert over in Indio and the woman who checked us in was very accommodating and incredibly nice. She offered us a late check out at no extra charge and even went over the complimentary breakfast menu for the next morning. Our room was spotless and the king size bed was very comfortable! Our room came with a microwave and fridge that came in handy. The breakfast was tasty and offered a large variety of cereals, juices, coffee, eggs, and make your own Belgium waffles. Overall we were very pleased with our stay here and would definitely recommend to anyone!

Awesome location next to multiple small shops, Starbucks, gas stations and bars and close to the freeway for quick access as well. Had a great stay in a very larger than expected room at a very reasonable rate. Will definitely stay there again next time I am in town.

Excellent value, well-maintained. Large rooms, good amenities.

We chose this hotel because we were going to the tennis tourney at Indian Wells, it's only a few minutes away. The breakfast here is great, nice variety and very clean. Here is my complaint and alot of hotels are like this - the air conditioning is too loud, It is an under the window ac unit- from now on I am going to ask about what kind of ac a hotel has, I am a light sleeper and every time it kicked in , I woke up, even my husband complained about it- it seemed there was no low setting. Another detail hotels overlook is not everyone wants a fat pillow, there are 5 pillows on the bed, and they are all the same thickness - sleeping on a thick pillow kinks my neck- to me the 2 most important details - the ac and the pillows I didn't like - the pillows are easily correctable - what they can do about the ac I don't know but because of this I will find somewhere else to stay in the Palm Springs area.

My family's stay was short but sweet. The room was extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable. I wish I could have taken the comforter & pillow home. Breakfast was also excellent, plenty to chose from even for the picky children I had with me. Will definetly stay there again.

When we arrived we were issued a dirty room. The hotel corrected the mistake and gave us a room on the first floor. The breakfast in the morning was sad. It was one of the worst Hampton Inn breakfast's I have ever had (cold eggs, no bacon or sausage, hard english muffins). Also, the walls are thin, so we heard our neighbors above us and next door to us all night. I will not stay here again.

Checked in late at night and planned to stay until early morning to get back onto the road. Everything went flawlessly. Wonderful front desk service and the staff was great as well. Breakfast was as expected and met my expectations.

In the future I will only be staying at The Hampton Inn and Suites! The bed was the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on and truthfully I would like to purchase one just like it. The Hampton offered a healthy and delicious breakfast every morning (free) and the hotel attendants were always available for any thing I needed. Thanks for a perfect stay. I will definitely be back.

Overpriced for the location and amenities close by.

I recommend it.

I checked out every hotel in this category of price (or under), and to me, there didn't seem anything close to as nice. Turns out...I was right! This was the cleanest, nicest hotel I could have wanted in this price range. And I was amazed at how good the free breakfast was...it was not just "continental"; one day they served hot sausage and eggs, and the next day, it was delicious hot semi-eggs-benedict! As for the one complaint I had read in other reviews, about air-conditioner noise, I didn't think it was a big deal at all, but I "corrected" it by simply turning the fan to "On" so that it was just background white-noise all the time, and I never even heard it "kick on" when it went into cooling mode. As for location, true, the hotel doesn't have anything spectacular right near it, but it's fairly close to basically everything (just a few miles to downtown Palm Desert, and not outrageously far from Palm Springs proper), and you aren't paying the steep prices for "downtown" Palm Springs hotels/motels. So, for me, if I am shopping in this price range, I will always come back to this hotel from now on when I stay in the Palm Desert/Palm Springs area.
