Wow, this hotel had mold everywhere! The sealing tiles were falling in. It smelled of cigarettes with air freshener to cover it up, and there were zero ice machines working. Beds were falling off bases although they were surprisingly comfortable! It looked great down stairs but upstairs was a different story. Some of the lights didn't work, the clock was broken, mold in the showers, AC super loud! I will never go back!

Hotel was a good location to have access to the city and 6th street. The service was okay; wish the rooms were a little bigger especially if you have 4 people in a room. It's a little pricey if you have more than 2 people in a room per night.

Older hotel but basically well kept where it matters. People were nice, helpful, very busy. Good value for the money. Same as the $150 a night hotel I stayed at the night before.

very nice accommodations and friendly service.

Good value, very helpful staff. Loved the restaurant next door...wonderful vietnamese food and nice ambience. Would stay there again. Beds were very comfortable.

I pretty much expected this place to be a dump. I was in town for an event and did not have many choices. It is very dirty, and not maintained. Shower faucet was broken and had a cold shower the first day. Was fixed the 2nd day. Old mattresses in the stair wells. Trash piled out back. Don't stay here if you have any option to go somewhere else.

I give this hotel a 3/5 overal. The staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was really good offering many choices including waffles, eggs, sausage, and even biscuit and gravy. The hotel did have a workout room and a pool. The location is close to I 35. Nice for getting onto the interstate but confusing to get to when exiting off I 35. The cons of the hotel is that it seems to need renovation. The doors to the outside and the elevator are in need of renovation. The rooms are average. Not all the lights worked and the outlets were hard to find to charge my phone. The rooms did have a mini fridge but it was hard to regulate temp. Overal it wasnt a terrible experience but next time I would spend alittle more to stay in a nicer place. The money I saved wasnt really worth the room quality I sacrificed.

great location.close to Subway and a great asian noodle food eatery. would stay there agian. Beds were comfortable.

My stay at the Austin hotel was average.

Never stay here again. Was not until the next morning that I saw blood spots on the bedding I had just spent the night in. Elevator was broken so needed to climb to the third floor every time. Room was old and not maintained. Impossible to get a cab out here on the highway

Didn't have a good experience. Hotel isn't really close to much other than other hotels. My office chair and telephone did not work in room. The office manager did not notify me that a package came in for me. There were sunflower seed shells from a prior guest in the nightstand table drawer. Awful experience.

This hotel needs a capital infusion to turn it around. It has good highway access, off I-35 and I-71; the neighborhood is so-so. A new elevator was being installed; a second one was working. The rooms had broken lampshades, lamps without lightbulbs, carpet strips glued to the walls to serve as mop boards. It was safe - but nothing special.

Two negatives and one big positive. 1st negative - we were checking in at the same time a wedding party was checking in and it took fifteen minutes to check in their four rooms. 2nd negative - it ws very loud in the hallways from one o'clock in the morning until three. After serveral complaints, nothing was done. One big positive - your location was great for our social events.

So gross! The pictures do not even come close to what this place actually looks like. In addition, they book parties/events there, so if you want peace and quiet because you have things to do the next day, do NOT stay here! Guests also freely smoke marijuana and there are no consquences as what happened on my floor.

Front desk clerk was extremely welcoming and helpful. However, hotel is in poor condition. Elevator is scary. Weird smells, crunchy carpet, old mattress, tv didn't work, carpet torn up in places. Needs updating desperately.

This is a no-frills hotel in need of a little TLC but the rooms are clean. Parking is free and it's a 10 minute drive to downtown.

We commented to each other that this was the best hotel for the money that we have stayed in for a long, long time. We travel a lot. Much better and less expensive than a Motel 6, or similar brand, from mattresses to thickness of towels, etc. Desk chair should have been replaced some time ago as showed its age and there were a few nicks on the wall, but staff cooperation and hot breakfast more than made up for that.

I make several trips to Austin on business and have stayed at most of the hotels in the area. Baymont is my favorite. In this price range, of course. It is a good value, clean and service is good. Something the others cant say.

Great location, very good breakfast, helpful staff and peaceful sleep with a balcony overlooking a courtyard. Room was a little shabby and bathroom could have been cleaner.

I had read a mix of reviews and wasn't sure what to think, but we were only in town for a couple of days for a wedding, so as long as I had a place to sleep, I was okay. One thing I can complain about is that when we arrived there was no one at the front desk (nor a bell) and we were standing there for 5-10 minutes before someone finally came. Our room wasn't ready but we were early. The guy at the front desk was very knowledgable about area restaurants and we killed some time eating lunch and watching some games on TV. The room was nice and clean, although the bathroom fixtures could be updated, the light over the bed didn't work, and the ironing board had a stain on it. But is was comfortable! While RIGHT next to I-35, our room didn't get much traffic noise. The hotel was in a good location to major streets. It took no time to get downtown, or down Lamar to Zilker Park-we got so familiar that we didn't even use the GPS. Was also surprised by the breakfast buffet. We were expecting toast and cereal. They had eggs, sausage, bacon, waffle station, biscuits, lots of juice, coffee, and cereal. But get there early! We definitely plan on staying again when we return in the summer.

Worst hotel by far that I have stayed at. Upon arrival the door to my room was wide open. Stains on sheets. Overall horrible experience.

Hotel was ok.

I will never stay here or any other Baymont Suites again. The towels had large holes in them and were rough (definitely need replacing). The curtains on the windows had large holes in them, as if they had moths some point in time and just never replaced the curtains. Also, they own a venue just outside the hotel, and there was a quincenera or some loud party there that lasted from 5 pm to midnight. I sleep at odd hours due to my work schedule and the music from their party was WAY loud throughout the evening. I called downstairs to ask if they could go next door to tell them to turn it down and they flat out said no. They said that the Baymont Suites runs the venue next door and the people were allowed to have their loud music until 10 pm and if I wanted to leave then I should. Once 10:30 rolled around and they were still blasting their music, I was told by the front desk that they could play their music until midnight. They continued to suggested that I take my business elsewhere. No refund. No discount on further visits. No reason to stay there again. If the other hotels weren't booked, I would have. From now on, I will book elsewhere. If they don't want my money and don't cater to their customers, they don't deserve my money.

They really need to finish updating this hotel. The bathroom was 1/2 updated and the faucets and bathtub were disgusting. The neighborhood leaves alot to be desired. The food was ok but hate eating off flimsy paper plates and plastic utensils.

the hotel provides clean, safe basic service. No Gimmicks. It did have a nice shower and I think that was the best part of the hotel.

We stayed here on our first trip to ACL (and Austin) and had a great time. It was in our price range (we budget for partying, not hotel accommodations) and the service was great. Never made it down for breakfast, but the hotel is conveniently located in between a subway and a gas station with late night store open for snacks, brews, and waters. There was a shuttle that took us straight to zilker park- a 15-20 min drive, depending on traffic.

over priced, noisy business next door at night, dirty bathroom and just genrally needs to be renovated ...overall was not pleased

Nothing terribly wrong, nor exceptional about our stay. Front desk staff was pleasant. Needed a better curtain as the one in the room neither didn't really do much to prevent the sun from serving as a wake up call.
