Hotel Avenue - أمستردام

سوف أطلق على هذا الفندق أنه مكان مناسب للإقامة، كما أنه يلبي كافة ما يطلبه السائحون، فقد يشوبك القلق عندما ترى عرض يشير إلى ترقية للغرفة الفندقية مقابل دفع مبلغ إضافي من اليورو عند تسجيل الدخول، وبمجرد حدوث ذلك فإنك تفكر أن الغرفة الجذابة التي رأيتها على الموقع الإليكتروني لن تكون بمثابة صفقة رابحة، وبالفعل فإنك تجدها كذلك. لقد كانت الغرفة فردية، هادئة ولكنها كانت مزدحمة الأركان، ومفروشة بسجادة صناعية، ولم يكن بها حتى صندوقا من المناديل الورقية، وكانت تلك هي الغرفة الفندقية الوحيدة التي أقمت بها ولم تكن قد تم تحديثها بشاشة تليفزيون مسطحة بعد، كذلك فلم يكن ريموت التليفزيون يعمل، وقد ظننت أنه ربما تكون بطاريات الريموت فارغة، وقيل لي أنه ليس هناك أيٌ من العاملين لكي يأتي إلى غرفتي، لذا فطلبوا مني إحضاره إلى مكتب الاستقبال لاستبداله بريموت آخر جديد، وقد عمل في هذا الأمر نحو أربعة من طاقم عمل الفندق، حيث بدلوه بريموت آخر، واستغرقوا في ذلك 45 دقيقة لإيجاد ريموت آخر يعمل. وكان يتم تقديم أطعمة قياسية ضمن وجبة الإفطار مقابل سعر رخيص، ولقد كنت أعتقد أنه بنسيون معقول، ولكنه كان بنفس مستوى الأسعار الفندقية، كما أنه أقل بكثير من ناحية مستوى الخدمات المتوفرة به.

إن هذا الفندق يعتبر قيمة رائعة مقابل المال، كما أن سعره يشمل تقديم وجبة الإفطار بالإضافة إلى شبكة الإنترنت، وبالنسبة لوجبة الإفطار فكانت مناسبة، وسرعة الإتصال بالإنترنت كانت معقولة تدعم فتح مكلمات الفيديو على برنامج التواصل "سكاي بي"، كذلك فالموقع كان ملائما للغاية، حيث أنه كان يبعد خمس دقائق سيرا على الأقدام عن محطة القطار، والطريق الرئيسي يمر به بعض عربات الترام وهو ما كان يعني وجود بعض الضوضاء، ولكن كان هذا هو الحال القائم بغض النظر عن وجود الفندق بهذا الشارع، وهناك بعض الغرف التي تقع بعيدا عن الشارع الرئيسي، لذا فإذا كانت الضوضاء تؤرقك فبإمكانك أن تطلب الإقامة بأحد هذه الغرف وقت تسجيل الدخول، ولكنني أرى أنه من الأفضل أن تسجل حجزك بفندق يبعد أكثر عن الصخب بقلب المدينة، إذا كانت الضوضاء تمثل مشكلة بالنسبة لك.

كان طاقم العمل في غاية الود والتعاون، كما كان بوفيه الإفطار ممتازا، من ناحية الكم والكيف معا، فكانت هناك وفرة في المياه الساخنة دائما، كذلك فالفندق نفسه كان دافىء الجو بصفة مستمرة، بالإضافة إلى وجود شبكة إنترنت مجانية، وهو ما كان نوعا من الترحيب والكرم المشكور، وكذلك كانت هناك سعة في الوقت المسموح للإنتهاء من تسجيل المغادرة " وقت الظهيرة"، هذا أيضا علاوة على أن توفر مخزن مجاني للحقائب لم يمثل أي مشكلة.

This place is totally bare bones, but if you just need to stop off for a night or two, it's a solid choice. Small room, no shampoo, no coffee, ... but, it was in a great part of town, my room was really quiet because it faced into a courtyard, and it was clean and safe.

very easy to find from the Amsterdam Centraal train station. It is about a 5 minute walk. Also near the hotel is a great shopping area (touristy). It was about a 10-15 minute walk to the Anne Frank house. Breakfast was good. the room was small (as expected). Also, taking a shower will wet the entire bathroom floor.

Location was excellent, staff friendly and helpful, breakfast tasty. our room was clean, but the sink was falling from the wall, looks like it has been sat on and needed support. Washroom was roomy, shower and a full bath..the downside, our room was beside an elevator and noisy at night, we also could not adjust the heat, it could not be lowered,so we turned it off...we were on street level so had the window open for air at night, actually there was less noise from the street than the elevator. I would recommend this Hotel to others...

The room was freezing cold when I got the hotel and the huge window had such big gaps that I had a constant breeze in the room. Room...well, if u can call that closet a room. Breakfast was on a OK level and there was hot water in the shower. But seriously a *** hotel?!?! Not even close. Never staying there again that's for sure.

On arrival I was presented with a bill Hotel Tax| although I had been assured by Hotels.com that I had paid my booking in full. I had stayed at this hotel several times a decade ago. The room was tiny as in unbearably so. The rooms have been halved in size and certainly were not representative of £50 + a night. I was stuck in a poke in a back alley.My stay was not what I had expected and I was disappointed. I will not return.

The Avenue is always my hotel of choice whenever I go to Amsterdam. I have been staying there regularly for a good number of years, visiting at least 4 times a year. The location is great - 5 minutes from the station, close to sights and/or transport. Great staff, a good buffet breakfast and small but comfortable and clean rooms. For the price and location it is the ideal hotel for me in Amsterdam.

The location is very convenient, few minutes from Centraal Station. But this is not suitable for longer stay (3days or more) as they barely change the breakfast menu, plus very bad wifi connection.

Close to Centraal Station, free wifi throughout the hotel, reasonable breakfast buffet and friendly staff -- have stayed here before and definitely will stay here again. Great home base for a tourist visit, tram stop right outside the door but walkable to all the central sights.

Handily placed for Amsterdam Central train station, only 5 minutes walk away. Hotel was clean enough, if a little dated. Breakfast was served until 10.30am and was typical for a hotel of this price. WiFi was free with a code from reception and worked fine for me.

Have stayed here many times and I have always had a nice stay. Close to Centraal Station and the Dam, can take streetcars everywhere with ease. This time I was given Room 304 (a single) -- the room was very smoky even though it is a non-smoking hotel and the room has a bathroom fan that runs all the time creating a dull roar. Next time I will have to be sure to avoid this room!!

Perfect location for sightseeing & transportation to airport and countryside tours. Great buffet breakfast, friendly, helpful staff. Room small but adequate, large shower/bathroom. Would like to stay there again and can recommend to others. A can't miss 3 Star experience in Amsterdam.

Have stayed here several times over the years. Can't beat the central location, easy walk to Centraal Station, take the streetcar outside the door to everywhere. Nice breakfast, clean rooms, and free wifi. Good value for money.

very convenient location, ok for a couple of nights but room did not match pictures shown when booking. does not really matter when you are just looking for a room to sleep while exploring Amsterdam during the day. large breakfast buffet included in price was a plus!

I've stayed at this hotel many times because of how close it is to the Central Train station, and because they have competitive prices and the best breakfast in town! While the rooms are small, that doesn't matter to me because I only use the rooms for sleeping.

Only stayed two nights, room is small but good for a single occupancy. Bathroom is decent, tub, shower, and small sink, with built in hair dryer but no iron, 19 inch CRT TV. Although dual window, one can hear the crowd below (was on 2nd floor). Complementary breakfast is descent, with variety of meat and cereals. Would come back again for a short stay. Can't comment about the scary because was on a very busy business trip, so didn't get a chance to do sight seeing. Neighborhood didn't seem busy or run down.

This was a great hotel. Very clean, terrific breakfast, close to the train station and canals, easy walking distance to all we needed. Staff was very friendly and we got a great nights sleep.

The people at the desk were so helpful with information on day tours and other things. Breakfasts were spectacular. Location good. I'd stay there again.

The hotel was practical and did the job for us, it's not 5* so don't expect it! It's in a good location close to central station, red light district, all the sights and pubs / bars around the corner. Could do with tea/coffee making facilities in the room. I've stayed on the Damrak before but found this hotel better (quieter on a night). As i say the only let down was not having brewing up facilities in the room, other than that i'd stay there again.

I have stayed at the Avenue Hotel many times over the past few years. I get one of the single rooms way in the back, #103 this time. The hotel is located close to the Centraal Train Station but not so close as to be in a seedy neighborhood. The hotel staff is friendly and they provide free wifi (with access code) and a nice breakfast buffet. Good value for money.

It was very convenient to Central Station thus easy access to Schipol. My wife thought it was great there was a quilt shop just down the street. The location is very good, close to shopping, dining etc. The breakfast isn't served until 0700, a little late especially if you have an earlier flight.

Good hotel amenities and very good location. Close to Dam Square and Central Station. Found the Indian/Asian lady at the reception not very welcoming and not helpful at all but all the others were nice. Shower stall is a little bit weird in the hotel and the lighting could be better but breakfast was good with decent option. We requested for a double bed but was given 2 single beds joined together. It is a good hotel to keep as a base to explore the city.

We had a 3 bed room on the 4th floor overlooking the street. I will stay there again.

The rooms are small, but all Amsterdam rooms tend to be small so this was no different from other options. The breakfast was good in that there were plenty of options, enough seating, and friendly staff.

lovely stay at the avenue located in the centre of amsterdam 5 mins from trainstation and 5 mins into the town nice hotel clean and tidy food ok, be aware of a city tax charge when u check in they dont tell u about it until u get there i think its about 15 euros. hotel a little dated but nice overall changed towels and bedding each day

Hotel is a short walk from Centraal Station but was easy for us to find, one street over from the main street. Hotel was clean but room was a bit small, still very comfortable. Room also had perfectly working AC, which is apparently very rare to get in Europe. AC worked great! This hotel had the best breakfast buffet I've ever had at a hotel in Europe, the biggest selection too. Our breakfast was included but I think it is normally 6-7 Euro. It is worth the price. Location is great, very central to Dam Square which is a short walk up the street. Many bars and places to eat in the area. A few streets over from the Red Light District. A little bit pricier than the majority of hotels I've stayed at, but I would stay here again.

Our room smelled like the sewer was backed up. The front desk clerk came to the room and agreed. She said they had no other rooms, and twice they tried to cover the smell by treating the shower drain. The second time they put lots of bleach down the drain, which did kill the sewer smell but left a strong bleach smell. I twice requested an adjustment, but was always put off by the staff. I don't think they really care, they got their money. I would not recommend this hotel. The carpet was also heavily stained.

I know neighborhoods near main train terminals tend to be a little grubby, but this was a little grittier than expected. Breakfast was OK. No restaurant for dinner though. Cantraal station is very close, so it served it's purpose for my stay. Room was tiny, even by euro standards. Bathroom smelled of cigarette smoke, I'm sure a previous guest (or guests) tried smoking in there although it is a non smoking hotel.

Stayed here before and booked again as we knew exactly what we were getting. Late checking in and got a room which was ok. No view of street. Breakfast was good. Great selection of cooked and continental. Excellent location just 5 minutes from Dam Square.

Hotel is very central...and that's its best feature. Room was functional, but without any up to date comfort. Bed and tv '80's style and room was small with 1 little window looking out on a wall. But if you need a cheap central location this is a decent place.

Room walls are like paper; you hear everything outside. Coffee is not free anymore. Everything costs. It's a 2 star hotel, not 3 star.

Small rooms and tram noises. BUT, still a nice, convenient and friendly hotel; great value with breakfast included. One can walk everywhere and lots of good restaurants near by. Would stay again

Had to pay 5 Euros extra when I arrived which I wasn't told about by Hotels.com. Cleaners arrived late afternoon each day by which time I was back at my hotel which wasn't ideal. Other than that I thought this was a really good hotel, very polite staff including cleaners. Great location for sightspotting. Good restaurants and pubs and bars nearby.

It has an excellent location BUT the room smell smoking, the radiator (hot air) doesnt work well. I asked the administration everyday to solve the problem but they doesnt solve it! The wifi conection in the rooms is really bad, it drops every minute. Really dont reccomend this hotel. In my next visit to AMS, will go to another place.

the hotel is in a great location. very close to the main train station ( That worked out great for us if you have a early flight you can just walk) The breakfast was good. However I would only stay here if you spend no more then two nights. For the weekend its ok but not more then 2 days. The bathroom shower setup was not great. You turn the shower on and water goes everywhere. The shower and floor are one part with nothing with keeping water spraying all over the place. The rooms dont have enought light in them so it was hard to read maps so I had to go into the bathroom for that. The staff was very nice. As far as buying sodas(coke) chips or drinks dont buy them from the vending machine at the hotel go next door to the gift shop they have everything in there and much cheaper. You can also buy tram tickets in there as well

Have stayed here several times in the past. Continues to be an excellent value/cost property. Close to the Centraal Station, clean rooms, great breakfast buffet and free wifi.

on arival on 24th january we booked in and got room 98 ground floor aprox 70 yards from the reception got there 21.00 put cases in room and went out to get some food. when we returned we went straight to bed tired from the day traveling hopeing or a good rest ready for the next day... OMG AS SOON AS WE LAID DOWN WE COULD HEAR THE BATHROOM TOILET FAN RUNNING WE WENT AND COMPLAINED SAYING WE CANT GET TO SLEEP FOR IT THE GUY AT RECEPTION SAID THAT THERE KNOW ABOUTE THE FAN BUT CANT TURN IT OFF OTHER WISE THE ROOM WILL SMELL WE TRYED AGAIN TO SLEEP IMPOSIBLE SO COMPLAINED AGAIN AT RECEPTION AND GOT IN TO A ARGUMENT WITH THE GUY AT RECEPTION HIS REPLY WAS !!SHUT UP OR ILL CALL POLICE...THAT NIGHT WE GOT APROX 1 HOURS SLEEP SOON AS DAY STAFF CAME ON WE DEMANDED A ROOM CHANGE AND WERE PUT IN ROOM 401.. ROOM 401 was very quiete and we hit the bed and slept till 14.00 after no sleep at all in room 98 so 1 day wasteed off our 3 day break... room 401 small carpets stained thread bare but yes nice and quiete . this hotel is non smokeing which we thought great till u look out your window and see peole at there windows nealy hanging out haveing a smoke. room 401 acualy stunk off urine think some one had wee on the floor. breakfast was so poor we only had it one time out off the 3 day break.. all in all guys please dont book this hotel we are regular travelers and this is probs the worst hotel we have ever stayed in and over the last 3 years we have had 10 vacations and this is the only time i have had to do a bad review...

ideal location for a trip to central amsterdam, only 3 min walk from the station but the hotel itself does need a refurb, especially the rooms tired and dated rooms, shower bits falling off, old small TV, lumpy bed etc. but was cheap so, not the end of the world

Great Hotel, when I'll come back to Amsterdam I will surely choose this hotel again. Great location, rooms comfortable and clean!

We had a quadruple room, which consisted of a double bed in the main part of the room, and two singles in the loft, accessible via a ladder. The kids loved having their own space, and we loved them having their own space too! Breakfast was very good - lots of choice

OK hotel if you want to live rather cheap. Way to depressing if you are a business traveler, the single room felt like a prison cell, the standard was pretty low and the bed had a funny angle (it felt like your feet was higher than your head).
