Very clean rooms, very freindly staff , very comfortable. But quiet far from city center. I

The shuttle service is very good and convenient. The internet connection was bad, the signal was very weak in the room. The room had a good size and very clean. Had all the amenities.

It suited our needs

Convenient free shuttle to the airport was a plus..Staff was helpful and the restaurant service was expensive but very good food.

For an airport hotel that we required for a single night, I had no expectations when I booked the room. It ended up being a pleasant surprise with clean and spacious rooms, excellent and friendly staff, and conveniant shuttle to/from airport. Pool was a bit too cool but the kids still loved it.

Free parking free wifi is built into the price along with the shuttle service so the value is there ,clean room and helpful front desk ,the trip into amsterdam requires taking the shuttle to the airport then the train to town 45mins each way if your lucky. Did not eat there but it is somewhat expensive Mc Donalds is close or take the shuttle to the airport to eat.

this was a wonderful place to stay. Transportation to the Shipotle airport was included and from there you could take the train into amsterdam.The room was great and it had a nice deep tub something you dont find a lot of in European countries. Breakfast was a buffet that you paid for but was worth every cent.

I had a 22 hour layover, and I needed to get work done - in that respect, the hotel did what I needed of it. The only annoying thing is that the free wireless kept going out - I had to re-connect every 10 minutes for some reason. Shuttles to the airport start at 6AM - you can just make it if your flight leaves at 7 (I just managed).

We stayed at this hotel for one night. Nice hotel and clean. Room is nice and has everything you need for a short stay. Shuttle service from 6 am every 30 minutes.

English speaking staff and air port shuttle are plus points. Hotel is neatly kept and fairly large room compared to other hotels in Europe. Break Fast was so so for 13 euros. Overall good stay.

A very nice hotel, high value for the price, with very good access to motorways. Best if you have a car, since you get free parking and it is 15 minutes drive to Amsterdam center and just next to the airport.

Close to airport with free shuttle. Downside was it is in total industrial area. No attactions close at all. McDonalds next door was only accessible business. Great resturant on location. Prices were fair. Had things to do such as pool, limited gym equipment and pool table. If it is where you are staying as a stop-over and not intending to see anything in Amsterdam it is great.

Great hotel with polite staff, pool and gym and also free WiFi. Would use it again if returning to Amsterdam or in transit. Stayed a number of extra days awaiting a flight and it was no hassel as the BW.

I would never stay at any Best Western hotels again as stuff was stolen from my room. I reported this to staff who could not have been less interested and were extremely rude. I wrote a complaint to head office and was told nothing could be done. Therefore I would not recommend anyone to stay here as I had a really bad experience at this hotel.

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was nice. Service in the restaurant was slow, but the food was good. Overall nice stay on my way out of the Netherlands.

Room was so-so, but the bathroom and shower were nice. Neighborhood not so great. Shuttle was convenient. Close to McDonald's, but don't expect to get breakfast in the early AM -- not before 8. But you can have a Big Mac at 6 a.m.! with fries!! Can't use a credit card before 8. We probaby would not stay here again if there were a better hotel available with a shuttle.

Would be nice it it were totally smokefree, even if you are in a smokefree room the ventilation system still brings in the "fumes"

This was really a great hotel to stay at. We have 3 children all under 7. We booked a suite and it was nice with a microwave and refrigerator and of course two seperate rooms. The pool was a lot of fun for the kids. They have a free shuttle to the airport an then it's about a 5-10 minute train ride to the center of Amsterdam. Very convenient without the noise of being in the center. There is a Mcdonalds next door so that's nice for food if your leaving or in late and don't want to go back out. Overall we would book this hotel again.

Tres agreable, tres acceuillant. et staff tres sympa!

The hotel and rooms were clean. The room was small, but this was to be expected after reading countless reviews on various sites. The location worked for my fiance' and me as we took the hotel shuttle to the airport and then took the metro into various parts of the city. The shuttle stops running at 11:45 and if you are not back in time for that, you can get a cab easily and cheap. I rated the service a 3 b/c the ladies at the front desk are not the friendliest!!!

I recently took a two-week trip around Europe and stayed at six different hotels, most of them 4-starts and all of them unknown to me and booked online. Most of them were known franchises as this Best Western but this hotel was by far the worst I found in many years, if not in my entire life (and I’m a frequent international traveler). First of all the entire hotel has not been renovated in probably twenty years, the lobby and corridors smell musty and reek of cigarette smoke. The rooms and bathrooms are a decent size but bedding and towels are of really poor. The overall atmosphere, lighting and decoration were really depressing throughout the whole place. To make matters worse there was this teenage-girl that greeted us at the reception desk with a nasty attitude; she was rude, disrespectful and condescending. Her English was really basic, which made for a very complicated interaction, she had absolutely no sense of customer service and her manners were definitively non-existing. To our regret we stayed the night as we arrived almost at midnight but left the next day first thing in the morning as the place was just unpleasant. This hotel does NOT even deserve 3-star (it’s listed as a 4-star) neither by American or European standards. The only one good thing about this hotel were the shuttle drivers, really nice guys, helpful, courteous, with excellent people skills and great ambassadors for their city.

Hotel lives up to expectations and is quite satisfactory for an airport hotel. Only problem is the free shuttle service only starts at 6am. Too tight for 0720 departures to the uk .

The hotel is conveniently located with a free shuttle to and from the airport. My room was good-sized and modern with free wifi access. The service, however, needs improvement. I called twice to have someone come up to take a look at my window because it would not close. No one ever came and I spent the night listening to car and plane sounds--luckily it did not rain or get too cold.

This hotel is beautiful and has all amenities. Very close to airport with a free shuttle, bus stop at the corner and McDonalds next door. Perfect.

The staff was rude and it took forever until the shuttle came.

This is a really convenient hotel to stay at due to its proximity to the airport and the frequent shuttle. The main downside for us was the lack of utensils, cutlery, cups or plates so we couldn't use the kitchen facilities. We had 3 paper cups for hot drinks- there were 5 of us staying in the unit (2 adults and 3 children).

The bathroom sink was stopped up never fixed. Messages were left at the desk but when I asked for them I was told there were none. Location was not convenient to airport. Shuttle service at night was poor - I waited over half an hour for the hotel shuttle to appear. Price of room was far too high for the poor service and room condition.

I picked this hotel b/c the price was right and it had a free airport shuttle. I arrived late in the evening and checking in was easy. The also scheduled the shuttle in the AM as well. I didn't eat at the restaurant but they have a breakfast for a cost. I'd recommend this place to others. Nothing special but clean and convenient.

Great hotel for the airport. They have a free shuttle that goes every 30 minutes from the airport and the hotel. We were able to stay near the airport and take the shuttle to the airport to catch a train into town. Definitely the best bargain. Hotel was clean, staff was very efficient and friendly.

First of all the shuttle was one hour late in picking us up; when attempting to call the hotel the number on the roster did not work; secondly the restaurant staff should be fired; no bread; had to ask for forks and knives; they close at 11: 00 we were in at 10:40 and when we finished we wanted desert only to be told that the kitchen was closed; they never came by the table to ask us if we wanted anything else before their kitchen closed; lastly I had a reservation for the shuttle they never called the room. Overall I will never stay here again!!!

Very close, but rooms are also very basic.

We were looking for a cheaper alternative to the VanDerValk A4 Hotel where we usually stay. Shuttle from airport is now free both ways. It's fast (less than 10 minutes) with helpful, friendly drivers. Double room at the BW was less roomy (partially due to longer bed length) but very manageable. Furniture and carpet did not seem as old and appeared cleaner. Very clean bathroom. Beds were more comfortable--no sagging in the middle, not too hard and not too soft. Breakfast was !3.5 Euros per person in a clean, pleasant dining room. Though not as classy an atmosphere or extensive of a buffet as the VanDerValk, the BW breakfast buffet offers scrambled, fried, or hardboiled eggs, bacon, smoked salmon, etc., cold cereal, granola, a fruit mix, some fresh fruit, yogurt, a variety of fresh breads and toppings, whole grain crackers, juices, coffee, and tea. There is no breakfast menu from which to order, only the buffet. We found the variety adequate for a decent breakfast before the long day of flights ahead of us.

I write as someone who is used to American hotels. As a Best Western, this airport hotel experience was very different than that of all other hotels with which I am familiar. Let me start by saying that the reception staff was the most hard working and passionate I have ever seen. This is said even though they are being asked to do the impossible. Let me explain: when I arrived in the evening they were checking guests ins and out while, at the same time, acting as bar tenders and restaurant staff. In the morning, they were checking guests in and out, while, at the same time acting as omelette preparers and breakfast staff. There were no evening housekeeping staff. When I got to my room I noticed that no soap or shampoo were there. I called the front desk and was told that they were out of soap and shampoo because management had forgotten to reorder these. However, 10 minutes later, there was a knock on my door and one of the front desk staff members brought me one piece of soap. So, my conclusion is that the staff is very hard working but that the management style is geared toward minimizing costs for the company rather than providing a quality experience for the guests.

Pros - well known name, location to the airport and the free shuttle. Cons - The receptionist was far to business like, to the point of being rude. Didn't know whether or not the room had a hairdryer (it did). The bathroom did not have shampoo. Quite rude to another guest who was asking for shampoo and she quite abruptly told the guest that there wasn't any shampoo anywhere in the hotel.

We were initially placed in a smoking room in a hallway and room that smelled very strongly of smoke. We moved and had a decent room for our purpose---to be close to the airport and have a free shuttle. We wanted to use the sauna, but it didn't heat up properly and it didn't smell very good. The day shift desk staff were helpful, but the evening staff did not seem very professional. I might stay there again because the rate was competitive and it was close to the airpor.
