Prince Palace Hotel - بانكوك

I couldn't stay there because the room they gave me simply did not work. You name it, the phone, lights and A/C did not work and it was over 100 degrees in the room. Plus they never brought my luggage to my room in which they said they would. So I checked out the same day. The people at the reception was not helpful at all. Total opposite from the last time I stayed there six years ago.

After being assigned a room in building C, I was told that my luggage would be brought up to my room in 20 minutes. My luggage never made it. The A/C did not work. The lights did not work. The TV did not work. The phone did not work. It was over 100 degrees in the room so I went don't to where I checked in and checked out the same day. I went down stairs to see my suitcase sitting where I left it. The guy downstairs said he called my room and got no answer so he left the suitcase there instead of checking to see if there was a problem. I'll never book the Prince Palace ever again.

Unfortunatly the service and guests have changed. Had to wait fore two hours while crowd of russians albowed around. The end

friendly and accomodating staff, convinience for shoppers easy access for transfortation the only thing i dont like is no internet free most of the hotel now are free wifi they sell card for internet acces in very expensive amount.

Nice hotel! Good Service! You can Walk to the most sights in Bangkok! The Pool at the 11th floor is also a highlight for a Bangkok vacation.

Nice hotel. Terrible expensive internet. They make more money by selling internet card than actual room rent. They must realize the necessity of internet for each individual and avoid terrible charges.

We arrived at the hotel around 8am and were told we had to wait until check-in time that was ok with us but the reception staff were very rude. finally we got the room but the phone didn't work and there was no hot water. we called the house keeping and reception from the phone near the elevators as the room was in the other tower, far from the reception. The only response we got was "one moment pls madam" and it went on for 3 hrs. Finally I had to go to the reception to complain, still the staff spoke among themselves in Thai and woudn't tell us what was happening. So our first day was wasted in sorting these matters out. Finally the manager on duty came and gave us another room, after that everything was smooth. Thailand not a land of "smiles".

We arrived in Bangkok very late at night with hotel reservations at Prince Palace. We were pleasantly surprised to walk into the stunning entrance. The reception staff were welcoming, English speaking and efficient. The 4 of us stayed in a 2 bedroom suite, very spacious, comfortable and clean. The bathrooms are in need of updating, as they don't seem to polish up to a nice sparkle. The coconut bar pool area is very relaxing and enjoyable. The front lobby staff are readily available to assist with transportation needs via tuk tuk and taxis. Our stay was so good that we booked again for the last 2 days of our 5 week adventures throughout Thailand.

I got a great deal that included their excellent breakfast and 2 bottles of water daily. It's a posh hotel with banquet rooms and restaurants for the rich on the 32nd floor. We took 2 tours recommended by the Concierge. Concierge was reluctant to disclose MTR and Sky Train informnation. I would recommend this hotel. Disappointed that the internet was not free.

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. Some of them went out of their way to accommodate us. The hotel was central to the good and cheap shopping locations. It was easy to get to the main shopping spots - MBK and Platinum Mall, as it was just a short and cheap water taxi ride away.

Hotels.com advertised a superior room with king bed, got there and they said that they do not have a superior room with king bed and then just told us to push the beds together. I have no idea why this hotel has good reviews. Pool area is great but the rest of the hotel is rank and stinks of mildew.

Hotel is ok, the rooms were nice but no king bed which they didn't tell us about when booking in. The room wasn't cleaned, marks all over the mirrors and receipts and papers in the drawers from the last guests... pity as the beds were clean and the rest of the room was fine. Food is good espically the afternoon buffet but it was a bit of a treat and a lot more than we would normally spend on food. Breakfast was good and plenty of choice. Paying for wifi and gym was a joke, very disappointed about the gym as no mention of it anywhere that you would have to pay a fee for the full day to use it ...per day....plus when I went over to the gym they basically said they were nothing to do with the hotel. Our phone never worked in our room, asked 4 times for it to be fixed and nothing only smiles and yes yes we'll get it fixed. A real let down. Otherwise it's in an ok location and it is an ok hotel just needs work on looking after their guests. We won't be staying again as there is a lot better value out there with free wifi!

Good hotel to eat in but we did not get a King or Queen bed as requested on reservations. So the manager had the 2 double beds put together and hope it would work! Carefully when going out on a Tuk-Tuk we driver took us to seafood rest. And paid $122 for bad food! Better to eat at hotel very good food there at night.

Staff at this hotel are really great and help full..The rooms in the B tower need a real make over as this has really old rooms. Staff are really helpful and provide a great service. Only bad thing is that to travel anywhere requires you to Bargain with the Tuk- Tuk and Taxis!!!! Think the Hotel should provide a transport service to the main roads...

I was disappointed in my stay. So many tour groups were there, it was a long way to another building to get to the room, and the facilities were crowded as well. The check in service was good, but not so good in the breakfast area. The other surprise was the high charge to use the internet (about $20 per day) even in the public areas, which I thought were supposed to be free. The lobby is not on the ground floor and had to wait a while to check in and to check out. Would not stay here again, plenty of other choices to make.

Hotel located right above wholesale center, the stalls outside will open early morning around 4-5am and close at 9am shift into the shop inside the building. Need to take tuk-tuk or taxi to downtown. Hotel building itself already consist 4 towers , rooms and suites, and a main building. Be remind that reception is at 11th floor of main building, it took me 5-10mins walk daily to get outside for tour.overall is good.

nice 3 rooms suite, perfect for a family, we couldn't eat the breakfast - the taste of most of food was uneatable. high rates for wi-fi - must be reduced. nice swimmingpool, clean room.

We stayed in C tower which was good but starting to show it's age. Online booking showed breakfast include but was not shown on reciept

The location of the hotel was perfect to day trip throughout Bangkok. Considering the amount of Westerns in the hotel, there is an immediate need to have foreign speaking and understanding hotel staff, especially English, to assist and support the guests needs and requests instead of playing charades most of the time.

I would highly recommend this hotel, it is in a great location and is value for money

The towels and sheets smelled like they were washed with dirty feet water. Room service was excellent

I stayed in a two bedroom suite at Prince Palace Hotel in Bangkok. The room was spaceous and tidy. Location was fine but with no BTS or MRT stations close by. The funny experience you could get though is to try the water taxi which departs frequently within few minute walk from the hotel. It is the way to advoid traffic if you are going to Central World for shopping. My overall experience with this hotel was satisfactory. The only thing which has got me upset was about the check in process. I arrived at the hotel just after 2pm and got advised to wait at least an hour for the room to get ready. I asked the front staff (a lady) what time the normal check in hour should be and got advised to be 4pm. It was a different information I got from the website when I did my booking. Therefore I asked again and the same answer was given from the lady staff. Well, while she was walking away to process my credit card for security payment, I double checked with another girl at the front desk. And there I got another answer which is 2pm. I got really upset by that and confronted the staff who purposely lied to me to make me wait. And there after the manager came over and offered me a room straight away. To apologise he gave me an option of late check out (which I didn't take it at the end). Anyway, the point here is why the girl had to lie to me at the first instance. She didn't admit her mistake nor explain/ apologise. It was not a big deal, but it was a bad first impression given at the minute I arrived at the hotel. It was not a pleasant experience and I hope others won't get that.

This was a terrible hotel. The staff were rude and unhelpful. The lights in our room were broken. The hot breakfast was cold and over crowded. The other restaurants in the hotel are over priced and don't offer any thai food?!! Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere closer to MBK and the rest of the city, as this hotel is hard to get to and not worth your time.

nice hotel' 10 minutes walk from the beach. we stay at the tower floor 19 and the noise from the streets is very loud.

Actual hotel was nice and well kept, but food was always served cold, and staff was unhelpful. Wouldn't recommend

Very nice staff and good breakfast. Very nice pool and rooms. Would stay here again when I come back to Bangkok.

This Hotel offers a great daily rate, however due to a poor location ( little in the way of restaurants, shops close to Hotel) we felt kinda trapped. Although there are numerous restaurants and bars in this large hotel food and drink at the hotel is generally way overpriced. We felt lucky to be staying only a couple of days. Friendly and helpful hotel staff save for the "concierge" whose attitude felt more like lets make a deal!!! Hotel car to the airport 1100baht...metered taxi 217baht The occasional feeling you were NOT being ripped off ?.....Priceless

Hotel was great, no free wifi but no worry,really clean large room,Excellent view,river boat near to take u into centre of Bangkok,very friendly staff,lovely pool,had a wonderful stay in Bangkok,breakfast lovely

overall this hotel is good except taxi at this hotel is too little.

Stayed here after 2 weeks travelling around Thailand. A welcome relief from all the cold showers and non airconditioned rooms around the rest of the country. Worth every Baht I paid for the room!!

Nice hotel Comfortable. Staff very helpful & friendly Choice of resturants & bars within the hotel Lovely pools Very clean Bedroom very comfortable The only down sides were that the breakfast was very mediocre boardering on poor (I have stayed in many Bangkok hotels) Not much choice (eggs always cold) Area is ok lively in the day but 'dead' in the evenings need taxis to get ywhere Overall could not fault the hotel other than my comments above
