Pleasantly surprised, exceeded all expectations! Will stay here again, next time we come in the area for a conference.

This was a very nice surprise. They had a hot breakfast. They employees were all very helpful, and the bed was more comfortable than a much more expensive motel we had stayed in the night before. I would highly recommend this motel.

The Douglas Inn is clean and the staff is very friendly. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It is close to I-75 for easy access. The breakfast offered is very good and the dining area is clean. Would definitely stay there again!!

Stayed at motel for 6 days. everything was ok til I checked out and reported an uncovered bulb in one of the overhanging light fixture. Which was too bright and annoying. When I mentioned the problem the clerk shrugged and said "Oh well, we hear that a lot" I asked why isnt it fixed" "Management knows about it" Overall, it was a great stay and convenient, Will stay there again

Friendly clerk at check- in. Room was clean & convenient...1st floor. We were traveling & knew we would be checking in late. Our reservation was held as promised. The only thing I would not recommend is the breakfast, but there is a Cracker Barrel next door. Our room was quiet & comfortable. I would recommend this hotel. Real bargain for the money.

Despite some negative reviews, and having already stayed several days earlier at the Quality Inn in Cleveland, we took a chance and stayed at the Douglas Inn. We found it clean, very comfortable, conveniently located near I-75, food and other amenities and also found it closer to town than the Quality Inn. We would stay at the hotel again and would recommend it to others. It deserves a more positive rating than is currently listed by some hotel reviewers posting with TripAdvisor.

I grew up in cleveland and had to stay in a hotel this holiday b/c of some damage to my mom's house. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful - the room was exceptionally clean and nice for the economical price. very comfy and clean!

My friend and I stayed one night. Got up the next morning and left for Pigeon Forge. Came back to Chattanooga where we already had reservations at another hotel closer to the church where we were attending a Perry Stone Conference for the week. Boy do I wish the Douglas Inn was closer to Hixson, Tn. I would definitely book again. Enjoyed the short stay. Accomadations were great.

This is our second stay in this hotel and we have been very pleased both times. It is very clean and the staff is friendly.

My husband and I were VERY pleased. Will definitely stay again if we are ever in the area.

Stayed for three nights and found everything to be quite satisfactory. No complaints...

Great for a short business stay.

Only negative I have is the bed linens. They were clean, but just the "itchy" kind of blanket. We did not eat the breakfast so can't really comment about it. Overall very pleased for the price.

Great value. Will stay there again. Close to I75.

This hotel was clean and convenient. Could use more vending machines for the late hours. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good, although the breakfast room was way too small. Could use a lounge downstairs for people to meet in. I have stayed here twice and as long as things stay the same or improve I will stay again.

The room was very clean and spacious. We asked for non-smoking room. The entire floor was non-smoking so there was NO smell of smoke at all. The breakfast was more than just cold cereal and pastries. Hotel was very close to many restaurants and not far from event we were attending. It was everything we were promised at time of reservation.

This hotel was clean and comfortable. The location is very good with access to the main street in Cleveland and easy access to restaurants. Nice helpful staff. I enjoyed my stay and would go again.

Clean, quiet, comfortable, and friendly.

In helping my elderly (80-year-old) parents book a hotel room in order to attend their granddaughteräs college graduation in Cleveland, I booked a double queen room at Douglas Inn and Suites. Before confirming the booking, I spoke personally (by phone) to the reception desk to make sure that they didn't get a room with an outside entrance (they would not have to be afraid of a robbery etc.) and also to make sure that their room would be on the second floor close to the elevator becausemy mother has mobility problems.. Since I booked early, the desk clerk said that there was no problem at all and that there such a room available and that she would make note of this on their reservation. Also, before booking, I copied pictures of the hotel rooms and facilities and sent them to my parents. All the pictures looked very nice and the room quality up to normal standards. My parents had to travel 12 hrs to reach Cleveland and were extremely tired when they arrived. To their shock, they were shown to a SHODDY room on the parking level with an outside entrance-Exactly what they specifically wanted to avoid. On their reservation, the desk clerk had written " close to the elevator"-but not even this was OK. The condition of the room itself was at best SHODDY. The bedspreads were worn and faded, the curtains, also worn and faded were not even all ttached to the hooks on the rod. The chair was faded, dingey and well-worn. The whole room itself showed poor up-keep and maintenance. As comfort goes, it was well-equipped with a refrigerator, mocrowave, iron/ironing board and hairdryer and also relatively clean. But what does that help when you are 80years old and afraid to go to sleep because your room door opens onto a parking lot and when you look out from the room you can see the sun shining in ALL AROUND the closed door, which means it is not insulated properly and perhaps not exactly a safety door! Going on to the bathroom. It was VERY small-no room for more than one person,

Room was large and clean, staff very accomadating. This wasn't the Ritz, but had all you could ask for at an incredible price. Breakfast was decent (waffles, bagels, cereal) and a nice sitting area was provided on the second floor. Definitely would stay here again. Easy drive to most Chattanooga attractions.

This is an older hotel that apparently has been remodeled fairly recently. When you walk into the lobby, you are overcome with a very strong smell of a cleaner or disinfectant. It is so strong it about makes your eyes water. The counter is so high that a person of my height (5'3") can hardly reach it to sign the necessary paperwork. The appearance of the registration desk area makes you wonder if you have made a mistake in your choice of hotels as it is not very nice and the strong smell makes you wonder what they are trying to kill with that strong of a disinfectant. We were pleasantly surprised to see our rooms. They were neat & clean and the furnishings were nice also. The beds were good as well. We feel if they would update the entrance and lobby area and get rid of that strong odor, it would be a nice place to stay for the money.

Stayed here on our way to Alabama. Hotel was convenient, comfortable and just the way I expected it to be. Would definitely stay here again.

Room was clean and bed was good. Only problem was the sitting chair in the room, it was ready to fall apart, loose and wobbly. It remained intact during our brief visit, but don't know about the next guest.

The room was was nothing fancy, but very clean. Great for an over night stay. The bathroom was very spacious. The staff (AM and PM) was very friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

This was a very affordable hotel It was very clean. The only negative thing, my 77 year old mother had a hard time getting on the bed because it sits so high.

Very clean and neat, next to Cracker barrel and gas and a couple of other places to eat. It is great if you need a place to stay, not a large fancy lobby or meeting area or anything, but has all the basics. Was on the second floor - access from the lobby. First floor rooms open to the outside. Would definitly stay here again.

The motel is nice enough. Our room was recently renovated and was as good as could be expected. My sister-in-law got a better price at the same place but she probably dealt directly with the motel staff because she makes frequent trips to Cleveland, TN. I didn't have a direct phone number so I had to deal with some reservation service somewhere else. The breakfaxt didn't have a lot of variety but it was alright for a snack. The coffee was good too.

My stay was a pleasant experience while visiting for college graduation. We had five rooms booked and everyone had positive things to stay. Beds are queen size instead of full and were very comfortable. Having a fridge and microwave in the room was very convenient. Staff was very friendly and most accommodating. Low water pressure in the shower but that's pretty much expected at most hotels. Overall experience was very good.

The hotel was "under renovations" which made the small lobby look even smaller and made the breakfast area more of an obstacle course than a relaxing start to the day. My room was sizable and clean - housekeeping did a great job over my 4 night stay. Building maintenance was lacking significantly. The outside door to the room was not secure and had to slam in order to get it to latch. (I'm pretty sure the neighbors didn't enjoy that). The toilet, although clean, was not secured to the floor and bounced around quite a bit when sitting or standing. I did mention these things to the front desk, and the next day the maintenance man let himself into our room unannounced WHILE WE WERE IN THE ROOM! So, it seems as though they are trying to make progress but still have some ground to cover. Clean & Comfortable - YES. Professional & well maintained - NO.

This was a good, clean, "convenient to highway" stop with friendly, helpfull staff at a reasonable price. A good place to stop and spend the night. A good (Cracker Barrel) restaurant within walking distance.

We found the Inn to be very nice. The employees were kind and courteous and the room was clean and comfortable. The Inn is close to the University that our daughter attends which makes it convenient for us. We will definitely be coming back again to stay.

The Douglas Inn is a very safe and clean choice if you want to save money.It is in a convenient location and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I am a return customer and will use this hotel again for my business travels.

It was ok for the one night that we were there. If it had been a longer stay we would have checked out and stayed elsewhere.

The first floor rooms have doors that open to parking lot. Lots of noise and light/air gets in. The airconditioner/heater is one where you have to set "low or high" heat and it runs continually. Breakfeast wasn't much to write home about, and the room is very tiny to sit in anyhow.

While this hotel has a "few miles" on it, I found that my room was clean and the front desk staff was extremely helpful and cordial. The bed was very comfortable. The only problem that I had was a tiny one - the TV remote needed new batteries. Sometimes I had to give it a shake to get it working. At check-out the next morning, I forgot to tell the front desk about it - but meant to.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable, convenient to interstate and in a safe area. I will definitely stay there again.

we always stay here on our way south, it is convenient to the expressway, the staff is friendly and helpful, for a small fee my dog is welcome. the mattresses seemed new, and were very comfortable. the wifi worked as did the mini fridge. we are always happy with our stay.

We really enjoyed out stay at Douglas Inn--the beds were very comfortable, the room very clean and service good. Loacation was also good-Cracker Barrel right behind it, and close to shopping and restaurants. Frig and microwave nice to have also. Price was great for all that we had. Thanks! We'll definitely stay again.
