Ocean Hotel - كوانج تشو

Good location for metro and shops. Across road bridge is good arabic/mediterainian restaurant (The Secret Garden). Hotel is doing some renovation, in April-2012 around floor 9 (we moved from 8th to 24th floor to avoid the noise)

I stayed for 2 weeks at the Ocean Hotel. No frills but clean and friendly staff as compared to other chinese hotels. Gym and pool are poorly maintained. I would stay there again.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I will explain a little of what happened to me. Because the hotels pool was not available to use, the hotel offered to send me a VIP fruit basket to compensate me. When the fruit basket did not arrive, I went out to the hallway thinking it was left outside my room. When I saw the chambermaid receive a phone call on her cell phone, it struck me as curious, so I followed her as she walked to her cleaning cart. From the bottom of the cart she pulled up a plastic garbage bag, then walked to the staff room, and emptied the bag of FRUIT, into a basket and preceeded to follow me back to my room to deliver my fruit basket!!!! Disgusting!!! Not only was my fruit in a plastic bag, the chamber maid also touched it with her hands as she attempted to arrange the fruit in the basket. And above that the fruit was all bruised and scarred. When finally the Assitant Manager brought me a new fruit basket, the fruit was still old. The best part of service at this hotel was the very nice gentlemen at the door.

Ocean hotel is very clean, with welcoming professional staff. Many of the front office desk staff can speak English, and are polite. I booked the Deluxe room for 10 nights. After check-in, I realised that the room allocated on the 5th floor looks out directly unto the roof of a lower-rise adjourning building - no view at all. If you book a Deluxe room, ensure you stay on the 7th floor, at least! My request for a room change was politely accomodated... Hotel decor: The entrance and reception are of very good quality; however some floors look rather dated and carpets for the deluxe rooms/floors need changing. If staying for more than a few nights, it is cheaper to get a local SIM card. C-Store near the hotel sells top-up credit. Location: The hotel is within 5 minutes walk to both Ouzhuang and Taojin metro stations. Taxis are also a fairly cheap way of getting around, and can easily be found outdise the hotel. Food: There are good choices of restaurants near the hotel e.g Spanish, Italian, Indian, Mediterranean and Chinese. These are all close to Garden Hotel, and within 10 minute walk from Ocean hotel.

Good Location, walking distance to MRT, Clean, Reasonably priced.

nice hotel nearby twio indian restaurants- haveli and punjabi. haveli is near holiday inn lobby,and punjabi is on the way from ocean hotel to garden hotel. central area near by to shopping malls and electronic goods malls, service of the hotel is not great but ok. breakfast is poor you have to include choices of western food equal to chinese food. isee many western travellers so breakfast should be in sync to western custoomers also

My second time at this hotel and pretty comfortable stay. Everything was running smoothly - service , staff , food and one bad experience marred it all. My friend and i decided to go to the hair salon on the ground floor of the hotel for a hair wash and a blow dry. They quoted us 100 RMB for the same. We agreed not knowing what the going rate was. As soon as i went in for my wash, my friend noticed the rates up on the wall in one corner where the cost for the service requested was only 40RMB. when we questioned they said we had to pay them 100 RMB as we agreed the rates and next thing they did was create a big scene . We requested the hotel manager to intervene, but all she did was talk to the salon staff and repeat the same to us. Basically she was of no help! So next time ensure you check the rates carefully for anything!

I have traveled to China and other asian countries many times. By chance I came across this Hotel last minute. I have never been so taken care of by a staff over in China at a four star hotel so well as Ocean Hotel. The first day there my computer broke, and their staff helped me get my new one through customs. They helped me daily for a week at their business center, aided me in finding the right shops to go to for translation books, and hardware accessories. Plus, the rooms are spotless, modern comfortable. Most importantly although is that the staff is happy. Genuinely return smiles and had a lot of patience with my needs. They also had a lot of humility when treating someone who did not speak their language and never became frustrated or short with me. Really good hotel management style!

ちょっと、気になったのですが、チェックアウトの際、何人も並んでいましたが、一人しか対応せず、他のスタッフはおしゃべりしてました。もう少し考えてほしいと思います。

値段が安い割にはとてもよかったです。また滞在しますので宜しくお願いいたします。

安価の割には良いホテルです。次回も宜しくお願いいたします。

On checking in,I was not satisfied with the room,especially the washroom and the locaion of the room,behind two lifts and next to where the housekeeping staff were,it is just too annoying.I checked in 2:00pm and asked if there was another room. The reply was just a standard one,the hotel was fully booked,the rate I paid was just for this "type" of room. One night at 11:15pm,it was very noisy with the housekeeping staff banging the room repeatedly. The room where the housekeeping staff stayed was not closed and the phone was ringing as loud as if it was in my room itself.I complained to the reception.But after that the doors keep on banging loudly a few times more adn he housekkepig staff talking loudly.I called the reception again around 11:40pm and even made the case to the hotel manager.But at 12:15am the doors were banging again and to my surprise,I heard "something" falling hardly on hard floor twice .Then I called the reception again and requested the hotel manager to come up to the floor and solve the issue. That means I callled the reception 3 times and the hotel manager within one hour to stop the nuisance. First the hotel management needs much further training.

ES UN BUEN HOTEL CON BUENA UBICACION, MUY CENTRAL CERCA DE LOS SITIOS IMPORTANTES DE LA CIUDAD, ESTA A 5 MINUTOS DEL METRO (CAMINANDO), LAS HABITACIONES SON LIMPIAS, EN GENERAL ES UN BUEN HOTEL Y BUEN PRECIO.

O hotel é altamente recomendável, estrutura fisica e humana invejavel. Atendimento cordial, prestativo, em especial nos restaurantes , recepção e demais dependencias. Decoração moderna, leve e de extremo bom gosto.

Actually I don't know what to say... First of all, security control in the hotel after 11pm is very irritating, consider when the security can't speak enough English to ask what he wants. However, one of the hotel staff helped me a lot in search of an open pharmacy after midnight, we walked around an hour. Also keep in mind that in the hotel there is not medicine even for a simple headache.
