Madinah Moevenpick Hotel - المدينة المنورة

Definitely not a 5 star hotel when compared to European/western hotels. But when compared to Arab/middle eastern hotels I would give it a 4 star. Majority of staff are very helpful

Location is 3-5 mins walk to the mosque, you have to cross 1 major road. Hotel is comfortable and service is ok. Breakfast could have more choice. Even though I had no issues I would not stay there again as there are closer hotels with similar standards at similar prices.

As I had booked this hotel for one night stay, I reached hotel at 2 pm but I was asked to wait as the rooms were not vacant. I had to wait for more than one hour till I was shown way to mt room. Interestingly the house keeping staff was still cleaning the room when we entered. Early morning we got a paper from under the door asking us to check out by 12 noon. it is by my request that the reception staff agreed for 2pm. Otherwise hotel is well located for easy access to Masjid Nabwi,. Breakfast was nice indeed.

Hotel is great but ppl with kids or elderly beware that there r 2 Moevenpick hotels in madian. the AL ANWAR AL MADINA MOEVENPICK is different than this Moevenpick hotel. this hotel has 7 mins walk and ladies, ppl with kids, or elderly people be aware that it would worth to spend extra bucks and book the other moevenpick or hotels that r just enfront of Masjid e Nabawi. Ladies entrance is further on the opposite site from where this hotel is.

Thanks Madina Movenpick staff although I got confused between this hotel and Movenpick Hotel. Sometimes closer names are picky. Overall, the hotel was comfortable and staff was friendly.

This hotel is as unprofessional as any 2 star hotel in madinah. I pre-booked a king size room and was shocked to find out they gave away my room to someone else. They tried to trick me into a small room with 2 single beds combined together and calling it a king bed, but i refused and they ended up giving me a double bed room that was booked for someone else. I dont recommend this hotel at all.

Actually, we booked the wrong hotel! We have wanted to stay at the other Movenpick mainly because of location to Masjid Nabawi plus good experience during previous trip. Therefore, we arrived at this particular hotel without high expectations. Surprised to find out that this one was also convenient with short walking distance within the Masjid's vicinity. More shocking was the room - very spacious suite with 2 bathrooms for a family of 4. Beyond our expectations. Definitely value for money. Not much of a view facing the city but lots of windows to brighten up the room. It would be great if the room is also equipped with tea making facility and iron with ironing board. We tried calling housekeeping but no answer, probably because it was almost midnight. Not that critical so we didn't ask reception to help send up those items. Another plus point on location is the adjacent shopping mall which opens until 12 am on Thursdays. Check-in was a breeze with friendly staff and welcoming drinks served at the counter. Fast room service although lesser food selection after midnight. Parking was a bit frustrating though. There were limited numbers and was informed normally fully occupied during weekends. Luckily we found a spot on a slip road beside the hotel. Overall, we have certainly enjoyed our short stay at Madinah Movenpick.

Madinah Movenpick Hotel is convenient to visitors who want be close the prophet Muhammad Mosque it's only five minutes walk away I'll not hesitate to recommend it to any body going to Madinah Munawarah

We enjoyed the stay at this hotel. A little pricey, but very comfortable. Staff is very helpful and efficient.

We had a chance to stay both at Makkah and Medina movenpick. Although some experienced staff their best to keep up pace but overall staff are arrogant and rude especially Movenpick manager in Medina. The rooms were not ready even though arrived late, room service does not exist. We ordered breakfast for kids, eggs with toast but toast was not there, reason they are out of bread!. Wanted an iron, which turned up after 10 calls and then we were told we have an hour to use it!. Sahoor (breaking fast) the restaurants would never re-fill empty dishes unless you request them and that too after they have taken their own sweet time. The only good thing was location its 2 mins from the holy mosque. Be careful when you book they are two movenpick hotels on the same road but they are at opposite ends of the road.

The stay is very good, I lose one meal because I check in late @ 4 AM morning time.

At the booking time we were not aware that there are two Movenpick hotels near Haram at Madinah. We wee used to the area on the opposite side of Baqee on the side of Daral Taqwa, Oberoi etc. The Taxi driver dumped us to the furthest hotel which has not only cost a disorientation, exhaustion due to excessive walking and other health complications. The hotel management seemed to have been running on an "auto pilot" with fewer english speaking people at reception and the rest looked like a trainee.

The hotel is very clean and attractive. The breakfast was amazingly brilliant with too many varieties. The staff was very helpful and understanding. I received daily phone calls from the room services asking me if I need anything in my room. I recommend it to any one and is good value for money

Toilet in room was broken, called for a plumber, no one showed up. Had to use other public hotel toilet. Extra bed for the listed third person was broken, we were offered a replacement but for a fee. Very disappointed.

Positives: -friendly Saudi reception staff. -Parking availability. -business center. -clean rooms & toilets. -Breakfast. -about 500m from men gates of Prophet Masjid. -ask for late check out. -shopping area. Negatives: -about 850m from women gates of Prophet Masjid. -you have to wait about half an hour for check in, but you will get sometomes upgraded room more than booked rate.

Très bon hotel bien situé, personnel très serviable et agréable, très bon rapport qualité prix je le recommande vivemenyt à tous et à toutes.
