We enjoyed the comfort and location of the Holiday Suites. The rooms were clean, serviced and the hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful on directing... us to everything. We walked everywhere to site see however there is plenty of transportation available through train, bus or cab. There are plenty of cafe's, restaurants and min marts for quick supplies so we could eat in the room if wanted. The major shopping district for tourist was located below the Acropolis along with a beautiful village area of quaint homes and busy streets filled with wonderful outdoor dining areas and shops. We walked from the top of the Acropolis to this shopping area called the "Plaka" and then back down the hill to the city and finally back to our hotel. My husband and I are very active people at the age of 50 and this was a comfortable day trip for us. Our experience here at the Holiday Suites was so awesome because the stay was well worth the money and the location was prime. You can also take advantage of the Crown Plaza fitness center and pool facilities which we did and it was only a 5 minute walk away. I highly recommend the Holiday Suites and would definitely stay there again even after seeing all of the other so called high end Hotels in the area.. We dont travel abroad to sit in our room all day but when we come back from a day on foot, we do want a comfortable place to lounge around and have the convenience of stepping back out the door to close by eateries.
