Best Western Yacht Harbor Hotel - سان دييجو

The hotel was adequate and the location convenient for the event I attended. The price was reasonable. I appreciated the free continental breakfast. The breakfast room--an interior room without windows--is small and was crowded both days I was there. Alternate seating is in the more pleasant lobby with windows! Also at this Best Western, unlike at other BWs where I've stayed, the towels noticeably scratchy, not soft, are either old or require different laundering.

When we checked in last night our niece crawled into bed without us checking out the bed. When she got up in the middle of the night we found there was dried blood on the sheets. We complained in the morning and asked for immediate service to clean the room and put new sheets on a sanitized bed. They promised it would be done immediately. Late afternoon we returned to the room after our event and the room had not been cleaned. Housekeeping hadn't even been informed of our complaint to the front desk. When we went back to the front desk to complain again we mentioned the bloody sheets and the desk clerk said "Oh room 512." Ummm no, we were in room 607. So obviously there is a health risk in this hotel. We will be complaining to the County Board of Health as well. Avoid this hotel!

The first room we were given smelled strongly of pet urine, so we asked to be moved. That room smelled fine, and it was very comfortable. Breakfast was free--waffles, cereal, yogurt ,boiled eggs, juice, coffee, etc. we chose this hotel for its free shuttle from airport, and to cruise terminal. We were pleasantly surprised that the bed was comfortable. Limited restaurants nearby, but food was tasty. Overall this was a nice place and I would stay here again.

Zach, our driver of the shuttle was awesome and so were the front desk people who escorted us into the shuttle when we left. the value was great and it was a convenient location. Thanks for the great stay.

We enjoyed our stay. The location was good and the staff was very helpful.

I enjoyed my stay very much. The patio was huge and to the left I had a very nice view of the habour!! My fiance proposed during our stay also :)

Great hotel for the money

Super comfortable king bed, updated interior. It was close to the airport & cruise ship terminal, which was key for us. Dining and great area for taking walks right across the street. Shuttle to cruise ship terminal and aiport/rental car depot at no extra cost. Highly recommended, would stay there again!

This is the best you are going to get for a best western. Service was super friendly and helpful, Rooms were very clean, and it's an easy 20-30 minute drive to most attractions. 5-10 minutes from some. Stay was the last week in April. Cons: not much, maybe a little loud from road traffic but not too bad.

It was good. Plenty of close parking spaces, free. They need to have healthier bread/bagels for breakfast. Not just white sliced bread.

This is a no frills hotel

Checking in was easy and the hotel staff super friendly and helpful. We had a group of 14 and they got us rooms close to each other. The beds were so nice and comfortable. And those of us that didn't sleep through it loved the continental breakfast, waffles were a favorite. We had no trouble with noise and will definately stay here again when in the area. Very close to gaslamp district, and nice view of harbor from our balcony. Loved it. The outside does not look as nice as the photos, but inside the rooms are great!!

We loved the front desk personnel. Daniel was really nice and helpful. We paid extra for the harbor view, but it is not worth the money because the street was always busy and loud.

We reserved 2 queens and were initially given a king and when we asked to change it they insisted they didn't have another room, even though our booking said 2 queens. They finally got us another room but only after we pushed the issue. Very clean but a lot of outside noise.

had a Avery nice stay. the only complaint was the wifi. Half the time it wasn't working.

My husband and I needed a place to stay for the night, clean and affordable. It was just that. We had a pleasant view of the harbor, clean King bed, spacious room and free parking was great. For the biggest bang for your buck, not a bad place to stay. It does need updating and the pillows are terrible but they are minor. Would definitely return.

The hotel staff was nice and helpful, the room was clean but it did need updating some what. The only real problem we had was the traffic noise that comes from the street in front of the hotel. We asked for the water view and it was technically a water view... if you look past the road and the building/restaurants you will then see some boats on the water. I hate it when people complain in reviews about the dumbest things so I only want to point out the main problems we had which were not major at all. Overall I would stay there again just requesting a room away from the traffic.

This was hotel was located right across the street from the harbor but the traffic noise was awful. The waffle maker at breakfast was broken and the staff at the front desk was not friendly or personable at all

Found this hotel to be more than adequate, at a reasonable price. Road noise OK but might have been a bit quieter. Location was great in terms of closeness to airport. Nice "neighborhood." Would stay here again for the price.

This BW is located on a busy street, but off street parking is free and you can easily walk across the road to the shopping/dining area along the water. We had a nice dinner outside at Jimmy's Famous, very good. Hotel is close to Sea World too (5 miles or so). The hotel pool area is so so, it is on the street side which is not ideal, the pool was cold and the hot tub always full of people, sometimes a bit rowdy. The rooms are okay, nothing great, could use a good cleaning especially the carpets throughout the hotel, very dirty and stained--just stay off the floor. Free breakfast was the typical but good fare for BW chain --very crowded late morning. Staff were nice and accommodating. Recommend for families with kids, couples looking for quiet or romance should stay elsewhere.

The rooms are quite nicely decorated, well-equipped and comfortable. The main problem is that there is a lot of street noise due to the large wall-to-wall / floor-to-ceiling windows, and also some noise from other rooms. The rooms are also on the small side (albeit different sizes). The neighbourhood is fairly nice with good restaurants and a pleasant marina environment. Access to downtown and the beaches / Mission Bay is good. Parking is good. Service was friendly and efficient. On the whole a pleasant stay, would come again.

My sister and I spent four days here in March. The location was just great. The room was very nice, and the staff was wonderful! I recommend this hotel. We will definitely go back.

We were there for 4 nights and we found the staff friendly and helpful. Parking is convenient and free. Breakfast was also free and plentiful for our family of 4 including 2 teens. Easy to get to a lot of attractions. Only thing we didn't like is the beds were extremely firm and the room was a bit noisy ( though not intolerable. Overall a pleasant stay at a good value.

Booked 4 months ago thru Hotels .com , 2 queen beds . When we got there we were given the tiniest room with 1 double bed for 3 people . Questioned this , and were told that thats all we had left , and booking a double is "only a request" . They realise that a rollawaybed would not fit , so gave us a slightly bigger room , 1 king , which just fitted the rollaway in . A veyi inadequate situation . I cant help thinking that if we booked through the hotel direct we would have recieved what we paid for . Breakfast was good

Not for families, but okay for a night and price

The hotel was conveniently located near the airport, Gaslamp District and Balboa Park. The nearby restaurants were nice and offered a wide variety of choices. The beds were very comfortable, one of the most comfortable we've slept in for that price. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My mother really loved the freshly baked chocolate chip cookies - nice touch!

We found the Best Western Yacht Harbor Hotel to be a nice place for the price. There was traffic noise outside our room, but still slept great in the comfy bed. Love the lay-out of the hotel and the fact they offer a nice breakfast and have a fitness center. Met some nice people in the jacuzzi. We'd definitely stay here again.

Convenient location. Room was fine althrough little small. Everything else was perfect. Breakfast was fine too. I love the location so will use it again. Parking was free on roof. Little awkward to get into, but you get used to after a couple of trips in and out. Staff was o.k. The girl on the counter also helped us with getting change for street parking when we were going to the riverfront.

The first room they put us in we were pretty surprised to find someone else in the room. I'm just glad they weren't present when we walked in. A complete surprise! A lot of traffic noise. Other than that the stay was comfortable and convenient.

Good value for money,with pleasant outlook over harbour.Friendly service and free breakfast. They even paid our taxi fare from airport.

The hotel was clean and the room was nice, but it was the balcony's weren't sealed properly and you could hear all the traffic all night long. Also we needed a shuttle to the airport, but they don't start the shuttle until 8am and when we got our shuttle back from the Cruise Terminal we were load #3 so we had to wait for an hour. The staff was friendly though...

Good location on Harbor Drive, across from marina and close to airport, this hotel is OK...room was small and quite spare but clean. I called from airport for shuttle but was told to take a cab as the shuttle only runs from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. I missed the last shuttle because my plane was late. There was no re-imbursement from the hotel. Desk clerk was neither friendly nor helpful. I'd recommend this place as a one-nighter because of its location, definitely not for amenities...

The staff was VERY nice and helpful. Room was clean and bed and pillows were. Very comfortable. Right across the street from the harbor and walking distance from several restaurants, dounut shop, and convenience store. Heated pool and hot tub a bonas :) we had a problem with our shower, and once reported, the manager immediately transferred us to another room that was perfect. Great service!!

The hotel is located on a main street and all rooms face it. There's also the pool which was right outside our small balcony. Our room was right near the elevator as well so it was a rather noisy night. The beds were comfortable and it worked but I wouldn't stay again. I would also recommend that the hotel owner have their carpets cleaned..

Booked this room for one night only as my flight out of SAN early the next morning. Very friendly staff and clean rooms. Highly recommended. Will definitely consider this hotel when staying for a longer time in SD.

Over a recent 3 day weekend, had the pleasure of staying at the Best Western Yacht Harbor Hotel in San Diego. I found the hotel staff to be very friendly and helpful, rooms clean and nice, and a perfectly located to all San Diego has to offer. Nicely done, Best Western!

I would recommend this hotel to others. My complaints were very small. First, the airport shuttle only runs 8am to 8pm and not every day. When we checked in they didn't have a driver on so had to pay for a taxi but they did reimburse. When we wanted to go back to the airport, it was too early for their drivers and we had to pay for our own taxi. Public transportation isn't cheap out there so that's a $15 ride. Hotel isn't in a bad location but isn't really close to much so unless you have a car, it's difficult and expensive. The hotel itself though was clean and the staff was nice.

The hotel was very clean in a quiet location but still near to eating establishments to walk to. It was easy to get to the things we were going to do as they were also on Harbor Drive. Breakfast was good and the young man taking care of it kept everything stocked and tables cleaned off promptly. We would deffinately stay there again.

The location is ideal. Very close to the airport, but far enough away so you don't hear the jet engines. The shuttle ended up being a farce.....non existent when I needed a ride to the motel in the early evening and then non existent when I needed a ride to the airport in the morning! So much for saying that was a hotel service. It cost me ten bucks each way to get to the hotel and airport which I hadn't planned on. The parking is different too....there isn't a charge for parking a car, but you have to drag your luggage up or down stairs to get to the lobby to get an elevator! Also my room was in a non smoking area and I smelled cigarette smoke in the hall. The hotel was pretty clean though and at least some of the staff was helpful and friendly (not the morning lady who told me she couldn't guarantee that the shuttle driver would show up, and when I told her the man who worked the night before told me different, she simply said well I wasn't working last night and then ignored me). It was reasonably priced though, and had a good sized frig and even a microwave in the room, although the room was quite small (but it was just myself, so not a problem). I might stay there again, but next time I won't be expecting their shuttle to be available for airport transportation.
