The only downside of the hotel is that on the ground floor there is a night club. Since I stayed in the hotel on a week-end and on the first floor the music played in the club could be heard inside the room. Otherwise the hotel was really nice.

Once you get past the boutique element of this hotel aka the cricket sound in the corridors and dark ambience I did start to question the quality of the hotel. Don't get me wrong it is a nice enough place to stay, very small and cosy, which I like but there are down sides to it. The cafe area provided limited food/drinks and to be honest the hotel staff were OK but not exactly welcoming, more like pre programmed robots who showed no warmth upon my arrival or a request for something. As you may or may not know Sweden is outrageously expensive and the hotel fits right in there with tiny sandwiches on offer at around £5 with low alcohol "stubby" beers costing around the same, a couple of sandwiches and a few of those beers cost me the thick end of £45. On the plus side the hotel is in a great location and the bed in the room was great. TIP:- Request a room over looking the front of the hotel / The Avenue.

Very smart and nice hotel, excellent breakfast and suyper location. The single rooms are very small, but cozy. If staying longer, choose a larger room! Strongly recommended! Personal style and informal atmosphere. Professor of Entrepreneurship

This hotel is a New York style hotel, very small rooms but convenient! For the price I think this was great! By they way, while in Gothenburg you don't need to spend so much time in the room - there is so much other things to do.

We stayed in a 'Stravaganza' room at the Mornington over a weekend in October. The hotel is located right on Avenyn, which late night on Fri & Sat appears to be THE place to be in Gothenburg. If you're looking for a quiet secluded location this isn't it. We found it great however at everything we needed was within a 15 minute walk. The hotel is very stylish, and very safe. The reception is also a smart coffee shop, but you have to use your room key to activate the lifts so no chance of any strangers wandering around. The styling of the place was fab, all low lighting & green velvet touches. Due to the room we booked, we also had free coffee for the duration of the stay, bathrobes/slippers nice toiletries... all lovely touches. Oh! There are even funky design books scattered about the lounge to read whilst you kick back & have a latte. Overall, brilliant, would stay again.

Located where the action is. Rooms small, in need of some servicing. Bathroom sink was leaking and there is no fridge or other appliances.

Loved this hotel, couldn't fault it - right in the centre of town, friendly staff, comfortable rooms, lush shower! Stayed in a twin room, view was of the building next door but didn't really matter as not in room much, wasn't noisy, breakfast was in a restaurant next door, really good - all the usual continental choice. Would definitely go back and would reccommend :)

Nice little hotel. Exceptional location.

stayed in the petit chic room. petit is apt to describe the small room! It was however clean and had amenities - internet, movies etc. The location is ideal for a first time visitor to goteborg - smack in the middle of everything.

They upgraded me when I arrived, which may be true for all guests. Nice shower, typically tiny European room, comfy bed. There were complimentary tea bags (good blends, too!) and biscotti. Downstairs there was coffee and chocolate for the top price upgraded guests. The breakfast buffet was great: juices, good cheese, both white and grainy breads, a variety of cold meats, bacon and eggs, lots of yogurts, tons of fruit, nuts,preserves, butter, etc. Plenty of coffee with hot or cold milk. They woke me at 3 for my 6 am flight. They helped me find the ferry to the archipelago. They spoke English fluently. Quiet, even though full and though located on the street with the most clubs. I'd go again.

Great hotel, on the main street so close to everything. Easy to get to on the bus from airport with airport coach. Staff were really friendly and that has stuck out in my mind since returning. If only all hotel staff were so helpful and polite. Multi-lingual too, so no issue with speaking English. Definitely recommended.

Great quali

My first time to Gothenburg, so i can't compare to other hotels there, but the hotel was very clean, the food was good, it is in a superb location, and the staff was excellent. It's in an old building with an attached pub and an attached restaurant, and is on THE street in the city. I'll stay there again in a heartbeat if I return.

I arrived at the hotel just after 12:00. The staff were very friendly and even offered a choice of room with in the hotel. The room was a ‘petit chic’ with a single bed, quite small but comfortable. There is little wardrobe space, but the room had all the essentials. The lighting in the bathroom is not the best for shaving, but it’s clean. I have stayed at the hotel before in a double room. Apart from the bed he double room was not much bigger, but again adequate for my purposes. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and will stay there again.

I made special time to write this review because I have never been to a hotel in my travels that inspired me to write. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this charming hotel. The rooms are clean, staff is friendly. There is a lovely welcoming 'calm' when you enter the doors. I was traveling as a single female for work, and was happy to see there was plenty of restaurants and bars very close neighbours, I didn't have to go far to eat or drink. The hotel I believe is very reasonably priced for everything it offers. I liked the hotel so much that I decided to come back again on my last night in the city. I highly recommend!! I don't think they would ever disappoint!

The hotel was very conveniently located. The rooms were fine if a little bit small, it was clean and had everything in it you would need. Breakfast was very good, with a nice selection of hot and cold food. People working at the hotel and restaurant were helpful. I will definitely book this hotel again.

We stayed here for two nights on our way to Stockholm. It had a ''boutique" hotel feel with a cool reception area. The room was nicely decorated with a modern feel. We slept in many other hotels and beds prior to this stop and I had the best sleep at this hotel. Their bed was so comfortable that I didn't wake up with a backache like the rest. I would stay here again!

Good location, tiny rooms, comfortable beds, excellent breakfast.

I had a Petit Chic room which is chic but very petit! It was comfortable but small. The breakfast was reasonable but not great. It could do with more choice of fruit such as berries etc which are usually available in Scandinavia. The location is great as there are a lot of restaurants on the same street with some just outside the door.

Right in town. Close to many attractions and dining within walking distance.

I was in Göteborg for work and this hotel was perfect. Great location for walking and public transit, inc. the airport bus. The rooms are small (mine was a "petit chic") but very well appointed, comfortable, and clean - with spacious desks and good internet access. I would definitely stay here again.

the hotel was great - it is centraly located, on a strret with lots of restarunts and bars (if you are light slippers you should ask for an interior room). I was at a "staravaganza" room that was made for two people, for one person it was enough, but for 2 its rather small. it has a nice bath-tub and the most amazing bath products - no kidding, it has the best shampoo and conditioner i have ever tried! at stravaganza room i got free mineral water, tea, cookies and a free drinks and pastries at the cafe - it was nice. the breakfast is fine, kept me untill dinner. in short - great hotel, great location!

Service and comfort are great, staff is very helpful, the rooms are small but absolutely comfortable, very nicely furnished and the whole place has a unique design. I enjoyed the stay very much and would definitely recommend this place to everyone going to Gothenburg !!!

Was extremely convenient. A great walking city. Lots of very good restaurants. The room was small but clean and efficient. Breakfast was wonderful.

If you want to be right in the heart of things this is the best location in Gothenburg. Very smart room (101) but strangely no wardrobe only a few hooks on the wall. Probably why it was the cheapest room available.

Centralt men ligger mellan många restauranger bl.a. Burger King som gör att steklukt anades i rummet. Blev värre när man öppnade fönstret. Jag bodde på 3e våningen. Dessutom ligger hard rock café precis bredvid så man får vara beredd på att höra musik sent inpå natten.

Vähän vanhahtava hotelli, ei ihan neljää tähteä ansaitsisi. Huone oli tumma ja synkkä. Ja olisi voinut olla isompi koska meillä oli paljon matkatavaraa. 3 yötä oli kyllä maksimi siinä pienessä huonessa. Lentokenttäbussipysäkille aika pitkä matka. Raitiovaunuliikenne kulkee ikkunan alta ja lähin pysäkki on n. 100 m päässä. Viereinen yökerho häiritsi nukkumista mutta muuten hyvät vuoteet ja runsaasti tyynyjä. Tee- ja kahvinkeittomahdollisuus huoneessa oli ihan hyvä juttu. Keskeinen sijainti. Henkilökunta oli ok.

Hôtel bien situé dans le centre de Gothenburg. Les chambres sont petites, minimalistes, mais très confortables. Manque cependant d'éclairage dans la chambre. Buffet très varié pour le petit déjeuner.

Veldig sentralt og praktisk beliggende hotell. Hadde lite chic petite singelrom inn mot bakgård, og dette var veldig stille og behagelig. De små singelrommene er veldig små, så her er det ikke mye man kan foreta seg egentlig, men rent og trivelig. Dersom man kommer med privat bil, er det garasje i hotellets kjeller, men til en pris av 240 kr pr døgn. Alternativt kan man parkere på åpen sentral parkering Heden til ca 150 kr døgnet, men vil ikke anbefale dette, da tyveri ofte forekommer. Jeg fikk knust ene ruten i bakdøra på bilen her. Altså for dyrt tilrettelagt for bil når man bor på hotellet, etter min mening.

Stilig hotel om du liker det litt anereldes med moderne design. Knallgod frokost med godt utvalg og hyggelig lokale. Perfekt beliggenhet midt i sentrum. Verdt pengene!

Vi har bodd på Mornington i Stockholm og var kjempefornøyde med det, men Mornington Gøteborg kan ikke sammenlignes. Hotellets fremste egenskap er den geografiske beliggenheten. Dessverre har hotellet nattklubb i første etg., som spilte plagsomt høy musikk til klokken fem om morgenen (vi investerte i ørepropper). Rommet var usedvanlig trangt, uten skap og minibar og knapt nok plass til bagasjen vår. Rommet (og hotellet generelt) var mørkt - mørkt interiør og dårlig belysning - og rengjøringen helt midt på treet (støv i hjørner, lange hår på badet etc.). Resepsjonen er liten og trang, servicen ok, men de spilte overaskende høy musikk. Dette har ikke noe å si når man bar går fort gjennom, men ble plagsomt når vi stod i inn- og utsjekkingskø, for eksempel. Frokostpersonalet utstrålte en noe passiv-agressiv holdning og så ganske uflidde ut der de tasset rundt i grå joggebukse og tights - de eneste som hadde noe som lignet på uniform var værelsespikene (den mannlige resepsjonisten var mer opptatt av å se kul enn ordentlig ut, noe som bidro til sjuskete inntrykk). Frokostenbuffeten var stor, men ganske dårlig tilberedt (kald og vond kaffe, svidd bacon, kjipt brød, utvannet juice etc.) og servert av noen som (tilsynelatende) overhodet ikke brydde seg (frokosten på Mornington i Stockholm var fantastisk, så det preger nok vår oppfatning). hver for seg har ikke dette så mye å si for et hotellopphold, men samlet sett gjorde disse tingene at vi ikke ble så imponerte over dette hotellet.

perfekt beliggenhet på nedre avenyen, få minutters gange til shopping og uteliv. Koselige rom, noe støy fra gaten hvis man får rom ut mot avenyen. For å være et så koselig hotell har de alt for kjedelig frukost. Det trekker ned.

Tog ett litet rum som dock var relativt stort för att tillhöra kategorin små rum. Rummet var också snyggt och tyst. Frukosten var dock inte alls imponerande, för att vara på ett bättre hotell. Servicen imponerande inte heller, personalen bör givetvis utstråla både vänlighet och vilja att hjälpa.

Generelt var rommet tilfredstillende. Rommet var i minste laget. Jeg savnet en mini-bar på rommet.

Tyvärr var relaxen uthyrd under min vistelse. Det är nog mycket fint annars.
