Best Western Plus Hotel Das Tigra - فيينا

This is a fantastic location, near all the major sites in the center of the ring road. Not far from the U-Bann and close to St. Stephans and walking distance to the Imperial Palace. The room was modern and clean and neat. A bit small but room enough for me. There was a sitting area, a desk and flat screen TV. Its cool that Mozart had lived there many years ago. I was here in April and the AC was not yet on, but it was OK with the windows open. I must warn you that if you are going to open the windows over night there is a club next door that gets quite noisy over night. The staff was friendly and helpful and the daily breakfast was fantastic. Lots of choices, eggs, cereal, tea, coffee, meats, cheese, breads....It is a great time saver in the morning, and money saver. Overall a great stay.

Pleasant stay,lovely location,lovely breakfast and nice staff(though I have met friendlier hotel staff!!)... Room had small cramped toilet but very clean. The room itself had poor WiFi and Ikea like furniture. Not much style. Basic room. Lovely bed though. .

The hotel is in a great location and walking distance to all the sights in the Inner City. Staff was friendly and helpful, a wonderful breakfast was included, and we had an enjoyable stay. We'll be happy to stay here again!

We had a very nice three-night winter stay. The price was very reasonable considering the standard and location of the hotel, and the price included a very good buffet breakfast. The hotel is no more than a five-minute walk from the nearest U-Bahn station, and only about 5-10 minutes walk from the central plaza in Vienna, Stephansplatz.

We did not stay very long in this hotel. It is being renovated and there were literally wires hanging from the ceiling. We were not advised of this prior to booking or at check-in. In the end we were moved to some suites down the road which to be fair were fine. However, even with the booking confirmation stating breakfast was included they tried to claim that it was not. To be honest, more hassle than it was worth and not the usual Best Western standard. I would be reluctant to book again.

Great location, can walk to everything. Excellent value for Vienna.

Stayed for 4 nights and with the hotel's location everything was within walking distance. My only warning is that on the Saturday night the noise from the disco / bar opposite woke us up at 4 am. All other nights were peaceful.

The hotel is nice and the staff are friendly and cooperative. I was allowed an early check-in which is a big deal after a long trans-atlantic flight. Breakfast is fine, albeit, not spectacular but has everything and you can order omelettes etc. The only problem was the cleaning staff: one day I had to work in the room and asked her to come back at 3pm. She came back at 2.20 and shouted through the door in a very angry voice: It's 3 pm now! (implying, get the heck out of here). I told her to come back at 3 again, which she did. But - you know what - the next day when I was out all day, they never cleaned my room. Could've been some unfortunate sequence of events though because otherwise the staff are very friendly and helpful, especially the lady at the reception who checked me in.

Good location in quiet side street, and as a woman alone felt safe wandering around at night. Lots of eating places nearby. 10 minute walk to Opera house and the city centres shops, as well as sightseeing places. I walked everywhere, did not need a taxi, wear comfy shoes though, streets are often cobbled! Hotel staff where helpful, breakfast buffet was excellent.

Hotel was well located-just 15 mins walk from town centre,with main touristic attractions. Room was v clean. Breakfast v generous.Good value for money. The only issue was the parking- either 25 eur/day in a garrage or 2 eur/h in a short parking area. One has to come back every 2 h to change ticket.... Free parking at the weekend n after 10 pm

This was an excellent choice - I would (and perhaps will) stay there again. The room was spacious (for European standards), the bed was comfortable, and the mini-bar was useful for storing food items. We didn't use the safe, but that was a nice touch too. The staff spoke excellent English, and were friendly and helpful. There were some minor glitches - when we checked in we didn't have enough pillows or comforters, but that was quickly fixed. Also, the air conditioner had trouble keeping up with the extremely hot weather, but it was certainly better than nothing! The neightborhood is safe but not attractive. But it is only a short walk to a very nice central district and is generally close (walking distance) to most downtown attractions. The breakfast was fantastic, and the free wireless internet was a definite plus. It's a moderate walk to the subway, but for arriving and departing with luggage we took a cab. Be sure to insist to the driver that the hotel is on "Tiefer Graben" street, not on the much more famous "Graben" street.

This was a very nice hotel to stay in Vienna. It was a large (paid for a jr. suite, 2 adults and child) room, clean comfortable with all expected amenities. Not cheap but in-line for peak season and large room. The location in the inner stadt was great, walking distance to major downtown attractions, shopping and transportation. The employees were courteous and helpful. Would certainly come back again.

Wow, I was shocked based on the great reviews of this hotel...I would not book it again. First, it was overpriced. Second, we booked this primarily because of the queen bed. It was two twins pushed together and not comfortable. Air con was barely air con - probably got the room to the low 80s. Bathroom was large. They also wanted a 30 Euro deposit to borrow a converter. It costs $5. Kinda shocking for the price of the room. English wasn't spoken very well (FYI), and front desk people could not immediately answer questions like "is there a gas station nearby?" - they would, however, get back to us. Location was good. Weekend parking available on the street. Seemed clean.

Room is clean. Love for seperate toilet and shower room. Hotel is not in main street. Shopping you can walk for 8 minutes. U bahn you can walk about 3-4 minutes. Tram you can walk around 8 minutes. Service is good but not great.

Excellent hotel. Polite efficient staff. Nice art deco fittings in room. Good choices at breakfast well stocked. Ten minute walk to centre of town. Good vfm all round.

Hotel Das Tigra was an excellent hotel. Our stay included breakfast which was good quality and they didn't charge extra for a cappucino! The reception staff were very helpful. We don't speak German but had no difficulty in this hotel. The hotel was clean, quiet and they did their best to meet all our needs. The room was a good size for the two of us. Good water pressure and was great being able to get a kettle and good quality tea.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. The hotel facilities were great. The breakfast which is included in the cost of the room was out of this world. Really something to write home about. The location is perfect. The staff try to be very helpful but are not very knowledgeable about what to see or where to go. I'd recommend the hotel to anyone stopping in Vienna who wants a relaxing stay in comfort.

Billed as a hotel 'with soul in the heart of the city', Las Tigra clearly exceeded our expectations of a small, boutique property. The staff was wonderful and arranged to accept some warm-weather clothes, which neighbors sent to the hotel in mid-Dec in preparation of our arrival the 23rd since we'd previously been traveling in tropical regions of the planet. The receptionist who registered us obviously was aware of this and brought it up herself and arranged for the bellman to retrieve the gear. The buffet breakfast and the staff serving it were also 'over-the-top': the quantity, quality and the variety of the breakfast offerings is uncommon at a hotel costing twice the amount. When we'd sent out laundry on December 26th unaware this was also a national holiday and subject to a 50% surcharge by the offsite business, the hotel staff again went to bat and had the surcharge removed. Everyone couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. We have already recommended this venue to our friends and will not hesitate to stay there again ourselves.

A memorable hotel for the big, immaculate room, the helpful staff and wonderful breakfasts. We walked easily to almost everything we wanted to do or see from this location.

Lovelysmaller hotel on a quiet street near every thing. Large well appointed room, very good braekfast. Very good service. Elevator is very small but bever created a proble, I would not hesitate recommending or stayng again.

Very satisfied with everything. We wanted convenience to downtown Vienna as first-time visitors and we most pleased. The staff were great! Breakfast was excellent! A definite repeat!

This hotel was well located and well kept. The breakfast buffet was generous and items were fresh. The layout of the room was a little bizarre. The main problem we had was that no one came to clean our room. We notified the front desk about it and was told someone would be up,but no one ever was. At some point someone came to provide clean towels, but that was it. We talked to the front desk again, but they seemed perplexed by the issue and never did anything about it. I know there was only so much they could do if the housekeeping staff had already left for the day, but it was sort of the nonchalant response that bothered me.

We were very pleased with our choice of hotel for our stay in Vienna The Hotel Das Tigra staff were very polite and helpful, the room and bathroom were excellent and the breakfast superb. All in all would thoroughly recommend

best service, best bread and breakfast, best location, easiest access to hotel and parking. No tricks, no hidden costs, Truly pet friendly.

If the price is ok, then this hotel is good for short stay in Vienna. Breakfast is very good, rooms are comfort. Wi-Fi is working great. Staff could be more helpful and polite.

Vienna is a lovely city. the Tigra was not as modern as I expected. There were few facilities and it was quite small. It was in a brilliant location and the bed and breakfast was fine but I expected more from Best Western.

The staff and the hotel are great and the hotel is located in the center of down town, great location!

Great location in Vienna. Quick walk to/from Stephensplatz. Front desk staff were friendly and spoke good English. Breakfast was included in reservation and very good. Driving into the inner city is not recommended- very complicated with one-ways and pedestrian only roads. My GPS unit(rented from AVIS) was a disaster. Parking for 2 nights was about $63 (46.20 euro) in a public garage up the street.

There is nothing exceptional about this hotel but it's clean, the people were nice, and it's in a good location.
