food, portions , service and quality excellent..price ok too......fast check in...for the people who left before complimentary breakfast....coffee, and pastries in lobby..

Booked the Abercorn Inn since it's close to Vancouver International airport. The hotel was perfectly adequate, but nothing made a lasting impression either.

The hotel staff were great! Very friendly and helpful, and was a great location for the airport. Also the restaurant had great food!

Bed was comfortable enough. Traffic wakes you early if your on the front side. Continental breakfast was 7 out of 10.

The beds were so comfortable that we took off the sheets so we could find out what they were and w can buy one for our home. The breakfast is fairly standard with eggs, potatoes, toasts, pastries, and a waffle bar, but the food is good. The rooms were very clean and we loved the restaurant so much that we didn't want to leave. The only downside is that it was not in the best area for restaurants, and not very convenient to the rest of the city. We got lost several times trying to come home from down town Vancouver.

I loved having a nice, clean, comfortable hotel that close to the airport, with a free shuttle. The only thing I would say that wasn't up to par was the noise from the heater under the window. It woke us up a little each time it would start.

Good experience of staying in an old English style inn. The rooms were smaller than I expected but the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was simple but the dinning area was good. Very close to the airport. Wifi connection was not stable. In general, a good value hotel near the airport.

Clean, bright, great front desk service. Overall, pleased with this hotel, for an airport vicinity hotel I would stay again.

I stayed at the Abercorn almost 20 years ago and it feels the same only times have changed. I seems dark, closed in and like a British theme park that is just out of date. What is there isn't what Britain is today and the world view presented seems dowdy, drab and depressing compared to other hotels in the area. I had some guests come to meet me there and their comments were the same as my observations here. I must add though, that the hotel and my room was clean and that the employees were friendly and helpful. Still, I don't think I'd stay there again.

The Abercorn certainly had the most comfortable beds among the many Vancouver hotels we've stayed in. On arrival we managed to catch a shuttle quickly at the airport and booked quickly into a room. However, the room was heated like a sauna and the LG heater wouldn't turn off. Apparently, they had no one on staff to fix things. We moved rooms. The second room had a LG heater that wouldn't turn on. This was better but there was no heat. The morning breakfast was good and the room was quiet. We took a taxi to the Bridgeport Station for five dollars, which gave us quick access to Skytrain and buses. He was quite rude (given the distance was short we figured). Perhaps the hotel should make arrangements with a different company.

I enjoyed my stay and close to the airport.

It was very comfortable.

Very comfortable and friendly staff. We left our car there and took a shuttle to the airport the next morning. We would definately book a room at this hotel again.

Adequate, not very clean, very old building. On the up side, convenient location, includes up to 14 days parking, has a shuttle, and the bed was comfortable and the linens were clean. As a one nighter waiting for an early flight it was fine, would stay more than a night though.

Slightly tacky decor, but the service and hospitality made up for it. The bed was one of the more comfortable beds I've had. Free breakfast was good and the pub and restaurant had a nice variety of menu items.

since we were on an asia to mexico flight we didn't venture out very far. the stay was very quiet and pleasant. we really enjoyed the gal running the bar who looked after our meal and drink VERY well. hang on to her!!

We had no complaints about the room or personnel. The breakfast was good, free shuttle to & from the airport. Free parking for 2 weeks was the big seller. We will stay there again.

I was very pleased with the entire stay!!! Great staff, good food, perfect room.

It served its purpose which was a one night stay before driving north of Vancouver. The room was clean, standard and spacious; the following morning we had a full breakfast. Checking in was smooth as was check out. No hassles or delays.

Bit of maintenance going on inside but staff was very friendly, beds comfortable, everything very clean and breakfast excellent. I'll be back!

We stayed here and parked a car for 5 days. It was convenient and worked out great!

For the convenience of parking your car while out of country, the quaint feel of the hotel, really nice lounge with great service and food, slept well, was treated kindly and transported promptly to and from the airport, I will always stay at the Abercorn Best Western Inn and highly recommend the experience. Stayed night before flying to Mexico for our son's wedding. Requested wake-up call for 4:30am We didn't get it . When our son asked where we were at 5:00am to catch shuttle to airport the front desk told him we had left. He stated I wouldn't have left without him he was told by the front desk staff had seen us get on the shuttle & leave for the airport. Received a call from son upon discovering we were not at airport. We left in such a rush (as we were close to missing our flight) we left some things behind. Although we had booked more than a month in advance for when we arrived back from Mexico in October, our room was across from the elevator, next to the ice machine, above the front entrance & over 24 degrees. The air conditioner was so noisy it sounded like a jet engine about to take off. Although it was so noisy we had to leave it on all night as when we turned it off it went up over 24 degrees again. When checking out we asked again for the things we had left behind & were told housekeeping had said nothing had been left behind. We would not recommend staying at this hotel.

Our stay at the The Best Western was very comfortable and affordable. The room was clean and had all the amenities we needed. The hotel is close to the airport and convenient for our stay in Richmond. We would defintiely stay here again.

Very good considering it was my first time on Vancouver

Pick up from airport was very quick and check in very quick also. Excelent breakfast was also included in the price and all very clean. Would recommend.

We had arrived 'early' from our cruise and the Staff made an extra effort to get ours and other guests rooms ready quickly with minimal wait...Thank You.....The Pub was delightful along with the food.

The hotel is located very near to the train station which gets you to down town Vancouver in a very convenient and fast way.

I chose the Best Western because of quality, comfortable, clean rooms and because of the buffet breakfast that is included with the stay.

We only had a short stay in Vancouver and needed a place near the airport for our early morning departure. Best Western Plus Abercorn Inn was just perfect. The restaurant had great food and service. We were very pleased with our choice!

The hotel was in a good location. The room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was OK as was the front desk, they were helpful even though busy.The airconditioner was not on but still made funny noises...I worked out that the exterior fan was being spun by the wind outside....and it made a clicking noise as it struck something in its housing....how do you explain that to the housekeeper?? Anyway I eventually fell asleep. Bed was large and firm, room clean so it refreshed me for my next flight. Thanks to the shuttle driver too!

The image of Best Western Hotel, especially this particular one is never as it was used to be: very clean, enough staff to cater to clients. There is no bell boy here, or if it a small hotel to have one,the desk staff did not help with the luggages to be taken to our room and at check out, no help at all.The non smoking room we are at is a smoking room with the smell of smoke in the air. (We stayed at all Best Western Hotels over the world travelling the last many years. This location does not cater to the comfort of the clients considering a standard room for for the rate we paid.)

This was a nice hotel for an overnight stay before using the airport and convinient for that purpose. The area offered little else so a longer stay would not be receommended. Clean and staff friendly.
