Comfortable well priced cannot fault it

The hotel is very clean; the service outstanding with excellent breakfasts. Rooms are comfortable with television and a safe. Though its surrounding area is a little unkempt it's very handy for Omonia and Syntagma squares, a ten and thirty minute stroll away. Both have Metro services to the Airport/ Ferry port of Peiraias for the Greek Islands.There is a bus stop right outside the hotel and a plentiful supply of taxis for travel further afield. Excellent value for money.

Front desk staff were outstanding. The location is convenient, but there are people doing drugs in the nearby streets at night. There was no alarm clock. The instructions on the phone for, e.g., requesting a wake-up call, were in German. The shower was tiny, with a wrap around shower curtain that sticks to you as you shower, and that doesn't keep water from spraying on the bathroom floor. Street noise is a problem at night, so you want to keep the door to the balcony closed. With the door closed, the room was too hot and stuffy unless the a/c was turned on. The a/c had no external temperature control (it originally came with a remote, which was not available in the rooms), and it cooled the room too much. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Interior is dated but clean enough for the price.

I was completely satisfied with the hotel- very helpful staff, great location (for my purposes), very good breakfast, clean room, comfortable bed, high quality linens and towels. I'd stay there again without question. However, the neighborhood, while convenient, is somewhat dangerous (if you aren't cautious); lots of junkies nearby at night; groups of police on the corner of the hotel protecting the National Museum and the Ministry of Culture. Regardless, there are also superb restaurants very nearby.

Loran and George were the best. They helped us where to go and what to avoid in the city of Athens. The manager was also helpful, nice, and caring to tourist. Overall, our stay in this hotel was awesome, and the price is also cheap.

FIrst off, I should say that I travel a great deal and have stayed in hotels of all sorts. This particular stay was undoubtedly the most uncomfortable experience I've ever had in terms of the location. The estimate of "550 meters from the metro" was overly optomistic on the hotel's part. But more importantly, the neighborhood rapidly declined block by block until we were literally walking past meth-heads lighting their pipes on the sidewalks and stepping over half-conscious crackheads. And this was the area directly surrounding the hotel. The staff was helpful and honest and acknowledged that is would be unwise to leave the hotel at night. Who would want to with the crowd gathered around the 4 dumpsters across the street rifling through the refuse? When we were sent 2 blocks over to meet our tour bus by the nearby Park hotel, we were subsequently directly to the bus stop across the street at which point we were harassed by the most disease-ridden hooker I've ever seen. We finally fled the area and headed back to the hotel. When we relayed this account and the staff member realized that we had been sent to a local bus stop he said "Oh no, you almost made a very deadly mistake." One can only wonder why the hotel staff would send their guests anywhere near that location. But as I said, overall the staff was great, though I wouldn't ever suggest anyone risk the stay anywhere in this area. It was absolutely frightening.

Was looking for something close to the city center, so found this spot. The surrounding neighborhood isn't the greatest, but the hotel itself is nice. The manager was very helpful in giving me directions on how to get to the hotel via bus from the airport, and also helping me book KTEL tickets (for travel to other locations in Greece). Just from the friendliness alone I would recommend this place.

The hotel was excellent. The room had a balcony. We couldn't get the heater to work properly, but we soon warmed up in bed. We made the mistake of hiring a car and it was a nightmare driving through the narrow streets round the hotel. Not the hotel's fault though.

The staff at this hotel were extremely nice and went out of the way to help us with our stay and transportation to the airport. Thank you for everything.

I was thankful that the hotel is kept cleaned, its one of my big things. the afternoon and evening personnal were very helpful and friendly, the location is not recommended but there is police presents 24/7 and did not at any one time felt unsafe. the room is very small the shower is uncomfortable, but everything in the room worked just fine. If the hotel would extend the bus services for to and from the airport if would have a big success, or lower the price of the night for what it offers, The breakfast is good but it would be mindful if they exten the closing time, since we are out til late and wish to rest alittle more in the morning.

Pretty far walk from the sights. Neighborhood was not the best. I would definately stay closer to the center if I visited again

We were on our way to Kalymnos, and wanted to see the sights in Athens. The hotel is nice and the staff were very helpful. The breakfast is good and the hotel is close to the metro station or there is usually a cab out front. I would definitely stay there again.

The room was clean, the staff nice and helpful, the breakfast great, and the area mostly good. If you stay on the main roads around the hotel, it is also safe!

We arrived at the hotel during the day and during a strike in Athens. NO problem, We have enjoyed such a nice time in the islands and as a matter of fact we were still numb by the hospitality of the greek people but , this hotel is right in front of a heroin drug traffic boulevard. Police is around and we were not bother but the site is shocking. NOT recommended.

The hotel is right next to the National Archeology Museum and a university. It is also in walking distance of two different train/metro/subway stations. The hotel is in walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and even the Acropolis (if you enjoy longer walks). The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and polite - from the front desk staff to the morning breakfast room staff. Although the room was not furnished with new-looking beddings and furniture, he room was clean and comfortable. It also had free internet access, a small inconspicuous refrigerator, and a balcony. All in all, I enjoyed my stay there.

Everything about our 6 day stay at BW Museio was perfect. From the staff ( George and Manuel to Natalia) everyone was helpful and nice. Located across the street from Archeological Museum and walking distance from several great Tavernas, the location was great. Walking distance to Omonia Metro. Breakfast was good. WiFi was excellent. We loved this place.

8 blocks to nearest subway stop through seedie (not unsafe) neighborhood. No baggage help (not even a cart). Breakfast was very good. Room was clean. Shower was small...real small. I would give this hotel a low 3 star rating.

The front desk people offer very good support to guests and are very friendly

The room was nice, neat and clean. The room had patio doors which opened to balscony. The staff was excellent and courteous. The complimentary breakfast was great. Th shower was a stand up with a shower curain, and it was excedingly small. Not being the largest person, I had troble manouvering without hanging outside the cutainand soaking the floor and everything around. Any person over 180 lbs, you will not fit in the shower stall. The location of the hotel was not ideal, but was about a 5-10 minute walk to the local metro station which allowed entire access to the city. The neighborhood was not ideal and appeared to be a bit run down. But it looked worse than it actually was. Some local restraunts and bars within a few minute walk.

A hotel just to stay for a period not more than one night. Did not like the size of the bathroom and even the room it self was very small.

The overall experience in this hotel was excellent. We had free wireless internet in our room, plus there were 2 available computers & printer for our use. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, including cold cereal, coffee, juice, boiled eggs, bacon, cheese, ham & bread for sandwiches, and fruits. The location was close to the tour bus station and very close to many restaurants. And, last but not least, the staff was always available and extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

The hotel was extremly convenient-5 minutes to Omania tube station and a byus stop right outside,. Eclectic neighbourhood-a few homeless people and junkies in the area but did not feel intimidated. Excellent local restaurenats and bars-vibrant and friendly. I liked having a balconey and air conditioning very welcome. Breakfast ok-coffee good but bread not!

The hotel is basic but clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast good and plentiful. The hotel has few amenities and is really a hotel for guests in transit. It is very handy for the excellent archeological museum but the one block walk through a tree lined street is daunting as it is a gathering place for street dwellers and drug addicts. Though we neither witnessed nor encountered any problems, whilst walking this block with my two young daughters, I did have difficulty explaining to my 9 year old about the discarded syringe on the grass. Maybe when the hotel has lost all its custom they may put pressure on to clean up the area. We stayed there on our way in and out of Greece but I couldn't recommend it to anyone because of the neighbourhood problems.

uiterst prettig hotel in een gezellige uitgaansbuurt. de kwaliteit is eenvoudig maar daar is de prijs ook geheel na. voor het centrum van athene een aanrader.

Opholdet varede 2 nætter. Tog metro fra Piræus til Viktoria og skulle finde vej dertil, men blev guidet forkert vej og havnede i et slum-område, hvor vi var tæt på at blive overfaldet af en gade-bande. En venlig græker hjalp os med at skaffe taxa og kom frem. Der var superservice fra personalet. Dag 2 når vi vores mål med at taget til Akropolis til fods og Arkæologisk Museum, som ligger 2 min. fra os. Ingen problemer. Aftensmad på en hyggelig restaurant på gå-afstand fra hotellet. Hjem og pakke. Men her skete der noget på gaden under os. Vi boede i 5. sal med udsigt til bagsiden af Arkæologisk Museum, hvor der er faste vagter på krydset med 4 kampklædte politifolk. De var der også nogle år tilbage, da vi tilbragte et par dage samme sted. Nogle provokatører havde kastet en kanonslag mod politiet og de svarede igen med tåregas. Et øjeblik lignede vores gade en krigszone og gaden var tåget af gassen. Ganske ubehageligt. Morgenen efter måtte vi tage en taxa til lufthavnen, da vi ikke vil risikere at blive udsat for noget ubehageligt på vores vej derhen. Personalet har et meget højt serviceniveau og taxachaufføren var en meget venlig mand. Jeg vil ikke udelukke at bo på hotellet igen en anden gang. Men Athen er blevet et lidt usikkert sted at være i disse krisetider.

hotel parfait, propreté, petit dej, accueil... bien situé car à 30 métres du commissariat de police et cela est rassurant à Athénes, même si il y a peu de risques.

Es ist typischer Best Western Standart.Für das Morgenessen ist ein Bufett von einem guten regionalen Standart. Für die anderen Essen muss man anderswo hingehen. Einige lockale Restaurants sind 5 Minuten entfernt. An der Reception wird einem freundlich geholfen. Der Hauptnachteil des Hotels für empfindliche Leute eine Seitenstrasse in der sich Randständige aufhalten. Der direckte Hotelzugang ist nicht betroffen und die Leute halten sich nicht vor dem Hotel auf. Ich würde das Hotel wieder besuchen

Superflinkt og hjælpsomt personale. Lige overfor nationalmuseet for arkæologi. Dejligt lokalområde med hyggelige cafeer og enkelte restauranter. Dog er parken overfor ved museet et område for hjemløse. Der er dog politi. Lidt langt at gå til metro.

Cet hôtel un peu excentré des gros pôles touristiques d’Athènes est une excellente solution d'hébergement. L’hôtel est très confortable, le personnel accueillant et serviable, le petit déjeuner permet d'être en forme pour une grande journée de balade. Le quartier d'Exarchia qui peut paraitre surprenant au premier abord (tags sur tous les murs) est finalement sympathique, des bars sympas et quelques restaurants authentiques. On est loin des quartiers hyper touristiques de Plaka et Monastiraki, cela repose... On y retournera lors de notre prochain séjour dans cette ville accueillante.

Bien situado para ver Athenas. La gente de barrio dejaba mucho que desear lleno de drogadictos. Mucha vigilancia policial. El deayuno malo.

Vi var ovenud tilfredse med hotellet. Meget venligt og hjælpsomt personale, fine værelser, god morgenmad, god beliggenhed i gåafstand til seværdigheder.

L'hotel est très bien situé, à 5mn à pied Omonia (station de métro principale). Le quartier est sympa surtout en remontant l'avenue il y a plein de p'tits resto. L'hotel est très confortable (demandé la chambre 704 Ismini : 35 m² et une terrase de 38m² avec vue sur la parthénon : GENIAL. Le personnel est très serviable et le directeur parle français. Le petit déj n'est pas très varié mais vu le prix des chambres (environ 60 €) cela est très convenable. Si c'est la 1ère fois que vous visitez Athènes prenez les bus rouge pour mieux connaitre les différents quartiers. Si vous voulez louer un scooter il faut le permis moto (même pour un 50cm et 125 cm) sauf sur l'ile d'Egine ou ils sont peu regardant. Sinon les grecs sont peu avenants et ne pretent pas trop attention aux touristes, la ville n'est pas "belle" mais on s'y sent bien tout de suite. Bon séjour

Alles viel 100% mee in dit hotel. Terwijl incheck normaliter pas na 14u kon, maar wij 's ochtends vroeg aankwamen, mochten we om 9u30 toch al op de kamer. Personeel was uitermate vriendelijk en hulpvaardig op alle vlakken: WiFi-verbinding uitleggen, printen van de instapkaarten voor het vliegtuig, tips voor eethuisjes, prijs van taxiritten voorgerekend zodat we niet bedot werden (Athene is daar berucht om!), interessante deals zoals transfer naar de luchthaven met snelbus X95 aan Syntagma-plein voor 3.20 euro pp ipv 40 euro per taxi. Degelijk ontbijt ook. Zelden teleurgesteld in een Best Western-hotel maar dit was een zéér positieve uitschieter!
