Be Live Grand Marien - All Inclusive - بورتو بلاتا

The room was clean and comfortable, however the air conditioner was set much to high and could not be changed. The service was very good and the staff was very friendly. Internet is not included and is a hastle to purchase. Overall my stay was nice and I would stay at this hotel again.

The stay was great , but the food could be better , they should have typical food , not different flood like oriental , Italian , Asian , and alsO the restaurant should be open every night .

The internet was advertised free but it was NOT. The food was bland except for the Gourmet restaurant. The buffet was not worth the trip! I ate in the local economy for better food. The staff from the casino stationed at the entry of this hotel was disrespectful and RUDE. The casino is a RIP-OFF! The timeshare presentation is a bait and switch. I never received my concert tickets! The rooms were clean and the maid staff was the only high point on this visit. I may go to another island on my next trip. For those on a budget...there are buses that passes the entrance of the airport to the entrance of this hotel for 50 pesos...the $20-$30 usd price is a RIP-OFF. You can rent a car and driver ALL Day for that price...you'll see!

I truly enjoyed our time there. My husband and I have stayed in many resorts in DR and this is one of the best by far. Beautiful beach. The rooms are very clean and modern. I loved the decor and the food was very good, the service too. But the Brazilian restuarant especially was delicious... do make a reservation to eat there! The evening entertainment stage shows after dinner were a bit lame but the Night-Club/ DIsco totally made up for it. It was crazy packed with a young fun vibe, drinks and great latin dance music! Fun in the Sun, Good Food, Good Music in a Nice Hotel Resort ... who can ask for anthing more?

I spent 6 days there on 4 different reservations. Originally I was very dissatisfied because of the people at the reception area. They were uncooperative and kept quotin rules that I did not know even existed. As the week went on, the service improved. The restaurants were excellent, especially the Brazilian one. The staff there is excellent. The pool is also amazing. I would return if I ever decide to return to D.R.

I went by myself to be live grand marien and I had a great time, worker are so friendly, the hotel it's very clean, the pool it's huge and beutifull, the room was very Beutifull and the bed so comfortable.. I'm coming back again. Thank you so much to all the staff..

I have lived in the DR for 4 years and have visited numerous hotels. I can honestly say this hotel was 5 stars for the DR as the beach was beautiful the ocean clean the room spotless the staff very attentive and more then anything eelse the food was better then average which is shocking

The liquor is nasty. The service at dinner is the worst! This hotel was NOT worth my money.

After manager had knowledge of our terrible experience at the Be live La Kannada two days earlier,.hi did add much add possible to make our one day experience at this hotel a great one....... They just made it happen!!!!! A welcome drink an upgrade room and much more........ Please book this resort in Santiago..... It should be five starts considering COSTUMER SATISFACTION.

I really like the food and the pool was clean and big.

The had people there trying to sell time share. they were so persistant and annoying.

I enjoyed my stay and enjoyed the food and the bar tenders but I think the service from the receptionists was terrible. I was supposedly upgraded to a better room upon my arrival and I was told my room was new but the bathroom faucet was broken and rusted and the fridge wasn't working.. I asked for it to the sink to be fixed but it never was and the only reason I got the fridge fixed was because I kept telling the maid who cleaned my room n she got someone for us. All in all everything the resort provides was great n the staff was very friendly...I just didn't enoy the fact that my faucet was broken

It was ok. I did not like the food , the hotel was great nice staff. I wanted to feel the Dominican culture but it felt like any other hotel.

This was our second stay at the hotel - within less than a 45-day period. My fiance' and I spent three wonderful nights at the resort in May (2012). During our most recent visit however, we were disappointed with the quality and variety of food dishes and the long lines that we encountered. We were on our honeymoon and expected a better (or at least similar) experience as our first visit. However, we were sadly disappointed.

had a great time with my family, at be live. food was great and service was good. not a big resort so its good if you have little ones. beach was ok, but im more of a pool person so i was happy.

The hotel seems to be a discarded Hilton. Upon arrival we were given a key and kind of set loose to fend for ourselves. Having never stayed at an all inclusive before we would have liked an explanation of how restaurants, towel service, etc.. all worked. We were given an aggressive sales pitch for a time share, and were followed around and harassed by employees of the same office for three days after we told them we were not interested. Finally the resort only allows certain taxi's in, which then charge hugely inflated rates. There is a sign with guaranteed rates, which our cab driver then refused to honor (only once he had taken us to our destination). When we called the hotel from the airport for support, they sided with the cab driver. Finally, the hotel allows outside vendors (shops, excursions, hair braiding) on hotel property. These vendors are frequently aggressive, and generally an unpleasant surprise when you are trying to relax. The "gated" mature of the resort is a joke, simply everyone is let it. Stay away.

Hotel was good. Service was good. Food at buffet.... not so much. Pool was good. Beach was good. Food at restaurants was good. Drinks were good. Bed was firm. Block 9 is located in the newer part of the complex. We could see and hear the ocean from our 2nd floor room... very nice. The Michael Jackson show was "entertainment". After the show, I thought "bless their little hearts, they're doing the best they can with what they have". One ticket for a show in Vegas would cost a lot more then one night for 2 in this beach front resort. So, oh well. The disco just outside the resort was hardcore. If I was 30 years younger then I would have said "WOW". Now it's like "whatever". The disco inside the resort was smaller and more fun. Sales team was aggressive. I firm "NO thank you" works pretty well. Overall great value for the money. The best resort out of 4 I've stay in on the north shore.

The staff was friendly but the food was terrible and I believe tnat it need to be a great improved.Also mos of the staff was very friendly only a lady part of the staff wanted us to showed us other hotel part of the same hotel chain and after we thought about it and we decide no to go her behavior was not nice...but overall despite that we did not like te food the hotel was ok.

the expirience of my husband is fantastic,the services is fabolouse, the buffet is very good, but i cant do the reservation for a diferents reservation restaurants because the recepcionist say i cant because the reservation before 1:00pm and we arrived at the hotel at 4:00pm. but the other is fine. thanks. have a nice day.

Nice experience.

The Be Live Grand Marien has a fun, friendly staff that speaks multiple languages and is happy to do so. The hotel grounds are very well maintained and the building we stayed in was newly remodeled and was excellent (bldg 8). The buffet has very good breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had many choices, vegetarian, seafood and red meat. At breakfast, the cooks were happy to make eggs, any style for us. This hotel is safe and kid friendly. During the week, it was quite and easy to find pool and beach chairs. On the weekend, the crowd picks up and you need to be an early riser to secure a poolside seat under the tiki huts. Be sure to take advantage of the free snorkel gear and kayaks that they let you use for free. Make sure you know the exchange rate, and prepare to haggle on the price of everything, both in the hotel and out. We recommend the Grand Marien very highly!

The food was mediocre, the entertainment was non existent, they had two animacion staff, they were boring. The hotel should invest in a real entertainment. There's nothing to do at night. The food is pretty bland, but overall the beach is nice. I would not spend more than 5 days at this resort.

I visited DR for the first time and stayed at this location for the first time as well. I was very satisfied with the cleanliness of the room, the views and variety of food. It was nice to have the option of making a reservation at a sit-down restaurant on right on site which provides a little spontaneity from the already abundant buffets. Although the vendors and salespeople may approach you a few times during your stay, the hotel staff is very nice and helpful. It's like a world of its own that which you will not want to leave!!

THE REASON BEHIND A 3 SCORE IS THE FOOD IS VERY VERY BAD.

We had a great experience at the Be Live Grand Marien... very friendly staff, great location, very clean room (beautiful ocean view) and surroundings (specially the beach). Food was ok. Overall, a very good experience... a must come back hotel, for sure.

The room smelled musty the attention is nice

The resort was beautiful with views of the ocean on one side and of the mountains on the other side. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food wasn't that great in my opinion but I didn't try all the restaurants. I only tried the main restaurant where they have buffets, which I found a little limited as far as the options they had, and the gourmet restaurant which requires reservation, which was very good, but again there were not too many options to pick from. Overall, I had a great time. I would recommend this hotel to other people, especially considering the price we paid for the stay which was very reasonable.

très bon hotel,repas tres bon et assez varié ( un theme pour chaque jour),personnel tres sympathique et acceuillant, animation bon la journée et en soirée, un seul regret au niveau de l'équipement sport nautique : pas grand chose dans le formule inclus.( hors payant ). je ne comprends pas que internet et le coffre fort est payant pour un grand hotel de 5*. dommage.
