UNA Hotel Vittoria - فلورنس

The UNA Vittoria is a nice enough hotel - arty, boutique- style but as with a lot of similar hotels, adding a few arty touches does not make it a great hotel. My single room was fine, a little on the small side but nothing unusual for Europe. Had all the creature comforts I needed. Breakfast was a good buffet selection. The main downsides for me were: a) Having to pay (a lot) for WIFI - from €3 for 30 mins, €6 for 1 hour, etc! Really? b) The location - this is a good 20 mins walk from the center. I am a good walker so I'm not complaining about a short stroll. When I booked I checked the distance on Mapquest & saw it claimed to be a 25 mins walk - but I mistakenly assumed that was probably just for slow walkers. Oh no. This is a good 20 mins walk, just to the Ponte Vecchio which is probably what most people would consider the closest part of the 'center'. You can walk a slightly more direct route to the Duomo (i.e not via the Ponte Vecchio) but it will be at least 20+ mins again. Overall, not a bad hotel, but I won't be staying again due to the location.

This hotel may not have been in the center of Firenze, but it is still worth considering. We loved our room, and they offered plenty of options for reaching all the tourist hot spots. And even though it's not in the center of everything, we still found great dining and some fun bars.

The best part is that the hotel is located away from the immediate center of the town. So, it is quiet which is nice after spending all day walking around the chaos of downtown. I didn't mind the 15 minute fast walk to the center of town. There is also a free shuttle that runs to the railway station. The front desk and restaurant staff are polite but not particularly friendly. My main concern was that the furnishing in my room was too "loud". For instance, the bed was placed on a raised bright red carpeted platform. Both walls were also covered in the same red carpet. I should point out that I was travelling alone. Some couples might find it romantic. The room lighting was also a little too extreme. One of the lighting options involved a large grid of small LED lights covering both walls. There is a remote control to control the numerous lighting systems. However, strangely the room was too dark to read a book comfortably in bed even with all the lights turned on. The bed was very comfortable though. Also, the bathroom was spacious. I didn't have one of those rooms that has the shower glass door exposed to the rest of the bedroom. The room is square. Yet there is a dividing wall immediately next to the bed to create a small alcove on the other side. It is almost like a walk-in closet without the hangers. This wastes about a third of the total space. On a positive note, the included breakfast is very good.

This is a lovely hotel to stay at while visiting Florence. The hotel has very modern and unique furnishings, the rooms are well maintained and the staff are extremely helpful (they can book wine tours, museum tickets and gave great info on other places to see as well). The free breakfast every morning was also wonderful with tons of options. The hotel is a bit away from the main center of Florence (about 15 - 20min walk). There is a shuttle bus from the hotel to the main train station every 30mins in the morning and evenings, so it will save you the walk. If you don't mind staying a bit outside the main touristy area, this is a great hotel...you won't be disappointed!

This was the most interesting hotel I've ever stayed in. The rooms had a very modern/cool aesthetic, the breakfast was great, and the staff was very attentive. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Firenze.

On walking into the hotel, the first impression is that it looks very nice, clean and fun. We were shown to our room and had somebody carry our luggage for us. Room is very comfortable and clean with added fun features such as the blue LED lights surrounding the room and the glass shower room which can be seen from the bedroom. Food is good and breakfast is excellent. Only problem we had was that the shower was faulty. Would recommend to friends.

I am kinda disappointed with the stay in Una hotel. The room does not have a boiled water pot and the mosquito spray they offer did not actually work. I also met a lizard in my room. On the other side, the people are polite and nice in the hotel.

The Una hotel is really nice and a bit different. The hotel and rooms have a very stylish look and some very nice design features. The breakfast is excellent also. The hotel is about 20 minute walk from centre but the free shuttle is excellent. The only problem was the new tax of 4 euro per person/night but this is not the hotels fault.

Very hip hotel off the beaten path. Expect a 20 minute walk to town. Great property once inside the grounds. From the time you walk in the door all the way to your room, you will love the details throughout. The architecture is a great mixture of modern and old world. Rooms are a bit small but functional. They are definitely not standard in design by placing small light grids in felt material all over the ceiling and walls around the bed. It works though. Staff was friendly and breakfast was free with the standard breads and cereals served at most hotels. Internet was a whopping 24 Euros for 1-day! Unfortunately, this seems to be the standard at most hotels around Florence and Rome. This is our second stay at "Una" in Italy and they have been consistently better than average. I would highly recommend looking into Una wherever you stay in Italy.

It's more of a back-pack dormitory, it shouldn't be graded as a four star hotel. No sooner had we checked in than we checked out in a minute, forfeiting our upfront payment. That's how bad we felt. The rooms are not just way too small for a four star but are reminiscent of a outlaying motel, the interior design is more suited to a pole joint.

We loved everything about this hotel-- wonderful people at the desk, ultra beautiful Italian contemporary design not only in the lobby, bar and restaurant but also in our room, fabulous bar and restaurant, and the breakfast was nothing less than spectacular. We would recommend this hotel without question. From the hotel, a pleasant walk to all the key sights of Florence and then we walked around the immediate neighborhood and found some great little spots for coffee, wine, gelato and an excellent store whose prepared foods were very reasonable in price and most delicious.

Really great place, staff very helpful as well as multilingual. Thoroughly enjoyed the place and would definitely recommend the place to anyone visiting Florence

The stay at the hotel was just perfect, the interior exactly as on the pictures. the staff was very helpful and friendly. the breakfeast buffet was plenty and contains something for every taste. the room was small, but comfortable and enough for a weeks stay. the hotel is about 20 minutes by walk from the center (about 7 minutes by bus - which go often from early morning till about midnight), and in a quiet neighboorhood. perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the center. great restaurants are close by in case you do not want to go back to the center for dinner in the evening. i will definitely recommend this hotel!

We had a great time. The staff was very friendly and helpful (you can even choose the kind of pillow you want) and the facilities were great. Very nice decoration, huge room and close enough to the city centre. There's even a supermarket around the corner and a great ice-cream place (close to the medieval wall). Breakfast was very good and the bar was really nice, they even have free snacks after 7pm. Totally recommendable.

had booked this hotel as it offered something different for our short stay in Florence and it delivered in bucket loads! The room was the best we had ever stayed in and set itself apart from a run-of-the-mill 4/5* establishment (the air-con was a smidge weak for the size of the room) the service in both the restaurant and especially at the bar was consummmately professional and seriously second to none! Thanks, this hotel was the final part in what was a perfect short trip around northern Italy!

I would absolutely return to Hotel Vittoria. The staff was great, the room and the decor were fun and different. It's a little bit far from the restaurant area on the south side of the river. If there were only a couple more restaurants, it would be perfect for us.

Definitely recommended. However the hotel restaurant is a bit expensive and the food was not that great. The walk to Florence historical district was a bit much too especially if you'retravelling with a family. However, the service of the staff and the ambience of the hotel bar and lobby made it it all just fine :-)

The hotel was fine . The shower was the best thing about the hotel :) also loved that the breakfast was included. What I did not like was the hotel charged for the internet 18 Euros for 4 hours if your coming from the states do the math ! its expensive. I have stayed at some of the best and worst hotels and they do not charge for the internet. When I mentioned it to the staff they just simply said it was the hotels policy. Other than that the hotel was fine

Breakfast was great and prepared us for a long day of walking in Florence. Enclosed courtyard gives a little separation from the gritty neighborhood. Hotel staff was courteous and helpful. Location is outside of city center, but close enough for a reasonable walk. I would stay there again if I visit Florence.

Stayed at the hotel for 8 nights in early May. Hotel staff were exceptional. Very efficient, polite, great service and spoke near fluent English. I arrived early in the morning of my first night, and they ensured my room was ready on arrival at 9am. The room itself was adequate - it was all new, had everything you needed and was very clean. The room size was ok - ample for two people. The breakfast was included and my God was it wonderful. Fresh selection of meats, dairy and bakery items. All very fresh and delicious. Staff were friendly and efficient. Overall, very happy with the stay. The location was great (slightly out of the city centre by about 15 mins walking), nice and calm, still plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars around the corner. Recommend.

I read all the reviews and thought....cool we will stay out of the city center in a hip and trendy hotel. Well....I wont do that again, it was super, super small and quite dated! Kinda retro 70's/80's vibe but with a bit of a porno feel. The bathroom was dirty enough that I asked if they could clean it better the next day, which it was but the lack of previous cleaning left it just ok. As for the service, I felt like it was a bother to get info. We asked for quick walk resturants close by because we were tired from our flights. It was ok but not at all as convienent as we expected. As for the morning breakfast, it was as expected....a typical European buffet but good luck if you sleep in and go a little late, it was super busy with no where to sit because of the "s" shaped tables. I would not reccomend eating there for dinner, the menu states with a * that some items made from frozen foods.....so with only 2 things to pick from with out an * it was kinda expensive for what we ate. It was a bit rainy for our visit so we opted to take the taxi a few times into the city center and it was ashort ride but averaged 8-10 euros. I would have to say the best part of the hotel/staff was a gentleman in the bar for the evening service. He was very sweet and helpful and happy to help us. Florence is a BEAUTIFUL city with a lot to do...stay in town you wont regret it.

Superb hotel - the room is amazing - everything geared towards a very intimate time together-walled rooms fancy lighting large wall mounted LCDtv - bathroom brilliant deep bath lovely power full shower attached- rooms like nothing i had ever seen before - will def be back - fantastic-location superb for meals in town with in 10 mins walk or even less-loved it

Cela vaut la peine de marcher 10mn pour aller en centre ville,car l'hotel est au calme. Le petit déjeuner est super,par contre la carte du repas du soir est chere.Il y a a proximité derriere l'hotel un parc qui,si vous vous donner la peine d'aller jusqu'au bout, vous dévoile l'idée de ce qu'est la campagne toscane...Le matin ,de bonne heure,l'instant est magique.

Hotel cómodo, limpio, moderno, agradable, con muy buen servicio y muchas facilidades. Único pero, el hotel muy bonito pero la decoración un tanto extraña, para mi gusto se pasa de original y de moderno y resulta un poco feo y un tanto hortera, aunque entiendo q esto esta apreciación es subjetiva.

Hotellet lå lige udenfor midtbyen af Firenze og med ca. 20 minutters gang, så var vi ved alle turistattraktionerne. Hotellet tilbød ligeledes mulighed for parkering, hvilket var er stort plus. Hele hotellet er meget kreativt indrettet, og receptionen var super venlig. Alt i alt et hotel jeg ville anbefale til andre ;)

Designhotellet ligger ganske sentralt i Firenze og en fin spasertur inn til sentrum. Litt for langt å gå med koffert, men hotellet har gratis schuttlebuss som kjører inn til jernbanestasjon. Hyggelig betjening og små men stilige rom. Kan anbefales. Flott frokostbuffe.

Super hotel - den eneste ulempe er meget lidt lys på værelset og badeværelset (læselampen var smart, men næsten ubrugelig). Ingen trafikstøj - ligger lidt væk fra selve centrum af Firenze, men der er fin busforbindelse og gratis transport fra hotellet og tilbage ca. 4-5 gange dag og aften. Herligt morgenbord med alt, hvad man kan ønske sig. Der er en dejlig gårdhave. Vil bestemt anbefale det til andre.

Das UNA Hotel Vittoria ist sehr schön. Das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie bestellen auch die Eintrittskarten zu den verschiedenen Museen, damit man nicht all zu lange anstehen muss. Das Frühstückbuffet war sehr gut, es gibt für jeden Geschmack etwas. Die Zimmer sind witzig, spezielle Innenarchitektur, ein bisschen eng, aber das ist ja heute normal. Das ganze Hotel und die Umgebung, sind sehr sauber. Viel Spass in Firenze.

Et ualminnelig elegant hotell med hensyn til felles rom og og selove hotell-rommet. Noe av det beste jeg har sett, spesielt tatt prisen i betraktning. Meget hyggelig betjening. Flott frokost

very nice service, great breakfasts, localization not in the direct centre but you need just 15-20 minutes walk to get to the centre. Rooms were clean but too extravagant and small for us (it is not enough place to feel comfortable there with you lugggage). Also, you have to pay for the wifi connection (and you don't have the it all over your room, it's too weak). It's a pity cause it's 4 stars hotel. Nevertheless it's a place worth recommendation.

A great hotel in every way. Great service, comfort, design, breakfast, etc etc. But you'll pay big time. Even lots of extra for wifi. If money doesn't matter, go to Una! It's not ideally placed. It takes at least 20 minutes of walking to centre, through a not so nice neighborhood. So grab a cap - 12-15€.

HOTEL TRES CALME A 20 MN DU CENTRE VILLE PARKING A PROXIMITE POUR VOITURE BON DEJEUNER BIEN ???

Le UNA est à la hauteur de ses 4 étoiles ! Outre une déco remarquable et soigneusement étudiée, l'endroit est très calme et reste un havre de paix après une longue journée de découvertes. Le petit déjeuner est très complet et c'est un régal que de commencer ainsi sa journée. Enfin (et pas des moindres) le personnel est aux petits soins et d'une tres grande professionnalité. On peut aussi se garer à l'extérieur, sans trop de difficulté (zone bleue uniquement, les emplacement blancs etant réservé aux résidents). nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cet hotel, et nous reviendrons sans hésitation.

Super dejligt hotel beliggende i rimelig gåafstand til de vigtige sights. Allerede ved ankomst føler man sig velkommen, da det søde og rare personale møder en med smil. Gennem hele opholdet var personalet noget af det mest hjælpsomme jeg nogensinde har oplevet på et hotel. Top lækker decor - lige fra receptionen, til restauranten og baren - ja selv gangene var noget for sig. Værelset var super dejligt, lækker indretning, og altid super rent. Eneste minus var, at man ikke havde udstyret udendørsområderne med behagelige havemøbler( der var alene cafe-borde med jernstole til) - kunne have været rart med lidt behagelig afslapning udendørs efter en lang dag på farten i centrum. Alt i alt kan jeg ikke andet end anbefale stedet - vil uden tøven bo der igen, hvis turen går til Firenze på ny.

Wir waren 7 Nächte da. Sehr nettes Hotel, nicht direkt an einer Straße gelegen (eine Reihe zurückversetzt), daher sehr ruhig. Reichhaltiges gutes Frühstücksbuffet, Frühstücksraum mit schöner Terrasse. Freundliches Personal. 4 Sterne sind ok. Etwas abseits gelegen, zu Fuß ins Zentrum von Florenz ca. 20-25 Minuten, Haltestelle Stadtbus aber vor dem Hotel. Parken sehr teuer (20 €/Tag), Internet (WLAN) extrem teuer (25 €/Tag), Preise an der Bar auch. Zum Übernachten mit Frühstück aber sehr empfehlenswert.

Wir haben uns rundrum wohl gefühlt und würden wieder kommen. Der Service des Personals war tadellos.

Design var spesielt i Firenze's miljø, men service var ok.
