Room Mate Larios - مالاجا

A very happy find. Good, central location, near to attractions and bars - with Spanish Tapas who needs a restaurant !. Very comfortable and well appointed room.

First time in Malaga, easy bus trip from airport no 19 bus straight into town, crossed the roads and unto Larios street. Hotel was 50 yrds on left... easy. The bus route back to the airport is on a different street, hence check it out in advance and cost less for some reason!. The hotel is 4* for location, we had a great view of the street from our 4th floor, spacious and clean room. The room does not have tea making facilities but has a mini barr and safe box. We didn't eat in the hotel itself so I can't comment on that. However, we had breakfast from the market (all fresh produce) and also from a cafe around the corner. Food was reasonable to purchase and of very good quality. Great hairdryer in bathroom but I would bring your own shampoo etc... as those provided, weren't great. There was a carnavil on, so it was noisey to a point but very atmospheric and hence added to our stay rather than causing a problem. The windows do block a good deal of noise but if you are a light sleeper and like it quiet this might not be the hotel for you. If you want to walk out of your hotel room and be convenient to everything then here ticks all your boxes. It is a truely spanish city and it would be a bonus to have a little spanish, although you can get by without! Simply wandering through the cobbled streets u will come across the points of interest hence, we didn't feel the need to get the sightseeing bus. For all you techno people, bring your i-phones as you can wire in to get all the tourist info direct. No.35 bus takes you to the Castle, although you can walk the steep hill if ur feeling fit!!! Walking down you get amazing views of the city. The Fort has free entry on Sun at 2pm and I thought it was beautiful. We went in Feb and I was glad of my coat scarf and boots although I did manage to shed them for part of the time, so come prepared for cooler and pleasent weather in Feb. Hotel staff most helpful.However,web site misleading!!! There is not a roof terrace to use and hasn't been for a number of years so web site should be altered. There were not any magnifying mirrors,the hair dryer was broken,the air conditioning poor and the lighting just awful making reading in bed almost impossible. We were also very annoyed to find that on arrival on 30th Dec at 2pm we were told that the New Years Eve dinner was full.We had never been offfered this when we booked.We were told we wouldn't be allowed in the bar/restaurant/lounge on 31st and all we could have in food would be a sandwich in the bedroom.Whar a way to suggest we spend New Years Eve!! I did point out that a 4star hotel surely could not refuse us bar facaility at least.(All local bars and eateries were closed that evening) The manager did then agree we could have a glass of bubbly in the corner but we were definately 2nd class people. Next day all facilities were closed - no bar ,no food all day and night Just a bed facility Not good for a 4 star rated hotel.I feel the hotel should have warned us about everything for New Year as had we been warned we definately would not have stayed here for 31st Dec. Taking the day out of the equation it is not in any way a 4 stAR hotel.

perfectly positioned in the centre of Malaga, on a wide pedestrianised streel. Altho overlooking the street, our room was quiet, with efficient double glazing, and from the inside of the hotel, double doors to our room ensured there was no corridor noise. The room was well furnished, spotless, and comfortable. No complaints whatsoever.

Booked for location and we were not disappointed - although a 4th floor room with a view of the cathedral helped! Excellent location and only a few minutes to the airport bus stop too. Not more than 10 minutes walk maximum to anywhere of interest in the old town with the cathedral being about 3 minutes away. As mainly pedestrian areas no traffic noise either! Would stay here again without a doubt and would heartily recommend to others. Book it. Now!

We arrived at Room Mate Larios within half an hour of landing at Malaga Airport. The hotel was easy to find, our room was lovely and looked over the main shopping street in Malaga. the receptionist was very welcoming and helpful, pointed us in the right direction to find good restaurants. Half an hour later we were enjoying a fabulous seafood dinner. I would recommend the hotel and would stay there again, the location was amazing, and it was very laid back, offering breakfast until midday and beach towels. Excellent value!

great room with lovely view - the staff very helpful and pleasant -english speaking- very good value breakfast - great location on the main street - good sound proofed windows meant that there was no noise at night- good tourist advice from the staff. Would love to go back one day but hope to stay in another mate hotel in another part of spain

The welcome was open and friendly, all the staff spoke reasonable English. The room was large and clean, opening out onto Calle Maques de Larios the main pedestrian area in Central Malaga, great location.

Excellent location and friendly all round. Very satified and will be back ASAP. Great value.

Don't just think of Malaga as an airport ....it is a fabulous city especially in the 'old town' and well worth a couple of nights at least.A very convenient hotel is this one as it is on the main pedestrianised shopping street in Malaga, Calle Larios. It is a fairly standard city centre hotel but clean and modern inside but its main attraction is its location.

Hotel is on a lovely pedestrian mall, easy walking distance to cathedral, castle, waterfront, numerous shops and restaurants. (There is no access to the hotel by car, which should be noted in the information on line. We spent a long time in search of the street, not realizing we had to be on foot to reach it.) Very clean hotel, well-appointed. Also, we happened to be there during the annual Feria--thousands of people celebrating in the mall below our windows--and yet the room was quiet.

This was our second visit to Room Mate Larios and we were not disappointed, the hotel is in an excellent location for shopping and sightseeing. It is very clean, the reception staff helpful and breakfast is adequate, we will stay again next time we visit Malaga.

is an excellent city centre hotel for a few nights break.Its location in the centre of the old city but close to all the shopping you could need is perfect. the breakfast is very good and is included in the price of the room . we would certainly use the hotel again.

The best thing about this hotel is its superb location, and it is within walk of the train station, so transfer to and from the airport is very economical. We were, however slightly disappointed with the hotel. The room was lovely, but the breakfast was not as good as we have had at another hotel in Malaga, which was cheaper. The bar, which doubles up as the breakfast room, is a bit of a non-event...no bartender and no customers while we were there. We like a hotel bar where you can get a nice gin and tonic in an amicable atmosphere before going out in the evening. There was an electrical extension lead trailing across the floor at breakfast, which was, at best, inconvenient, at worst, dangerous. This was for the breakfast bar in the centre of the room. Also, next to our table were some very nice lilies in a vase on a shelf, which gradually died and were then left for at least two days with flowers dropping on to the floor....very off-putting, as it implied noone had cleaned the room. When I mentioned this to one of the breakfast staff, she wasn't really interested, and certainly did not do anything about it. The hotel is not cheap, so I did expect some attention to detail.

excellent central location,helpful friendly staff,cool chic room and furnishings,unhurried homely breakfast make this hotel very attractive if visiting Malaga for a few days.

Great Location though because of that can get a little noisy in the early hours. Lovely staff - very helpful and lovely rooms.

Estancia agradable, el personal muy atento, cerca de los principales monumentos. Recomendable para quienes quieran conocer Málaga a pie.

Vi havde et par gode dage i Malaga. Hotellet er ok. Personalet meget opmærksomme. Grunden til at værelsets komfort trækker ned er, at arkitekten til dette hotel har besluttet, at alt skal være sort og hvidt også lampeskærmene der var sorte, hvilket betyder man ikke kan læse om aftenen. I receptionen tilbød de at tage skærmene af og lånte os en yderligere lampe. Vi fornemmede at hotellet i forvejen kendte problemet, men intet kunne stille op.

Buen hotel a precio asequible para disfrutar del centro de Malaga. Buena comunicación mediante transporte publico.

Veldig bra plassering, stille, rent og god seng. Bor der gjerne igjen.

Vi har hus i Miijas komune og ne ofte nedover. Denne gangen bestemte vi en tur til Malaga med et vennepar for å utforske byen. Et veldig fint opphold på hotellet, fin beliggenhet og ikke minst en spennende by som er verdt å se. Vi kommer igjen !

When I order the room I read at hotels.com reviews and it was mentioned that they had good breakfast. Not my opinion. Breakfast was cheap and not mutch effort in it, can't blame the personell because there was only one person that had breakfast service, alone running his ass off trying to refill things. Except for the breakfast and the jacuzzi not working, everything was very good. But the distances in this city is not so far, so every hotel in the city center is close to everything.

Super bra läge om man vill bo mitt i smeten... Nära till allt...cafe/shopping/nattklubbar.. Trevlig personal...

Fräscht, modernt hotell i idealiskt läge alldeles vid torget och huvudgågatan med all shopping. Fördel att vi fick rum längst upp på 4:e våningen eftersom det är en stojig gata.

Mycket fint hotell med perfekt läge. Nära till restauranger och sevärdheter. 100m promenad från taxisläpp till hotell.

Proche de tous les sites touristiques,facilité d'accès de l'aéroport,si vous voyagé en voiture parking au bout de la rue,le soir de nombreux bars et restaurants et la vie espagnole au pied de l'hôtel .Nos 2 jours à Malaga furent un vrai moment de plaisir.

thumbs up for the room and the staff. but the restaurant/bar was always closed -and so was the terrasse. location is great, near all the important monuments and great restaurants nearby. all in all a pleasant stay.

Super placering. Kan ikke være mere i centrum af byen. Udsigt over gågaden og torvet med meget liv. Dog ingen gener af støj ud over hvad der kan forventes i centrum. Rigtig god plads på værelset. God og venlig betjening. Et fund til prisen. Eneste ulempe er at taxi ikke kan køre til døren. Er ikke handicap egnet (trapper).

Anfahrt mit Auto trotz Beschreibung auf Hotel-Hompage nicht möglich. Auskunft im Hotel sehr gut! Leider kein spanisches, sondern internationales Frühstück.

Hotellet ligger supergodt, på byens prominente hovedstrøg ganske tæt ved Plaza de la Constitución. Det har alt, hvad vi har brug for til et storbyophold. Der er en god atmosfære og venlig betjening. Eneste umiddelbare minus er, at en del værelser har udsigt til en baggård o.l.

Vi är helnöjda med vår vistelse på Larios i Malaga. Perfekt läge. Super bra rum. Bra frukost. Läcker bar med terrass. Möjligen skulle man kunnat önska en charmigare servicepersonal i frukostmatsalen.
