We had a wonderful stay. the breakfast is not very good. other than that it wa great.

The pool was so cloudy and dirty that we dared not swim. The hot tub had scum circling the edges. We complained, but the hotel didn't want to clean the pool because they had a group of kids staying for the weekend. The walls are thin so we couldn't sleep with all the noise. Plus we didn't get towels - even after we called twice. The food is overpriced and look horrid. We ate at local restaurants. This hotel caters to large groups so if you like quiet you will not get it. Plus they will not clean the pool until the kids leave.

Reasonable price, beds a bit uncomfotable, tv channels very limited, noisy in the corridor, clean bathrooms

Large rooms, comfortable beds, on site restaurant and bar, and 3 hot tubs. Key qualities for a bunch of skiers. 8 min drive from Stowe. Definitely would stay there again.

Came here with 2 of my friends to go skiing. We are all 18 so we had a small budget and this place fit the bill while also having saunas and hot tubs. Had everything we needed with internet, indoor pool, nice lobby and TV. Staff were friendly, however the hotel was in need of a little renovation but overall great place. We took the shuttle to the mountain everyday and worked out fine.

It was a good stay for New Years. Minor glitches here and there, but nothing that would stop me from coming back. The restaurant was outstanding, especially to your bartender Pierre. You are VERY lucky to have someone like him working for you :) One of the best services I have experienced, and I deal with it Customer Service everyday, and he did an outstanding job with our party from Canada. Thank you!

It was fine.

Very friendly hotel, comfortable and good food. Restaurant was closed due to hurricane, but bar meals were great. Really enjoyed the stay.

The rugs need to be replaced. The bathrooms need updating. The beds are squeeking and are not comfortable. The bedding is old and needs to be replaced. The breakfast food was awful. The breakfast was buffet style. The sausage smelled bad and the eggs were over cooked.

Staff friendly and efficient. Liked the pool. Bed too hard. Room OK, everything worked. Restaurant food tasted good, but one of us had intestinal problem in early AM & remembered lack of a "sneeze guard" on salad bar. (one who ate nothing from salad bar was fine) While in restaurant heard another diner complain about undercooked meat from buffet...Staff very apologetic & immediately took plate & told diner to get new plate & check meat for color/doneness; he also told them something about having talked to kitchen staff. At end of their meal the diner complained again & staff offered free coffee & something else. From a distance it appeared the staff person handled it carefully & professionally.

Wonderful place to stay. Cider and cookies in the lobby along with a tv and beautiful fireplace. Room is large and well appointed. Evening buffet in the restaurant was outstanding.

Our room was next to the pool and had a hum through the wall, enough to give both my husband and myself headaches. The wi-fi was not working the first night and too slow the second night to download a magazine in less than a half hour. Privacy for the bathroom was a slow, heavy, noisy sliding pocket door- just loud enough to alert anyone sleeping that you needed the restroom. We were woken by a fire alarm in the middle of the night. Then we were woken up by an excessive amount of cologne from the air vent. Clean was the only positive.

I must say when we got off the highway to go there I was wondering what type of place we were going to get but when I got there it was such a surprise. Very nice place in beautiful surrundings It has a pool inside and outside and a pond in the back which you can kayak. Friendly hosts, even the owner is there.

good location if you want to visit ben and gerry's and all the nice stuff in vermont.good view also during fall folliage.problem is must arrive early coz parking is limited.

Hotel was nice, great large screen TV in the lobby/lounge area with fireplace for relaxing out of your room. Lake is really a pond but they have model boat races a couple nights a week if you are there. No breakfast included but buffet for $6 per at the restaurant was adequate and tasty. Would stay here again if in the area.

Older style hotel but with a somewhat charming ambiance. Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious rooms, large foyer with fireplace, good-sized dining room with buffet. Reasonably close to town centre.

The Commodores Inn is well located but when compared to other hotels at the same price in the area and current standards it is a bit behind. The hotel itself was clean, but basic amenities such as an ironing board, hair dryer etc. were on request from the desk. The rooms and decorating in the building itself are circa 1980's.

This hotel looks lovely from the outside. Once inside, you see how dated it is. Front desk staff were friendly. The hallway to our room had a strange odor, thankfully it didn't creep into the room. The hallways were lined with plastic floor plants and plastic vines in hanging baskets, all loaded with dust. The king bed was close to the floor, as if it weren't on a frame. Hard as a rock too, our backs ached the entire time of our stay. Old dated bed linens graced the bed. There was a fridge, but no microwave or coffeemaker, nor hairdryer or ironing board. (the last two items can be requested at the desk tho) The restaurant is dismal - again dated with about 42 hanging swag type hanging lights, with wicker dust catcher shades, and their long chains holding the ceiling in bondage. When we asked the gal at the desk about the dinner buffet, she gave a shrug and said "It's ok if you like that kind of stuff," unenthusiastically. The bathroom remains dark for the first several minutes of your shower until the pigtail light bulb warms up. Not a good choice of bulb for a bathroom.Furniture was old and scratched up. Old style big TVs, no flat screens and funky lighting in the room. I would not rate this hotel as 'excellent' as others have, unless you like staying in a time capsule stuck in the 70s. They SERIOUSLY need to renovate

Very easy to find, very welcoming reception and lovely place. Evening buffet and breakfast were excellent value for money and delicious.

Nice stay. Handicap room should have easy access to shower w/o a step up to get in.

Old furniture in bad condition. Cold water after one shower. Carpets felt very dirty, just old. Staff was fine. Just needs a good renovation !

The hotel is conveniently located and easy to find. The staff is very good - friendly,helpful & knowledgeable of the area. The room was certainly clean, properly prepared for us and a good size for 2 people. A good breakfast was presented in the morning and well looked after by staff.

Rooms are very modest and older, but overall the hotel is a great place for a family. Our kids loved canoing and kayaking on the lake and watching the model sailboat races. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Food was good.

Our stay overall was really good. The staff was amazing, especially in the dining room. We were very well taken care of at all times. The atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable. We could use the kayaks whenever we liked, sit out n the deck whether we were there to eat or just enjoying the gorgeous view, and use of the very clean pools. The lobby is set up like a huge living room with a large screen TV (which was handy when our 3 yr. was awake at 6am and I wanted to let the rest of the family sleep!) There was a 24hr. coffee/tea service set up to help yourself and refreshments in the lobby all day. Great family friendly place.

only negative was one bed of the two in our room seemedlike it wasn't made fresh. Other than that, we were very impressed with the facility and the service. Room rate was more than reasonable for what was offered.

This is our second visit with in a year. The best asset they have is their staff, all very friendly and helpful. The rooms and public areas were clean, but are in need of updating. Wallpaper and room furniture are showing wear. We loved the 2 pools and Jacuzzi, and the boats on the pond were added fun! After a day of hiking and biking it was great to relax on the spacious deck with a drink from the bar. The breakfast buffet was a deal, and convenient. The dinning room needed updating, chairs & light fixtures, specifically. Our kids love the place, so we will stay again, if we are in the area again.

Really enjoyed it - set meal was a bit average but facilities were good and there's not many places you can kayak before dinner!

very comfortable

This is my wife's first stay at the Commodore, but I have stayed there a number of times because of my occupation. As usual this hotel is very satisfactory with scenic back side of hotel that is quite relaxing watching the fish jump out of the water. We had the morning buffet breakfast and left filled and pretty darn happy with the overall experience. Would definetely return under any circumstances.

Clean and close to the Ben and Jerrys factory

I think it's time for the hotel to update it's rooms- new beds and TV's.

The stay was A OK, my only complaint is that at the inside pool room, around the jaccuzi there was dirt accumulated ... this should be cleaned in order to make it more interested to go into it.

we enjoyed our stay . Very happy with the accomodations. Room was nice, clean and staff was very accommodationg to our needs. Dining room buffet and food was very good. would recommend to anyone.
