Jewel Runaway Bay Beach & Golf Resort - رنواي باي

This resort offers a variety of room packages. We choose the plunge pool suite and were very pleased, especially after a hot morning on the golf course, gym, or tennis courts. It is an all-inclusive that offers high quality and accessible amenities. From check-in to cleanliness to entertainment to activities and especially staff we were in awe. The Jewel staff will make your stay amazing. The beaches and water are to die for and we especially liked the quality of the golf services and tennis. You are dealing with pros. You will feel like part of their family and be pampered and fed a delicious variety of food. There is never a minute in the day where food is not available either at a restaurant, buffet, pizzeria, beach grill, or room service. This is the place to go.

I had the most awesome time here. The staff were excellent. The resort was clean, food was delicious, room was clean. I really enjoyed my stay and seriously thought about extending my stay.

Very nice stay. Would recommend to others. Staff go out of their way to accomodate and help you. Only problem was our room was'nt cleanned one day. There was a mix up and they offered to clean it at seven that evening and we refused. Not a big problem. Food was great, only problem was we felt rushed in the Japanese resturant. Italian restaurant is fabulous. Will be back.

The staff were wonderful,helpful and friendly. The Childrens club had great staff and activities. The beach was nice and so were the pools. The food was good especially the leg of lamb,I sent my compliments to the chef. The entertainment was above average and I would highly recommend this hotel to other families

We have travelled to many all inclusives in Mexico, Jamaica and Dominican. We do our research in advace and generally dont get surprised much when we visit the resort. This resort is certainly an excpetion and we were very disappointed. If you are expecting a 2 or 2.5 star resort then you wont be disappointed. However, if your expectation is any higher you will have a shock. Resort is dated, rooms are in terrible condition, beech is tiny. Food is good if you like touch of local flavor. They don't spend on entertainment. Feels like they make their regular staff do double duty as entertainers. Staff is nice, we liked food and we made our own fun and enjoyed our stay. Bottom line: It all depends upon how much you spend and what you get for your money. In general, you can get a much better resort for the same amount of money. Then again, you may have a great deal.

Near Ochoa where all of the activities take place, so easy to Food options limited. Variety missing. The exclusive restaurants were so so in the food, same as buffet food served to you. Kids play area is good and the day care staff are very friendly

Overall the physical hotel was fabulous. Hotel design of the hotel encouraged the guest to enjoy the beach and graden areas. The hammocks are great. Spa facilities need an updgrade. Cabana set up not conducive for relaxation and spa get away. Food at italian restaurant wasn't good. The Japanese restaurant was the best. New Years buffet wasn't that great. Menu needed more diversity.

the hotel staff was great, they always greet you with a hi, hello or " hi my lady" the only issue i had was that the the patio door on the room did not lock, we spend 3 nights no been able to lock the door, i reported it 3 times, and once they came in and "fixed" the door, but after the maintence crew left we unlock the door, and the door was still broken

First day was awful, room was dirty,damp and smelled. the fridge did not even have water in it and I finally got some water at 23:30. The first hotel I have been to without room service. The next day an amazing lady called Stacy sorted me out with an wonderful room, kept intouch throughout my stay, to make sure everything was ok. Then even sent me champagne. My housekeeper was a darling. Entertainment was superb and most of the staff were amazing. Beach was nice, clean, but lacked clean loungers and sun shades Restaurants had nice food & great staff. Hopefully 'Jewel' will do something to bring those dreadful rooms up to date and put air conditioning into the public areas. So perhaps it is a work in progress right now, hopefully for the better.

Great resort-Superior service and friendliness. Entertainment was fantastic. Food was amazing. The water sports were great with everything included ...ie..Water Skiing, Scuba dives, Sailing, Catamaran rides......Hotel is older but very clean and no complaints.

We have been to several hotels around Jamaica - usually choosing one that is child friendly for our toddler. However, this holiday was was a break away on our own courtesy of the baby sitting services of Granny, so we decided to choose a resort where kids can not stay. We found the hotel relaxing and unassuming. Not quite as "new and sparkly" as some of the newer resorts but well maintained and fairly small so that you didnt feel swallowed up like you can tend to feel in the RIU or Bahia resorts. The staff were really friendly and eager to please. And the food was of a good quality - especially in the a la carte restaurants. Definitely recommend the Japanese where the cooks put on an amazing show! Entertainment was good, loved the piano bar idea where you can all sing along sort of like a high class karaoke :o) Would definitely go back.....if we get another opportunity to go it alone without our little one! The only downside I can think of is the location. We had a hire car and know the area so we didnt feel bound by the hotel. However, Runaway Bay is not really near any large towns so if you want to venture out and experience a touch of real Jamaica then this could be a problem. If you just want to arrive and kick off your shoes, however, this wouldnt be a problem.

Det er et utroligt flot sted og alt fungere på hotellet, selvom der er et rimeligt stort sted,er der altid plads i resturanter,barer og omkring poolen(3 store) en med bar i vandet selve resturanterne er virkkelig godt forberedt på gæster, og et meget hjælpsom personale er der overalt, altid et smil og tid til en snak.. Det var 3 gang vi var der på 3 måneder, og vi kommer helt sikkert tilbage igen
