nice hotel for the money. Just in for one night and staff was friendly, room clean and bed comfortable.

Everything was very good at the Holiday Inn express. It is a new hotel, and all around great. You do pay for the privilege, but the hotel is not out of line with local pricing (read also: the Berkshires are expensive). Breakfast quality was satisfactory without being excellent.

My room was very large with 2 rooms. It smelled as I walked into the room like it had not been used in some time. It was an old smell. The cleanliness was OK but the furniture was old and looked it. The staff were very friendly. The pool area looked inviting but the exercise room was small. It was OK due to the brewery across the street and after a long business day it was much appreciated.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and warm room. Very kid-friendly, great hot breakfast in the morning. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub too! Would recommend anytime!

This hotel was clean, comfortable and accommodating. Staff was pleasant and helpful. It was also minutes from a number of great sites and attractions in the Berkshires. While the immediate area surrounding the hotel doesn't offer much, you are a short drive to Lenox, Lee and downtown Great Barrington where restaurants, shopping, museums, hiking and other attractions abound.

The holiday inn express in great Harrington was in a good location. Not happy with the room. The bed looked like someone had laid on it,it was not neatly made, the pillows were just randomly thrown at the head of the bed. Breakfast ok. We stayed here last yr and were happier.

Convenient location for our points of interest Clean and comfortable facility Friendly service We'll be back next year for our girl's weekend!

Love this hotel - perfect for our golf tournaments in the Berkshires (Pittsfield, Wyantenuck, Stockbridge). However, it disappointed us when it doubled its rates on July 4th for the James Taylor concert. We would have stayed 2 nights, but that was ridiculous. We come up three times during the summer and know lots of other people who would enjoy the hotel if we could get special rates.

This place was dirty and smelled musty. Worst place I've stayed at this year.

We wanted to ride up to Massachusetts on the motorcycle & stay in Great Barrington overnite. The hotel is not in the downtown area but there is a nice pub/restaurant across the street which we walked over to. Few other things around - antiques across street etc. As for hotel, newer & nice, clean. Front desk people very nice. Little mix up with room & they were very accomodating making the change. We booked room with fireplace & jaccuzzi "fireplace" gave a warm atmosphere (it was overcast & a bit chilly out) and jaccuzzi was fine to relax in. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was more than adequate - lots of choices. Enjoyed our stay.

Fit our needs as we ski for two days at Buttnernut. Room was fine, service was friendly, breakfast was superb and the gentleman who runs the breakfast was simply the best.

The staff was wonderful and made our stay during a difficult time much nicer.

May not be important to everyone but the selection & price of items in vending machines were excellent!

The hotel was conveniently located 1/2 hour from Tanglewood. It was clean, quiet, and well-maintained. The beds were comfortable. We did not try the swimming pool or the complementary breakfast, but both were available.

We were very pleased with our weekend stay at HI Express in Great Barrington. Most important, the rooms and service were outstanding. Next, the location was optimal: (i) across or down street from Barrington Brewery, Price Chopper Supermarket, KMart, Dollar Store, and other shopping conveniences; (ii) Monument Mountain hiking; (iii) downtown Great Barrington, particularly dining at Bizen Japanese restaurant; (iv) Norman Rockwell Museum; and (v) Tanglewood. Finally, the breakfast was plentiful, and the indoor swimming pool was great for the kids!

The staff at check n was more than helpful with all of our requests. He was very friendly, and made us feel more than welcome. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We had a good stay. Booked a suite. No frills but clean and comfortable. Hotel staff were very cordial and helpful. I would recommend the hotel. Will stay there again if I am in the area. Breakfast was adequate, plenty to eat and the coffee was great. Hotel was near all of the attractions, i.e. Rockwell Museum, etc.

The hotel was clean and well maintained if somewhat sterile in the corporate mode. A bit expensive for what you get, but it was fall color season (pre-peak). It is in a convenient location on the north end of Great Barrington with adequate parking and a friendly staff. If you don't make plans well ahead of time for a nice inn, this is a decent option.

We ended up in a room that smelled awful for some reason but I have to say the hotel staff was very accommodating in changing the room for us even though it was booked. I thought the shower was weak and the price was way too high for the stay we had.

Hotel is professionally run by the most organized, hospitable and accommodating staff imaginable. Wonderful breakfast and personalized service. We have stayed here twice and look forward to many future visits.

This hotel was comfortable and clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. I have only positive things to say about this stay.

We've been to the Berkshires many times and usually enjoy staying at the many quaint B&Bs. But a last-minute opportunity during the height of the tourist season arose and we took the chance of booking a 2-night stay at the Great Barrington Holiday Inn Express. The staff is friendly and accommodating, allowing me to store my bicycle behind the office. The price booked via Hotels.com was about 50% less than what Holiday Inn central reservations quoted. The breakfast is mass produced and nondescript, but then our expectations were low. If you're passing through the area, it's a perfectly fine place to stay -- especially suitable for families.

Clean and comfortable

Rooms are large (I had a suite) but very modest. Hotel is away from downtown so you are not walking to dinner. Breakfast was pleasant with a reasonable number of options.

Hotel qui ne convient pas quand on veut rester 2 ou 3 jours. Pas de confort dans les chambres: les fenêtres ne s'ouvrent pas donc l'air est regénéré que par climatiseur!
