Disneyland, Disneyland, and Disneyland from a cute hotel that is quick to handle any issues with a friendly staff

The wonderful scent of flowers greeted us at the hotel and throughout the short walk to the convention center (or Disneyland although we didn't go there this time). The room was comfortable although the bathtub area could use a little update; it was clean. The service was nice and the area quiet.

Our room was comfortable, within walking distance of restaurants (Denny;s and Cocoa's), Disney Land, the Connvention Center and the front desk persons were helpful. The hot tub was a welcome feature after a full day of walking. We had a bit of trouble with the room keys. We exchanged keys amd the new ones worked better, but not great. We learned how to giggle the key and the other person grab the handle to gain entry. I think the key readers need to be serviced. Our television set did not work, which was not a problem for us because we were out of the room most all of the 4 days we stayed there. We did get WIFI in the room and on the balcony just outside the door. I would recommend this place if you are needing a reasonably priced place to sleep and shower!

We shared the room with a spider the room needed updating . The door locked did not work right. It was below average. But the staff was very nice

be wary of noise if staying in front part of building....wifi was very spotty and parking was very iffy on the weekend

Hotel is walking distance to Disney and a handfull of places to eat. The price was right for the type of accommodation we were after. Rooms are sizeable with a fridge and microwave, however they are not modern and the free wifi was a very weak. More importantly they were neat and clean. Staff are friendly and we were lucky enough to be able to check in early, which was great after the long flight!

For the price that we paid was good, location, services and cleanlines. Just only I can said is the rooms need to be painting, after that everything was fine.

We had a ground floor room , the moment we walked into the hotel area , I knew we had made a mistake.On entering our room it was un-vacumed , shabby , dirty , paint peeling of a wall and front door.One of the beds had food and other curly things in the sheets. We choose this Hotel on PRICE , what more can I say !!!, we left the next day and went to Holiday Inn Express at Anaheim.

Hotel is in bad shape, the first room we were given did not have a working AC and it was hot! I think the hotel need to be completely renovated, especially after eorking in hotels in downtown San Francisco, it is a great location but The service is really bad, the night auditors were great, friendly and helpful, the rest of the front desk staff was horrible, the price was too high for the service and the way the hotel is!

Very close to Disneyland with several good restaurants close by. The room was pretty clean. I will definetly stay here again.

Not happy with the room. The plug on the hair dryer was broken and the light bulb in the bathroom for the heat lamp didn't work and the fixture was rusted. The screen in the bathroom for the window is missing. The shower head needs to be replaced and the bathroom sink has a crack in it and has a very slow drain and when backed up you can smell a fowl sewer like stench. The air-conditioning was way to high for me to reach to be able to adjust the temperature. Please take these comments in to consideration and make some changes. For the most part the price and location is great but the quality of the room means alot to me and I was not satisfied at all with the room conditions.

It was great, but beds were in need of replacing. You can tell it was an older hotel that hasn't had a major redo for a long time, but clean and handy to the park within eyesight.

Bed Bugs, boogers on walls

Paint tape on the door, television from some unknown yer and company. A fa mily in the lobby as I'm checking in complaining of cockroaches. The fridge ticked constantly and the unit next to the tv was falling off the wall. #217

Alamo Inn is located in nice area but hotel is old and is not well kept. Looks like they changed appartment building to hotel.

Other than the fact that this motel is pretty close to Disneyland it was the WORSE motel I have ever stayed in ever. We got to the hotel to fnd out that the water in our area was off, I was told there was a continental breakfast which there was not. We got back to the hotel after a night at downtown Disney and I wet to give my kids a shower. The water finally worked but it was COLD!! After 4 nights we never did figure out how to get a warm shower it was freezing cold or scalding hot. Each morning at 6:30 am we were woken up to the sound of the garbage truck that was getting the trash bins from under our window. (We were on the second story and our room overlooked that beautiful trash bin.) Other than the fact that it serve its purpose as a place to sleep after a day at Disneyland it was the worse experience ever. I would never recommend this motel to anyone. P.S. We were woke up to screaming kids running up and down the hall at midnight as well. Enter with caution!!

Stains on the carpet, walls, sheets, towels and shower. A/C unit had a inch thick of dust built up on the filter. The ice machine very worked, TV's are out dated. Our first night someone dig dong ditched us twice late at night. Though some of the towels and sheets had small stains. They smelled like beach so it was comforting to use them. Bed was comfortable, But being at Disneyland all day i would have slept on the stained carpet! Hot tub did work. but, i soon got out when it started to foam up yellow with dirt grim on top of it.

We stayed here at Alamo for about 6 nights during our trip to Disneyland. You get what you paid for. Room is out of date, hot water was insufficient (if you plan on showering in the am it runs out). Distance from this hotel to disneyland was very close its right around the corner. There HOT TUB was great for being such an old hotel it was indoor which made it even better fits at least 10-12 ppl. We didn't mind much about the hotel because we were in disneyland the whole time. So all we needed was a bed to come too. All in all hotel was an okay place to stay in.

We paid for queen size beds but was given full size beds. Had to have Hotels.com help us with our late check inbecause the women answering the hotel phone was rude. The walls in the bathroom needed repairs because they were crumbling. I look at like this, the beds worked, I only slept and showered in the room and the bathroom walls didnt prevent the shower from working. The shower had hot water. The two hotel clerks I dealt with once I got to the hotel were very nice. YES the towels are ruff but they are clean. The room was large. The carpet is dirty but that goes with the walls. It is close to the park and we could of walked but we parked for free so we saved our feet. For the money we paid a night the good out did the bad and we would stay again but we are bringing house slippers and towels.

The rate was cheap, but it was reflected in the condition of the hotel. There was no bolt on the door, and the dead bolt was part of the doorlock, so anyone with a programmable cardkey could've gotten in at any time. The room was clean enough, but the walls had all kinds of scuff marks and odd stains, and there was spatter on the ceiling, from what who knows. Staff was friendly and hotel was very convenient to the Disney parks.

Good position to stay if you want to go to disneyland. Free wifi internet almost dead in every evening and it will be back online in the morning. No Mcdonalds nearby only Coco's and Denny's. Inside room is not new but good enough for the price. I found mite at the desk beside the bed. If you stay at 1st floor you may get disturbing from the car door slamming and car starting or stopping in front of the room you're staying. Receptions are nice, friendly and helpful.

This place right for the price and location. But don't expect much...better to go in with low expectations than high. You will be much more satisfied.

Long curly hair were all over the towels and sheet was dirty and had hole. I won't recommend to stay here.

I wouldn't say rat hole, but it's not that great. Pretty old and run down. You get what you pay for!

Was about a 5 minute walk to Disneyland, which saved on parking fees. But during our 6 day stay. One room the air conditioner went out and had to wait about 24 hours before they fixed it. The other room the microwave didn't work, but was replaced within reasonable time. Also same room all the power went out so was unable to finish getting ready to go to Disneyland that day, had to go with hair not finished, etc. The shower water problem was solved pretty easy, just turn the knob counter-clockwise, but only ¼ turn @ a time until hot as you want it. The place is a little run down, but for the price and location you can't complain too much. Just wish they would of gave us some kind of discount for all our troubles, which were all maintenance issues.

The location of the motel is awesome...but, the service and amendaties...could use some serious improvement. Towels where worned down, and could only be use once...Decor need some serious color & upgrade...sidewalks had puddles, and very slippery side walks/walk-ways (safety hazard), and the parking, though free...ugh, tight squeeze. Bottom line...you pay for what you get.

My room smelled of mildew and the ceiling in the bathroom leaked after it rained I was in room 224. It was quiet and I slept very good. But the odor was way bad.

Sheets were clean. Location good. Nothing else to recommend this hotel. Took lukewarm shower two mornings in a row - friends in another room said their shower were scalding hot. You can hear the zippers on suitcases being unzipped in the rooms next to you. Towel bar hanging down - attached at one side only. Everything is run down - I didn't want to touch anything. I drove 2 1/1 hours home to spend the night and 2 1/2 hours back the next morning, rather than stay a 3rd night. Yuck!

Stayed here mostly because all other rooms close by were booked. Needs some repair and maintenance. Everything works and staff at front desk were somewhat helpful, but just a little shabby for the price. No breakfast but Denny's is next door. Advice to the wise, look earlier.

The room smelled like its been over-disinfected. The sheets and blankets are scratchy. The walls are paper-thin so you can hear pretty much EVERYTHING happening in the rooms next to you. The wireless is a lie - they have three wifis, all named the same thing, and only one works. If doesn't work often, though - can almost never connect, and since I needed to work from the road this was a problem. Shell out the extra bucks and go somewhere nice.

The hotel staff was VERY helpful and friendly. They were very willing to give us extra towels, blankets and trash bags. The hotel itself was just old. Cracked shower floor, dirty floors within the hotel, VERY old tv. However, my bed was comfy, my pillows were fluffy and the fridge and microwave worked great. It's fairly far from Disneyland itself but the walk is shorter if you go through The California hotel. You can also ride the tram which picks you up down the street at the next hotel. It's $4/day or $3 per ride. All in all, it wasn't a bad stay. You get what you pay for. It wasn't a grand hotel but it was decent enough to sleep in after a long day at the park.

Was roomy close to Disneyland but without the Disneyland hotel prices

The overall experience was decent and convenient for my boyfriend and I since we were attending wonder con. I was a little disgusted with the room floor because of all the stains and sticky feeling every time I would walk barefoot. The bathroom door had some paint peeled off and the wall wasn't even painted one solid color. My assumption was they were revamping the room but decided not to finish it. And one last thing that annoyed both my boyfriend and myself was that there was no hot water, given since that weekend of wonder con was freaking freezing!! Other than that, the location was awesome since it was only like a block away from the convention center and disneyland! The bed was incredibly huge and comfortable which is great after a long day of walking! Overall I would stay here again just for the price but if you're nick picky like myself I would recommend just spend a little extra and get a nicer hotel room.

This hotel lacks maintenance and needs a total refurbishment. Shower was broken, toilet was broken, power outlets were broken. The Wifi was not working (superslow). Sorry, I would definitely not recommend this hotel.

I was hoping for better, it looked nice on the outside. I did not receive either of my wake up calls, the room I stayed in was rather dingy, and one morning I waited for an hour for hot water. After I called the front desk, it miraculously started working, and I was told "the boiler was working fine, I don't know what was wrong" Just lousy all around, AVOID at all costs!

this expirians was horrable are family went on a trip an the hottel ruined ,it we spent most of are day at the hottel than at disneyland. switching rooms and commplaining about all the problems. when we arrived a towel had blood and pubic hairs no wash clothes we askea for some we got hand towels the toilet up stairs leaked all over our bathroom,you could see where they patced the ceiling before,they had us switch rooms at 1;30am the room was twice as small than what we paid forruined our whol trip . we spent one half days instead of 3 days at disneyland

This is the third time I have stayed at the Alamo Inn. For the price it is the most reasonable hotel within walking distance besides Eden Roc. I got two queen beds but get a smaller bathroom than compared to just getting one queen bed. This was the first time I had a problem not having hot water. Stayed 7 days, had to wait 15 minutes for water to heat back up on two of the days. Hotel is nice and quiet even staying in room along the north wing facing W. Katella ave. I have stayed at Fairfield inn (Too Pricey, but close to entrance), Ramada Maingate (Close but have raised their prices), Anaheim Plaza (Ok and close, but choose Alamo Inn when We stay more than a few days). There is Dennys real close, but we really like Marri's Pizza a couple businesses to the west. Its also nice to have Wonderland conveinience (Liquor store a couple businesses east also) As in a previous review it is easiest to walk to disneyland within 12-15minutes if you cut through the Grand Californian Hotel to get to Downtown Disney. This time the towles were a little on the rough side. For the money we save we can buy new towels and still be way ahead. This hotel has rates usually half of hotels nearby.

For the event "one more day of disney," I booked out hotels too late and had no other choice(for a decent price), than to stay at the Alamo. The employees were great but the rooms were horrible. Our first room smelled like it hadn't been cleaned in a while, the rod for the drapes were broken, and the door was hard to close. Did not feel comfortable at all, yet the distance from the park was great. Our second room still smelled the same, the rod or the drapes were broken as well but I managed to get them closed unlike the first room, and the door was still hard to close. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, if you are looking to stay at a hotel for a decent price, at least stay at super 8.

I realize this was a discount hotel and I was not expecting luxury but I was expecting a clean room and hot water and I didn't have either. The room smelled of mildew and was not clean. Also the hot water was not working properly and the maintaince had to come fix it more than once. I would not stay in this hotel again.

Light switch needed to be played with in order to use, feels like a short in the wiring not safe at all. toilet ran all the time, water only dripped from shower, air conditioning took a long time to kick in, meantime, heat blew, room was dusty, and windows were nailed shut, in case of fire in hallway, no escape. Matress was comfortable and bed was clean.

the room itself was ok, the beds were hard, paint peeling from the doors, the water faucet in the bathtub couldnt be shut off all the way, no fan in the bathroom so when you took a shower, the condensation would form on the ceiling and walls and drip on you. the complimentary shampoo was in a bag, so was very hard to open esp. when your hands were wet. conviently located, walking distance to disneyland. oh yah the t.v. had broken knobs.
