The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa - سونوما

Came up for a few nights with two other couples and we were not dissapointed in any aspect (as we knew it wasn't super close to downtown). Our bed was amazing and so comfortable, our room had a fire place. We took advantage of the shuttle to down town on Friday when we arrived in town, which was a huge help. The staff here really set them apart - from the shuttle driver to the valet to the sweet waitress scoping the lobby for drink and food orders, everyone was nice and helpful, and not at all stuffy. They are really into dogs too, which was nice to see at such a beautiful property. Would love to come back if hotels.com offers such amazing rates in the future! After a day of wine tasting we spent the next day at the bath house relaxing and recouperating after breakfast. A day in heaven!

This was my second stay at the hotel. What stands out is the high thread count of the sheets, comfort of the bed, cleanliness, the lobby with the fireplace and the bathroom with a stand alone marble topped table that includes the sink. Everything was high quality yet comfortable. The surrounding area gets only a 4 because nothing is within walking distance. It is a short drive to downtown Sonoma which is a great area.

Lovely welcoming lounge area great for wine tasting and relaxing. Spa was beautiful and luxurious though the phone line for booking treatments was constantly unavailable- we didn't mind though as the prices for treatments were the highest I have ever seen. Friendly recption staff and great servicing of the room. Grounds were charming and the location is great for the wine country. Handy shuttle into Sonoma. Overall a wonderful choice for a restorative break.

We liked it. For us and having a very active day was great. Took advantage of a winter special. The room was overly small, but we didn’t care. We were tired from the days activities. The bed was great, service good. The grounds very nice. The spa look very nice…next time. I would recommend no more than a few c notes at best per night. I was disappointed to see no complimentary coffee in the lobby in the mornings, especially being a Fairmont. Over all I give a strong 4 stars.

I had the worst sleeping experience due to the loud heating system. There is no way that a Suite for the price that I paid should have a heating system that you can hear let alone not being able to sleep through.

Classic property with welcoming, attentive, and competent staff. The property is convenient to Napa and Sonoma Wine Country. Sante Restaurant in hotel was excellent. The hotel is cloistered but adjacent neighborhood is not terribly inviting.

We stayed at one of the Mission Suites at the Fairmont, and I must say, it was the most romantic rooms i have ever stayed in. The ambiance and decor. The fireplace. The Jacuzzi in the bedroom. I plan to go again very soon.

My wife and I spent a long weekend a t the Fairmont Sonoma. Initially it was not what we expected but the customer services was very good. SInce we didn't like our room, we requested a new one on a very busy weekend and they did their best to accommodate us in a different one. After the second day they made the change. We had to pay for the upgrade but it was worth it since we were with our dog and we needed a room with low traffic. The surrounding neighborhood is not very nice, but you can drive to downtown Sonoma or the wineries. Some rooms looked old but they try to keep the vintage look, the downside is that the walls are not very much sound proof and you can hear the next door guest whispering and some floors are old and noise. Overall the services was good, the hotel was OK, but it didn't feel much like other Fairmont hotels.

Nice hotel, recently renovated but small rooms, many complimentary options (if member of their club): Hiking, biking, gym, etc. Did not receive welcome gift or bottle of wine (both were promised in the booking).

This is a charming hotel on a beautiful property and this was our second stay. The hotel itself is a nice getaway. It is out of the way, not in a particularly interesting neighborhood, and is several miles from downtown Sonoma, so you tend to stay onsite or drive to where you want to go. But the property itself is spacious and beautiful; the spa is amazing, one of the best I've ever been to. The food is also great. The only downside are the interiors, which seem "grandma - ish" rather than mission or any of the other hacienda styles. There is no elevator to the second floor, which makes for a good work-out for people like us who carry our few bags by ourselves! Make no mistake, we would return.

Somehow we got upgraded to a Mission Suite and it was great! SMI was very dog friendly and super with our 2 y/o son, who can be a handful!

The staff at the desk were very helpful and friendly. Although it was annoying that both of our keys didn't work after one use, they were replaced quickly. The room was clean and elegant, however the floors were a bit creaky and we could hear EVERYTHING upstairs at 130am (their floors creaked too). There was a funny smell in the hallway. Overall the hotel is elegant and well-kept but a little older than other Fairmont Hotels we've stayed at. We didn't use the spa or get to see much of the facilities

Everyone - from checkin to restaurants to spa to housekeeping and valet - was so kind and helpful and wonderful. They make this place special for us. We had the best anniversary ever.

A wonderful experience...we stayed two nights in the 'historical' honeymoon ROUND suite....I think the gal at reception was being cool by giving us this room as we came in a very...romantic couple. So we were very very happy with our service, attitude of EVERY human component including the hotel, the upscale restraunt, the spa....everyone was a pro, yet not snooty and very genuinely 'nice'.....I would def. recommend it for a couple, or just a getaway from SF....make sure to go during the week as you will find a very good price for everything of interest online....

This hotel came highly recommended, and although convenient to Sonoma wineries, we found it below Standards of other Fairmonts. Upon entering our room, we remarked that a window was left open, then the smokey/musty smell hit us and stayed for the duration of our visit. It was a non-smoking room, but strangely enough, we found an astray on the balcony. We noted several times that hallway carpets were stained and that the overall maintenance of the Property seemed below Fairmont standards. On the positive side, our bathroom was nicely appointed and had excellent water pressure in the shower. Also, the concierge desk was very helpful in planning our wine tasting visits.

Old and a little musty in the hallways. Very clean and great service in the rooms, but way over priced. The spa is a rip off, average massage for double the price, and the spa facilities are mediocre at best. You pay for the hype on this one.

I picked this hotel from hotels.com based on an attractive price for a hotel of this class. The hotel itself is really well maintained and decorated, as you can expect from such a brand. The only problem I had was with the room at night - the bathroom fan in the room next to mine was really noisy and I could hear it all night. All I can say is I was glad to check out the next day. Very nice hotel otherwise.

This is a great hotel if you are looking for good service and great ambience near the winerys in Sonoma. My only regret was there was not enough time to enjoy all the amenities!!

I was nervous about staying here because of other reviews, but I found it to be perfect for what we needed. We never intend on spending all our time at the hotel and found it to be a great location to head out for wine tasting. You will need to take a cab to town if you plan on drinking, about $12 with tip, since it would be a 45 minute walk. The kids pretty much had the run of the main pool, but the one at the spa was 18 years and over so it was SO much more relaxing. Just head over early in the day since you have to pay to use that pool unless you get a spa treatment. Great gym too! Overall, very pleasant!

This hotel was beautiful. All of the staff that I encountered were very friendly and helpful. The pool was relaxing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Very nice hotel in the midle of wine country. Our rooms was very v ery small. We order room serice one night. It was cold, poor taste and very cost way to much. The hotel desk was very nice and very slow.

Most relaxing place to stay just to 'uwnind'--spa and bathhouse are second to none. Staff is super friendly and accommodating.

I have never posted on a review for a hotel before, but this one needs a little clarity. The Fairmont Sonoma is surrounded by a dilapidated neighborhood, which we could see when we looked out the window in our room. The room was very small, but well furnished. The hotel is a little run-down and is not that close to a lot of wineries.

Sent a client for a weekend stay everthing went wrong I ask for a spa package and did not get it, the client also got billed for the room and the Hotel told the client I paid $690 for the room. But I paid $975 for the room and services.It was embarassing for me and the company. Ron Burgess .

First thing's first, my girlfriend and I had a great time. The grounds were lovely, the service was excellant, and everyone was very friendly. What really angered me was the size and quality of the room. Don't even bother looking at the piuctures of the rooms if you get the Heritage Room, as it is not shown for a good reason. First, it is small, VERY small. Second, the room was downright shabby. The furniture's paint was worn off, the walls were scuffed, there was a big bleach stain on the tacky 1970's striped carpet, a hole in the ceiling of the closet, and any of the food, be it from their restaurant Sante, room service, or from the refreshment basket in the room, all were downright CRAZY expensive.If I am going to be paying a four start price, even if it is the cheaper room, I don't expect a 1 star motel room. As far as the room was concerned, Holiday Inn or La Quinta are far superior. The surrounding neighborhood is downright aweful as well. Burned down, boarded up homes and vagrants are far more prevalent than vineyards. Would not recommend walking anywhere, but there are some nicer places a short drive North. The grounds however are very romantic. Most of the buildings are covered with ivy, there are many fountains, and all of the pools and hot tubs are filled with mineral water from the hotspring. My girlfriend and I found this nice second level deck chair area whcih is in the pictures and had it all to ourselves. We actually fell asleep in the quiet, warm summer afternoon with the relaxing music coming through the wall of the spa and the warm breeze, it was very pleasant to relax there for an hour or so. I also highly recommend the complimentry wine tasting which is from 4:30-5:30, excellant wines. We then purchased a 5 cheese platter and took it back to the room. While it was a bit pricey, it was totally worth it. In the end, I would not recommend this hotel purely because of the absolute shock it was when we entered our actual room. If you can afford one o

While it sounds like other reviewers have not been quite as pleased with the scale and "newness" of their standard room in the original inn, we foudn the Mission Suites to be absolutely wonderful. The generous size of the room with the large bath, sitting area, fireplace, and balcony made for an ideal retreat after touring the surrounding valleys. The service was excellent, everything was clean and the spa was incredible. Go enjoy.

Would recommend this hotel and also stay there again if offering special rates. The have a new shuttle which will take you downtown which is very nice option to driving. Hotel is clean, spa and pools were nice. The hotel dinner restaurant is pricey but very good. Overall, we all enjoyed it.

It may still cary the name of e luxurious spa. Although I did not take any spa treatment (that may be superb, and expensive), the hotel rooms are worn-out, old smelly carpet, room view to the back of the kitchen, smells all night. You wake up at 5 am hearing the employees signing in to work. Crowded pool covered with trees, so the sun does not show up until noon. Staff was attentive, but not what one expects from a 4 stars hotel. If in Sonoma, stay in some of the beautiful boutique hotel in the plaza. May be not so well know, but certainly, centrally located and fun.

We had an amazing stay! Love this place! The adult-spa pool is a great find!
