Slave Lake Inn and Conference - سلاف ليك

Hotel doesn't have a jacuzzi and steam room as advertised. Staff were not very helpful (except the front desk guy with the pony tail). Asked for a non smoking room and got the stinkiest smoking room ever. Would never stay here again!

Definitely requires some renovationa nd updating, but very quiet!

Your reception clerk on duty on Aug.5/12 has a cultural problem dealing with females as equals. We phoned ahead to advise of our late arrival. My wife entered to check us in while I parked & emptied the car. After an unusually long period to time I joined her to see why the delay. The clerk would not acknowledge any of the conditions of our reservation. ie. 1) no record of 2 queen beds; 2)no non-smoking room on the main level - and on and on. He wanted her to take a room on the second floor with one bed and that was all they had. She offered to show him the reservation number and her printed copy of the reservation but he was not interested in even looking at it. When I entered the discussion all our reservation specifics were suddenly available. He did give us a room where the dead bolt was not yet fitted into the door jam. He tried to convince me it didn't matter as the door couldn't be opened from the outside anyway. When I didn't buy it he gave us a nearby room with a properly fitted dead bolt. Why was any of this necessary ?!!! The parking lot was 60% empty so we knew they were not anywhere near capacity. What reason would such a person have to make it difficult for a female to conduct business with him? PS. your morning staff was excellent (like a breath of fresh) and the complementary breakfast was equally excellent.

stayed here many times always have good experience when I saty here.

Room was very hot and I was put to the very very farthest corner of the hotel, and up one level. Couldn;t get any further away from the front desk and restaurant. Food was excellent and service of staff excellent other than one person at the front desk. the only saving grace being that far away, as there was no one else around to make noise, however the room was so hot that one couldn't sleep anyway. rooms as well are old and need updating.

The staff were great, friendly and helpful. The hotel lobby looks like it's been upgraded, but the rooms (based on our experience) needs upgrading. Our room was non smoking but it had a slight odor to it - people must have smoked in it before. They included a great breakfast with the room.
