It was convenient for our need and the price was reasonable. However this particular hotel had extremely small bathrooms. A simple fix would be to have the bathroom door open out instead of in.

The restaurant next to the hotel had a LOUD annouying fan belt. I know it's not your issue, but it was annouying. Continental breakfast was a litte weak. Not much variety. King size bed was comfy though.

The hotel staff was friendly and accomodating for extra toiletries and towels. The room was very clean. Bathroom was very small, hard to step in and close the door to use the toilet. Beds never had fitted sheets put on them, so during the night the sheets would bunch up. The beds are older and not very comfortable. Breakfast didn't have much of an option, my kids wanted powdered donuts, they only had a chocolate cake one. Swimming pool was nicely heated and my kids loved it. It's located next to many of the places we were vacationing for, so it was perfect for what we needed. For the price and the friendly staff, I would stay here again.

We had super service from the hotel staff but no elevator, no automatic door opener, I am disabled an this was a slight problem, The room smelled disgusting, bought strong room deodorizer had to use every hour or so when in the room, I think the carpet smells funny and it might have been the air conditioning unit I told them at the front desk. The continental breakfast was nice, the pool was clean, the bathrooms were really tiny and the toilet ran, my husband fixed it. the staff was fabulous!!!

Stayed 1 night - in 'new wing'... separate building next door. Room was clean, furniture decent (not falling apart) and bed was comfortable. My only complaint is the TV speakers were almost out. Norske Nook next door has great food and awesome PIE!!! Nice small hometown feel.

This was a very good cheap motel, but it has a connected hotel part. I had stayed in the hotel part and the room was very good. Free breakfast, friendly staff, and the facility had a pool and hot tub.

Great price, but the hotel is getting very run down and in desperate need of some updating.

Do not plan on using the pool if you want to get a comb through your hair anytime soon! This is the 2nd year we have stayed there for attending the Applefest in Bayfield (hoping the hotel would be better this time around) and both times my daughter swam in the very clean pool; however, the pool's chlorine levels were extremely high. I was sitting watching my daughter swim, and after 30 minutes the chlorine fumes were so bad we had to leave the pool area. It was comparable to slicing dozens of strong onions. Our eyes were red, stung, and teared for an hour afterwards--even though I was never in the water. She swam on a Saturday, the fumes were bad, but when she showered afterward her hair was fine. On Monday morning before we left, she swam 1 last time. She took another shower and this time it took 30 minutes just to comb out her hair. This is now Friday of the same week, and at home, after repeated showers at home with massive amounts of conditioners applied, her hair still feels sticky and strawlike, and takes over 15 minutes to comb out the snarly mess on a daily basis. What the heck is in their pool water--2 years in a row?! The beds were hard and lumpy to sleep on also. The maids only gave us fresh towels (only after I asked for them), did not make the beds or refill the coffee items. For the few bucks you would save staying here, you better stay somewhere else, as we will not be coming here again! The only good thing was that there was free coffee in the lobby 24 hrs a day and the blueberry donuts!

This was another great choice you made for us. Thanks again.

I was very disappointed when we got to the super 8. 1. the room was run down, very old bedding on beds carpet had stains and burn marks. the beds and mattresses old torn and uncomfortable. huge leak in the sink area, no extra pillows, pool was so cold could not use. I will not stay there again

The hotel was as expected; no glitz, but none expected. The management was friendly and accomodating. However, the people who cleaned the room left it dirtier than when we left. They made the beds, gave us new towels, and that was the extent ot it. They left the coffee in the coffee maker along with the used filter. THey left all the dirty towels on the floor, along with several candy wrappers that were not ours. This was after we left them a tip for the day.

This is a bare bones motel and for my stay is was adequate. Close to town and right next door to a good restaurant. I would not recommend for a longer stay as it does not have a refrigerator and the room was a bit on the small side.

Decent enough that I would stay again. Not the place to go if you want an actual getaway room.

Perfectly adequate hotel. Comfortable and clean. Bathroom a bit small. No fridge, although the printout said it had one. Good restaurant next door, grocery/liquor store and convenience store/gas station close by. Nothing really special, just an okay place.
