Room was clean and service was good comfortable bed but property looks like construction yard trucks all over but I would stay there again

But the surrounding of the bed floor was dirty and the matress sheet refused to stay in place (too much used) so i spend the night directly on the matress.

Hotel charged me 3 times for a pet fee, said they would credit two them as mistakes, but did not. Have requested that Amex deny pmt

never received maid service or clean towels next day i needed to go get them. room coffee or cups,tissue ran out.

My room was not very clean, i was there with my two sons, 5,6,, candy paper on the floor, and under the bed... but my boys and i had a great time. I hope it was just a bad day for the staff,,, i would like to go back again, i did like the room, and the set up... i was very happy about that for my boys and i. I thank you for your time,,,,

We stayed 3 nights on a family visit. We generally were satisfied with the cleanliness and overall condition of the hotel, plus it was convenient and an accessible location. The continental breakfast was mediocre. Our only negative was that we had to switch rooms upon arrival, because the non-smoking room we were given smelled of cigarette smoke. But the desk clerk was very helpful in getting us another room. Overall it's not spectacular but decent and affordable enough for someone making an overnight stay. I wouldn't have any problem staying there again.

While not for anyone who is looking for something fancy or with a lot of extras, the hotel was inexpensive, clean, and quiet. The staff was congenial and very helpful. they carrried my luggage in and out upon request , as I am handicapped. they helped me find a local mechanic when I had a car problem.Free breakfast was not lavish but adequate. there is a quiet little lobby abd nice ating area . Thereis good wi fi service in your room or you can use their guest accessible computer in the lobby area.. Getting onto the property when driving from the south is a little tricky. all in all I wpould stay here again.

We drove down for the Rhinebeck Sheep & Wool festival and stayed for only one of two booked nights. We left early because we were done early enough to get home before dinner. Pros: Pizza and (cheap) beer available at the check-in desk. Cons: Room was only spot cleaned. We found an old inhaler (exp 5-11) and receipts behind the nightstand, where we plugged in our phones. Skids in the toilet, no explanation needed.

We will think twice before staying at a Motel 8 ever again. We had no towels our first and third day. When we came back the second weekend, the second day our room was not cleaned when we return at 3:45 in the afternoon. We put up the do not disturb sign so we could get ready to go out so it never got cleaned at all. The beds and pillows were the most uncomfortable we've ever had. The only good thing we can say was that the hotel desk clerks were very nice.

Expected to hsve srefrigerstor in the room. Was put into an accessible room with no frig.

It was awful, almost an hour away from the location of the event I was attending! Had no idea of the relative location of the motel vis-a-vis the site of the event when booked the room. The info said exit 18 of the NY Thruway but it wasn't even close!

Had I trailered my boat,I would have rode it across the hudson river to get to the hotel.Being told that it was 1.1 miles away from the culinary Institute of america.

The Super 8 in Highland NY was a wonderful place to stay, a no frills place that offered very polite and efficient service. We stayed in a room that was very close to the front desk it was extemely quiet. The included breakfast was a no frills breakfast but very fresh and clean. The breakfast is especially good for the traveler who wants a good healthy breakfast but wants to get on their way.

Everything fine except housekeeping which at best was shoddy, The last night the beds were not made, the wastebaskets were not emptied and there was a roach in a drawer! We were not the only ones with complaints! The desk understood but apparently could do nothing. The location was perfect and the price good BUT the lack of housekeeping is not acceptable!

The hotel was well situated for my visit and the reception staff were extremely efficient and helpful. HOWEVER the room was unclean. There were no clean towels provided, only several dirty ones, a discarded tissue which was dirty and damp on the bathroom floor and someone had left the remains of a 'Takeout' meal in the fridge. I suspect the sheets had not been changed as the overall standard of cleanliness in the room was poor. It seemed a shame as the guy on duty in reception was very helpful! I feel I must also add that I stayed at several hotels whilst in the USA and the standard of the 'lower' budget hotels was not as good as I had expected!!!

The representative that helped us was very friendly. I believe her name was Sarah. She tried very hard to make us happy as we were EXTREMELY UNHAPPY that when we checked in we were told there were no elevators and no ground floor rooms available. We had a lot of luggage and it was very difficult and inconvenient for us. I travel a lot and I will do everything in my power to NOT stay at another Super 8 if having no elevators is a standard item.

A somewhat remote setting w/ no shops or resterants nearby. All in all a decent place with nice in home amenities and a continetial breakfast.

Liked everything except the beds were uncomfortable.

Not too far from the college. Clean and the staff was very professional and helpful. It's too bad you can't go north on 9W from the hotel - you have to go south and turn around. Continental breakfast was very basic, but then again, the rate was inexpensive compared to most hotels in the area. I would stay here again.

Good value, big room, clean, comfortable, and best of all, dog friendly!

The hotel was a bit difficult to get to because you could not make a u-turn off of 9W to get into the enterance. It was also a good thing I brought my gym bag which had not only my shampoo and conditioner (I rarely use the hotel bottles unless they are a brand I recognize) but also my bar soap. None of these amenities were located in the bathroom. Upon asking for an iron and ironing board, I was given a small board (which was dirty) and an iron that had mold growing in the water chamber and the dial was broken off of it! When I brought it back to the desk the attendant asked "how that happened?" and gave me a different iron. The sheets on the bed also had several black hairs on the fitted sheet and it was apparent that someone had thrown up on both beds' box springs at some point in time as they were both heavily stained. The mattresses were very uncomfortable as well.

The hotel is close to the highway, with a fast connection to Poughkeepsie (if you have a car :-))

Myself and 3 of my fraternity Brothers stayed here for our national business meeting. Clean showers and beds. For the price split between the 4 of us not complaining. They were painting all the walls in the hotel and were keeping it very clean. Didn't stop for the breakfast but normal cold cereal, Danishes, donuts, and juice stuff like that. Overall it's a Super 8 don't expect too much.

The hotel was clean and had nice furnishings. The shower/tub did not drain at all. We requested a wake-up call and it was never delivered. The staff were pleasant.

we enjoyed our stay immensley. will recommend to all our friends & if we come back to highland, NY wouldn't think of staying anwhere but the Super 8

My daughters and I stayed for a night at this hotel and we were all very pleased. The only drawback was the beds. They need to be replaced. The hotel was clean, the staff very friendly, and the free continental breakfast was very adequate. I would stay again, however, it is strongly suggested that the beds be replaced.

Not a perfect hotel, breakfast area was small, and not enough tables. Just a place to stay - cheaper than other hotels in this area. Regular TV set. Good to have refrigeratior and microwave in every room. Recommand for people looking for the place just stay and sleep.

What a great deal! The room was spotless and surprisingly large, the staff were friendly, and I like it that they sold wine and pizza at the front desk. A great value for the money--we'll be back next year.

Where do I begin? There are expectations one may have when selecting a hotel; whether that be economy lodging or middle to higher end. This economy hotel could not have been more disappointing. Here is the laundry list: • We were greeted with a very friendly desk clerk. Although she rushed us along. • On or way to the room, the hallways and stairwells reeked of cigarette smoke—not good for smoke sensitive guests, like my party. • Once in our room o No towels of any kind o Called the desk, “Come down and get them.” o Not toiletries. Had to get those from the front desk. o Every channel on satellite TV was extremely snowy and hardly watchable. o The towels were gray and dingy. o The blanket on the bed had many holes and was thread-bare in other places. o The sheets were extremely worn thin. o There was a coffee maker but no carafe. o You have read about the poor mattresses. IT’S TRUE.  You can feel the springs against your body.  The springs creek with ever subtle movement.  I woke up in the night with a painful shoulder and other place on my back.  Very lumpy. • The bathtub took over 5 minutes to drain an inch of water. • Dogs barking—not outside, IN the hotel. Pet friendly is one thing… • The “Continental Breakfast.” What continent is Super 8 on?” o I am not asking for a buffet, just a few things. o Fruit 2 apples and 2 oranges: all looked weeks old. The shriveled skins were a dead give-a-way. And they were soft and spongy. o Small (obviously pre-packaged) Danishes that were cut in 1”x 1” shapes. o Five slices of white bread and five slices of some darker type of bread; 2 plain bagels. o The staff member who came from behind the desk to “replenish” the food was unkempt. Needs a shave and his hair under control—especially since he is handling food. He did have gloves. • The pool table in the lounge is coin operated ($1.25), should not be listed as an amenity. • Only one ice machine which is off the Main lobby. An inconvenience for those staying on the second flo

Unless you are content with a bowl of cereal don't plan on the breakfast (no doubt the skimpiest I've ever encountered) and eat elsewhere. Needs updating - older CRT TV - low water pressure in the shower - however most importantly the night we were there (a Sat. night) you could hear a pin drop therefore despite it's shortcomings I'd stay there again. It's also very close to an excellent Italian restaurant.

It wasa good stay. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and it was close to my appointments. For the amount of money I paid for the room, it was a good value. I'd stay there again if business brought me back.

Heather, our front desk employee, was a welcome CHANGE from employees that are not happy with thier jobs and take it out on the customer. She was very pleasant on the phone when I called to tell her we'd be late...even said"Drive safely". Most hotel employees hardly speak to you when you arrive... Heather was very pleasant, smiled frequently, had great eye contact and was more than willing to fix a billing problem while the front desk was busy. She acknowledged others and apologized for the delay in not being able to help them right away. The rooms were large and okay, but Heather made that stay great.

We stayed in this Super 8 as it is very close to New Paltz, where we were spending the weekend, and about $40 cheaper than the Super 8 in New Paltz. However, we did NOT get what we paid for. The second we opened the door, we were overwhelmed by the smell of stale cigarette smoke. It was awful. We asked the desk to change us, and the guy was very pleasant, but told us the motel was booked and we could not be switched. He gave us a bottle of Febreeze and an apology. He stated that this was a non-smoking room, but there were cigarette burns on the carpet by the bed, on the sink in the bathroom, and the bathroom floor. The smoke smell penetrated everything we brought with us, so we had to wash everything that came in with us (not just pillow cases, but pillows too, not just everything in our bags, but the bags as well). It made it really hard to relax and sleep with the stench. We got up and out asap. Again, the desk staff was friendly and just doing their jobs, but it was not what we paid for at all. Very disappointing.

Clean, large room. Very helpful staff.

This well-located motel is an easy drive to the very nice pedestran bridge over the Hudson River and to the charming town of New Paltz. The room we had was perfectly adequate for our needs -- comfortable beds, a sofa, fridge, microwave -- and was very competively priced. The entrance is tricky for those coming from the south on Rt. 9W because you have to take a right turn into a parkling lot, reverse, then take a left at the traffic light. You can't do a U-turn at the 9w/299 light and if you turn left, you have to go about a 1/2 mile to turn around.

Horrible experience!The staff ignored a loud party going on 2 doors down during their own "quiet" hours. The party took place in high swing 2am-5am. I had to get up in the morning for a college seminar and was extremely tired the next day. Was not satisfied with their service, never stay there again and I wil be coming back into the area frequently. I have complained and have been ignored during the party and still today. Cleanliness was also an issue. Sheets were definitely not a new set (found someone else's hair in the sheets and in the shower)
