Not great, but not bad either. Most everything was closed while we were there.

Poor value, long check in time, one small elevator, small room/bathroom despite fancy name. Restaurants are inadequate for a large hotel full of kids, two restaurants in the hotel did not accept reservations and I didn't want to wait until 10pm to get a table or bar space. Front desk was very friendly when it became my turn to check in but room housekeeping was poor (left wet towels lying around, robe on bed, no tissues, no breakfast order form etc), only one ice machine (on another floor) and no in room tea/coffee maker or door on the very small closet. Convenient for skiing though !

Loved every minute, except when steak was overdone (compted) Friendly helpful staff. From valet to front dest to room service exceptional all around.

Was very disappointed with the food. Sent my parents there for their anniversary and they were served hamburgers with moldy bread. They also were served cold coffee. For the amount of money you pay per night for this hotel you would think the food would be superb. Very disappointed. I won't send them there again:(

Everything was great !!!

This was a wonderful getaway with friends in a beautiful location. We really enjoyed the hotel and the service was good.

It was wonderful and relaxing. Unfortunately, we weren't able to eat in the Main Dining Room, because it was under renovation and we had to eat at the same restaurant for each meal, but over-all, all was great!!

My husband, I and kids stayed for 2 nights. The hotel is amazing. Service was wonderful. Kids loved outdoor & indoor pools. (Outdoor pool was warmer than indoor). Stayed over Thanksgiving. They had many activities on during our stay and even got a surprise visit from Santa! Kids loved the movie at night and the Cave for the adults was great. The Staff offers a complimentary historic tour of the hotel which is highly recommended. Cant wait to go back!

Short but sweet: good food, nice room, blue skies and refreshing outdoor hikes.

Very disappointed. We arrived late from Boston and had to resort to ordering one hamburger from room service. There were no nearby restaurants. We knew it would be higher than typical and were willing to pay the gratuities, taxes, etc. The hamburger was worse than a "MacDonald" hamburger and when the bill was slipped under the door for checkout the next morning, it included an additional "$25.00 amenities fee." There were no amenities - we did not even have a cup of coffee. My husband spoke to the clerk at the front desk and she made no attempt to rectify the situtation. The one hamburger and a rootbeer basically cost $50.00. The room rate was the highest of our entire trip and was not even as nice as the Hampton Inn where we stayed the next night. At least we had a nice breakfast and coffee included. The hiidden "amenities" fee is unacceptable. Amenities should be included in the room charge upfront and explained at check-in!

Other than the service being suboptimal in one of the dining rooms one evening, our stay was everything that we could have wanted. The weather was also less than totally coopertive but that is obvioously out of the control of the hotel. We are looking forward to our return visit!

Overall satisfied except for two things women I dealt with at front desk was rude and not helpful and two rooms booked together one was nice and second very tiny both same price when we went to the desk front desk once again was not helpful the rest of staff was wonderful

The hotel itself was great, but our visit was marred by the fact that the reservation claimed a mountain view room and what we were given was a room with a view of a construction site (scaffolding over the windows and all). When I went to the front desk to complain I showed them the reservation and they agreed that I was promised a mountain view room, but they were all full. I would have expected some sort of attempt to make up for the oversight, but other than give us a room with no scaffolding they did nothing (still no mountain view..). It was really a shame because the hotel is really classic and very interesting. I recommend a visit, but be wary of a bait and switch.

varied activities on site; many restaurants on site; activities for guests of all ages; scenic; we plan to go back next summer!

Beautiful setting. Hotel was beautiful. Breakfast buffet was worth the price.

Have wanted to stay there for over 30 years and we splurged for our 25th anniversary. It was all that we expected and more. Thanks!

A truly impressiver hotel, and a great, though short, stay.

To say that the accomodations and service are top shelf is an understatement. The panoramic views of the presidential range can't be beat, and the staff bent over backwards to make you feel appreciated as a guest. We went for a anniversary weekend and it was just perfect. The hotel is beautiful and is definately worth the trip.

the hotel was beautiful. the lobby,porchs,the grounds, ect were like something from a magazine. the room however was nothing like what you see when you review the room on line. they were ok....nothing plush or at all what i expected. with a hotel that looks so fancy i really expected the room to have beautiful furniture, a big t.v. and a nice sitting area. it was average. i was disapointed. the rooms at bretton arms....down at the bottom of the hill....were outstanding. that is what i expected at the omni. we ate at stuckeys...which was good but expensive. i ordered the onion rings. for $7.00 i got a plate with 3..that's right ..3 onion rings!!!!i could not believe it. the next night i got the hamburger plate and substitued onion rings for the french fries. it cost me $11.00. the burger was fantastic and it included...the same 3 onion rings...a much better deal...i think they feel if you're going to stay here that you have money. i spent $35.00 for breakfast (2eggs, bacon,waffles,tea and coffee....way to much!!!) and an average of $90 for dinner. no much else is around so they kind of have you at there mercy. i did pack my own lunches...that saved me some money. also i got a fridge at no charge. when i questioned it they said that it was the slow season and they charge for the fridge when it's busy...what's up with that!!! i would stay again but this time be more prepared....

Everything about this hotel was wonderful...the view of the mountains and the grounds are spectacular.

The service was impeccable. The staff couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating. Location was absolutely beautiful and the hotel was stunning!!

Everything was just wonderful, above and beyond our expextations.Only one thing that we didn't care for. It may not matter to some folks but not having prices on the breakfast menu in the main formal dining room isn't very considerate, we thought how expensive can a few eggs and toast be? My wife and I had 2 eggs, home fries and toast with bacon, I had a small grapfruit juice, no coffee, the bill came to 43.60, the home fries were not that good. Needless to say we did not eat breakfast in the main dining room again. That's about it, we'll probably come back again but will avoid the main dining room, Stickneys was great.Thanks

So sorry - I was in such a hurry to finally do this that I gave all ones instead of fives- tried to correct and lost it. Anyway, we had a wonderful time, and I think the hotel has been upgraded since the last time I stayed there. It was very special - loved the Christmas stockings! - the food was the best of any I've ever had anywhere. Don't know how our stay could have been improved upon.

The king bed was incredibly comfortable, the sheets were super soft. You can hear through the hallway walls somewhat, so if you stay here try to be quiet in the halls. It might have been more noisy to me because i was closer to the elevator and foot traffic. The hotel is very grand and ornate. I was hoping for a ghost encounter, we did open the window to cool the room, a minute later it slammed shut on its own (ghost..) In room dining i had a filet minon which was incredibly mouth watering (and I'm very picky about steak). Breakfast buffet is $20 per person, and it was all very good, our waiter Justin was excellent! I was dressed in ski gear and there was no concern there about dress code. The bell boys seemed really cool, they all gave me suggestions on the best runs at Loon and Bretton and Cannon. I can't wait to come back!

They would be 5 stars if they had HD TV this is 2012 !

The property OMNI took over is massive and it appears OMNI is in over its head. The lobby has mismatched , dingy furniture that looks very tired. Not a grand lobby that you would expect upon arrival. The dining room is massive. We had an inexperienced waiter which only made our service worse, as he traveled back and forth across the dining to bring our food. Our room was situated outside the lobby where we were kept awake by until very late (after midnight) and bright and early, 5 am. For the cost of our room, I expected much more than what we got.

This is a great hotel with a spectacular view. Services are incredible and the staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the main dining hall was quite possibly the best I have ever had. Try the Belgian waffles, they are fabulous. I loved the cold cuts and salmon available at the breakfast buffet, reminded me of breakfast in Europe. Thank you for a wonderful experience. I will be back again and will recommend this hotel to my friends and relatives.

My husband and I have vacationed in the White Mountains region of New Hampshire for years, but have never been able to stay at this resort. I found a great deal after the foliage season, and decided to take it. It was well worth it. The view when you drive up is breathtaking. You feel like you are stepping back in time. We were greeted by the valet and bellhops immediately. Walking into the hotel takes your breath away. Check-in was easy, and they were so helpful and friendly. The rooms have high ceilings, and are warmly decorated. The view we had was wonderful; Mount Washington right in full view. At home we had had no power for 4 days, and were not dressed appropriately for the gorgeous Dining Room for dinner. One of the employees suggested Stickney's, since it had no dress code. We were greeted warmly, and were almost alone in the restaurant. The food was delicious, not cheap, but delicious. We had a great time just wandering around the building and looking at the photos and views. You definitely need to stay for more than one night to fully experience the resort. We didn't get to go to the pool or spa, or try out the breakfast buffet, and will need to do that next time. Overall we had a wonderful time. We felt like VIPs. I cannot wait to go back!

The staff was friendly and very helpful. They always wanted to know if there was anything we needed.

This is a beautifully restored hotel in the mountains of NH. The views are more fabulous than I imagined they would be. My husband and Istayed here and celebrated our anniversary and everything was perfect! I would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed 2 nights in the fall of 2011 and wish we had allowed another nite to enjoy the hotel and area. The food was good in the restaurant down stairs and after 9pm the Cave was a must do with live entertainment that changed during our stay. The Omni is very classy and has 2 guided tours per day to familiarize you with it's rich heritage. Loved everything about it.

We had a wonderful stay!

Very nice. Only problem is old electrical issues. Outlet in the bathroom went out w/hairdryer. Not enough outlets in room. And our overhead light kept coming on at night even though we kept turning it off. My kids thought it was the ghosts! Loved being able to sit on the terrace and look at the most breathtaking views.
