Marriott Myrtle Beach Resort at Grande Dunes - ميرتل بيتش

We had booked thru hotels.com and thought we would have two double beds, but when we got there, they gave us one king for a family of five. My husband told them we had booked a double room, so after three hours, we finally moved into a double. Then we were on a wait list for cots - 20 people long. And finally, housekeeping would knock on your door at 8:30 in the morning on spring break, and when you ask them to come back in one hour, they would not come back until we called in the afternoon to have them come again. Hotel is beautiful and staff are nice, but sadly, they cannot accommodate everyone and maintain Marriott level service at peak season.

Excellent thanksgiving vacation! close to all of the sights and right on the beach. The resort was fab!

i am not at all pleased, i reserved a room with a king size bed, more like a suite. they put me in a regular room with 2 double beds.

I was surprised to get a bill for parking. Other than that, everything was great! Great service and pool!

All was great! Nice rooms, restaurants/bars on-site, large pools and great access to beach. However,initially assigned to room overlooking rooftop with air conditioner units. In call to front desk,the fact that the reservation was booked through hotels.com was mentioned. Room changed with no problem when request for room change was made in-person at front desk.

This hotel was everything it was advertised to be. The hotel and it's grounds are beautiful and well kept. The staff was very responsive to any of our needs and was extremely friendly and courteous.

The hotel is on the beach and is really convenient to everything at Myrtle It was clean the staff was very kind and helpful. They will do anything to make your stay enjoyable. The pool area is top shelf with a top wait staff. The restaurant is very good if you don't want to go out and the omelette's at breakfast are the best. This is a place you have to stay in if you are looking fro a weekend away.

The hotel is beautiful, certainly. Great views are available and hotel staff are attentive. I did not care for the high price of internet nor the fact that I had to pay to self-park in the lot, considering the rates. But for those two issues I would have considered the quality of the facility appropriate at the rate.

Overall, I was very dissatisfied with this hotel. I would not recommend to anyone. Our reservation was mixed up from the beginning. A rollaway bed was never issued to us. After calling for it, it also never showed up. There are alot of hidden fees. One of which was parking. NEVER were we told that we had to pay $10 per night for parking. The nights that we were there they had banquet meetings for about 100 people. There went the parking. They were very rigid whenever we made a request, They had no flexibility on anything. Kept telling us "Corporate wouldn;t let them". Everything was VERY expensive from drinks in the bar to room service to breakfast. Restaurant prices were unbelievable. Then to get home and find that we were double billed for everything. I had checks bounce due to that and they were not easy to talk to at all to try and fix the issues. Overall I would not recommend this hotel to anyone I knew.

No tennis courts or golf courses within walking distance. Parking is extra, and at this location, it should be included in the already pricey rates. No good restaurants nearby.

Super -- Just blocks away from all the hustle and bustle of Myrtle Beach, but you feel like you are in a separate world -- A great place for the family with a gigantic pool and beach access.

The Hotel was great, the area was great, the pool was great, the service was great. The overall experience was just what I wanted.The hotel is right in the middle of all the activity at Myrtle Beach, I never travel more than 10 mins by car any place. My only wise is that they wouldn't charge for parking and the internet.

I'll start by saying that I was under the impression that the marriot at grande dunes was in the grande dunes village off 17 but was pleased even more when we were told it was ON the beach.Upon arrival and entering the lobby, The hotel looked absolutely amazing and I was very excited about the stay here and felt confident that I had made the right decision by splurging WAY more than usual for a special weekend with my fiance.After checking in and returning to the vehicle to retrieve our luggage and told her how nice the place looked we loaded everything up and I parked our vehicle then we headed up to our room.Well,After the ambience that you get when you walk into the lobby and you cant help but to venture out to the awesome pool and nice restaurant I will have to say that I was slightly dissapointed with the room.It was fairly small and the "balcony" was literally the bottom of the guardrail so you open the door and prop up against the banister without actually leaving the carpet.There were cracks in the walls that I felt were definitely out of place in such a nice hotel.Then I went to connect my laptop to the internet and discovered that it was fairly pricy for a room That I just paid for 1 night what my "Usual" Fare would be for a week in another place and felt that the internet should have been included but since this was a special weekend then I wasnt that concerned with the monetary value But thought the room itself should have been a bit nicer then what it was,The bed was great though and thats a plus in my book and I would definitely stay again but NOT for the price I paid.

I would recommend this hotel to a friend who wanted a nice hotel ... but I also would advise them to go somewhere a little cheaper. While we enjoyed many aspects of the hotel (mainly the comfortable bed, beach, and relative proximity [about 3 miles, if I remember correctly] to Broadway at the Beach [a must -- along with renting a car -- if you're going to Myrtle Beach]), we also were disappointed with some aspects. Our ocean-view room did not have a walk-out balcony (rather, a door that opens to a steel grate). While there was a view to the ocean, the view also was angled in a way where we also had a great view of the parking lot, air-conditioning units on the roof below and garbage dump. Bathroom was pretty small. Even finding the hotel was a tad tricky as it is tucked back into a development project being built. Pool was pretty cold and just finding lawn chairs was difficult at times. Service by pool was great as was the small, but fun water slide. We also enjoyed massages and they were nice, but my masseuse (who was nice and recommended a good seafood restaurant) did nothing but talk the entire time, which I probably should have spoken up and politely asked her to let me relax. My wife and I have stayed at some of the best hotels in Hawaii, Cancun, Florida, and the Virgin Islands, and this one did not stack up to its reputation. Yet, it was OK ... but, with no previous hotel experiences in Myrtle Beach, probably not worth the extra cost.
