Hotel Astoria - براغ

Welll located. Godd breakfast.

We got there and found out the heating was not working the first night. we asked if it's possible to change to a different room and was firstly told all rooms are booked, then told all rooms use the same central heating so others would be broken as well. My husband insisted and eventually they offered us another double room at the end the corridor (on same floor), and the heating was working fine. I hate people try to lie out of an issue. If there is a problem, solve it, no lie to a customer. By the way the 7 floor was under construction work outside the window so we cannot open a window at all... The location maybe the only good thing about it, but there are lines of hotels on that one street - at least 5, so really it is not that difficult to find a better hotel for the money.

We stayed there for three nights, nice clean (though they do allow smocking) free internet in the lobby, good price and best of all, within waking distance of the center and the square, free breakfast was OK. Overall for the price it was a great hotel.

Had a decent room, with a huge window on the street. Receptionist said they're quiet, don't worry. Constant noise, from traffic, shouting passersby, and nearby construction, made the room uninhabitable. The front desk did give me another room which was off the street and much better. but still loud from 7am on, due to seemingly constant construction projects in the old city. Breakfast was fine, the free wine was a nice touch, but do they really have to blare pop music at you at 7am? Internet in the lobby at the provided terminal was fine, high speed without problems. Not a horrible hotel, but not somewhere to stay if you want a calm and relaxing getaway.

Very friendly and attentive staff. Good breakfast, wide variety should suit all tastes. Well positioned to easily visited all the main tourist areas.

Great location, very convenient 5min walk to the town square and 2 min walk from metro station at Namesti Republicky, which is a decent connection from the airport (about 1 hour transit time and 32czk). Breakfast was also pretty good and I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone.

The location was walking distance to Old Town and other sights. The breakfast was very good and the staff was friendly and helpful. I would not stay here again though due to the highly uncomfotable beds. The bed was so hard, I had to request an extra duvet to put on top of the mattress to sleep on in an attempt to create some comfort.

the stay at the hotel was really pleasant with nice services. it had a great proximity to most of tourist attractions. its breakfast was also really enjoyable. the only negative aspect was it didnt provide wifi for each room.

I did a LOT of research worrying over the right hotel in a good location for a good price, and made the right choice with the Astoria. Rooms were spotless and comfy and ours had a balcony with lovely views. Bathroom was spotless and modern with great shower pressure, plenty of hot water and a soaking tub. Huge filling breakfasts each morning, 5 minutes walk to Astronomical Clock/Old Town Square. Don't bother with car service, use AAA Taxi from airport. wifi in lobby only (WLAN in room). Safe in room as well. Would definitely stay here again, very pleased!

A fine hotel with a great breakfast that's pretty much within walking distance of everything to see in the city center. The rooms are a good size, confortable if not luxurious, but the a/c was not particularly effective so the room was warm. but the location can't be beat for the price.

Clean, courteous service, good breakfast, walking distance to the main sites at old Prague. Good location and short distance to public transport, restaurants, etc. Only real complaint is that wireless works only on the lobby or corridors, not inside the guest rooms....other than that we will certainly return to this hotel.

Its a small hotel, somewhat dated and my room was small. Clean and okay, but somewhat disappointing overall

My grandson and I arrived by train from Vienna at the main train station. We found both the #5 and 26 trams take you to the Repbubliky station (2 stops - pickup is at the end of the park next to the train station - pick it up across the street), from there we only had a couple of blocks to walk to the Hotel. Rooms were clean, bathrooms very nicely updated. Room itself was acceptable, clean, simple, stylish but definitely not lavish. Wifi was free in the lobby. My grandson was down there everynight checking in with friends. Our room was quiet, the road outside was quiet, few cars and we're just far enough off the main walking area that we didn't have to deal with noise all night. A very nice breakfast buffet was included - even my picky grandson found plenty to eat. We were only a few blocks from the Charles Bridge, We walked to everything from this great location. We felt safe walking here at night as well. Lots of other tourist are out late at night. Staff was helpful and spoke English, but they did not know which trams to take to get there from the train station. They recommended walking 15 to 20 minutes from the train station - walking on cobblestones pulling your luggage is not ideal so we were glad to find out about the trams from an info booth at the train station. Hotel held our luggage on our final day until we were ready to leave Prague.

Hotel Astoria is conveniently located a short walk from the Old Town, and an even shorter walk to the namesti Republiky [Republic Square] Metro station. The breakfast buffet is superb. They even offer red or white wine with breakfast, and they have ice cubes! I was beginning to think there wasn't an ice cube anywhere in Europe, but there at breakfast was a bowl of them for my juice! Breakfast also includes bacon and eggs, also unususal in Europe. The front desk was very efficient - one of the first things I did on arriving was to hook up an electrical adapter the wrong way, and it knocked out the electricity on the whole floor. I went to the front desk and apologized, and they just gave me a big smile. They called their technician, who showed up in less than a minute, and in 5 minutes the problem was fixed, again with a big smile. The rooms are air conditioned [also rare in Europe] and the A/C worked well, not too cold, not too hot, just very refreshing. We had a wonderful time in Prague, in part because we were resting so well in our room. The staff work hard and are very respectful, helpful, and friendly to the guests. We were in Prague 5 days, and were sightseeing nonstop, but there is still lots to see and do, so we definitely want to go back. When we do, we would love to stay again with the beautiful, smiling, friendly folks at the Astoria.

the hotel is located in the center , close to everthing , near the metro station. i loved the bed and the pillow , they were very comfortable . the room and all the hotel were very clean . the service was good, they save our luggage after check out time for free. the breakfast was tasty-loved the eggs - recommended!!!!!!!!

The Hotel Astoria is close to the centre of Prague so we were able to walk to many of the attractions or to the underground railway. Service was generally good although it varied from individual to ndividual - several were unfailingly helpful and courteous - one a trifle curt. Breakfast was of a good standard and when we ordered coffee it was quickly produced. It s convenient to a large shopping mall with a food hall on the 2nd floor so meals were easiy accessed. The Hotel does need to check that everythng is in working orderas the hairdryer collapsed on occassion and the wardrobe door was jammed.

Very nice hotel in a superb location. Everything is within walking distance, e.g. Kotva department store just around the corner and the breathtakingly beautiful Obecni Dum just couple of blocks away. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Wi-Fi worked fine at the lobby area, wish it was available also in the rooms. Nice restaurants and bars nearby, too. Obecni Dum Cafe is just amazing. It's a bit expensive, but well worth it. Beware of the Jazz Club Ungelt, it's a dump of a worst kind!

This is a nice hotel in a convenient location for all that Prague has to offer. The staff are friendly and available 24/7. Very nice breakfast which closes promply at 10.00am. Very clean quiet room (and ours faced out towards the road). Check out was 12am and our flight home at 7pm. The hotel were only too happy to store our baggage until a convenient time for no extra cost. Prague is beautiful and friendly (everyone seems to speak english) and this hotel is an ideal starting point for each days sightseeing. I would definately return to this hotel when visiting Prague.

The Hotel staffs are pretty friendly and the location of the hotel is good. Close to Metro station and within walking distance to all tourist attractions in Prague old town. However, the hotel stay was marred by the poor room condition due to a leaking aircon unit which flooded half the room floor and caused the room to smell.

The location of this hotel is its true USP. Just a few minutes from the Old Town Square and other places of interest. Great choice of restaurants nearby (buddha bar is a minute away!). Efficient and friendly staff..the concierge actually walked with us to help find a street 10 mins. away! We were glad to have found this hotel and will certainly recommend it to all!

A little trouble with our reservation but after our arrival our stay was very pleasent. Good breakfast. Close to the city square. A short walk to many of Prague's attractions. The staff was helpful and friendly. Loved our stay in their beautiful city!

Good hotel with very obliging and helpful staff. Hotel is in a quiet street within a very short walking distance of Old Town Square. Didn't try the restaurant so can't comment, but it never seemed to be very busy. But breakfasts excellent.

A very nice hotel, very well situated. Since it is right in the town center it is a bit difficult to arrive there with a car. Note that you can reach the hotel from the two directions of the road though it is note as a one way on google. The rooms are very quiet and very clean. The personnel is friendly and gives very good advices.

Prague is a wonderful city and I had the opportunity to go back and decided to stay at Hotel Astoria for one night - Hotel is in a great location near old town - walking distance to everything. Rooms were clean, staff friendly, breakfast hardy. Only one thing - was the room's air condition did not work very well, other than that - overall hotel is very nice, and would recommend staying at this hotel. Price was very reasonable. FYI - took the euro line bus from Vienna to Prague - (bus station 15 min walk to hotel) - bus line was so reasonable - comfortable new - bus - cost 101.00 us dollars for two people.. can't beat that - and it took 4 hours - as if you would drive or take a train.

Było wspaniale. Super uprzejma obsługa, garaż obok hotelu coprawda nieco drogi ale bezpieczny. Trochę słaba klimatyzacja w upalne dni.położenie ok. Polecam Jaro Gold Wing

Bra hotell der alt fungerer som det skal. Fine rom, grei service. Alt fungerte som det skulle. Ikke noe å klage på. Hotellet er helt vanlig og greit. Flott beliggenhet!

Hotellet har nok skrytt på seg ei stjerne for mye. Rommet var lite, og hadde en merkelig form med to enkle senger. Det var også forferdelig lytt, hørte lett snakking og bråk fra korridoren. Frokosten var enkel men spiselig, men i et ukoselig lokale rett ved resepsjonen. Men forholdsvis sentralt plassert hotell, i nærheten av det meste.

Ett mycket bra hotell med ett läge som är perfekt för utflykter. Frukost helt ok, rummet bra men tydligen hade nån rökt i rummet tidigare för det luktade där när vi kom in. Det var ett rökfritt rum.

Koselig og fint hotell, personalet veldig hyggelig og hjelpsom. Renhold veldig bra. Frokosten og middagen var meget bra. Det eneste jeg har å utsette på hotellet er at det var lite frokostplasser når alle skulle ha frokost samtidig fra kl. 08.30 til 09.30. Beliggenheten var midt i blinken, kort avstand til det meste. Et hotel til anbefaling.

Buen hotel, muy centrico con habitaciones algo pequeñas pero muy limpias. El desayuno es variado y el personal muy muy amable.

Ett rent och snyggt hotell med bra läge till de flesta sevärdheter. Buss till och från flygplatsen stannar mindre än 5 min promenad från hotellet. Ett stort plus att ha fri tillgång till internetuppkoppling. Mycket hjälpsam personal både i receptionen och övrigt. Ett toppenhotell som vi kan rekommendera.

Menimme hotellille jo puolilta päivin. Saimme heti huoneen. Kaikki toimi ja henkilökunta oli todella ystävällinen ja ammattitaitoinen. Aamiaistarjoilu oli parasta mitä keski-euroopassa olemme saaneet. Valikoima oli runsas ja ruokaa oli tarjolla jonottamatta vaikka yhdeksän aikaan oli paljon ruokailijoita. Huone siivottiin joka päivä. Kerrankin sellaiset sängyt ettei selkä ollut aamuisin kipeä. Todella suosittelen ja menen uudelleen.

Jag kan verkligen rekommendera detta hotell. Det ligger mitt i gamla stan med gångavstånd till de flesta sevärdheter. Personalen är otroligt hjälpsamma och alla talar engelska. Trevliga rum som är fräscha och rena (dock var sängarna för mjuka för oss men det är ju en smaksak). En trevlig lagom stor frukost ingår i priset. Åker vi till Prag igen bor vi säkert här igen - prisvärt!

La principal ventaja del hotel es su ubicación, puedes ir caminando a todos los lugares de interés. Ninguna queja de la limpieza de la habitación y todos los empleados son amables. Sin lujos pero correcto.

Достаточно удобное расположение от достопримечательностей..Не очень чисто и очень однообразные "бедные" завтраки... И еще- у нас из номера пропала шоколадка(((

Rommet var ikke klart når vi kom. Åpnet rommet og det var helt bomba. Generell dårlig rengjøring de dagene vi var der. Hotellet er veldig sentralt og anbefales likevel. Vi kunne gå til absolutt alt og hotellbetjeneinga ellers var veldig hjelpsomme.

部屋のくさい臭いがせず、とてもよいです。観光に便利ですが、オペラ劇場は若干遠い。

Vi var på hotellet en langhelg i starten av september. Skulle være kort tid og ville bo sentralt. Til det var hotellet supert. To minutter til alt. Frokosten var enkel, men helt grei mat. Servicen var veldig bra på hotellet. De var hjelpsomme dersom du trengte hjelp til noe. Hotellet er ikke et luksushotell, men supert dersom du ikke krever det. Kan absolutt anbefale dette hotellet.
