basic hotel. I booked a room with king size bed but it was only a double. Drinks at bar v. expensive

Was nice, and a comfortable and clean place to stay.

Hotel is great, very clean, lovely rooms, great bathroom and great comfy beds. The only thing that I didn't like was the housekeepers in the morning would knock once then come straight in with keys, made me feel very uncomfortable. There was tea and coffee in room but a few little biscuits as well would have been a nice touch. Overall I will be back, and it's great.

A horrible smelly little room with rising damp and mould growing in the bathroom. If you need breakfast go early as they do not replace the food and you do not even what to know the eggs are like an hour into service. We did try dinner and sat there for some time(10/15mins) until my wife had to go and find someone and was then told you needed to order food at the bar, this is not noted anywhere and made it a little more frustrating as the staff could see us sitting down for food and was just ignored. The service is poor and drinks overpriced and the food microwaved and with nowhere else in walking distance your limited what to do. (Take sandwiches) Just a little more care would have made this review 100% better, like some mildew remover and bleach for the bathroom would have made a the difference, staff that could care a little more about customer service and belter prepared food. As I noted and the reason I did not mark this as a 1 rating as it was cheap and you get what you pay for!

The hotel provided excellent value for money, the staff were efficient and friendly, cheaper than the usual budget hotel but much better facilities. I will definitely use Days Hotels again.

Stayed here twice in two weeks for work. Very pleasant and comfortable. It's a shame the hotel was out of complimentary toothpaste and only has two irons left. Other than that, a perfectly nice experience and great value for money.

The title says it all really. No major problems with the room. My one niggle would be that the bathroom was getting a bit tired and could do with a spring clean (new grout & mastic fot example would make it much better). However the major thing was that the heater in the room was only on when we were present, so with snow on the ground we arrived in our room to no heating. We overcame the issue and popped out for an hour or so while the room heated up, but I would have expected to turn up to a heated room. other than that no major problems, and a great pub just down the road, they even to "cakeaway"... :-)

Perfect location just of the M1 J40 and just far enough away from it to avoid any noise!staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms are what you expect from a budget hotel and nice and clean and comfy. If you do stay here then check out Silkwood Farm pub 2 mins away on the industrial estate.excelent food and HUGH cakes! Will be using this hotel again as a stopover when we go to Scotland in the summer.

Staying overnight before a 10k road race the next day it was everything I could have hoped for. The service from the hotel staff was friendly and accommodating while the room was both spacious and spotlessly clean with plenty of amenities ensuring there was nothing I didn't require. Would definitely stay there again.

The service from the night receptionist - David ? was excellent. He was helpful and obliging despite hotels.com not advising the hotel of the booking.Unforutunatley, the television didn't work.

Excellent location, motorway access etc. Staff very helpful, will stay with you again. So handy.

Stayed here before and it has everything we need.

Do not be confused that Days Inn & Days Hotels offer the same services...As a business traveller I have reports to run via a laptop so WI-FI availability in room is a major factor for me. At Days Inn Wi Fi is Free but at Days Hotels it is chargeable anywhere in the building - The hotel is clean & room comfortable & the location is convenient for motorway with plenty of free parking, but not much in the immediate area -

We wetre very happy with the room-the bed was very comfortable and large enabling a good nights sleep. just a couple of pointers. 1. the dispenser in the shower did not work. 2. there were only 3 teabags and 3 coffees supplied,which should surely be either 2 or 4? as there were two of us staying, we had a cup of tea on arrival-then there was only 1 teabag for the morning-where it would have been nice to have had another two teabags (one each). We asked the room service lady-who said that it was company policy to have 3 of each in the room-we asked for more to be left and she was completely happy to do this. We enjoyed our stay, it suited us fine and the price was good too. We shall stay again when we visit our family.

I was really happy with the room, the staff friendliness etc. Shame that the breakfast was so poor. The hot food looked as though it had been there all night and the cold servery hadn't kept the fruit and yogurts cold, so it was toast, which wasn't really good value for £7.50

Friendly staff - but desk was often unmanned. I had dinner there three times and found it OK. One negative point, the printout of extras was unreadable - the printer was not working properly

Duty evening receptionist (supervisor) superior to duty day receptionist (supervisor), she looks tired, he was excellent. Poor condition of the room (even for a smoking room it should be on better shape, it needs to be refurbished). Food (average). Other clients: great fun (only reason to come back, of course the evening receptionist supervisor was an excellent host, too.). Price: more expensive than it should be. Overall -1 to 5: 3

Basic hotel, but clean. Marked down cleanliness because of the mildew in the bathroom, otherwise very good. The kettle in my room didn't work and when i asked for a replacement i was told i couldn't have another kettle but i could move room if i wished. Seemed a little bit excessive to me!! So no tea/coffee then :(. Would recommend though.

Customer service was very poor. Basically the team at the hotel need coaching,the management team need to be more involved . EASY

Does exactly what it should , 1 minute off the M1 , clean plain room , ironing board brought up , great basic cooked breakfast bacon sausage egg , helpful staff , only downside was £9 for a pint and a glass of wine but I suppose given the extremely low room rate they have to make money somewhere....

I stayed here with my husband and son for one night. We were very impressed with the price on booking . We usually spend double per room and so we were not expecting too much.... we were very impressed on how clean bright and modern the hotel is. And the staff very welcoming. Our room was lovely again very clean and welcoming. we all ate the hotel that evening and i must say the ham and eggs is the best i have ever had. My husband had a burger and my son a pasta dish. all cooked very well and very tasty ..breakfast in the morning again great. Please do not be put off by the price it is a great hotel... Well done Days hotel !! I will be returning there tonight

Very friendly and professional staff, overall a refreshing alternative to a travelodge. Nearby gym with pool, sauna etc is a great bonus too.

This was the first stay at a Days, and i was slightly disappointed when compared to other hotels of a similar price range. Little things - no biscuits with drinks tray, none of the soap containers would work (when mentioned on departure - I was told that it is best to hit them hard!) Perhaps filling them would have helped. The lift jumped before moving. The selection of cooled fruit at the breakfast bar - e.g. grapefruit - was limited. Only 2 choices of fruit juice. No fried eggs available, only marmalade/honey/one type of jam available. I would have expected more for £7.50. Minor points - but they added up to "slightly disappointed" as all seem to be cost saving related factors. On the plus side the staff were helpful, the room clean and breakfast staff welcoming.

we booked through hotel.com and the map was awful we took ages to find it yet the hotel was just of the motorway. hotel was what it is but the towels were very worn and I wouldnt class it 3 star.

Hotel is modern, clean and quiet. Not really suitable if you are looking for easy access to the city centre or a any entertainment on the doorstep but excellent for M1 access.

Chambre famille réservée mais déjà attribuée à l'arrivée. "tassés" dans une chambre (pas moyen de se lever du lit sans marcher sur les lits des enfants". Propretée de la salle de bain et des sols à revoir. Bon accueil. Ok pour une nuit d'etape.
