Even though hotel Savoy was old and definitely needs refurbishment, location was great, in the middle od the city centre. And the staff was excellent, so helpful.

Decent price, location and features for a Geneva hotel. Rooms are small but clean (bathroom tiny), if your room is at the back, noise is no problem. Decent breakfast (strangely in a pub next door) probably better value than other places, and better quality (although the coffee was a bit rough). Altogether well worth it- for the same price, probably more, you will not find better.

The hotel is somewhat stark, but completely clean and 1/2 block from the train station. Also, the staff was very helpful. I'd stay there again if I was looking for an economic hotel.

Very basic hotel, near central station (if that's what you want). Breakfast isn't bad - in the Brittania pub two doors down the road! Only criticism: my toilet was squashed into a corner with the sink right in front. It was too close to the wall to sit on properly and impossible to stand in front of. But for the price what do you expect....

Priced right and with a great central location, Hotel Savoy met all of my needs in my most recent stay. The room was small, making actually sitting at the desk a challenge because there is so little room between the desk and the bed, and the bathroom was literally closet-sized, but overall, Hotel Savoy is a very good value considering the price and location.

The overall stay was fair, but they charged us local taxes on top of the amount we paid to Hotels.com. This was not clear to us prior to our leaving the country. Please note breakfast is not served in this hotel, but in the hotel located next door.

Hotel is just across the main station. You can watch the trams and busses leave from your window. The hotel is a lovely lady and well kept. But using the lift with your luggage and family at once...impossible!! We had to go up 1 by 1 with our luggage (haha big fun !) The staff was friendly and willing to help. The room was big and well kept. Bathroom clean and functional.Enough warm water at all times. The hotel is within walking distance from the lake. Many shops and restuarants surround the hotel. Although breakfast is not served in the hotel but next door,it was of good quality and staff friendly.Many people may frown upon having breakfast in a bar, but the place had a lovely ambience to it. It was a cosy and neat,with no old beer smell to it. We enjoyed our stay, and shall return,should we visit the city again.Thank you!

Hotel was clean, staff mostly friendly. Mattress comfortable, pillow not. Bathroom very small, the toilet required squeezing in between sink and shower, which would give a heavy-set person trouble. Breakfast is served in a pub a few doors down the street, it's inconvenient and I didn't use it. Coffee (e.g. Starbucks, sad to say) and bakery (shopping mall under the railway station) nearby, so easy enough to get breakfast elsewhere. For a "cheaper" hotel its decent enough.

Excellent experience at Hotel Savoy. I stayed for a week in October 2010 and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The hotel could not be more convenient and the staff is helpful, polite and knowledgeable. The only minor issue is the login system for their free in-room wifi. It only permits on login at a time, so I can't connect both my laptop and mobile phone, and the redirection to the login screen mysteriously stops working, sometimes for days at a time, making the wifi inaccessible. Other than that, it was a delightful stay.

I found the Hotel Savoy to be everything I was looking for in a business hotel - clean, comfortable and convenient. Like seemingly every hotel in Geneva, the rooms lack enough power outlets for today's business traveler, and their Internet access limits you to one device at a time, which is inconvenient for smartphone users. But overall, it provided excellent value and comfort.

My second stay at the Savoy. Fine location near the Cornavin station (and quick access to airport). One minute to six major tram line stops. Very well run hotel. Free WiFi. Breakfast at next door restaurant is bountiful, but not at all Swiss!

I asked for a quiet non-smoker room and that is what I got. It was quiet yet it could have been quieter if they had an extra door to the bedroom. Even though I was up in the 5th floor and thus people traffic was not that high you could very often hear people talking in front of my door like as if they were talking right next to my bed. I guess it was cleaning personal, but I don't know that for sure. As I said earlier the room I got was a non-smoker, but it was not entirely smoke free. Either through the vent or through the door some neighbor's smoke came into my room. This was by far the most unpleasant experience with my stay at this hotel and I decided to sleep with open windows. Sleeping with open windows was ok and not as loud as expected since my room faced to the rear of the building. Occasional garbage trucks, hooligans people walking by did not disturb me too much.

Rooms were decent sized, location is unbeatable. However, hotel does look like its trapped in the '70s. But its very, very clean. Right across the street from the train station. Id stay with them again.

Best location across from central station, walk to the lake. Includes WiFi,free, in your room! Includes a transit card for the duration of your stay. Includes a more than adequate breakfast. Bathrooms are ridiculously tiny, but how much time are you going to spend in there anyway? Good value.

No one was present at reception and I had to wait ten minutes for someone to show up. Room was right above reception and very noisy, both from street noise and from lobby noise. Remote control for TV was missing and after I requested and received one, it didn't work. Free pass for Geneva public transportation is a nice plus, though I wasn't there long enough to take advantage of it. If you need to be close to train station, it's adequate, but I wouldn't stay there otherwise.

LOCATION When arriving at Geneva Airport, after picking up your luggage don't forget to collect your free public transport ticket from the machine located in the luggage collection area by the exit door. This will give you free travel anywhere in Geneva for the next 80 mins. Then go and catch any train to Central Geneva (they all go there) which only takes about 6 mins and free with your travel card. Very easy. Arriving at Geneva train station, the hotel is located on Place de Cornavin which is just a few mins (no more than 5mins) walk away from the station. HOTEL Check-in was smooth and you get a travel pass for ALL public transport within the whole of Geneva (inc trams, trains, passanger boats and buses) throughout your stay. Rooms have air-con, fridge and safe. Furnishing is a bit dated but the rooms are clean. We had a room facing the back to a very quiet courtyard so we had no problem with noise. BREAKFAST It is served in the nearby Brittania Pub (2 doors away) and you get vouchers for it from the receptionist each morning. The continental breakfast is OK but the cooked is nothing spectacular. The pub is not a very nice setting for breakfast but was acceptable for a short break.

The hotel is comfortable and clean. The breadfast is nice. However, I have to mention the receptionist. During our stay, the daytime stuff (a man) was very helpful and friendly. But the lady was very rude and mean. She's not friendly at all, you can hardly get any word out of her. She needs to change her attitude. There was the only downside of this hotel.

OLDISH HOTEL IDEALLY LOCATED WITH VERY HELPFUL PERSONNEL. WOULD HAVE LLIKE NICER BUT THE LOCATION WAS IDEAL.

Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist optimal,sicher auf einem sonst teuren Pflaster wie Genf! Die Fenster zum Bahnhofplatz hin sind gut isoliert, so dass absolut kein störender Lärm durchdringt. Zusatzleistungen wie gratis Tageskarten für den öffentlichen Verkehr. Unbedingt empfehlenswert.

El hotel está a menos de un minuto de la estación de tren de Ginebra. Al hacer Checkin, nos dieron unas tarjetas que nos permitia utilizar el trasporte público de la ciudad los días de nuestra estacia, también esa tarjeta la pudimos utilizar para volver al aeropuerto. el desayuno lo ofrece un bar que está al lado, ofrecen un buen servicio.

Nice & clean, great beds (best we had on this holiday). Reception staff was somewhat unattentive/evasive but not unkind. OK breakfast served in pub next door. Extremely centrally located (railway station 2 mins walk) but not that noisy, actually (use earplugs if a problem, I always do).

Chambre très petite mais au calme. Salle de bains visuellement propre mais pas olfactivement. Petit déjeuner servi au pub d'à côté. Très bien Au global, hotel avec bon rapport qualité prix pour un séjour court.

Hotellet er helt ok. Ikke "over the top" men et bra hotel midt i sentrum til en god pris. Bra frokost som serveres på en engelsk pub. Bra mat og fine lokaler.

Met name de goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding en de ligging tegenover het station maken dit een handig hotel voor wie in Geneve moet zijn. Verwacht geen luxe maar basic is er niets op aan te merken. Zowel congrescentrum als oude stad zijn goed bereikbaar.

Das Hotel Savoy liegt ideal schräg gegenüber des Hauptbahnhof Genf (Gare Cornavin). Von hier hat man ideale Verbindungen mit ö.V. in alle Richtungen. An den See und in die Altstadt kann man sogar zu Fuss gehen. Zwar war das Bad etwas klein, jedoch ist das für 1 Nacht ok. Alles in allem ist das Verhältnis Preis-Leistung in Ordnung.

Atendimento, limpeza, conforto, localização, preço... tudo super compensador.... e o café da manhã então... foi o melhor da viagem pela Suiça. Procurei em vários pela internet pois não conhecia Genebra (Geneve). Depois de pesquisar, achei que perto da estação Cornavin se pega trem para Suiça toda e até TGV, além de ser perto do Lago e outros recursos turísticos. Existem alguns hotéis mais baratos e com boa aparência, e até mesmo, próximos em localização, mas existem algumas ruas ali que não são nem um pouco adequadas para se ficar. Se for p Genebra outra vez, não tenho dúvidas, fico de novo no Savoy

Le petit déjeuner, pris dans un pub voisin, est meilleur (english breakfast notamment) que dans la plupart des hôtels de même catégorie de la place qui le gèrent en interne. Comme quoi, l'externalisation a parfois du bon! En dehors d'un espace toilette exigu et d'une qualité d'image télé incertaine, chambre confortable et accueil professionnel. Je reviendrai

The hotel staff service was mediocre, the size of the rooms was small and the breakfast less than average considering the price, but if you need somewhere to sleep and doesn`t want to completely be ruined in a costly city, it is a good choice. The location of the hotel is good, but as it is a relative small city, other places might be worth checking out as well.

Bra funktionellt hotel, utmärkt frukost, bra läge - nära järnvägsstation vilket var viktigt för mig.
