I was absolutely amazed about the efforts the concierge went to find my colleague and me a fine restaurant and a cigar bar. I made a note of her name but misplaced it. She was fantastic.

elieve it was an excellent and budget-wise choice: the interior is nice, rooms well design-like equipped, and - especially - the staff is extremely attentive but not intrusive which is making the stay a very pleasant experience. location is just brilliant - walking distance to potstdammer, musem insel, topografie des terrors, etc. breakfast and internet are overpriced (i never understood why in germany, wifi in rooms is not part of the service), but there is plenty places around where you can eat cheap and connect for free. for a dinner, the choice and quality of meals in the hotel restaurant is what you would expect - not cheap, but very tasty. highly recommended!

An absolutely lovely hotel close to almost everything. Our room was great with both a bathtub and shower! Free Internet and use of printer in the business area so that we could check in online for our return flight. The anhalter bahnhof (underground metro) was only a couple of minutes away and very efficient. The only thing we didn't like was the temperature in the room sometimes. We could change the temperature on a monitor (air con) but sometimes it turned itself off, and it became really cold in the room. Mind you it only happened once or twice and I'm sure the reception could of helped us with it if we were extremely bothered.

Walking distance from Checkpoint Charlie,Branden, Topography of terror, potsdamer, and the reichstag. pleanty of places to eat and drink about as well

The hotel is conveniently located---a 10 minute walk from Potsdamer Platz and near a number of nice and affordable restaurants--cafes, Italian, Vietnamese, and others. We even walked to all the museums and monuments, avoiding public transportation (some were long but pleasant walks). The hotel itself is "Art Deco modern"---comfortable despite being "hard-edged." The restaurant is good but a bit overpriced (as is most of Berlin for Americans). The staff is polite and helpful. I could not cash a $100 Travelers Check, however---the sum was "too much." Banks do not cash those checks either---you'll need to find a "Change" store. We felt that the hotel value was quite good for the price.

Very satisfied with the hotel. Very clean, conveniently located but most importantly extremely friendly & helpful staff who made us feel very welcome. If I go back to Berlin, this is where I am staying again. Thank you Moevenpick staff esp duty managers

The location, service and cleanliness of the room were all very good. The only weird thing was the glass block walls for the toliet/shower making it somewhat see through. So be advised if travelling with someone other than your significant other.

fabulous hotel, staff are brilliant and speak perfect english. the only down side for me was a 22 euro charge per persin for breakfast, way way too expensive.

Hotel location is pretty good, walking distance to most main tourist sites. Not as centrally located as the Westin and others, but not bad. Rooms are modern and clean. Restaurant buffet was pretty good for all meals, probably not as good as past reviewers have made the breakfast out to be. Breakfast buffet on par with any 4 star north american hotel. Free internet access offered on their computers was appreciated. Like all german hotels we've stayed in, the pillows offered are as thin as breath mints - you can order up more pillows and use 3 to get thickness of 1 in north america.

The Hotel was clean and the staff were freindly, but the breakfast was much too expensive. For anyone booking the hotel I was recommend them to eat breakfast in the cafe down the street. It has real italian coffee, fresh bread and pastries, and opens at 6AM, you can eat beakfast like a king for 8Euro instead of paying 20 Euros in the Hotel. Also our room did not have a bath, and the hotel was fully booked to could not change. Be sure to request in advance if this is important to you. The location is good, and you can hire bikes at the hotel. Its close to bus and metro stops, but you can easily walk to close by attractions. All in all a good hotel, if not a bit pricey.

Fantastic hotel -- very good value for price, quiet, great customer service, and extremely good location both for walking and U-Bahn. Only thing to beware is internet is an extra charge, a few euros for an hour or more for longer periods.

My friend and I booked the junior suite, which definitely more for couples. Beautiful place though, staff were very friendly and the rooms huge. You can rent bikes from the reception, and the concierge was very helpful. No wifi which was a bit annoying. Restaurant served beautiful food, and although we didn't have it the buffet breakfast looked amazing. There was a metro stop just up from the hotel so it was easy to get around too.

Moevenpik is a smartly designed hotel centrally situated in Berlin. We got a good rate, 3 nights for price of 2 . With prices like that I would have been happy with the usual nondescript hotels one comes across. However Moevenpik was a pleasant surprise. Breakfast buffet for 23 euro had good selections. We had dinner in the restaurant one evening . It was good and not overly expensive.

About a 10 min walk to Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie and Topography of Terror. Subway stop on the corner which was very convenient when we wanted to travel to other areas. Since there is not one "central" area but many sprawled out pockets staying at a hotel close to te tube was very convenient. Would definitely recommend the hotel for the price!

This hotel was really a great find. I highly recommend it - staff were EXTREMELY helpful and even went out to buy tickets for shows and brought them back to the hotel for us to pick up. Rooms are nice too.

Service was great and our room was amazing. 8 minute walk to the underground metro, huge shopping/dining center, checkpoint Charlie, and remaining parts of the Berlin wall. One metro stop from the Brandenburg Gate and the area that is undoubtedly the must-see for tourists. Area directly around the hotel is very calm, quiet, and clean. Hotel breakfast is expensive but there are plenty of cafes and restaurants around. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great location, huge rooms, friendly stafff. Near Potsdamer area which has great outdoor restaurant area, particularly the Sony Center Courtyard.

Room was perfect. quiet and luxerious with awesome bathroom. WOW, truely a 4-5 star hotel. Wish we could have stayed in the room instead of site seeing. ;-)

Hotel room was fantastic- staff friendly + helpful. Restaurant has a 'griill chef' rather than a chef so good for sandwich + chips but very expensive. Our 22.50 Euro Salmon was incinerated + traditional German dish with 3 boiled eggs on mash with mustard was tasty buy expensive at 10.50 Euro. Nice family bakery/cafe a few doors along does great all day breakfast ommelete with fresh roll + proper side salad for 4.50euro.

We recently stayed in Movenpick Hotel and would highly recommend the hotel. The room was quite spacious, clean and modern. The hotel is conveniently located to Potsdamer Platz which has a wide variety of cafe/restaurants. Hotel is also nearby to station which is convenient for getting to / away from Berlin. Only negative point is that you have to pay for the internet and the breakfast is extremely expensive at 22 euro each! We walked down to Potsdamer Platz and grabbed breakfast at cafe for 6 euro and they had free wifi - (Caros Coffee).

This was a great larger hotel with many rooms, restaurant and bar. Location was good, just a short walk to underground train stations and neaby Potsdamer square. The rooms were very nice and modern, although they were standard hotel size, roomy enough. But we were always out exploring the wonderful city of Berlin. This is a very good hotel option for Berlin.

Nice hotel and kind and professional personel. Good location and you can walk basically everywhere from the Hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay in the Moevenpick Hotel in Berlin. We choosed the hotel because of the proximity to the German Snooker Masters and it was a very good option. The Hotel is closed to local transport and very near Postdamer and most of the turist atractions in the city. Rooms are very modern, well decorated and clean, only the heating was low for my taste and it was bit cold. The restaurant is very cozy and the bar was great, only comment is that it opens only in the afternoon. Overall I will recommend it to everybody and I will stay here again on my next visit to the German capital.

My check-in was better than I had expected! I've stayed at another Movenpick before & it wasn't so great. But this one was excellent because the service was really friendly & very helpful since I don't speak german! I'm happy to tell others what a great place it was. Location was great too because Potsdamer Platz is right in the middle of the new business district. Also the hotel is located right across from the Anhalter station -- best way to get around town.

I traveled solo to Berlin as I wanted to explore the city. I did meet up with my brother & his girlfriend for a couple days. I felt very comfortable at the hotel, was near to the subway and within walking distance to restaurants and sites. The staff was very helpful and friendly as I asked many questions on directions. I did have breakfast one morning in the restaurant at the hotel and although the breakfast buffet was not inexpensive (I usually have a bowl of cereal at home) it was very good and a nice experience. I do recommend it but not every morning......too much food but delicious. I would stay again at this hotel and I do want to get back to Berlin; I needed one or two more days. Was fun and interesting.

The room we were provided at a very reasonable rate was tremendous. The vaulted ceiling added to the size and openness of the room. Also liked the cleanliness of the room and that it provided a separate toilet room from the shower and bathtub (also separate). We also had some good times in the bar area and the bar tender (Jan) provided some excellent guidance on where to enjoy the night life in Berlin on an off night (Monday)…thanks again Jan!

The hotel has been recently renovated and was very nice, had a room on the top floor that was quiet. The underground S-Bahn station is pretty much next door to the hotel and Potsdamer Plazt is only ten minutes walk away.

Had a 3 day spring break in this atmospheric and historic hotel. Situated a short stroll from Potsdamer Platz, it is ideal for exploring the heart of the city. We were fortunate to make use of a great offer which enabled my wife and I to opt for the free breakfast and our friends to get a free room upgrade. We also dined twice in the hotel restaurant, such was the quality of the food and the service. Absolutely no complaints to record. This is a hotel with real character, one which can be recommended wholeheartedly.

At first they charged us for breakfast, though it was included in the price. But it was quickly corrected. Otherwise we were very happy and satisfied with our stay and the hotelstandard.

Excellent Swiss standard of cleanliness and efficiency. The hotel staff was extremely courteous and helpful and all spoke english. I thought the hotel was more centrally located, but Berlin is a huge city with excellent public transportation. The Subway was half a block away and the bus stopped in front of the hotel and we were within 20 minutes of everything we wanted to see. Breakfast buffet was expensive.

We selected this hotel based on Tripadvisor's feedback. It was great, staff went the extra mile for us, even after we had checked out..

The Movenpick Berlin is ideally located, a mere 50 yards from Anhalter Banhof which links to the airport express train at Friedrichstrasse. Far enough outside of the city hustle to be quiet and close enough (2 stops or 4 minutes on the subway) to be right amongst the sites. We stayed in a Junior Suite which was more like a large double. Lost part of the room due to being in the roof of the building but gave the room character. Oddly enough the bed was in the centre of the room and you could all the way around! Very nice hotel and staff were helpful.

Das Hotel Mövenpick liegt mitten in der Stadt am Anhalterbahnhof. Zu Fuss eine Viertelstunde vom stillgelegten Flughafen Berlin- Tempelhof, zehn Minuten vom Hauptbahnhof und dem Brandenburger Tor/Reichstag. Trotz seiner zentralen Lage ist das Hotel sehr ruhig gelegen. Das Zimmer (Junior Suite) war gemütlich und Grosszügig. auch der Zimmerservice und das Housekeeping war gut. Einzige Abstriche muss ich beim Restaurant machen. Obwohl das Essen gut war, bin ich einen höheren Standardt von Möevenpickrestaurants gewöhnt. die Karte war grösstenteils nicht nach meinem Geschmack und die Zusammenstellung/Präsentation der Speisen im besten Fall einfach. Das Frühstück war wie immer erstklassig. Unter dem Strich muss ich sagen, dass das Hotel zwar nicht günstig ist, aber seinen Preis auf jeden Fall wert ist.
