Whisky Pete's is one of the 3 hotels located at stateline Nevada just before you arrive at Las Vegas. Normally I do not stay at Stateline as their are really no attractions in that area other than The Primm golf course. THE PRO'S: 1). Of the 3 hotels/ casinos located there it is significantly cheaper than the other two. 2) There is a free tram that can take you to the other 2 casino's and it is a very short trip. 3) The room themselves were average but were kept very clean. THE CONS: 1) All the stateline hotels appear to be declining but Whiskey Pete's is probably the worst. The casino is small, smells like cigarette smoke (probably because it is an older casino and the ventilation is not as good as the newer ones), and was nearly deserted. The people who were staing there were mostly the construction workers who are working on a very large project next to the hotel.2) The spa was empty and the pool had an extensive amount of algae at the bottom so I would not consider it swimmable. 3) The restaurant and cafe they do have close very early (they do not appear to have enough business to keep it open for later hours). If you are going to play golf at Primm with the guys,I would stay there again as the rates are lower, the rooms are ok and you can also go to the other the casinos via the tram if this casino does'nt strike your fancy. If I were to take my family, I would definately stay at the other casino, the Primadona.

Had a fun time and would go again. Disappointed that there was no valet parking and no cart service. We packed plenty and had to make 2 trips to the car to unload. Hoping this will change when renovations are complete.

We stayed here as a stop off while going to California and back. The sstay on the way out was terrible so they upgraed us to a mini suite. We asked what that included and the chech in girl told us it had a king bed, a sofa sleeper and we could request a roll away. She also said it had a fridge. When we got to the room it looked nice but it didnt have a fridge. when i called for a roll away bed they told me they were out and had been all day. When we pulled the cusions off of the couch we discovered that it was not a sofa sleeper, just a couch. Now we had 1 king bed to sleep 5 people. my husband, granddaughter and I slept on the bed. My son slept on the couch cusions on the floor while my grandson slept on the couch springs with the bed comforter under him. The room had a feeling of rent by the hour. Plastic cover on the bed and adult movies. I will never stay here again.

I have stayed at the Whiskey Pete hotel many, many time and this is the first time, I was very unhappy with my stay at this hotel, with the maintenance. When we got to our room, we turn on the T.V. and found adult programing, as we were go thought the channel, we called the front to let them know we need to get the adult channels off, due to we had two little boys with us, they said that they would take care of it, well when we got back from having dinner, the audlt programing was still there, we call the front desk again. This time they gave us another room, that was great, but little did we know until the next morning when we had to wash our face and brush our teeth they was NO FAUCET. As I was checking us out at the front desk I told the guy, the room we were in has bathroom issure's, and you need to take a look, also non or the Ice machine worked on any of the floors we had to get Ice at the casino bar. I am so sorry I had to go thought this Whiskey Pete is a great hotel.

I know this place isn't the Hilton but I do expect a clean and functioning room. Checking in was easy. We got to our room and found a toothpick on the floor, the carpets were dirty. The toilet was running, I tried to fix it to no avail. We called to have someone come look at it. We arrived late and we were ready for bed. After 30 min.we asked for another room. The next morning my wife got into the shower only to find we had no cold water. The toilet tank was empty and the sink didn't work either. They gave us a third room to shower in which still had had garbage in the trash can. We found a dead scorpion in the lobby restroom. The parking lot was full of garbage.

THE LOCATION WAS GOOD ,HOTELS OLD BUT COMFORTABLE FOR THE HOTEL I WOULD STAY AGAIN

Deferred maintenance galore. This hotel sucks! Carpet in the hallways was coming up and were filthy. Our bathroom was missing a shower head!

No surprises here-I needed a place on the west side of Vegas, to get a jump on my drive back to Norcal., so I paid the minimum and got it. This place is cheap and you get what you pay for. Now, I am not fussy, and don't care much--the bed was comfortable, and the AC and TV worked; but it's obviously a pretty seedy establishment overall: carpets in hallways all fraying at the seams, and stained and with cig burns, faucet dripping pretty heavily, about 1/3 of light bulbs burned out in my bathroom and 1/2 in the elevator . . . overall, pretty down-in-the-mouth. But I am the rare (or not?) guest who doesn't really want to pay for anything fancier than that, and as long as there is no stale cigarette stench or roaches (there was neither--all very clean), then I'm good. After all, this is Whiskey Pete's--nobody stays there expecting the Bellagio or Venetian.

It's an ok hotel and casino. The room was nice enough to stay in but the up keep of the hotel was lacking. I would stay there again because the price was right but it's not one of your better hotels.

Absolutely horrible... First key didn't work, called desk to ask for one to be brought up to me due to hauling all my bags up there and was told they were short staffed and didn't have anyone available, I had to go back to the desk. Rooms were very old, and really smelt like smoke. I was playing golf the weekend in Primm, ended getting a room in Vegas for less money than I paid to stay there. I have stayed there years prior and couldn't belive how bad it's gotten.

Hotel was ok, staff were not very customer oriented, with the exception of Ms Charleston who was very helpful. We enjoyed our stay, she should teach the staff customer service.

This is no dream vacation, just a great place to rest on your way to it.

Yes we arrived at 3 am after driving 8 hours to get there and they took a long time to check us in even though no one was there. Then when they sent us to our room, we lugged our luggage up the ramp to the elevator walked to the furthest end of the hall, opened the door and found suite. Kind of nice, however, it was an entertainment suite, not a sleeping suite. Yep, NO BED. When I called the front desk she acted surprised. We had to lug our luggage back down to our car, drive across the freeway to the other hotel and check in there. They sent us to a room with a bed but that took another 30 minutes out of our sleep time. They told us check out was noon. We went to breakfast, which ended at 11 so really it was lunch. It took soooo long to prepare we didn't get back to our room till 12:10 and our door key was deactivated. Luckily we found a maid who would open the door so we could get our luggage and leave. Not a good experience.

I was disappointed in the room, when I first walked in I tripped over the torn carpet right at the door. There was, or I didn't see it, no toilet paper roll. I had to use kleenex. The sink was so small I couldn't lay my makeup and curling iron on it to get dressed for my day. The one thing that was good, the price.

Chose this hotel solely for location. Had to call twice for an iron, ice machine on our floor not working, food and coffee had an odd taste

It was a nice hotel just a lil run down but couldnt complain who really stays n there room all nite & day in state line & vegas just up the road

We usually come for concerts, so it is nice to be able to stay over night for a cheep price... The room is clean and is big enough for what we need it for... a place to change clothes and sleep!! The bad news is that there is nowhere good to eat in the whole town... so don't plan a fancy trip to include good food too!!

The hotel has seen better days. The carpet is worn as well as the paint and controls for the elevator. There was duct tape on the hallway carpet where it has seperated. The mattress was old and very hard. The room overall was clean. Still using CRT TV's but not a big deal. Had to ask twice for an extra blanket. For the weekly rate it was adequate but would not pay trhe weekend rate.

It was my first time staying here. Hotel is pretty small as well as the rooms. Appearance of hotel is in somewhat poor condition. Few games were broken down, room floor looked like it wasn't vacuumed and there is only two places to eat inside the hotel, McDonald's and their Mega Cafe. Try the country fried steak 16 oz. from the Cafe. Talk about yum! Staying here is definitely meant for passing through town, not really a vacation getaway in my eyes. Staff was extremely friendly though.

This hotel is suitable if you need to crash. Otherwise there are better and more expensive choices. Good services in the neighborhood. This includes a discount shopping center.

I love staying here. When ever I go to stateline this is where I always will stay

The hotel is what you would expect for the price. It wasn't bad...except for check in. It took 45 minutes to check in at midnight. Good location and amenities.

This was the first time my husband and I stayed at stateline, and this hotel was not at all what I was expecting. I knew it wasn't a first class hotel, but I thought it would be better than what it was. We waited a very long time to check in as they only had ONE person working the desk. I had reserved a non-smoking room with a king bed. Upon checking in, I was told there were none of these rooms available but the hotel employee would "see what he could do". We were given the type of room requested, however, the floor did not seem to be a non-smoking floor. It smelled very badly like smoke. The carpet in the hallways were worn out and connected with duct tape. The bed was very uncomfortable and you could feel the springs. The bathroom was stocked with only one towel. The blackout curtains were broken and would not close all the way. Overall, I do not recommend staying here.

The carpet in the halls is in need of replacement but the casino area was pretty clean. This hotel is just my speed, not too crowded, the casino isn't too big. Perfect for girls weekend getaway. The band that plays on Friday and Saturday night is the same band we saw 6-8 months ago. The are great! Cheep beer, McDonald's or the Cafe if you are hungry. Over all I would say it's a good value if that;s what you're looking for. It's definitely not a 4 start hotel, but if you are looking to get away for a weekend to have some drinks and do a little gambling, you can't beat the price. The outlet mall and the other casinos are just a 5 minute tram ride away.

The hotel is very old and the cleaning staff must pay attention to vacumn and dust all corners of the room as when stepping out of bed and the curtains opened and bright sunlight throughout the room you are able to see the unvacumned and undusted room and I stumbled upon a pile of cut toenails in front of the bed (at least I am hoping so)

The A/c in my room didn't work and it took one hole day for them to fix it the guy came at 9pm to fix it when I was already in bed for the night

There were a couple small problems - one electrical outlet didn't work, so dimly lite room. The sink drained very, very slow. I did leave a note telling them of the above. Other than that was a big room and clean. Worked for us. Would stay again at the right price.

No hot water. Tub would back up 6" deep people running place don't care. Worst hotel I have ever stayed at

Just a older casino that is showing its age. Room was ok but shower head broken. Do not drink the water horrible and has an odor.
