Baker's Sunset Bay Resort - ويسكونسن ديلز

Well first impressions were not bad at all. I wish we could of enjoyed our trip a little more. The walls are paper thin so you can hear everything. Woke up to kids running around and maintence replacing carpet at 7am. The property itself is very nice. Rooms are outdated but for the price it was a good deal. Prob won't stay here again. To many other resorts with better accommodations.

Overall, I must say that we had a very pleasant time at the Sunset Bay Resort. It's not the perfect hotel room, but it was comfortable and offered a wonderful family atmosphere on a beautiful lake. We took advantage of the free kayak and row boats available to the guests, which my wife, son and I enjoyed thoroughly. We stayed here during the "off season", so I'm not sure how the stay might differ from busier times, but we enjoyed it. The only real negative was the odd smell in the room, which we were able to cover up pretty quickly. For the price, location and amenities, we were very satisfied.

Loved the free availability of wood for a fire and row boats. Older hotel but clean, neat large rooms.

This is the best place to stay Very clean and the people that work there are very nice. We had a amazing stay and plan on returning and recommending this place to everyone.....It is located perfectly...The room was so clean it was great. We will rate this place a 5 star for sure......All i can say is Amazing!!!!

Nice place, had the lake view room. A little noise in the hall late at night, mostly family's with kids, but its more of a family place. Beds where comfortable.

WE enjoyed our stay overall. But there was noise in the other rooms until late, though we appreciated staff helping to remedy this. Simple hotel, but clean and comfortable.

I was so very impressed! I was there for spring break But I Plan on returning when the snow is gone. The location is set for perfect Summer enjoyment! I will be back. The staff was so wonderful the price was awesome and the view was beautiful. The rooms were clean comfortable and quiet. The location is off the beatin path and I loved the place.

Great room for the price. It's in a great location close to everything in the Dells but hidden away from the noise. The hotel room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The hotel needs a little updating but every hotel/motel in the Dells needs updating. It's a great place to stay and hands down the best place to stay if you have a PET.

You can tell this is a more popular resort during the summer because of the beach area. It was still nice though. They let me upgrade to a king size since I had to book 2 queens and the new room had a balcony facing the lake with plenty I privacy from others. The bed was comfy and had lots of amenities like a full fridge, microwave, stove and cookware. The only complaint is that our water wouldn't stay hot in the shower. Please fix that and ill be back!

The mattresses are not that comfortable, plus they have the insignia crt tvs (now days lcd tvs cost around $200).

Great stay, Quiet , Love to visist with friends, Must stay again.

I really liked the location, however, I feel the Resort can use some updates. Our room smelled terrible, like rotten eggs smell. We had to open the patio door, which didn't help much. The air conditioner was extremely loud & woke me up throughout the night. The carpeting is in need of replacement & didn't care for the sink right out in the open. I feel it was overpriced for the accommodations. Nice to have the kayaks, but the water is not a beach to swim in for little kids. Deep & slimy.

Our family held our reunion at Sunset Bay. There were about 30 people over a four day period. The entire hotel staff effectively handled every request. The whole experience was great. The walk-out rooms to the beach were perfect. Free access to BBQ grills, kayaks, rowboats, volleyball and more made for an extremely pleasant environment. We also used the tot splash pool, indoor pool with slides, the jacuzzi and the outdoor pool. We also spent time grilling at the beach. Thanks to Bill and also to the front desk staff and to the maid and laundry staff who were superb,

Our room was ready when we arrived and each day was cleaned, beds made and new towels supplied. Our shower head was broken. We told front desk and the maintenance man fixed it immediately! Had a room facing the lake. We were a little disapointed that our view of lake was blocked by trees. Suggested the staff let future guests know that before booking the room. We weren't in our room too much, so it wasn't really a big deal. The indoor pool was cloudy. Outdoor pool not real clean, but many trees around did cause some of that problem. The leaves couldn't be helped. Was right on the lake and swimming and boating were included (row boating). Fishing was also an option if desired. All staff seemed helpful and friendly. In the front desk area from open to close, there was always complimentary coffee for guests. The hotel is not on a main road through the Dells, but is easily accessible and not far from all of the big attractions. Over all it was an OK experience.

Nice hotel in a nice neighborhood. Easy drive to Wisconsin Dells attractions. Kids loved the indoor pool slide and enjoyed kayaking on the lake. Great stay!

We loved everything about it! The only issue was they didn't have a soda machine anywhere, and my mom was desperate for a coke so we had to go find a gas station. There is so much to do at the hotel we could've stayed there the whole time instead of going anywhere else!

When we first entered the room, we were hit by a very strong deodorizer. We opened the sliding door to air it out, and then found the plug-in deodorizer that was causing the smell. We called the front desk, and their response was to air out the room. I set the plug-in outside. The next smell was cat urine which is why they had the plug in. We endured the stay because we had paid in advance. The place needs updated as well. We had to drive to the attractions, and the snack bar was all they had to offer for food.

never got maid service had to take our garbage to front desk staff & ask for clean towels. 10 am is really early check out 11 am would be better. Staff super friendly. Liked that we could swim as late as we wanted. Loved the Kayaks & outdoor grills. Kids had a great time.

The amenitys were what attrected us to this hotel and we wernt disaponted. we all loved the beach and campfire and grilling area and the pool was so much fun. The noise level is very low at this hotel.

The staff was great and very friendly (mother/daughter). You're close to everything ($8-$10 cab ride). We stayed one night because of a concert at Crystal Grand Theatre (right up the road). The decor was a little out-dated but clean. The pillows and beds were awesome. The hallways smelled like a vitamin, not joking. Open up a bottle of vitamins and take a big whiff, that's what the halls smelled like but it wasn't so overpowering that we had to leave. You get used to it within 5-10 minutes. This may change later in the season because they have more guests in the summer. all and all it was a nice/pleasant stay. nice view of the lake from our window. Would stay there again.

this was my second stay at sunset bay. i love that it is walking distance to the river's edge resort, a fabulous restaurant and tavern. i also like the small pool and whirlpool just right for a predinner swim or before bed relaxation. generally, there were only 2 (supervised) kids in the pool at a time.

We were looking for a dog-friendly hotel to stay for 4 nights of our 10 years old son Spring Vacation. We found this hotel, and that was a blessing. It was clean, smelled fresh in spite of dogs welcome policy; the swimming pool area was clean and fun to be with. They have a beach with kayaks and raw boats to use - that was fun, too. On the beach they have ping-pong table, children playground, fire pit - very well built one, beach volleyball net, and lots more free outdoor activities. The dogs are allowed in only one small wing of the hotel, the rest of it - three buildings, are pet free. They have a small cottage on the property, that can be rented as well for $150 a night - excellent for a big family with the dog. They have free coffee and tea station in the office, besides coffee makers in each room. The location is something to wish for, on the waterfront of Lake Delton, and surrounded by quiet woody resorts. Very peaceful. Although this hotel is not in downtown of Wis. Dells, still everything is within 2-3 miles. It is a small clean hotel that is managed very nicely. The staff if friendly and helpful. The only my wish was - that they would have a gym or a treadmill for workouts. So we are the family of three, were very happy with this stay, and are planning to come back this summer! Oh, one more thing that we didn't like: they do not lock all the doors for the night. They lock only front door and pool door, while three side doors stay opened through the night. Knowing that my room door was right next to the side door that was unlocked all night, made me extremely uncomfortable. They can install card key locks, and let people who stay in the hotel, use them to enter the building.

We were very pleased about everything related to this resort. The room was comfortable, the balcony was an added plus, and the view of the lake was astounding.

We arrived 6:30 PM the room was in the lower part of the building my wife felt uncomfortable in this lower unit I ask to be upgraded to another level the clerk was very courteous and she would do anything to honor our request She moved us to the first floor and she said their wouldn,t be any extra charges great customer service

we were there in Feb for a late Valentines Day get away. the hotel gave free passes to the indoor theme park at Kalahari. we thought it was great fun but glad to travel a short distance back to our quiet hotel on the water. we rented the jacuzzi room and found it to be very quiet and relaxing. they even included a bottle of champagne and small box of chocolates which we felt was a very special plus to this very attatractive room.

Clean and comfortable...used as a place to sleep as I was in town for a convention....

We went in February and price was good, placement was within a short distance from what we were there for, easy to find once we found it (mapquest has it a little off) and QUIET. All I heard was the refrigerator and heat kicking on and off. Beds were comfortable, pillows I wanted to take home and everything is clean. Cute pool too. Bring your suit!

our overnight get away at this off the beaten path resort city hotel was less than optimal. The few services the hotel did offer, a snack and arcade room were closed for the season, the vendor machine snacks had long since expired and I don't remember the last hotel I stayed in that didn't at least have a treadmill- odd. I expect this is a nice place during the summer, the view of the lake was beautiful but I wouldn't go in the off season

Our off season stay was just what we wanted. Clean, comfortable and quiet.

The personnel at Baker's Sunset Bay Resort were exceptionnally friendly & helpful. Would definitely stay at this resort again.

My wife & I went on a getaway here and had a very enjoyable time. We went Oct 22-24 so it was quiet. We enjoyed walking downtown. Also, we were able to go to Kalahari amusement area. We will definitely be back again!!

Sunset Bay didn't impress us. We had a lakefront room, and the view was great. However, it took THREE room changes before we were given a room which had been cleaned. It took a long time to heat up the room to a reasonable temperature. The bathroom was dimly lit. The guestrooms are in need of updating. The indoor pool area was nice, but also showed signs of wear. Like many of the Wisconsin Dells hotels, it appears to be geared towards children and maintained in anticipation of destructive behavior.

Sunset Bay Resort has a great location on Lake Delton and is very close to the main Wisconsin Dells area. It also has easy access to Baraboo and sightseeing South of the Dells. We had two rooms right on the beach (2 Queen beds each, lakeside). Every room has a balcony or patio. The hotel staff are very friendly, make sure you are comfortable, and the entire property is very clean and well-kept. They have a nice indoor pool, whirlpool and sauna. We stayed there in late Sept, so the outdoor pool was not open, obviously - but it looks very nice! There is a dock and small boats available, a volleyball net, and many charcoal grills for making your own dinner. Our rooms included a refrigerator and microwave. We loved the quiet location but still being so close to everything else.

The location of this hotel is excellent, right on the lake. There are many fun activities to do at the hotel as well- and a nice snack bar. We received all kinds of coupons and free tickets to Kalahari indoor theme park at check-in. This was a great added bonus. The swimming pools at the hotel are very nice, as well. Overall - great value at a reasonable price!

Although my trip was for business purposes, I would stay here again for a vacation or a romantic getaway. This location is in a more "residential" area away from the strip. (While walking around, I saw 3 deer in the immediate area!) Hotel is right on the lake & has access with a beach area. There is both an outdoor pool with great seating & a children's wading pool, There's also an indoor pool, as well as a communal jacuzzi. By the water, there is a wonderful fire pit. The property is well maintained by the staff, and there is night security to ensure safety & a quiet stay. This is a family-owned location, so you get more personal, casual attention. During the summer, I'm sure this place is packed. The owner told me they have guests in the winter that take advantage of skiing nearby My room was nice for the little time I spent in it. The bed was comfortable. There is a small microwave & fridge in the room. The TV was outdated. Bathroom was clean with plenty of fluffy towels. I appreciated the fact that the sink was in the main room with plenty of counter space. There was also 2 chairs & a small table in the room, and a personal seating area right outside. When making a reservation, ask for a room overlooking the lake. There's a 24 hour Super Walmart within 5 miles for food & other forgotten things. Various attractions are close enough, though not within walking distance. The resort has a small eatery with arcade games & simple food (brats, nachos, soda).

This is the best value in the Dells. Price is right, location is awesome and there is a ton of stuff to do onsite. The rooms are'nt flashy, but they are comfy and clean. Shower water pressure is great. Plus every room has a patio. The staff is really nice and facility is very well maintained. I really enjoyed the boating, bonfire, indoor/outdoor pool, whirlpool, FREE theme park tickets, private beach, etc. All included in the price of my stay. Great value if you really want to enjoy the Dells on a budget. And fantastic for families and pets are welcome, too!!

This hotel was very accesible close to major restaurants, amusements parks and the highway but not too close where it gets noisy and crowded. It was just my mother and myself travelling without any kids so we were concerened that there may be nothing for us to do but this hotel had a lot to offer. They had a private beach with row boats which were free for the hotel guests to use. They had a golf course close by where they give you a discounted rate. They also offered free passes to the nearby Kalahari indoor amusement park and had 3 pools within their facility so if you are travelling with kids they will never run out of things to do. The rooms were clean and roomy with a microwave and fridge which became very handy fo us. Their towels were very fluffy and comfortable and the showers looked brand new. I've noticed their maintenance staff were always working hard to keep their place a nice and comfortable place for the guests. At dust they have security officers patrolling the resort that will make the guests feel very safe. It was well worth the price I paid. I would definentaly recommend Sunset Bay Resort to other travellers.
