Overall very pleased with the hotel it is a little dated but extremely clean and the staff are very happy to help. The room's are a little on the small side but in saying that we had twin beds which do take up extra room. I would recommend this hotel and I would say it is good value for the money, very affordable especially due to its location. This hotel would not be appropriate for people wanting to spend time in their room or by the pool.

Pros: Great location, adequate if not looking for anything fancy, nice vibe/feeling while staying there, place is pretty clean. Cons: Older hotel so most of it shows wear (carpets, beds etc.), lobby bathrooms not great, air conditioners are a little noisy, though none of that is too bad, rooms are small and not the best views unless you get a suite, sort of indifferent staff, though helpful if engaged, $20 a night extra for parking, which is basically mandatory if you have a car. All in all I wouldn't mind staying there again since I'm a pretty no-frills type traveler.

tWaikiki Resort Hotel : we asked for a partial view of the ocean, which we got it was a great view, room was serviced every day,we had an IPad with us so couldnt get internet in our room, receptionist told us to get free wifi on the lobby which was good. the beach was only one block away (2 buildings) about a 2 minute walk. We would definately stay there again .

Great location for a short stay in Honolulu. Clean and comfortable for a basic stay. The whole idea is to be out and about. I wanted a clean and safe place to sleep... this is perfect for that.

This hotel is located in the heart of busy Waikiki bufeels like it is more a bouique hotel as there was no hustle. The staff were deloghtful to deal with and I wouls highly recommend to my friends and travel agent. The booking made through your office was professional, easy and pain free!! The location was 2 blocks from the beach. I had a view from my window of diamond head from the left and the ocean on my right. Room was spacious and clean. Fast check-in.

We usually spend an overnite at the airport, but this time the hotels there were filled due to a marathon. Lucky for us, as we learned of the Waikiki Resort Hotel on line. It was excellent in every way, clean, nicely furnished, comfortable beds, very friendly staff, couldn't be better. Moreover, you could not beat the price. We would highly recommend it. Only problem for us was that the Roberts bus had quit shuttling to Waikiki and we had to take the very, very expensive shuttle.

It is near the beach, except that, it can only be treated as a 3 star hotel. Services were only bearable.

My stay was pretty good but have to pay for TV and Phone which was a little odd. Other than that if you need a place to sleep and stay this would be good.

Staff is very nice and helpful, rooms are clean, the hotel is well maintained, and the location is excellent. Most guests are Koreans, which is just an observation, not an issue. However, air condition in the room is very noisy, and it does not help to open the balcony door because the street is noisier still (even on 11th floor). Also, I would have liked to have better pillows (they are pieces of sponge).

We visit Hawaii often and know the area and hotel options fairly well. We just stayed for eight nights October 8 - 16 with our 19 month old so we were in the room quite a bit during nap time. The staff provided a nice crib that we were able to put in the entry way so baby had a little quite area of his own. The room has a small frig perfect for milk, snacks and sandwich stuff. The room is not extravagant, but had a balcony, a huge flat screen and large king bed that was comfortable enough. Plenty of good water pressure and hot water. The location is a two minute walk to the kiddie beach and zoo, which was perfect for us and a 15 minute walk to Eggs & Things (a must eat while in Waikiki). I travel regularly for work and found this place to be a great value and would definitely book it again. We had local family that visited us and the daily parking rate was really reasonable. This is hte third time I have stayed at this hotel. I am a local and use this hotel for a getaway location on weekends. It is just two blocks from Waikiki beach and a short walk to the shopping and restaurant areas. Hotel staff is always friendly and helpful and th check-in process is usually very orderly and quick, but then I always prepay on-line. Parking is a little tight, which is typical of Hawaii as all parking spots seem to be designed for motorcycles or small Japanese cars. There is a coin-operated laundry in the garage. Room was very hot when we arrived because the AC was off, but after turning it way down and going out to dinner, it was comfortable upon our return. Bed was very comfortable and the hotel is surprisingly quiet given its proximity to the beach. We had a view of the beach and the ocean from the lanai, although it would be nice if the lanai was a bit more private. Each room's lanai is almost touching that of the adjacent room and they look directly across into the rooms in another hotel across the street, so you cannot leave your windows or drapes open.

We stayed at the Waikiki Resort Hotel for 12 nights in July 2011. The hotel is well located, one block from the beach and the main street of Waikiki, also close to bus and trolley stops, shopping and restaurants. The Hotel is a bit tired but is clean and tidy and suited our needs (somewhere to sleep and get clean). We were on the 17th floor. There was a bit of street noise and noise from nearby concerts over the weekends, but given the location that was to be expected. The rooms were reasonably soundproof apart from the occasional late night reveller returning to their room. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is a pay laundry in the basement - handy for longer stays. There is also a pool on the 2nd floor which is big enough to paddle around and cool off after a hard days sightseeing. I would happily stay there again.

Walking distance to the beach, free WIFI in lobby, comfortable rooms and low price compared to other more luxurious hotels.

Our stay at this hotel was enjoyable, close to the beach and nightlife around was great. Hotel was always clean and service was good.

Yes the decor of the hotel is dated as with most hotels in Waikiki. The location is right in the heart of the action with the beach and all shops 30 seconds from your front door. If you want a luxurious holiday this is not the hotel for you but if you want something clean and comfortable this ticks all the boxes. Room was clean and hotel staff were helpful, what more could i ask for.

Stayed here in June 2011. Tired hotel, 30 years past its prime. Staff are obviously discontent with being part of the Waikiki tourism machine. One receptionist made it very clear she didn't think much of her managers...interesting approach to customer service! Overpriced for the area. Definitely would not go back to this hotel.

Booked this hotel online even though not familar with name. What a GEM this was - reception desk personnel were knowledgeable and very friendly, room was quiet and clean - had a great view of Waikiki. Check in and check out went very well, decor was great. Only miinor complaint was from grandson who slept on sofa bed - a little uncomfortable. Over all we were extremely pleased with hotel and personnel - we wish we would have booked this hotel for return night (one) after disembarking ship. We would recommend this to family and friends and would definitely stay here again if ever in Waikiki.

The Hotel is very central to all the Waikiki venues & the beach is only a 5 minute walk. Rooms are quite spacious & bathroom a good size. The plumbing is quite noisy though! Parking is provided at a Hotel for a fee but it is easy to access. Rooms are a bit noisy at times - especially with guests coming & going through the night - the doors make a lot of noise when closing! We were at the Hotel during the recent Tsunami warning & apart from being told to stay in our room & watch the TV reports we found the staff lacking is their advice to tourists of the disaster procedures - more information would have been appreciated!

Good location. Hotel and rooms are dated. Took us three nights to find the outlet in the bathroom to plug in the hair dryer (above the sink by the air vent - yeah, seriously). Carpet looked iffy. Service folks were nice as was the Korean restaurant in the hotel. Stay here if you want to be close to the Waikiki action, get a good rate and don't plan to spend much time in your room.

When I made the reservation I had no big expectations. I previously stayed in one cheap hotel in Honolulu and it was terrible. This one (though not much more expensive seemed to have good reviews). I have to admit that I am positively surprised. The rooms were clean, spacious and nicely furnished. There is a parking fee $18/day but other than that we did not encounter any extra charges. The location is convenient just one block away from the beach. Obviously there are restaurants and shops everywhere around. You basically get the "resort" kind of service for a fraction of the price. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staffs are friendly and helpful. The hotel is nice and clean. It's closed to everything around Waikiki, such as the zoo, bus routes, beaches.

No ventilation in the bathroom, and the construction going on very annoying.

Checked in and loved the place straight away. Had a great room with awesome views of Waikiki Beach. The hotel is only minutes from from the beach and central to everything. Breakfasts were also very good whick was included in the price. Hopefully, I'll be back.

a friend and i stayed here for the two nights we were in Oahu. got a great deal on a room-- could see part of Waikiki beach from our room! we are a block away from the beach, and lots of shopping nearby.

Stayed in September 2010 five days with son and baby...Very close to the beach and McDonald's on the corner .Has been updated recently and was sufficient and worth the price we paid.Staff very nice and helpful,what more do you want ...recommended .

The hotel is in a very good location for walking around to the shopping areas and the restraunts. The staff was extremely curtious and helpful. I would recommend this hotel and will stay there again.

The hotel is one block off the beach and is easy walking distance to everything Waikiki. Room was fairly clean and quiet. Overall a very good value.

We were there for only the one night waiting for our flight. We caught one of the airport shuttle services for $15 each round trip which work well. The room was ok, but it was a bit noisy with the street traffic (we were on the 14th floor), and the occasional doors slaming through the night and early morning hours. I wouldn't plan this as a long stop visiting the area. The check-in staff were very helpful, and we used the bell service to lockup & hold our bags after check out while we shopped in Waikiki until we needed to get back to the airport.

Ignore any negative reviews. I can't imagine any reason for them. Our stay was the best. Our room was clean, well lit, and well maintained. The bed and pillows are never as good as home, but were more comfy than any hotel we've stayed at for many years. Being just one block off Waikiki Beach, the location was great. Not only the beach, but lots of shopping was within walking distance. It seemed that there were restaurants of all kinds within a few block radius. I have to admit that we were disappointed in the food quality and price of the restaurants in the area. But that was our only disappointment. The concierge recommended a good variety of tours. Of which we took 2, and were extremly pleased with them. Not only that but the pick up spots for the tours were just accross the street. Don't miss this gem of a hotel. It's unbeatable, at any price.

This large hotel provided a pleasent room. They have a very good breakfast buffett.
