Boat Hotel De Barge - بروجيه

This really is an old barge refit as a hotel. The rooms (cabins) are small - but very tidy and well maintained. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Location is not right in the hear of the city. City center is a very pleasant walk - about 20 min to a half hour. Easy walk to the train station. There are no restaurants nearby (at least 15 min walk into the town. The restaurant at the hotel is open only on weekends and is very good - though maybe a little high-end if you are on a budget. Cozy little bar.

The hotel is a VERY short walk from Brugge historic area, on a quiet canal. The hotel & staff are delightful - what can beat waking up to ducks floating outside of your double opening windows, or while you're having a full northern European breakfast ? Room was larger than we expected, very updated bathroom, just a wonderful quiet, restful stay. We were surprised what a short walk it was to not only the center & market, but major museums & brewery tour. Would definitely stay again - and certainly return to Brugge!

Just a spot on choice and great value for money.

My wife & I really liked this hotel its just a pity that the staff/management doesn't! We had our initial room changed due to a faulty TV but that was only after a couple of attempts to find staff to complain to & also for him to 'fix' it. I say it like this because despite me telling him what the problem was, he insisted I was wrong then bungled about trying his own method before grudgingly offering a another room. The TV wasn't a big issue but the way he dealt with it seemed so! The decor is nice and probably would benefit from a little maintenance to help things stay where they should. Our REPLACEMENT room had a shower that wouldn't stay upright & the door was so loose it allowed the water to run right out onto the wooden floors. The breakfasts are great though. Unfortunately there are signs around the boat telling you of the great meals you can have but you can only dine at the weekends according to the guest information folder. The hotel's location is ideal for being away from the busy city centre but close enough to easily walk there. If the business had a more attention to service & maintenance then the hotel could be really amazing. The local ducks come past your window & potter about while you have breakfast!

hotel on the canal, which was very romantic. made up for the fact that we were a 15-20 min walk from the town centre. lodgings were great for the price. everything worked well and was clean. internet access was fast.only problem was that we were short on pillows. only found more pillows the next morning. well recommended.

Wonderful location, right on the river. You get a cool breeze off the water during the night. It is a just a short, but beautiful walk, through some of the city gardens into Brugge.

Our favorite stay...great hosts...great food....clever bar....barges gliding slowly by.. right outside the windows.......ducks gathering outside the restaurant windows...very close to train station...you do not even have to cross a major street to get to the barge. Not airconditioned, but cool enough for sleeping....a wonderful get away from the normal stay. Rooms are small but areas for lounging both inside and outside more than made up for that....think cabin on cruise liner....great memories...would go back in a heartbeat.

Nice clean & friendly hotel. with free parking, 15-20 minute walk to center of Bruges. The first part is through Minnewater park, which is pleasant & well maintained. Beds were very comfortable, good shower. Buffet breakfast was excellent with so much choice of hot&cold food&drink. Too much to list ! Minus point - No complimentary tea&coffee making facilities in the room.

Very impressed with the hotel. After reading some reviews before travelling we were concerned with comfort and room sizes but on arrival were pleasantly surprised. Our room was more than adequate in size, nicely decorated with nice en-suite facilities. The room was warm and cosy with adjustable heating. The buffet breakfast offered a good choice of foods. Location wise the hotel is on the outskirts of the city centre but only a short stroll through minnewater park to all the main attractions. It was nice to return to a hotel in a quiet area after a day of sightseeing. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel De Barge and would recommend it.

One of the best hotels i have stayed in, just awesome!

Personal greeting when I arrived on my own at 21.30 on Wednesday evening, with a beer and a meal organised just after I had arrived, having chosen something from the menu when I arrived (dining alone), which was a nice touch after a 7 1/2 hour drive from Stuttgart that day. Nautical theme continues throughout, with lifejackets provided in the rooms on the bed, more as a design touch rather than a safety feature (although perhaps legally necessary nonetheless)! A large barge, with rooms ample room, with a fairly small bathroom, but not too small. I could have stayed (or a couple) for a week easily, but was just on my way home from Germany, so took in Brugges the next day before I drove to Calais for the tunnel. An easy 20 minute walk in to the town market square through a park and some historic streets was also very pleasant, so can leave the car parked at the free hotel parking for the day. Hotel had free wifi, best on the hotel stairway, near reception and landing area, but also did work in my room (no. 23), just off the main staircase upstairs. All in all, very good.

Interesting barge- hotel. Old. Pretty far outside town. Shares parking with local park. Our room had a nice nautical motif, but smelled a lot like the ducks that swam past our port hole. Room was ratty. Bathroom clean. Staff knocks off at 2000. They were very helful when we asked to leave our bags for the day after we checked out.

The Hotel located on the Canal was far enough out of town for peace and quiet but close enough for a 10 - 15 minute walk to the centre of town. The staff were very welcoming, especially the restaurant staff. The food was very good. The Hotel made our holiday. Will definately go again.

Best part of stay was the included breakfast!!! It is an easy walk into the heart of the city. Location is quiet. Could have used air conditioning or at least, a fan in the room. Overall, we were quite pleased!

Excellent accommodation. The location of this hotel is great, 5 minutes walk from the staion and only 10 minutes walk into the centre. The barge is quaint which added to our holiday experience, it was comfortable, very clean and far better standard than we expected. The rooms are not big but the quaintness made up for this. Breakfast is excellent with a large choice of items and the food in the restaurant in the evening is also very good. We loved staying here and had no complaints at all, can't wait to go back.

The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk to town, we enjoyed the peaceful walk, and getting away from all the other tourists and traffic. The room was small, but expected that on a "boat" There was a screen for the window and a fan if the room was stuffy. The breakfast was awesome, and very fresh. The reception staff was helpful and friendly. Plus- free parking, wi-fi and breakfast. Neg- double bed was 2 twin mattresses, with a lump in middle, comfy if you stayed to one side or the other.

On the canal on the outskirts of town, about 15 minute walk from the Markt. Room was comfortable but small. We stayed two nights. The first day the room was very hot, so we had to open the windows and use the small fan to eventually cool down the room. Second night was much more comfortable as the day was more overcast and cooler. Service was excellent. Breakfast was very good. We rented bikes from the owner which made getting around very easy. We'd stay there again. Good value for the price.

My husband and I stayed as a couple (no kids this time!) in this hotel for one night. I chose it because of the unique idea, free parking, breakfast, and the in-house restaurant. We loved the room and its decor. Yes it is smaller than a regular room, but the room is well planned with lots of shelving and quality finishes. Free water in room. Beautiful 10 minute walk to downtown via a map provided by front desk. Restaurant was FAB-U-LOUS. Lobster bisque was superb.

Si la première nuitée et la découverte d'une nuit sur l'eau est amusante, de nombreux défauts viennent réduire l'intérêt de ce lieu. Cloisons très fines, nous avons profité des conversations de nos voisins jusque 3h du matin. Placé dans une des chambres côté berge, vue sur le parking bus... Flexible de douche qui fuit, demi-couettes peu pratiques en lit double, télévision mal orientée offrant un contraste ne permettant pas de discerner le noir du blanc... Bref dommage pour une prestation de ce tarif.

Hotel sympathique, trés bon petit déjeuner et copieux. Vraiment bon emplacement pour toute visite au départ et de Brugges: vous n'avez qu'un petit pont à traverser ainsi qu'un petit jolie parc et vous arrivez aux premiers restaurants, magasins et caléches, c'est à dire dix minutes en marchant tranquillement. Les chambres sont décorées en bois et façon marine, d'un bon effet et bien entretenues. Personnel souriant et aimable parlant français à l'acceuil, parking gratuit trés important sur Brugges.

We hebben het enorm naar ons zin gehad. Leuke kamers, leuke ligging. Het is goed te lopen naar het centrum. Wel was het een beetje jammer dat we 's avonds niet meer aan de tafels mochten zitten in het hotel. We moesten aan de bar of in de rookruimte gaan zitten. Het was helaas iets te koud om op het terras te zitten.

Schon der Empfang im Hotelboot war herzlich und zuvorkommend. Das Einchecken ging schnell, das Zimmer war vorbereitet, ausreichend groß und sauber. Das Bad ebenfalls, die Unterbringung ließ keinen Wunsch offen. Die Küche im Hotelboot war ausgezeichnet, der Service jederzeit zur Stelle, hilfsbereit und freundlich. Wir kommen gern wieder.

bon accueil , resto excellent mais un peu cher , environnement quelconque , type autoroute face au parking car et camping car , mais nénamoins très calme, à 7- 10mns à pied des premiers canaux et environ 15-20mns de la grande place.lits jumeaux collés, 2 couettes qui se chevauchent pas top , literie confortable.

Gute Ambiente : ein Schiff als Hotel. Gutes Frühstück, Sehr zentrale Lage. Nur muss man beim Personal an der Rezeption beeser seine Buchsbelege dabei haben, ansonsten möchte man noch etwas extra kassieren.

Das Hotel liegt in Zentrumsnähe, etwa 10 Minuten zu Fuß bis zum zentralen Platz. In der Nähe gibt es einige Restaurants und Kneipen/Bars. Es liegt ebenfalls in Laufreichweite zum Bahnhof von Brügge, Parken direkt am Hotel ist möglich. Die Umgehungsstraße in der Nähe ist hörbar, aber stört nicht weiter, v.a. nachts nicht. Bauartbedingt (Hausboot) sind die Wände nicht besonders schalldicht, man hört schonmal Stimmen und den Fernseher aus dem Nachbarzimmer. Aber die besondere Atmosphäre wiegt das auf. Besonders schön: als Osterpräsent gab es auf den Zimmern ein kleines Osternest mit toller Belgischer Schokolade. Frühstück ist nicht unbedingt besonders reichhaltig, aber für jeden ist etwas dabei und die Qualität ist in Ordnung. Fazit: eine Empfehlung für alle, die etwas Außergewöhnliches suchen und keine Luxusherberge brauchen

Ville magnifique pour des amoureux hôtel super première expérience sur une péniche je conseille à tous le seule b mol le temps n'était pas au rendez vs met très bon weekend

Préférez une chambre du dessus. Si le lounge était non fumeur ce serait mieux. Excellente cuisine, notamment le homard délicieux et pêché sous nos yeux dans l'aquarium.

Cet hôtel est situé à 10 minutes à pied de la gare et du centre historique. Il dispose également d'un parking gratuit. Petit-déjeuner copieux et varié. Calme et repos assuré.

nette kamer, héél goed bed, voldoende keuze aan 't ontbijtbuffet, komen zeker nog eens terug, groetjes

Wir haben uns bei Ihnen wohlgefühlt. Die Lage zwischen Bahnhof und der Stadt war optimal. Auch für den Start mit dem Schiff "Fluvius" ist Ihr Hotelschiff äußerst günstig gelegen. Wir hatten keine Beanstandugen und können das Boathotel De Barge uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Bådhotellet er charmerende og hyggeligt. Personalet er meget hjælpsomt og venligt. Beliggenheden i forhold til Brügges centrum er perfekt. Går man gennem parken, der ligger tæt ved hotellet, tager det 10 - 15 minutter at nå til centrum - på cykel 5 minutter. Vi spiste på båden den første aften, og var begge tilfredse med maden.

Petit déjeuner très correct mais à prendre absolument avant 10 h , les chambres mal insonorisées et Il faut garder la clef très encombrante avec soi . A part cela , le canal est très calme et on a une vue superbe ;

Tres agreablement surpris par cet hotel sur une péniche, chambre cabine tres confortable, décoration extra, lit super , personnel tres sympa, petit déjeuner succulent...Prix tout à fait raisonnable, we de rêve proche du centre ville , pas besoin de prendre la voiture pour se promener

The service of the hotel apart from the lack, maybe incidental, of hot water in the shower. But the motivation for repairing was really late

Sympa de dormir dans la cabine petite mais confortable d'un vrai bateau sur l'eau. Petit déjeuner très complet et copieux,(juste un bémol pour les petits pains aux raisins pas frais), sinon très bon. Juste 15 petites minutes pour se rendre à pied au centre de Bruges et ainsi profiter du parking voiture gratuit. Un hôtel original pour un excellent rapport qualité-prix.

accueil tres chaleureux , cuisine excellente, endroit calme et ce qui est agreable c'est le salon pour fumeur car tres rare de trouver un endroit fumeur de nos jours un endroit ou je retournerai volontiers

ns avons passé 3 nuits dépaysantes à bord d'une péniche. chambre mais plutôt une cabine mais normale par contre les cloisons sont en feuille de papier de cigarettes et très SONORES on entend ttes les conversations de la cabine voisine. petit déjeuner parfait et complet. restauration à bord (diners) bon mais pas variée. accueil sympatique

Hôtel tout à fait correct au personnel serviable et cordial. Toutefois, s'il est proche de la gare et du béguinage, il est relativement loin du centre ville. Les chambres sont très petites et mal insonorisées.

Hôtel bien situé pour visiter Bruges à pied (1/4 heure du cente ville) , chambre propre et agréablement décorée avec tout le confort souhaité. Accueil sympathique , petit déjeuner copieux et complet. Hôtel que je recommande pour un séjour à Bruges.

Wer mal nicht 0815 übernachten will, ist hier genau richtig. Das Bootshotel ist wirklich originell und gemütlich ausgestattet, die Zimmer sehr schön mit guten Betten. Das Frühstück ist top! Sehr reichhaltig mit äusserst aufmerksamen Personal. Auch den Gratisparkplatz wussten wir zu schätzen. Einziger Negativpunkt: als gemütlichen Aufenthaltsraum hat es nur eine kleine Lounge, und diese gehört den Rauchern! Als Nichtraucher fühlt man sich da etwas benachteiligt... Ansonsten können wir diese Unterkunft nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen :-)

Un hôtel flottant amarré à 250m du béguinage c'est vraiment pratique pour visiter le centre de Bruges. Cabines spacieuses, équipement complet, petit déjeuner buffet copieux et bien garni, petit parking gratuit sur le quai. Le restaurant est fermé le dimanche.
