Hotel Bologna - بيزا

This is a great place to stay in Pisa, just across the river from the central area, but a very easy walk to everything worth seeing. In fact, the walk to and from this hotel are easily half of what there is to enjoy in Pisa. Plus, Hotel Bologna will get you started with a great breakfast included! The service was good, the location great, and the room nice and clean. The ONLY detraction I can think of is that if you are a 'connected' traveler, you can only have one device connected to your free WiFi at a time . . . but that's not much of a complaint considering you have FREE wifi in your room is it?

While the room was more or less comfortable, except that the airconditioning did not cool the room, the service was apalling. From the moment we arrived, we did not feel welcomed. The staff were brusque and unfriendly. Would not recommend this hotel.

Really nice Hotel in the centre of Pisa - less than 10 minute walk to most of the main sights, etc -- Leaning Tower, Station & Shops. Parking is an issue -- and the Hotel charge 10E a day to park - be careful !

hotel Bologna is a good hotel and comfortable even the room is just a little small for a single room. location wise for anyone who likes to walk around is best. shops of bakeries, cafe , groceries and shopping are by walking distance. pisa and other also can be reached by walking distance . well recommended hotel for anyone who wishes to say for pisa and the rest. i just love the hotel and will definite return to Hotel Bologna! thank you to Hotel.com!

We had just gone through the floods in Vernazza...been rescued off the mountain and evacuated on a boat. We we in need of good care and found it at Hotel Bologna. Thank you. Ps the breakfast is fantastic .

It was nice. A shower with strong current and stable temperature. I had had a nice shower. The room was small but beautifully decorated. The staff was extremely helpful but he expected a tip before he left my room. Free wi-fi. Perfect.

We stayed 3 days here and everything was just perfect. The rooms were clean and I can't say enough about the kitchen staff. They are friendly and willing to make a special caffe or other accomodation for you. Eugene was especially kind, friendly and professional in his job. They also have PC's in the lobby, if you need to check email or other tasks. They also will drive you to the airport or train station. This is a great hotel!

I was only at the hotel for one night, the night after I came in from the US. It was harder to find the hotel from the train station than I expected, since there are two very similar sounding streets (which is a pain when dragging a suitcase) but I eventually found it. Being a single I got a very unglamorous room by the carpark but it was clean and everything worked well. The hotel is a short pleasant stroll from the Arno River and the main sightseeing attractions such as the Leaning Tower. Breakfast is exceptionally varied and the dining room attractive. Hotel staff were polite. The hotel offers a free shuttle to the airport which is useful.

I had stayed at the NH Cavalieri in Pisa at the beginning of my trio to Italy, at that hotel the staff was downright rude and the rooms were not at all what the internet depicted. The Hotel Bolgna was a very pleasant and refreshing surprise (in a good way). The staff was super helpful and friendly, they have a free shuttle from the airport, free snacks, free wine tasting with more snacks at dinner time, free wi-fi, clean and well kept rooms. Great place to stay!!

A nice hotel in a good location. However the room we were allocated for our one night stay was the size of a shoe box and very dark. It made it quite unpleasant to be in the room. I don't know if this is typical of room size at the hotel but spoilt our enjoyment. Otherwise the hotel seemed very nice with very good service.

Its a lovely boutique hotel. The buffet breakfast is the best compared to other 4-start hotels. The room is small but extremely clean and fresh. The location is not closed to Termini but there is a free shuttle bus. Its not so closed to Leaning Tower but it is a pleasant troll to get there from the hotel.

This hotel has been well reviewed by other travellers and we agree with their opinions. It provides a high level of service, free shuttle to and from the airport, free cakes, free Tuscan nibbles in the early evening. The staff speak fluent English and are very helpful. The location is superb, in a quiet side street in the centre of Historic Pisa. It is only 15 minutes easy stroll to the Tower and Cathedral. In the other direction it is about 10 minutes to the main railway station from where there is a fast frequent service to Florence.

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel. We really liked that it had free cold water and cakes at the reception desk at all hours of the day as well as tea and coffee making facilities in the room, but as it was so hot we did not use this facility. Shuttle bus was great also. Only problem was they advertised being able to have breakfast in the outside courtyard but it was so far from the dining room it didn't make it practical to use for this purpose.

Booked a quad room on hotels.com for 2 adults and 2 young children. When we arrived they didn't have the room available so they upgraded us to a suite. Well, this turned out to be a newly renovated room with unbelievable amenities! Jetted tub with colored lights! Gorgeous fixtures, bubble bath foam, slippers, beautiful rain shower, two tv's, a/c, sound system, super comfy beds and crisp white sheets, monogrammed towels, etc. The kids (and I) had a blast in the tub! Yes we all fit! It was a night to remember. But that's not all, the service was great! Friendly staff, water and nice cakes at reception for you when you arrive. The breakfast next morning was quite the spread, the best we've had at a hotel. They shuttle you to the airport and let you check out later and hold your luggage if you have a later flight. It seemed like everything was no problem at all. The staff are so relaxed. My husband asked where to get water and they gave him a bottle just like that! When you check out they just ask you if you had anything from the minibar and go by the honor system. They don't run up and check like other hotels do. All the common areas smell really nice too, like baby powder or flowers or something. My kids were only sad when we had to leave, we would've all liked to stay longer!

Excellent hotel - friendly helpful staff, rooms a good size and comfortable. Breakfast - plenty of choice of cold meats, cheeses and breads. Good location - quiet and within easy walking distance of the main sites in Pisa. Only problem was some renovation work going on in a building over the road that caused some intrusive noise in the daytime.

We rang for the shuttle service on arrival, he was there in minutes. Our room was ground floor in the courtyard. Lovely and quiet, air conditioned and maid service daily. Continental breakfast served from 7am to 10.30 am which was fabulous. Staff all very helpful. I very nearly didn't book this hotel due to a poor review from some one else on your site, but they couldn't have stopped at the same place!

Very nice and clean. reception was very accommodating and warm. Rooms very well kept. Would recommend it highly.

This is a nice hotel with good services (e.g. shuttle to airport and station), near to the river and train station in an otherwise undistinguished neighborhood. Breakfast is more than adequate and the hotel is pleasantly decorated. Recommended.

We really enjoyed this hotel. It was nicely located between the train station and the Leaning Tower. The service was great, the bedroom was small but the bathroom was large and lovely. The linens were nice and the breakfast wasextensive and well done. The staff were very attentive, recommended a good restaurant and had a free shuttle to the train station. We did not use it as it was a 6 minute walk. I highly recommend.

This was a very nice quiet hotel conveniently located within walking distance of the leaning tower.

A perfect hotel for short visit to Pisa. The hotel is in a central location within walking distance of the railway station and the sights. The hotel provide a free airport transfer (only 10 mins. away). Although there is not an evening restaurant it is not a problem as a wide wide range of restaurants are close by. The breakfast provided at the hotel is excellent. The staff could not be more helpful. A very reasonably priced mini-bar is in the rooms with free mineral water. Tea and coffee making equipment is provided and fresh milk for this can be obtained from the bar. Comfortable. welcoming and perfect location with everything thought of including free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.

The hotel Bologna was excellent. They came and picked us up from the airport in their minibus and nothing was too much trouble for them. Very nice touches were the complimentary coffees and pastries all day and a selection of hams, cheeses, olives and other local delights in the early evening. Pisa is very small and hotel is only a short walk away from the leaning tower and other sites. Service at this hotel is definitely top notch. Breakfast were also excellent. I would strongly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for one night on the way to the Cinque Terre. Very impressed with the location and overall feel of the hotel. The bed was a bit hard for me but the shower pressure was great. About a 15 minute walk to the Tower, we were able to go see the tower after breakfast and be back before check out. Would definitely recommend to others.

Located two mins from the river. We took the hop-on-hop-off bus to see the city - tickets in the hotel. Lovely staff, smiling, friendly and helpful. Comfortable room with tea/coffee and individual AC unit - v warm at the mo in Pisa. Highly recommend this hotel.

The staff and accomodations could not have been nicer. From the complimentary water in the minin-bar to apcking breakfast to go bags for an early morning departure - they were so accomodating. And, the staff has the BEST restaurant recommendations. Highly recommend.

Everything about this hotel is top notch. The location is great, the staff is super friendly and helpful, there is a lift, and the breakfast is excellent. BUT....the walls are paper thin. I heard the ladies next to me wake up at 4 a.m., then a wake up call, then an alarm, then whispers. Thank goodness I had packed ear plugs. The next night on the other side, a family with kids and the dad liked to sing. I even felt uncomfortable using the facilities trying to be quiet. Otherwise it is really a great hotel and the free walking tour was well worth a visit. It made Pisa much more than just the leaning tower and a very enjoyable stopover for two nights.

After finding the Hotel (very hard to do), we were treated very well. Staff was helpful from the time we drove our rented car into their parking area, in fact parked the car for us because of the small spaces. We asked if someone could show us how to get to the airport early the next morning as we were afraid of getting lost again, and needed to be there by 8:00 am., someone drove the shuttle from the hotel and said for us to follow him. VERY NICE thing to do, of course we tipped him, but it was so reassuring to us as we had to drop off our car for the flight to London. Room was exceptional, even bath slippers for us. Breakfast was included and very good.

We spent 4 days in Pisa at Hotel Bologna and had a wonderful stay. The hotel is in a great location, 10min walk to train station, 5/10min walk to restuarants/shops etc. and 10/15min walk to Leaning Tower. Our triple room was of a good size, kept clean and had a great bathroom (lovely shower!). Buffet breakfast was plentiful with fab pastries, cakes and hot chocolate! Hotel staff were very helpful, directed us to a great pizza restaurant Le Scuderie (!?) where we had a metre long pizza and 2 beers for 20 euros - delicious! Fab icecream shop just over the bridge - La Bottega de Gelato - definitely recommend going there! During our 4 days we also took 2 day trips - to Florence & Lucca - both great, Lucca is a gorgeous little place. Our first trip to Italy will not be our last!

Stayed here December 23rd on a quick stop in Pisa. the hotel is great, clean, updated, and at an excellent price. It was about a 10 minute walk from the train station and then about 15 minutes to the leaning tower. There are restaurants and shops nearby within walking distance. The breakfast buffet was excellent. We don't have a single complaint for this hotel, it was one of the nicer ones we stayed at on our entire trip and was the cheapest. We would have enjoyed staying longer in Pisa but already had other plans. We would definitly go back.

Can't say enough good things about our experience at this hotel. Our expectations were met and often exceeded. The staff was especially helpful. Even though we arrived at 2am due to flight problems, the person at reception still was kind enough to serve us glasses of wine. Our room was clean and comfortable with all the expected amenities. Usually mini bars are a rip off with high prices, but we found the prices for items offered to be very fair and a good value. The hotel offers a lovely hot breakfast each morning and everything was delicious. As for the location, it is very good - a short walk to Pisa's shopping streets. We walked everywhere we wanted to go. The famous leaning tower of Pisa was maybe a 20-25 minute walk. The Pisa train station is also about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. We took the train for a day trip to Florence Italy which was very nice and only 6EUR per person each way. If you visit Pisa, we would also recommend taking the train to visit Florence. When we plan our next trip to Pisa Italy, we will definitely stay at Hotel Bologna again.

It was a nice stay at the Bologna Hotel for three days, the rooms are good, breakfast is what you expect. The only problem for me was the internet connection since i was there for work and needed to be connected.

The hotel is really close to the train station (just 5 minutes walking). Even if it is raining, at least half of the road is under some galleries. It is close to the historical center. The room is nice, clean and everything is freshly renovated and up-to-date, the staff is very welcoming and helpful! The internet connection is reliable. Recommend for a possible small workshops as well (they have all the facilities for it)

I was in Pisa for one night and this was perfect. Saturday night was bustling in town and this was located perfectly to walk everywhere! The staff was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very tasty - i loved the fresh tomatoes and mozzerella. What a way to dive into Italy! My room was small, but I didn't need much more. It was quiet and I felt safe. Would return there for sure!

Hotel is well located to station and key sights, with most things in Pisa being easy walking distance. Hotel room was a bit small but very clean and tidy. An excellent service overall. There is also a bus stop outside the hotel that takes you to the airport ever 15 minutes (10 minute journey).

Excellent location, close to everything in Pisa, only a 15 minute stroll to the leaning tower. Great shopping, bars & restaurants and very Italian. Eat in the less touristic spots & you will find great food & wine. The airport is so close to the city centre, its just a short bus or cab journey & the transport links to other cities are very good.
