Anchorage Inns And Suites - بورتسموث

We stayed one night at the Anchorage Inn on the way to Bar Harbor. The hotel was nothing special but convenient and clean. Reasonably priced compare to the others around and easy to get in and out of.

The pool and spa area were very clean and well maintained! Great hot tub for an affordable hotel. Staff were all friendly and readily answered any questions. Would definitely stay there again!

Updated outside, not inside. EVERYTHING creeks, the floors, beds even showers. Ok if staying only a night.

Tiny bathroom, sink and blowdryer in bedroom which made it hard for mixed early and late risers. Nice pool and hot tub area. Only processed type foods in the continental breakfast--fresh fruit would have been a nice addition (there was no fruit at all). Hallways were hot--no AC, but room was comfortable (temperature wise)

I needed something cheap and close to downtown Portsmouth. It was perfect, very clean and it had a pool. I would definitely recommend this hotel

Now it's not as nice as the downtown Portsmouth hotels, but at almost half the price, it's worth it. You pay 75 cents an hour to park downtown or a $20 round-trip cab ride if you are going out, so it more than offsets itself. It is only a five minute drive either way. You aren't going to Portsmouth to stay in your room, are you? The bed was comfortable, the breakfast was pretty good, just your typical Continental with cereal, toast, juice and coffee. One complaint from my girlfriend was that the sink was a little small to hold all her stuff while she got ready. In all fairness, she has a lot of stuff, and she set up the ironing board to counteract it anyway. The service was great - they had our room ready and clean when we arrived. They suggested a few local bars when I asked (Poco Diablo and Coat-of-Arms, both great for a 20's couple) In the end, you get what you pay for and then some, so take the money you save staying here and spend it on the good food and shops of Portsmouth.

The Anchorage Inn is clean, the hotel staff are friendly, and the location is incredibly convenient - a hop away from the highway and a hop and skip away from the downtown area. They have a basic continental breakfast (bagels, cereal, juice, coffee, muffins) and an indoor pool. We stayed on the lower level and there was sometimes a funny, musty smell but nothing bothersome, really.

This was a great deal. The hot tub and pool were worth the price alone, and I found the staff to be great as well.

we stayed here for 2 nights and couldn't have been happier. The indoor pool is just big enough and the hot tub was great. The rooms were nice and newer looking. beds were only doubles though. when we checked in Tom was very friendly. Breakfast was alright. had some cereal, muffins, coffee, juice. No waffle maker and no eggs/bacon though. We had stayed previously at the ramada in kittery, ME and payed more per night there and the hotel was on the verge of being a dump. Overall i wouldn't hesitate to stay at Anchorage Inn again.

Everyone was wonderful as usual. We stay at The Anchorage everytime we are in the area (our daughter goes to UNH) and have always found it remarkable. The staff is friendly and accomodating. Andria (I think thats her name is a wonderful person). We plan on staying as often as we are in the area and have already booked our room for graduation. Good Job Anchorage!!

We booked the hotel as a cheap one-night getaway from Boston (mostly to hit some Portsmouth restaurants...let's be honest) and got what what we expected plus a little bit more. There's nothing fancy here, but the rooms were extremely clean and comfortable, the facilities were nice, and the location was easy to get to. Pretty simple, but the place has a just a little more character and comfort than the low-end chains for the same price.

The Anchorage Inn is a locally owned and operated establishment, offering prime location, clean and comfortable rooms, competitive rates, and--best of all--friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. Excellent value. We'll stay here again.

Very happy with this hotel. The location couldn't be better, service was great, kids loved the pool, and the hotel was very clean. The only thing we noticed was the smell of the chlorine from the pool in the hallways. Very minor issue for us. We will stay there again.

Staff was polite and courtiuos, but the rooms were'nt even close to worth what I paid for one night, I could have got the same room somewhere else for a third of the price, I hate overpaying.

While the location was certainly easy to find, the overall quality was less than expected and misinformation regarding printing availability was disappointing. There was an odor of cleaning products over must but everything was clean and functional. If visiting the area for leisure would choose one of the downtown hotels to be able to walk to restaurants,shopping and historic sites.

This was our second stay here at the Anchorage. My children and I find this hotel very comfortable and enjoy the indoor pool and jacuzzi so very much! The continental breakfast is much appreciated. Yay coffee! The location is what draws us back. It is close to the Kittery Outlets, Wells and Hampton Beach to name a few. We will be back again!

Hotel rooms are really showing their age, and the room was dirty. The first room we were given smelled as if someone had gotten sick. This room appeared more up to date than the first one, but we didn't hang around to look at the decor very long. The second room had not smell, was run down, and was borderline dirty. Definitely not worth the money. I would have to think there are better options in this market.

nice clean hotel, OK staff. The rubber sheets on most of the beds are noisy and very uncomfortable. The towels are very thin and the complementry breakfast skimpy with tiny cups for the instant brew coffee.

We found that the hotel was better than expected. Easy location to get to. Close to great dining and the coast, of course. Hotel was well operated and clean. Could use update on matress, but it was O.K.. to sleep on. Overall it was a good experience.

This hotel has it all. It's a bit pricey, that's true. But I'd say it was well worth the money to be close to downtown. Easy access to all highway routes. Pleasant staff. Awesome hottub/pool, and great sauna in the workout room.

This hotel is very nice and a great value. Its not close to all the hussle and bussle so its super quiet. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and spacious.

The Anchorage Inn is a clean, comfortable no-frills Inn. However,one thing that makes it stand out from any hotel, including those with 5 star ratings, is the staff. They were the most kind, genuine , helpful people I have ever encountered in my many years of traveling. As an example, I was traveling with my daughter and 4 month old grandson. We called for room service at breakfast and were told that normally, it is not served but they would make arrangements to have breakfast sent to our room. Not only did they ask what we would like, but also gave suggestions, telling us what other options were available.This was so greatly appreciated I would recommend this inn to anyone. Also, the location is perfect-right off of the highway exit. This is a plus for someone who is directionally challenged, like myself. A great place to stay!

This hotel has very clean rooms. We know that it is renovated but the rooms are small but good enough. There's continental breakfast with bagels, toast and cereals, nothing big. I stayed in the lower floor. In the morning, I could hear the footsteps on the floor above me.

The staff was very accomodating for our kids, I was thrilled that the room had both a fridge and a microwave! The free passes to the tall ships and the fresh baked cookies were a nice perk as well. The pool area was nice, and it was surprisingly quiet for being completely booked. My only complaint would be the 4 long black hairs that we found in the shower (I'm hoping they belonged to the cleaning staff) and that the room was a bit dusty so that in the morning we all woke up a bit stuffy. If it's in your budget, skip the continental breakfast and go around the block to The Friendly Toast.....worth every penny!! For dinner, right across the rotary there's the Roundabout Diner which isn't bad if you enjoy typical greasy spoon fare, and it's worth the short commute if your kids hate car rides.

The Hotel is located close to all the great spots this area has to offer ,portmouth ,kittery and york , this hotel offered great service a comfortable room at a competitive price , the pool and hot tub was great plus and the contentail breakfast was nice to . the staff went above and beond to ensure we had anice stay ,I even forgot somthing in my room and they said the woud send it to me the very next day , looking forward to my future stay here at portsmouth anchorage Inn

Although we booked a king bed but got a double, the hotel was good. We didnt complain about the king bed so it was our own fault but the double beds are very small for 2 people...we wish we had switched at the beginning. Other than that, hotel was clean, pool and jacuzzi were nice though we didnt use them. Very good price for a pleasant stay.

We were so pleased with room! There was a refrigerator, large TV, comfortable bed, chairs and table; plenty of space. Bath tub with rain shower head and even a clothesline. We wished we'd known about pool. It was open till 11 so could have relaxed in hottub after evening event. The morning breakfast was very nice; lots of options, available in a bright sunny room with plenty of tables!

Very clean and modern, this hotel has an indoor pool, beautifully maintained, and the price was very low.

I have stayed at other hotel's in this area,and for the price and room comfort,I will be back.

We've been going here for years as it is very convenient to Portsmouth downtown and not far from the outlets. Their indoor pool is very nice, but I notice that the rooms are getting a little worn. Not the cheapest rates either.
