Hotel was clean, well maintained and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hot tub (with 2 little water falls) was delicious. Fresh Belgian waffles for breakfast . Only complaint was sound proofing - could hear people upstairs or in the hall from my room. But my stay was a good experience and great deal for the price.

Good hotel for the money. Very close to Portsmouth. The continental breakfast was small. The hot tub was nice.

I loved the Anchorage Inn and Suites! The people at the desk were so helpful, and courteous. I felt by the end of my stay they were like family. Whenever something was needed we were obliged. Great location as far as being close to town and Kittery. Not used to traffic noise as we live out in the country but that was to be expected so close to the highway. Thanks again staff!!

Room was not cleaned well. Pool and hot tub were closed which was the primary reason for booking at The Anchorage.

my wife and I stayed here when we went to the strawberry banke museum christmas candlellight walk. the price was right, the room was comfy and clean, and the service made sure that we got a no smoking room (booked online, sometimes preferences get switched). A quick in and out, but the continental breakfast was quite nice. Overall quite satisfied.

Cons - The hotel was outdated. I was up half the night because I could hear the people in the room next to us talking (not yelling) and I could hear the people above us walking around at 2am and taking a shower/bath. Then in the morning you can hear everyone in the hallway perfectly as the head for breakfast. Pros - The hotel is very convenient for the outlets and for the shopping center down the road. The breakfast was fairly decent.

Everything was very good. Reasonable price. I'd stay there again.

Have stayed here in the past. The staff is always courteous and helpful. Rooms and property are clean.

The Hotel was clean and well attended. It was a nice place to stay for the Thanksgiving Holiday. About a mile from town and very quiet and peaceful, and an excellent value for the area

this hotel had bugs crawling all over my room . i was there for 1 hour and had to check out.my wife was freaking out.

you get what yoiu pay for. it was a great price and we were basically there to shop. the only negative was that the hottub had way to much chlorine in it and immediately ruined my daughters bathing suit.

Good enough for a one night stay while on the road. Not quite as clean as it should be but comfortable. Breakfast was a joke. Lids for coffee cups did not fit making it impossible to bring a cup back to the room if you hadanything else. Food was edible at best.

Easiest motel to find that we ever visited. It's directly opposite the bottom of the exit ramp from I-95. Motel was clean, continentinental breakfast was excellent & available to 10 AM. Indoor pool & hot tub were in excellent condition, pleasantly decorated & open to 11 PM. Staff was very pleasant & accomodating. The only negative (for tourists) is the distance & complicated directions to go to & return from downtown. Thank heavens for GPS!

The Anchorage Inn on Woodbury is the perfect location. It is 5 minutes from Kittery and 5 minutes from several eating establishments. The Inn is an older Inn but quite well maintained with a small pool and a hot tub. They offer a continental breakfast (typical with eggs, waffles, muffins tea and coffee, bagels and toast) is a pleasant area off the lobby. I would stay here again and would recommend it as a value for your dollar accomidation

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Anchorage Inn, the room was bright, clean and roomy, I was even able to open the windows for some fresh air. The room was non-smoking and there wasn't even a hint of smoke anywhere in the hotel. The included breakfast was generous with waffles, bagels, muffins, toast and boiled eggs along with fresh fruit. The attendant kept the tables clean and made sure there was always enough food on the counter. I highly recommend this hotel to any traveller who is looking for a great bargain.

The staff was great..The rooms outlets did not work in bathroom,couldn't use hairdryer or make coffee. and reading lights did not work near the bed...hair was a mess all day. Ugh.

Reserved 3 nights non-smoking...they gave us 1 night non-smoking then had to move to a gross, smoking room. If that wasn't bad enough, the room had cock-roaches. Would not recommend this place.

Fine hotel, close to the sights, convenient access to the highway. Staff were helpful and friendly. Good rates and clean rooms. Good breakfast in the morning, although the crowds made it slightly difficult to access.

It served it´s purpose; was convenient for my friend to pick me up and take me home and was comfortable to sleep in. The breakfast was okay and the staff very nice.

We did a 1-night stay. We were in town on business and needed a place right off the highway and convenient to downtown Portsmouth. Very clean non-smoking room + refrigerator and microwave. Continental breakfast included; modest, but do-it-yourself waffle was quite good, dispenser coffee, cereal, fruit & muffins. Decent pool & jacuzzi and work out room. Older hotel, but maintained. Very cordial and helpful staff.

Nice, clean hotel close to the highway and Kittery Outlet. We even extended our stay one extra night due to these facts. Would be more nice with more extended selections of restaurants in the neighbourhood.

basic hotel. small rooms but clean & easy drive or long walk down town to shops. Friendly staff, decent breakfast and the pool area looked nice (but I did not go swimming)

Large room, clean, pretty close to downtown. Soft bed ( sagging ?) and pretty awful breakfast but what should I expect? Good front desk service.

The hotel was really, really noisy the night that I stayed there - and the hotel staff didn't seem to care at all. My room was across the hall from one of the lounges and people were congregating there, getting drunk and shouting, the entire night. I called the front desk a few times and told them that some of the other guests were being disruptive. Nothing happened. I didn't sleep at all. When I checked out the following morning, the front clerk asked me how my stay was. I told her that it had been really noisy and I hadn't been able to sleep. Her reply? "That's great." She wasn't even listening! I will never stay here again and I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody.

Right at Portsmouth circle, pool and hot tub bed was a little too hard Good value

I was nervous with all the reviews saying it's old and not kept up. It all looks brand new inside. Rooms are very clean, breakfast included is great, and staff are very helpful. Glad I went and would go back.

we stayed at the hotel last weekend on labour day we did not get a nonsmoking room as requested the stench was horrible, also there are no elevators in the hotel never going back there again.

close to freeway, and easy to get to. Seeme old and outdated, and overpriced for the small room and old carpet

I was staying at the Anchorage Inn and Suites for business. The location is the primary reason for choosing it. Located off I-95 and very close to Portsmouth, it was good from this standpoint. The staff was very friendly answering all questions I had. The overall hotel shows it's age, and I thought could use a bit of a renovation. The room was clean and a standard room, which sufficed for the night. It was a comfortable stay overall, and reasonably priced for a business trip.
