Hesperia Granada - غرناطة

Excellent location, just two blocks from the Cathedral (while in Europe, next to the cathedral is the best location). Clean room and bath. Good breakfast buffet. Only drawback (and a biggie) is that free wi-fi is only available in the lobby area, and it's slow. There is a pay-per-time computer station in the lobby.

This is your average 3 star hotel that is located in an excellent and convenient area. Expensive. The rooms are dark, making it hard to read even with the curtains wide open and all the lights on. The desk clerk was abrupt on checkout. We use a white sound generator to mask noise when we sleep, but this is the first hotel where it couldn't cover our neighbors normal level of conversation. The WiFi only operates in the lobby - and barely there. I was not able to upload a simple photo on their WiFi. Breakfast was good, but expensive. I recommend this hotel for its location, though.

In an excellent location and very friendly staff. The rooms were clean and shower had good water pressure.

very conveniently located but initially hard to find hotel, comfortable , friendly effecient and helpful staff, cheap room service and room bar, only real downside was having to pay 18 euro per night for car parking which i did not realise until well after booking, and not able to cancel reservation as you would incur full cost which Hotel.com would indicate is contrary to their booking policy

This hotel *is* hard to find the first time, but it's actually right in the heart of things. Its back street location means it's quiet. For comfort, I marked it down only because of the internet connection, which in the rooms is via a somewhat hard-to-find broadband jack (bring a long cable!). If I'd been traveling for leisure instead of business it would have been perfect fine. Even so, if traveling to Granada on business again, I'd choose the Hesperia.

Stayed here for two nights. Very comfortable and a perfect location for seeing the sights of Granada. Great food choices right outside. Walk to all major sights or take the minibus to the Alhambra, a block away. No wifi in the room was the only drawback. Some rooms face an inner lobby with windows that face in. We didn't have one of these and wouldn't want one. Helpful staff.

Lovely, traditional hotel in a perfect location. One of the best hotels of our stay in Spain. However, if driving, even with GPS, once in city center hire a taxi to lead the way to the hotel. We would have never driven across a plaza to find the street even after over an hour of searching.

Lovely little hotel and a great spot but unfortunately for us our room was very hot and we had trouble sleeping. We asked about air conditioning but they said it is off in winter...it is early Nov and not winter yet and outside temps have been low 20's...they had central heating on so too hot...also you can hear people in the next rooms and the WIFI is very very slow...no traffic noise though.

This is a great hotel in Granada for those looking to be on a budget but still have a non "cookie-cutter" looking hotel. I will say two small things about the hotel: 1) it's not the easiest to find so if you are driving into the city it may be best to park at a public lot and walk the rest of the way (not much difference in parking garage charges), and 2) the walls are pretty thin, so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper! Overall though, this is a great place to stay. Friendly staff, great location and free Wifi.

I love it when a hotel exceeds expectation, and this one is so pretty once inside you instantly fall in love. Step outside and you're only paces away from the heart of the action, with both the old town and the shopping areas two minutes away. Our room was also very pleasant, with everything you could expect and very nicely appointed. The view from our room wasn't up to much but we were only staying for a night and weren't there for the view from the inside of the room! I found the staff at reception very helpful and pleasant and like to hope you read this as a glowing review.

This was a clean and comfortable hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is fabulous, very central for bars, eating, shops, sights. 15 minute walk to the Alhambra. I would stay here again.

Central Granada is a maze of alleys and winding streets, it's part of its charm. This hotel is well located and close to everything that you'll want to get to but is quietly 'hidden' away off a small square. A small classic hotel with great staff at a reasonable price and with several small, tapas style restaurants nearby. Good breakfasts. Bilingual staff.

I am a cheap traveler and this was one of the cheapest Hotels in Granada but it was the best hotel I stayed in while I was on vacation in Spain and Italy. A great find!

Location was great. Price was amazing for what you get. Breakfast is expensive for most, but well worth it my opinion.

It was very great stay. Everything is good there and the hotel building is very beautiful. The only thing we had some trouble about was to find the hotel because it is very hidden on a small street, although it is very close to the main touristic sights. I can only recommend it!

This hotel was fabulous. We got a great rate thru hotels.com, and it was well worth it. Rooms clean and quiet, great sleeping. The internet was non-existant in the room, via wi-fi or cable, saw many guests in lobby using laptops, so guessing this was a common unpleasantness. Staff was helpful and pleasant, speaking english well. The breakfast buffet was great, fruit and hot foods, and many choices, it was at the time 15 euros.This was July 2011. I would suggest going down the road for a 5 euros breakfast at a tapas bar...but of you are in the mood for a more continental fare, it will please you! You must leave your card in the slot in room to have electricity, so I suggest getting at least two cards for the room, otherwise air conditioning takes some time to get going...but when it works, it is perfect. No stuffy hot room here.

Hotel Hesperia impressed me with their great value for money room rates and location at the City Centre. 2kms from the train station and about the same from the Great Alhambra Palace Museum, it was a visit worth mentioning and recommending to others A very good staff and atmosphere made our stay very good. The only thing to be improved would be a much better Internet connectivity...that too...in the rooms instead of the lobby, which also doesnt work that well.

We only stayed one night as we were en route home from a rural break but this was a beautiful little hotel right in the middle of the city. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the place itself was absolutely spotless. Thoroughly recommended as a base for exploring this wonderful city.

Nice clean hotel. The hotel is off some windy back streets. Several blocks to nearby areas with many places to eat and shop. It was about a 5 euro cab ride to the Alhambra. Easy walking distance to the cathedral and other parts of old Granada.

Person at the desk was almost always alone and rushing to answer everyone's questions, check guests in and out etc. They tried to be helpful but could only do so much when there were so many issues to attend to. Property is beautiful and in a great location.

This was an excellent choice. Spotless and stylish with lovely spacious and comfortable rooms. The Staff were very polite and friendly. Emailing was a bit expensive and slow but that is my only gripe. Excellent location slap bang in the centre of Granada. And fantastic value with Hotels.com, although it might be much dearer in high season. Highly recommended.

The Hesperia Granada was excellent in every respect. Our room was spotlessly clean, reasonable size and had a beautiful view over the rooftops of Granada towards the Alhambra. The staff were consistently helpful and polite and couldn't do an enough to assist. The location in a small square off one of the main roads was perfect. It meant it was peaceful and quiet and yet all the main tourist attractions were easily accessible. Breakfast wasn't included in our package but there was a buffet with a reasonable selection of food available, or the local cafes were a few minutes walk away if we chose to eat out. I would certainly recommend the Hesperia and look forward to staying there again in the near future.

this hotel is in very good location, yet it is on very quiet side street. i got room facing back and it was best night i had in my 2 weeks in Spain. Rooms are very nice. But i did not expect to find dirt in bathtab. This is 4 star hotel that should be cleaning bathrooms better

Very comfortable hotel with excellent service. Close to all the city sights and an easy bus ride from the Alhambra. Many good value bars and restaurants within walking distance. Perfect for our purpose.

Lovely hotel. Very good location in city center, convenient. Car parking cost about 20 Euros per night extra. Breakfast was expensive about 15 Euros per person. Staff was friendly but we had to take our luggage to the room ourselves, there was no porter.

Hotel is good but very difficult to reach with your own car.

The staff here was polite, spoke English well and was able to make reservations for us. The hotel is located very close to restaurants and shopping. The room was small (more of your standard European room) and the air conditioning was not the best. The facilities were fine, the room clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is difficult to find. It is off of a very small street and in a plaza that no one had heard of. We stopped at another hotel to get better directions.

This hotel is very central and close to all bars and Restaurants. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly, the rooms were lovely, the only drawback was the room we had, faced some waste ground which was used as a dumping site for rubbish,so not a room with a view.

This hotel was fabulous, great pool, short walk to the beach, friendly service, and our room included breakfast which was a really nice buffet each morning. It's not right in town, so you'd have to take a cab or drive into town. We got upgraded to a room that had a second floor terrace with a hot tub on the roof. It was awesome.

Very nice hotel but a nightmare to find if you were travelling by car, or an out of town taxi driver. Very friendly staff. Internet access expensive compared to other hotels, would have been nice to have had tea/coffee making facilities and room service not confined to pizza by 'phone.

Right next to Cathedral, the Capilla Real, restaurant, and shopping area. Alhambra is easy to get to with a bus stop near by.

Price was right, location was great, room was clean. We actually really liked that there were hardwood floors in the room.

Hotel Hesperia is a fairly new hotel that gaining popularity fast in Granada. It is in a perfect location right at the center of everything at Plaza Gamboa, which is right next to Plaza Carmen (1 minute from the huge post office that is right in the center). The room is very nice and great for the price. Bathroom is also very nice. The tub stretches pretty long so not too small at all. The water pressure is absolutely marvelous and the water heats up to a perfect temperature to soothe the body after a long day of walking around the City of Granada. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone!

wir waren im grossen und ganzen sehr zufrieden. Nachts war es etwas lärmig wegven 2 Pubs, die in umnittelbarer Nähe liegen.

Personalen var vänlig och trevlig och städningen var utmärkt. Hotellet har nära till det mesta, men ligger så till att ljud från närliggande restauranger möjligen kan vara ett problem för en småbarnsfamilj som vill ha ett fönster öppet. Ljud är hotellets enda problem, verksamhet i hotellets offentliga utrymmen hördes för väl, åtminstone i vårt rum. Att frukosten är aningen trist drar också ner betyget från 5 till 4.

En este hotel existen dos habitaciones interiores por piso, no tiene el datalle simplísimo de preguntar si quieres una habitación interior o exterior, un simple pregunta soluciona incomodidades varias, increible, te la asignan por si tragas, tu vas a relajarte y ellos intentan impedirlo y no es que el hotel estuviera lleno, gente que funciona así no merecen que seamos sus clientes, me equivoqué.

Dommage qu'il ait fallu attendre 20 mn pour que le réceptionniste recopie les cartes d'identité sur son ordinateur; je pensais que l'on pouvaif circuler librement en Europe....

Sería recomendable que se cuidara más el mantenimiento de los detalles del baño (gel etc.)
