The VIP Exec Suites Eden is absolutely in the best location you can find. In the heart of Lisbon. Close to restaurants, metro and the waterfront. No need for pricey cabs. You can walk to everything or metro if a little further. Hotel service was a little lame. The room has a safe. We had a kitchenette which was good. The washroom has an American shower which was a luxury (none of this half glass vs. a full shower curtain). The sofa bed was more comfy than the roll out bed and the master bed. Something wrong there. Otherwise a great hotel overall.

Good location,very central in down town. The hotel states that its four star. I would say its closer to two stars. The rooms have a very low standard and does not feel clean. The receptionist would not assist my wife with her bag even thou she was pregnant and carrying a other baby. There is no parking at the hotel, even not to off load luggage. We were stand at a very busy bus stop. To park the car you had to park half way in a subwaystation and pay 40 euros for 24h.

Have not seen worse since interail 1975. not to be recomended. The 4 stars are a hoaxe.

Central location useful for most major sights, located right beside bus stop to/from airport. The kitchenette was handy for brewing a cup of coffee and having breakfast, but little else due to a lack of basic utensils. Even coffee cups were in short supply. This falls into the category of hotels in which I really could not sleep, with uncomfortable beds and street noise. While clean, the whole place had seen better days and really had not been refurbished since the 1980s and was very tired looking. Staff were ok and borderline welcoming. The rooftop swimming pool is a major draw and the views great. But I definitely would not use the VIP Executive Eden again or recommend it to anybody.

I stayed 4 nights at the VIP Eden hotel. While the building is a great ode to Deco architecture the interior is a shameful rendition of 90's low budget design. Mind you for the price who would complain however such a landmark is worthy of facelift. Internet service (paid) is marginal at best and no one seems to care. The staff at the front desk barely lifts a head when you enter and does not seem to recognize you as a guest even after 4 days. This is expensive real estate, location could not be better fo why is the hotel so tired? For a bit more you can stay in a very nice accomodation just steps away.

Hotel is more like a 2.5 *. usually for european hotels you subtract one start to get the actual rating but for this hotel you need to subtract 1.5 *. The only thing going for it is that it has good location close to center of city. One of the problems I had is that the shower didn't have hot water in the morning. I had to wait till 1 pm to be able to get hot water in the room. The last day i was checking out at 8 am and had to skip the shower because the water was sooo cold ! I had to go on a 18-hour trip to the U.S. dirty !

Would recommend this hotel for its convenience to all the must see sights in Lisbon.The Aerobus brings you to the door of the hotel from the airport.The hop on hop off sightseeing buses stop also outside the door of the hotel. The staff were very helpful and rooms were clean and comfortable.

Fantastic location in the center of Lisbo, walking distance to the water, the castle, old town; airport transfer bus stop across the street. Hotel staff is courteous and helpful. The rooms are a bit run down but perhaps deserve the 4-start rating. LCD TV set in the room - nice.

Location of the hotel is very convenient. The room size and facilities are good. However the decoration of the room is somewhat simple.

Guests-beware, 4 stars it claims to have should be no more than 2, and for the money they charge they do not provide the simplest service like air conditioning. Stuff is not helpful and irresponsible. Upon arriving (hot and humid day) realized a/c is not working. Called front desk and clerk promised to send maintenance tech immediately. Have spent about 40 min. in room - nobody showed up. Called again and was assured the tech is aware of the problem. Left room and went out for couple of hours. On return - a/c is not working still. Called front desk again and was told it is too late to get in touch with maintenance. On my Q. why nobody came before couldn't get an answer, tried to get another room and answer was that hotel is fully booked and nothing could be done. What make things worse, window was leading to busy street, and it got extremely noisy (Saturday night). We slept no more than 2 hours that night. On top of it, bathroom door was unable to close, toilet loose and shaking on the floor. I have never complained before, while being frequent traveler and have seen a lot of different places and accommodations. But this one really upsets me so I decided to share my experience.

Wonderful location. Lots of the areas in Lisbon not too friendly looking, no worries here. We walked around every night, nice and peaceful. Starbucks is a 2 minute or less walk which we enjoyed. Staff was helpful with area information.

This is a great hotel for the price. The location is superb, just off Rossio Square and a very short walk to the Bairro Alto area where most of the good bars & restaurants are. The walk to Bairro Alto is up a very steep hill but there's a cable car also available. The hotel itself has a fab rooftop swimming pool & sun loungers, with views of the entire city. There's a bar up there too but we often found that it was closed for long periods during its "opening" hours. The rooms were quite basic for a 4 star hotel but they were still comfortable & had a convenient kitchenette. The air conditioning in our room could be left on all day if desired so the room was always at the right temperature. My only minor grievance is that they gave us a twin room with the 2 beds pushed together rather than the double room that we'd booked and were very unapologetic about this when i asked if we could move, simply saying that all double rooms were full. Overall really happy with this hotel for the price & will definitely return if I visit Lisbon during the summer again.

The hotel could not be better located.5 mn walk from the old part of the city, where the action takes place. From the outside it looks quite nice and from the swimming pool on the top of the building the view is breathtaking.The drinks on the Bar terrace are a bit expensive though. Actually I 've got only one complain and it has to do with the cleanliness of the hotel: how come that there were so many cockroaches? The carpets of the room are pretty worn out and we were bothered at night by cockroaches jumping on the bed.Really scary.What a pity in such a nice hotel. We did not want to make a fuss out of it and when we mention this point at the reception when we left the hotel, they did not want to let us pay for the drinks. A nice gesture, but as you can imagine, this kind of experience cannot leave you with a good opinion of this place.

The room was very clean and quiet - great location, close to subway/metro. Our room contained a complete kitchen. The desk staff were very helpful. The hotel has a swimming pool on the top floor as well as a bar.

We were a little skittish after reading some reviews of this hotel. Location was perfect, pool was clean and fun, room was clean and comfortable and the staff could not have been nicer. The hotel needs a little facelift, but if it had it it would be unaffordable pushing it to a 5 star. Those who complain about a little wear and tear need to rethink their priorities.

A great family hotel, fantastic location central to everything. The apartment is clean and great for everyday living. Yes the main bed is uncomfortable but by the second night we got used to it. I would book again.

Excellent location, friendly, professional staff, clean room with kitchenette. Only negative comment was the room temperature. Air conditioning was not yet turned on in March so it was warm. Good air flow but not able to regulate to a cooler temperature. That would not be a deal braker, I would stay there again. Very Very convenient to metro, bus and trains yet out of city center slightly.

Stayed here for a stag do where we had three apartment rooms. We got a really good rate with the rooms for both nights and in terms of value for money it was excellent. We arrived a bit early and check-in wasn't until 3PM but the hotel offered a luggage store and given the location, we were able to explore the local area very easily. The location of the hotel is brilliant, its walking distance from everything going on in Lisbon - Barrio Alto is a 10 min walk up the hill where all the night life is. And you're on the doorstep of the main squares. The staff when we checked in were very stressed out and quite rude. We had to wait for nearly 2 hours before on of the rooms were available and very little in terms of an apology was offered! Only downside of the trip The rooms themselves are basic, but offer everything you need. The kitchen was decent enough and had all the kit required etc. I would def recommend this hotel if you're looking for a cheaper stay and not bothered about the quality aspect too much. The location is perfect and def the plus point. Only downside were the staff who were unhelpful at times.

we were upgraded to an appartment for 4 people. The hotel is very well located. The view from the roof terrace is gorgious. I would defnitely recomment it.

The hotel is very close to all areas I was interested in and conveniently located for airport shuttle - right across the street. Rooftop pool area provided a great view of the area and if I am fortunate enough to return to Lisbon, I would definitely stay here again.

Overall, it was a good place. I stayed there at the beginning and end of my trip. The one negative was that on the second day, the young man working the desk was a poor representation of the hotel. He looked like he just rolled out of bed, and didn't seem to know what he was doing. Fortunately, a coworker came in and was able to set things straight. She was very professional and was able to answer all of our questions. Just hope you don't have the young man helping you, and you'll enjoy your stay.

This was in a fantastic location right beside the bus stop from the airport. The staff were very helpful with directions and suggestions. I would recommend this hotel to other travellers. I would come back to this hotel if I visited Lisbon again. Great room, great facilities. I am a very happy customer.

This hotel is a must for anyone staying in Lisboa! You can't ask for a better location, which is in close proximity to buses and trains to go everywhere. It was only a 15 minute bus ride from the airport as well. I hated the fact that some of the staff (I don't mean cleaners, etc; I'm talking about reception) did not have a firmer grasp of basic English words. Working in a hotel in a largely tourist destination means that one should be above a basic level in the world's universal language. Overall though, this hotel was well worth the money for 5 nights. Oh, by the way, don't pay for breakfast, go out and get your own.

A friend and I stayed at the VIP Eden Suites and were pleased and displeased at the same time. First, this location is perfect for navigating Lisbon by foot and public transport. The Aerobus stop from the airport is literally right outside the hotel. The hotel, however, was not what we expected. We had a "suite," which was essentially a small hotel room, two twin beds and a kitchen tucked off to the side. The kitchen had all the amenities one would need. The room was outdated and worn. There were stains on the carpet. There was a light bulb out in the bathroom that never got fixed, and I was not impressed with the housekeeping. Further, the staff at the front desk were mostly frowns and no one ever said hello when we entered the hotel. We found one person, however, who helped us coordinate day tours of Sintra and Cacscais. The view from the terrace was amazing, but the pool is nothing notable. All in all, we are glad we stayed at VIP Eden Suites due to the convenience to the buses, metro, tour buses, trams. Also, there were plenty of yummy restaurants nearby. Lisbon is magical, and we did not let the shortcomings of this hotel distract us from our adventure. The condition of the room did not matter as much because we spent minimal time in the room, but a 4 start hotel, it is not.

Our stay was very pleasant. Swimming pool is not as big as it looks in the pictures but does the work in hot days for a short dipping after a day trip in Lisbon at summer time :). At the last night, they had a problem in the air conditionning system and it was quite warm in the room. That was their only fault during our stay (We spent there 4 nights). After notifying them about it during the night and at the morning, they just apolgized. Beside that, the stay was very pleasant,

We were a family of two adults and two childre and suite nature of the room was just perfect for the family. The kitchenette was well furnished for my family.

the position of this hotel is very good, almost in the hurt of Lisbon, useful links to public transportation from the hotel, including the Aero-bus from / to the airport; BUT, the conditions in the hotel itself weren't so good, the beds aren't comfortable for slipping, the bed was hard almost like a stone and the blankets were full of dust. in addition the sheets were quite dirty and there was awful smell from the sanitary installation and the windows couldn't be fully opened (just a little bit) you could fell the air condition just at night when the natural temperature outside drop down... there is a terrace at the Top floor of the hotel with a small pool, which is free to use, but the lobby is extremely small. finally, I would recommend this hotel only for families who seek for a large space in the center of the city at a reasonable price, but for the others to find another place to stay...

The hotel is excellent, and well-situated. The terrace has a pool, a large sitting area, a gorgeous view, and an excellent buffet breakfast. Our room was clean and well-laid out. We had a kitchenette that was quite handy. The staff was friendly and helpful with tour information, etc. We highly recommend the VIP Executive Suites Eden in Lisbon.

This hotel is situated at the very best location. Lots of good restaurants in the neigborhood and close to many tourist places. The hotel is right in front of the Metro station. Although the rooms have only basic furnitures they are equipped with a small kitchen and they are very spacious. If you have teenage children, it is absolutely the best place to stay.

Hotel is conveniently located in the old town and next to the train station. Staff is helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay at this hotel again.

This was a perfect jumping off spot for sightseeing in Lisbon. All modes of transportation are handy. Good restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Room was comfortable and quiet but nothing special. It would have been helpful to have the instructions to the microwave/oven handy. Kitchen was adeguately equipped. The staff was most helpful! Everyone spoke English and all staff members were most receptive to all questions. All and all an excellent choice to visit Lisbon.

We stayed in eden hotel for 3 nights with friends.Enjoyed every moment.it is situated in the center of the city.The staff was very kind and helped us a lot especially Louis .We asked him a lot of questions and he found time answering us to all of them. The rooms were very clean and there are a lot of restaurants and shops in the area.We want to recomand this hotel to another people who want to stay in Lisbone.We were very satisfied.

My husband and I stayed three glorious nights here. The location was perfect. The kitchenette had everything even a dishwasher. Pool on the rooftop was a most enjoyable bonus with fantastic views. We were thrilled and will go back . So central to all amenities. Tourist Office, Bus & Metro outside the door. Brilliant !

The VIP Eden is a superbly located aparthotel near the Metro, the Airport Bus and the funicular tram up to the Bairro Alto. The rooftop pool was very useful place to relax in after a long days sightseeing in the Lisbon heat. I would have a few quibbles about the maintanence of the hotel, as some of the equipment (microwaves & toasters) had seen better days. Some better monitoring of the activities of the pool's users would also help, as on my first day there someone broke the ladders into the pool. Though one of the ladders had been fixed on my return a week later. All in all though, I found it very good value for the location and facilities

Net hotel. Wat ouder, maar wel goed schoon. De locatie is top, vlakbij alle belangrijke bezienswaardigheden. Op de bovenste verdieping zit bar. En daar wordt ook het ontbijt geserveerd. Dit is van zeer slechte kwaliteit! Kosten zijn 8,50 euro p.p. Daarvoor krijg je oude broodjes en water met een oranje kleur, wat jus d'orange moet voorstellen. Niet doen; lekker in de stad gaan ontbijten. bijv. bij Starbuck net om de hoek.

Hôtel très bien placé et central pour visiter Lisbonne. Terrasse magnifique pour prendre le petit déjeuner (à améliorer car qualité très moyenne). Formule apparthotel idéale en famille. Mais manque de charme et odeur bizarre dans les circulations et les chambres. Mériterait d'être un peu rafraichi pour être vraiment au top!
